Solid seafood spot with some hits and some just okays. Me and my wife both had the grouper sandwich on ciabatta bread. It was decent, nothing great. Got the job done but didn't blow us away. My sister in law, though? She ordered the whole fish and it was awesome. That's the move here. If you're coming to Dixie Fish Company, go for the more adventurous option. The drinks are good. Reasonably priced too at around ten to twelve dollars, which is fair for this type of place. Be prepared for the prices though. You're looking at around $25 for the average entree. It can add up quick. But if you're ordering right and going for the standout dishes, it's worth it. The Verdict: Dixie Fish Company is a four and a half star experience. The whole fish was the winner, the grouper sandwich was just okay, and the drinks were solid. A little pricey, but the quality is there when you order the right thing. We'll be back to explore more of the menu.

Cool place (but yeah crazy hot because it's outside in SW Florida). My wife had the Cajun pasta and she loved it !! Great dish with shrimp chicken and sausage. I had the hogfish catch of the day and I was a little disappointed. Two small thin filets for $36. Not much of a value. I would not get it again. We catch hogs all the time and they did not do it justice. Sides were amazing. Bar service was good. All in all a good meal

Had a delicious lunch with a great view and amazing server. Kelsey was great - friendly and attentive. The fried green tomatoes were delicious and the sauce yummy . The Yucatán shrimp was so delicious- the tacos and the peel and eat. The yucatan sauce is the bomb !! The homemade chips were crispy and full of flavor. We loved everything.

Catch of the Day, Tripletail fish cooked the 'Dixie Way' with butter and garlic. Sides are rosemary parsley potatoes and collard greens.

What a magical fish shack restaurant that sits on the water at Fort Myers beach! My daughter and I celebrated our 50th and 75th Birthdays there! The ambiance, with island vibes and open windows with Gulf breezes, live music, great service and superior fresh caught fish! We can't wait to go back again! We both ordered the Catch of the Day which was Tripletail fish and you can have it prepared about 4 different ways. We chose the 'Dixie Way' with butter and garlic. My sides were rosemary parsley potatoes and collard greens that will make you sing Hallelujah! Could barely eat a shared piece of Key Lime Pie we were so full. Run there-you won't retreat it.

We visited Dixie Fish Co on a Friday afternoon. Parking was a bit tricky, so plan ahead. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table, but it got very busy shortly after we were seated and wait times increased quite a bit. It was a sunny, warm day and we sat outside under an umbrella, though there wasn't much shade coverage. The overall vibe is a casual, waterfront fish shack--laid-back and lively. We started with the stone crabs. While the crab itself was great, the mustard sauce was a little too mayo-forward for our taste and wasn't our favorite. For my entrée, I had the hogfish special served over sweet potato mash with green beans. The hogfish was fresh and delicious, but the sides missed the mark--the green beans were overcooked and the mash was a bit watery and lacked consistency. My husband and daughter both ordered the whole fried fish (yellowtail snapper that day), and they both said it was perfect and absolutely delicious. The fries were good, and while the red beans and rice were just okay, my husband really enjoyed the zucchini and tomato side. Service by Olivia was spectacular--attentive, kind, and always on top of everything we needed. We come back here every time we're in the area. My takeaway: come for the fresh fish and great service, not the sides.

I HATE THIS PLACE!!!! BECAUSE ITS 200 miles from home!!! HOW CAN IT BE SO GOOD? Grouper cheeks! Tender as all can be and a really unique choice, while overlooking the water and lights from The bridge. The music is great but..... THE MUSSELS! Are to DIE FOR! Iv never had a unique blend of flavors EVER!. The broth of the mussels, with the sweet onion and chorizo... im lost for words. I can get kicked in the face and it would not matter! This was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Id ask for the broth of the mussles in a togo cup actually.... PLEASE COME HERE

When you're in Fort Myers or Cape Coral area, you just have to try Dixie's. It was a beautiful day, with beautiful weather for al fresco dining. We came here with my BF's parents and enjoyed everything. The mussels appetizer was incredible; I can drink that broth. Grouper cheeks were just as delicious, and I got the whole fish again, and their Bloody Mary is bloody good! I love this place. Service was awesome!

Love the grouper cheeks, it's my favorite thing here. Stone crab claws were yummy and the burger was big, not as good as last time, a little dry. The chowder was absolutely what i needed on a cold day.

We ordered the calamari, hogfish, crab cake sandwich, and a daiquiri. The highlight of the meal was definitely the hogfish -- it was excellent and I really enjoyed trying something local. It was well prepared and easily the standout dish. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't quite measure up. The calamari came out cold, and the accompanying sauce felt generic and underwhelming. The crab cake sandwich had a similar issue -- it lacked freshness and depth of flavor. The daiquiri was decent, but not quite what we were expecting. Overall, only one of the dishes felt truly worth the trip. While I'm glad I tried it, I wouldn't personally return.

We loved Dixie Fish Co.! The waterfront setting was beautiful, and our waiter was very friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. For an early dinner, we ordered the grouper sandwich with coleslaw and the snapper with roasted potatoes and zucchini. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The grouper sandwich was especially yummy, and the snapper was cooked perfectly and paired wonderfully with the sides. The only downside was that the menu doesn't offer a large variety of options. However, the quality and flavor of the food more than make up for it, and the meal was well worth the price. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return for another meal by the water.

Have wanted to go here for a long time. Love the location on the back bay of Fort Myers Beach by the crab boats. Great relaxing environment. We went for lunch and did not have to wait to be seated. Service was very attentive. They even have local beers, love the support for our breweries. We got the grouper Reuben sandwich and grouper tacos. Our friend got the whole fried fish. All of our meals were cook well. The grouper of Ruben was delicious. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back.

I stumbled upon this bar right by the water, and the setting is stunning--especially with the Christmas lights during the holidays. I sat at the bar and had a fantastic experience thanks to the bartender; she was the highlight of the night and incredibly helpful with beer recommendations. Speaking of, the beer was delicious! I also ordered the fish and chips, and the portions are massive. While the fries were great, the fish was just "okay" for me--nothing special compared to others I've had--but the atmosphere and service more than made up for it.

Pinchers Ft Myers Beach…read more Birthday Dinner at Pinchers Fort Myers Beach: We visited Pinchers on Fort Myers Beach for my birthday dinner on Friday at 4 p.m. We were seated quickly, and our server, Dorlina, promptly took our drink and food orders. What We Ordered: * Hot Crab & Cheese Dip * Crab & Corn Chowder * New England Clam Chowder * Blackened Grouper Sandwich with Mashed Potatoes and Baked Beans * Bourbon Salmon with Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, and Coleslaw * Caesar Salad Food and Flavor: The Soups and Dip came out first, and everything was served hot, flavorful, and delicious. Our main dishes arrived shortly afterward. My blackened Grouper Sandwich was amazing, especially with the Mashed Potatoes and Baked Beans. My wife's Bourbon Salmon was simply the best Salmon we have had in this area. The Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans were excellent, and the Coleslaw was on another level--absolutely fantastic. Our friend's Caesar Salad filled the plate, tasted fresh, and had dressing that was spot on. Service and Hospitality: The food was excellent, and Dorlina's service was outstanding. Janet the Manager also stopped by to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. When we asked for extra Bourbon Sauce for my wife's Salmon, she brought it back right away, even though she was busy. Kudos to Pinchers for great management and great service. A Special Birthday Surprise: Because it was my birthday, the team surprised me with a slice of Key Lime Pie topped with a large sparkler. It was a fun and memorable way to end the meal. Final Thoughts: I can't wait to go back, and you should not wait either. Thank you, Pinchers, for an amazing birthday dinner. Five stars! Gulf Coast Terry

Another plus for coming here with kids is that they eat free for every paying adult (I think there's a price amount but not sure), so three of the kids ate free. The children's menu is pretty boring, however. It's basically hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers...Don't you wish they had some more fish options? Another plus factor is that it's a casual noisy place. No dress code -- so we saw a bit of everything from daisy dukes to overalls. And it was a bit loud so no worries about the kids disturbing the other diners. Service alone here warrants four stars. David was patient with all the special requests and numerous drink refills, etc etc. Kudos! My husband and I each had gulf oysters to start. He had a half dozen raw and one of the kids even tried one! I had a half dozen steamed. The oysters were very good. For entrees, I had their (one) softshell dinner. I got it sautéed and did green beans twice for my side. The softshell crab was good but very small. My husband just had a shrimp cocktail. Fresh and nice sized shrimp. His grand daughter and one of the kids shared the Alaskan crab special. It was rather skimpy for the price. And since they were still hungry, they added on a shrimp cocktail. The other kids did a hot dog, chicken fingers, and a burger. They came with fries -- cute rounds of fried potatoes with smiley faces. For dessert, we sampled the carrot cake, the chocolate cake, and the key lime pie. The dessert portions were huge (and priced to match) but well worth it. They took most of the desserts home. We'd been to another Pinchers before, but we felt this one was better. Glad we stopped here for dinner.

While it wasn't quite what I anticipated, I can see them being a great option for someone who enjoys that flavor profile. The standout for me, though, was the key lime pie. It's award-winning for a reason. No artificial colors or gimmicks -- just a well-balanced pie with a delicious nut-infused crust. It was easily the best thing we ordered. We do come here for dinner typically everytime we come down to the beach because it never…read moredisappoints! Last night, for the 4th of July, we came with a party of 8. They told us it would be about a 45 minute wait but we got sat right away because we asked for first available. We ended up being seated outside by the water. (Thank goodness cuz inside was just too chaotic) It was beautiful! Our table was right on the edge, kinda scared, but cool. Im surprised there was no gate. I wonder how many people have fallen in? My husband and I always share chowder as an appetizer. As usual, delishous.. i got the Beachbake (haddock with 4 crab stuffed shrimp.) It was good, but not what I was in the mood for. The veggie was zucchini, squash and red peppers. Cooked perfect. And i substituted the rice for the coconut crusted onion rings.. OMG!! I could of had just those for dinner and been happy! Get those for your app next time your there! They are so big and crunchy and the tropical dipping sauce is so good too! I was about to eat the rest of it out of the cup with a spoon! Lol. Having those on the side is probably why I didnt enjoy my dinner as I should have. My husband got the fried grouper dinner. There fries are so big and crispy too! And they have some great tarter sauce. Very good sized portions! He was definitely full after. Some of the others: got the special, Bbq pulled pork sandwich, The sailors delight and boom boom shrimp tacos. The presentation for everything was great and no complaints about anything.. (except the mango margaritas seemed like they forgot the alcohol. But the Moscow mules were good) Our waitress was very attentive, personable, and on top of everything the whole time we were there. It got to be sunset time and what a perfect place to be to see the sunset! We loved where we sat watching all the people come up on their boats and dock and just walk up for dinner. I really wish I had room for some dessert because I wanted to try the Pina colada bread pudding might just make a date night and go for that. Apparently they do events! I took a pic of the info. I might have to look into it for our next party we host. Until next time... enjoy!!

Nervous Nellie's is a cute waterfront restaurant with ample indoor and outdoor seating on the river…read morejust under the north bridge. The menu is massive, but the food I ordered was just OK. I tried the Shrimp and Scallop Bruschetta which was served kind of like a gumbo soup with a side of too-crispy toast points. I wanted it to be so much better. And the cornbread was also not appetizing. I needed it a little drier (it was too soggy) and with some traditional butter. I'd go back and try a burger or something else, because the location is awesome and the service is really good.
