Always nice to have an ice cream during lunch break! This location is quite near my work place so very convenient. You can sit on the benches facing Canada Place to enjoy the sun and views of the north shore. The flavors they offer are quite unique and tasty. I don't know if they change often but I got to have the black sesame which I have not seen at their location at Olympic village. Great ice cream and fast service. Highly recommended.

Such a yummy spot for gelato in downtown Vancouver! Located right along the sea wall with a beautiful view of coal harbour. Lots of delicious flavors. I got two scoops for $8.90 - the burnt caramel and Oreo were delicious!

Pretty little shop, the salted caramel was to die for. The staff was very nice as well. Music was a pleasant volume

A nice and convenient location for gelato while you are in downtown. And it was great they have the option to sample the flavours to narrow down your choice! They have a variety of cones to choose from. The gelato are a bit on the sweeter side for me and opt for the less sweet option, Italian Espresso. And I found the Italian Espresso had a bit stronger flavour then the others. The Black Sesame is another good choice as well! Overall an easy option grab some cool treats when you are in the area.

Uno Gelato's Akbar Mashti is truly exceptional. The pistachio pieces perfectly complements the unique taste of saffron and rosewater, and is a rare flavor that you probably won't see anywhere else. (in Vancouver anyway) Their vegan midnight chocolate is also outstanding and I honestly couldn't even tell that it was dairy free when I first tried it! It's made of extremely dark chocolate without being too bitter and it has a very clean after taste. My friends really enjoyed their fruit flavours such as cherry and mango, but I prefer creamier ones such as black sesame and mint chocolate chip. Uno Gelato is definitely my go-to ice cream place in Vancouver.

This was our first time having gelato that was not from a grocery store, so I don't have too much to compare it to. I got the Oreo cookies and cream and thought the taste was great and really enjoyed it. Husband had the caramel and said he liked mine better with the chunks of Oreos. I thought it was a little on the pricey side for a small scoop but maybe that's just what you get with gelato.

I've been eagerly waiting for this location to open and have delicious ice cream. The day has finally arrived and Uno Gelato is open for business. I think it's been worth the wait. It's a bit of a smaller store and as a result there are fewer flavours to choose from. I think it's a good choice as the few I tasted and were all delicious and had me struggling to choose. Their matcha was absolutely amazing. The torrone was something different and neat. The chocolates all were unique but stayed chocolatey. Ended with a the classic salted caramel. Was sweet and tasty to the last lick. My only complaint was the chocolate cone. It tasted more burnt than chocolate as a whole. I like having something different and hope that is fixed in the future. Uno Gelato was a great dessert stop for my first time visiting. I hope to make many more stops in future and to try many new flavours as well.

Ever since we heard about the owner's new gelato place, this has been on my "to try" list for ages! Well the time was right and off we went to give this place a try. Parking is plenty since the shop is located around the side of the Vancouver Convention Center, although it is a pay lot (like everything downtown!) Finding this location was easy though since the classic gelato cart was sitting outside of their doors. Walking in we were greeted promptly by the friendly staff, and were presented with all of the flavours right in front of us in all its glory! My girlfriend chose the Deliziosa Fragola on a regular waffle cone and I got the Salted Caramel and White Coffee on a chocolate cone. As you can see from my photo I couldn't wait to dig into my gelato andboy I was not disappointed at all! The flavours were extremely rich and the texture was very creamy and smooth. The cones were very crispy and didn't get soggy as we got down to the last bite. Overall Uno Gelato met and exceeded our expectations since we already knew what the owner was capable of making. If you are looking for a lovely stroll along the waterfront or just a nice gelato place this should be at the top of your list!

If you're looking for rich flavours, this is the gelato shop for you! I had the salted caramel, and it was super caramely. I wouldn't be able to eat more than a scoop, but it was definitely satisfying. For people looking for something on the lighter side, they do have more fruity flavours. Strawberry lime, in particular, looked intriguing. Location is in a touristy area so expect to fight the crowds here, especially during cruise ship season.

I tried the salted caramel and it wasn't the best I ever had but it's gelato so it's hard for it to be bad. I tried the chocolate cone and it didn't taste very chocolatey to me...it had a weird burnt taste to it so it wasn't that pleasant. Stick with a normal waffle cone!

My boyfriend and I happened upon this artisan ice cream shop in Yaletown and we were impressed. We…read moretried the dark chocolate (magnificent) and the matcha (more subtle and for the true pure matcha flavor lover) ice creams and enjoyed seeing the folks there make our ice cream from scratch using liquid nitrogen. The folks working there were kind and professional. They looked like wickedly good witches as they added natural ingredients to their metal cauldrons, and then added the liquid nitrogen, creating a rapidly rising fog. So, really, you are getting ice cream and a show! The concoctions emerged as super smooth, not too sweet, distinct fresh flavorful ice cream. It is a small shop with limited seating, so not likely to be a comfie sit down experience for you given how popular the place is, but it is easy food to take to go and a very nice area for a stroll. So, that's the scoop! ;)

I can't really tell if this is good ice cream or is it more just a gimmick. Like I saw the line…read moreoutside and I was craving something sweet so me and my group each got something different. We tried the ice cream sandwich, the creme brulee cup, and the s'mores bar. I would say everything was good, but probably not something we would get again. After a while it just got a little too sweet and the portion was a little big so we didn't finish most of it. The next time I go if I ever go again I would just get one thing and share it because a bite or two is probably all you need to satisfy your sweet craving.

Located in a random spot? Check. Only one staff member working? Check. We've been a couple times and I have yet to see it busy. A few people pop in but no one ever lingers. Most likely because there's no seating. There's also a sign on the counter stating you can only sample 2 flavours during peak hours. There's usually 10 to 12 flavours to choose from; always something unique and interesting. They also have sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and doughnuts on the menu. - Mango raspberry swirl and London fog ($7.00 double) - waffle cone is included and it was better than expected. The ice cream itself tastes a bit denser but still has a creamy satisfying texture. The London fog was fantastic! The mango raspberry was more mango than raspberry but also quite good. - London fog ($5.00 single) - came back on a Monday and they only had four flavours that day. We went with the London fog; just as good as the last time. - Dark chocolate and black sesame with honey ($7.00 double) - the dark chocolate tasted like a fudgesicle but better. Not too sweet and hefty; it was so heavy it almost fell off the cone! The black sesame was delicious. Not quite like the ones we had in Japan but tasty and flavourful. I'll be back again and again! Love the laid back, no frills vibe at Rooster's. One of our favourite ice cream spots!

Ambiance resembles like a really old former laundry mat. Quality of ice cream is there. However, cookies and donuts were sold out so no sandwiches available for the ice cream. Pretty decent scoop. I am not sure if I would come back... I prefer seating with my ice cream.
