My girlfriend and I drove past Uno Pizzeria on our way to AMC at Clifton Commons across Rt. 3 to see Sinners (great movie btw, go see it). I mentioned that I haven't had it in a while and she mentioned she's never been nor has she had deep dish pizza. It was then that we decided we'd go to Uno for our post-movie meal. We got out of the theater at 10PM so naturally the restaurant was pretty empty. There was a group at the bar and one other table eating. Our order was taken very quickly and the food came out in a reasonable time. We went with the Numero Uno and the Chicago Meat Market. The pizzas were both good, just the right amount of sauce with a generous amount of topping. It was nice and cheesy too which is always appreciated. However the crust just wasn't as nice and buttery as I remember. Some parts were a little dry too. I feel like the crust was a little moister when I had it as a kid, but I guess that's me looking at it through rose-tinted glasses. Nevertheless, the pizzas were still good. We were seated at the bar area which had a lot of TVs. Since it's playoff basketball time I appreciated that so I could catch some of the game. Service was good and very attentive, but it should have been since there were only a few parties in the place. I still enjoyed. It just isn't as good as I remember.

The food and service and the waiter was great. And the ambiance was great also. Good music and a lot of classic Chicago Photos. This is the one in Clifton NJ

Came in for late night pizza and drinks. Had the chicken bacon ranch Detroit style pie and fried pickle fries. The food was amazing and our server Ciara was extremely friendly and attentive. Excellent service and great food.

I wasn't really expecting much from an Uno's but I was expecting the pizza to be hot at the least. I had never had Uno's before so I didn't think it could be that bad. It's just deep dish pizza after all. Hubby and I came in for lunch on a Sunday at around 1:30, and it was pretty empty. We ordered the classic Numero Uno (Sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, mushrooms, Uno's own chunky vine-ripened tomato sauce, mozzarella and romano). The toppings actually weren't bad. There's also a generous amount but like I said, the pizza wasn't hot. It was only hot on top but the inside was lukewarm. If you're looking for deep dish pizza, you're better off buying a frozen pizza from the supermarket section rather than paying for a frozen pizza. In fact, I think they even sell the Uno's brand in supermarkets so you can get that and at least your pizza will be hot.

My first time at an Uno Pizzeria, and I am ashamed to say that I would gladly come back here for the ... 50 cent wings on Wednesdays. The wings were juicy and piping hot- on the other hand the pizza left me a bit disappointed. They were running a 50% off carry out pizza if you dined in, which may be worth for big families. Also be careful! As a party of 4, they automatically charged us 20% tip, so make sure to double check your receipt. - Numero Uno Deep Dish: 2/5, crust was too thick and hard to eat, slice fell apart. My expectation was not a true deep dish pizza, but flavor fell flat as it tasted like it came out of the freezer - Lobster Thin Crust: 3/5, generous lobster portions but tasted like frozen seafood. Crispy thin crust - Garlic Parm Chicken: 4/5, juicy wings! was on the saltier side, was missing the garlic flavor. Both wings came with ranch - Mike's Hot Honey: 3.5/5, juicy wings but super salty and wasn't able to taste the spicy or sweetness of the honey Surprisingly, I would come here for the wings...

    Chicago Classic Deep Dish (Individual)

Very disappointed in the quality of the Deep Dish pizza. They even remade it. Extremely salty & cheese was difficult to chew (low fat?). Looked forward to this all night & it was nothing like the past. Crust was very hard, not the soft buttery biscuit crust I remember. It also used to be a real double crust deep dish. This one was thinner than a local Sicilian crust. It tasted like frozen pizza with some tomatoes & canned Romano cheese dusted on top. Staff was very nice but I don't plan on returning anytime soon after this. So sad to see the food quality become so poor. Nice place, great location & parking. I wish the food was better.

My partner and I had dinner yesterday at UNO, located off of Route 3 West in Clifton, and we did not regret our choice. It's a chain establishment that is supposed to replicate Chicago-style pizza with a rich menu. Upon arrival at the host station, the vibe was inviting with the music playing in the background. We were greeted by the staff and got a table by the window from our last visit a year ago. We decided on the Detroit OTC and Super Roni pizza. The food arrived hot, well seasoned, and delicious. The cheese was awesome and the sauce perfect. The service was quick. Our server, Christian, was amazing and checked on us enough. While eating, the manager came over and asked how our food was. Our stomach was happy, and the price didn't break the wallet, which we can recommend.

This was my first time trying deep dish pizza and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the fact that I can choose marinara sauce over the chunky tomatoe sauce since I'm not a fan of it. It was really good. The crust actually held together without flopping and the cheese oozing off. I really liked the cheesy garlic bread also. The servers were great and did help you with any requests. The o ly thing I did not enjoy was how loud the place is. They even had a comedy show but because of the noise, you really couldn't hear them.

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

There's just something about them that you can't recreate. Yesterday, my buddies and I were supposed to hit The Belmont Tavern, but they were closed for the week. Rather than scrap the plan, we pivoted to Matthew's Italian Restaurant at the suggestion of one of the guys in the crew. What a great find. We were pleasantly surprised that an old school spot like this had somehow escaped us all these years. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, the staff was awesome, and most importantly, the food delivered. We came out swinging with Clams Oreganata, Meatballs, Stuffed Mushrooms, Mozzarella Carrozza, and two different types of Ravioli. Needless to say, the table filled up pretty quickly. For dinner, most of the crew went with either the Veal Parm or Chicken Parm. A nice touch is that they'll do the parm with vodka sauce if you want to switch things up. I went with the steak special and had absolutely no regrets. Dessert was on point too, but I'll leave a little something to your imagination. Great food, great service, great old school atmosphere, and exactly the kind of Italian restaurant I'm always looking to discover. Matthew's is officially on our list now.
