I wasn't expecting to get anything that was similar to a finer restaurant but I was surprised with my dish. I ordered a 10' gluten free vegan cheese pizza and it was so good, I finished the whole pie. Of course I had it with a 9 Oz glass of merlot wine.....hit the spot for me tonight! Love uno pizza. The servers are usually always kind and helpful. Everytime I go, there always a table available with little to no wait. Their deep dish pizzas are very filling and delicious. My first time visiting Unos I figured it would be just another regular food joint in town. Yet, after trying their food, I really have started craving it a lot more because of how good it was. I've been there only a few times and tried the classics; their Original Deep Dish pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parm and pasta. The wait staff is really friendly and you'll be seated quickly too. The atmosphere and interior design makes you feel like you're in a classic Chicago styled restaurant. I recommend coming here for either a sit down meal with family, or visiting the sports bar with friends, either choice is fine. read more

My girlfriend and I drove past Uno Pizzeria on our way to AMC at Clifton Commons across Rt. 3 to see Sinners (great movie btw, go see it). I mentioned that I haven't had it in a while and she mentioned she's never been nor has she had deep dish pizza. It was then that we decided we'd go to Uno for our post-movie meal. We got out of the theater at 10PM so naturally the restaurant was pretty empty. There was a group at the bar and one other table eating. Our order was taken very quickly and the food came out in a reasonable time. We went with the Numero Uno and the Chicago Meat Market. The pizzas were both good, just the right amount of sauce with a generous amount of topping. It was nice and cheesy too which is always appreciated. However the crust just wasn't as nice and buttery as I remember. Some parts were a little dry too. I feel like the crust was a little moister when I had it as a kid, but I guess that's me looking at it through rose-tinted glasses. Nevertheless, the pizzas were still good. We were seated at the bar area which had a lot of TVs. Since it's playoff basketball time I appreciated that so I could catch some of the game. Service was good and very attentive, but it should have been since there were only a few parties in the place. I still enjoyed. It just isn't as good as I remember. read more

Went for a lunch for 10 people yesterday after a college graduation. To begin with..,, Tables are sticky. I personally hate that so not a good start. Just scrub them down! Ordered a bunch of food, lots of apps for everyone. Not an issue. Entrees are overpriced. Had a BLT, surcharge for grilled chicken instead of turkey. $20 and had no taste. Add soda and tip and you're in for $30 bucks for one person......not even close to worth it. French fries were barely warm cold and had no taste. Seriously , serve the food hot. Now onto the pizza..,...it's in your name!.....high hopes came crashing down. Pizza like fries, barely hot. Cut into tiny squares. Imagine the size of a Celeste pizza for 1 you find in grocers freezer but had no crunch to the crust. Zero !!!! Flavor was a solid 1 on a scale of 1-10. ...Think school cafeterias pizza. Place has been there a while. Will never go again! Go to chilis for lunch , get a crispy chicken sandwich 3x the size, crispy hot, excellent seasoned fries, always hot, starter salad or unlimited chips/salsa and drink with unlimited refills. Get the raspberry lemonade! I have no doubt pizzeria uno or the franchisee will not be renewing lease here or go out of business sooner than that! I wasn't really expecting much from an Uno's but I was expecting the pizza to be hot at the least. I had never had Uno's before so I didn't think it could be that bad. It's just deep dish pizza after all. Hubby and I came in for lunch on a Sunday at around 1:30, and it was pretty empty. We ordered the classic Numero Uno (Sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, mushrooms, Uno's own chunky vine-ripened tomato sauce, mozzarella and romano). The toppings actually weren't bad. There's also a generous amount but like I said, the pizza wasn't hot. It was only hot on top but the inside was lukewarm. If you're looking for deep dish pizza, you're better off buying a frozen pizza from the supermarket section rather than paying for a frozen pizza. In fact, I think they even sell the Uno's brand in supermarkets so you can get that and at least your pizza will be hot. read more

Very disappointed in the quality of the Deep Dish pizza. They even remade it. Extremely salty & cheese was difficult to chew (low fat?). Looked forward to this all night & it was nothing like the past. Crust was very hard, not the soft buttery biscuit crust I remember. It also used to be a real double crust deep dish. This one was thinner than a local Sicilian crust. It tasted like frozen pizza with some tomatoes & canned Romano cheese dusted on top. My partner and I had dinner yesterday at UNO, located off of Route 3 West in Clifton, and we did not regret our choice. It's a chain establishment that is supposed to replicate Chicago-style pizza with a rich menu. Upon arrival at the host station, the vibe was inviting with the music playing in the background. We were greeted by the staff and got a table by the window from our last visit a year ago. We decided on the Detroit OTC and Super Roni pizza. The food arrived hot, well seasoned, and delicious. The cheese was awesome and the sauce perfect. The service was quick. Our server, Christian, was amazing and checked on us enough. While eating, the manager came over and asked how our food was. This was my first time trying deep dish pizza and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the fact that I can choose marinara sauce over the chunky tomatoe sauce since I'm not a fan of it. It was really good. The crust actually held together without flopping and the cheese oozing off. I really liked the cheesy garlic bread also. I hate doing this but, this experience really wasn't good. The food was sub par, at best. It didn't even come out hot, like it was waiting to be picked up. The service was slow. We had to move our own plates to the adjacent table when dinner came out because no one came by. I had to ask for silverware and sharing plates, multiple times. I don't like to write negative reviews, but after my last three experiences with this location and considering the prices, they need to be addressed. First of all Tuesday evenings feature karaoke starting at 6 PM. It's extremely loud. So loud in fact that it's impossible to have casual conversation over dinner. Additionally, I've had multiple issues with takeout orders on two separate occasions. I ordered the honey crisp chicken salad and each time something essential was missing. Once was the dressing and another time it was the chicken itself. When I reached out there was little willingness to correct the mistake or offer a refund. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company, which was a hassle. After mentioning these experiences to friends, it seems to be a common theme with this location. Management should really take a closer look at both quality control and customer service because right now it's not matching the prices being charged. read more

Went back to Unos with bank statement and receipt. Manager said their system automatically adds 20% tip. This is not an upscale place that you add 20% to the bill. Pizzeria Uno has always had good pizza so when I came back to New Jersey, I was glad that I had a chance to go back. We were seated right away at the bar area and our server came within minutes to take our drink order. The pizza that I ordered, the individual deep-dish pizza with mushroom, pepperoni, and sausage was delicious and my family, that I came with also enjoyed their meals. Went to Uno for the first time after seeing they were doing a watch party for the College Football Championship game. They had specials, like $3 Guinness, and all-you-can eat pizza or all you-can-eat boneless wings for $15. All the food was really good. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was. Hello everyone! I battled myself with this review...... I used to love this restaurant in the early 2000s.... They had a drink called the uno colada that was so delicious I had to order 3/4 of them! The rattle snake pasta was stinging me with every bite! .... But that was then and here's my review now........ I took my wife and 2 daughter here for Valentine's Day ( she's pregnant and just wanted to be in a relaxed atmosphere) it started with us waiting 30 minutes to be seated ( which it's Valentine's Day so it was ok) when we were seated we asked for a high chair and a booster seat. They told us the high chair wouldn't work because the high chair isn't high enough for the table........ we looked at each other confused why would you sit us here then???..???? But we didn't make it an issue we dealt with it. We placed our kids order and had 3 appetizers for us. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the alcoholic drinks, she had to keep going back and forth to verify if they had specific drinks. After our kids meals came out the waitress began rushing us to order, I asked for a diet soda but when it came out it tasted odd. She then tells me " no it's diet because I make sure it's the rite drink for the old people who come"?!!!?!!!! Wait what!!? Whoa!?! I made a joke out of it and brushed it off but her lack of interaction started to make me realize she really meant what she said...... after a while she came back and we ordered our meals my wife ordered a meal and wanted it well done because she's pregnant ( it came out medium rare) I ordered my food which was the rattle snake pasta and it was just the same old same old pasta.......... So after being rushed every 5 minutes we decided why not eat dessert......( this was a big mistake) I ordered the carrot cake it came out as a rather big piece and I was excited!!! But soon as I went to eat it I realized IT WAS FROZEN!!!!!! When I told the waitress she asked me if I wanted her to put it in the microwave!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked!!!!!!! I've never in my life heard of this!!!! I had to ask her to repeat herself and she laughed and said oh yeah we can put it in the microwave if you want" I told her that's not policy is it? She then said oh idk but we can do that" I told her you can't put food in the microwave that's frozen and then serve it to a guest where do they do that at????? Next we asked for the bill..... the bill was $235 I looked at the receipt and realized they're charging me a credit card processing fee..... in the business based on the BBB it is Illegal to charge for credit card processing!!!! ( always dispute this folks) she then told us oh if you pay with a bank card we won't charge you but if it's a credit card we do...... I explained to her that's illegal.. she went and took the fee off the bill while still charging us a automatic gratuity of $28.00...... why are we being charged this when it was only 4 of us.... Folks I realized that this is all a scam because once you pay it asked if you would like to leave a tip...... your automatic gratuity is your tip! People please pay attention I don't recommend this place at all! It's become a major disappointment read more

I went to the Chicago Uno Last night and was not impressed and wish the quality was there. The old Chicago UNO's used to serve freshly made food and now you can tell that everything is made frozen. I wouldn't goto this place and goto a regular pizzeria instead. Even though I sat in the seats they had a nice wrap around bar with karaoke where a 7 year old was singing Hakuna Matata which was funny. First time here in years with my family and we all ordered a personal pizza. I ordered the Spinach Goat Cheese Pizza winner of the month and added broccoli to it, SO DELICIOUS! My child enjoyed his pepperoni kids pizza as well. We also ordered the Thai chili boneless chicken bites and they were definitely spicier than expected but delicious as well. The bites came with a side of bleu cheese, celery and carrots which comes in handy for those who can't take the heat-it balances it out. Our server was great as well. They had hand sanitizer at every table and are enforcing the social distance protocols with dining in. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. First of all.... People don't understand the rules. I talk to people and they complain about the "wait". I tell them..... Reserve your time online!!! We get there at the reserved time and we've yet to wait. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!! So I was in the mood for some deep dish pizza. We headed over and was seated immediately. Started with the pizza skins and double order or boneless wings. Got half Buffalo and half honey BBQ. Both appetizers were excellent, but I only got 1 of the honey BBQ because the kids devoured it. Which is ok, because I like the pizza skins. Dinner came out while we were still working on the apps. That's my pet peeve and this otherwise would've been a solid 5 star experience. For dinner, I got the new Chicago pepperoni deep dish. My wife got the sausage, our youngest got chicken fingers and fries and both older boys got shrimp scampi. The pizza was very good. Sauce had a real good tang to it. Only thing I would've voted for was a tad more sauce. My wife's had a nice amount of sauce. Now I know this is a matter of taste. I like a little saucier pie.... some don't... there was a decent amount, so it wasn't a game changer. I'm going to end this with the service. PHENOMENAL!!! I am glad this place is near my home. 1) One of the few places in NJ you can experience the Chicago deep dish pizza. I got the meat lovers deep dish pizza. It was good. But, don't think I will crave it in a few years. The deep dish pizza is very heavy. 2) Next time I do come, I will try the Detroit style pizza. 3) I wanted to try the deep dish cookie, but it was 1600 calories. So, I declined.
