July 31, 2026: I previously left a one-star negative review due to a poor food and delivery experience, but I want to update it because the manager, Mr. John Calhoun, reached out and genuinely made things right. He followed up with me directly and sent $60 in vouchers for Uno's and their sister restaurants, explaining that he's been working with new cooks to fix the quality issues. I appreciate his effort, professionalism, and sincerity. The situation has been resolved, and I'll be giving Uno's another try. July 2, 2026 Hello, Please know that I am totally disappointed with this product. The pizza was on time but cold to touch. The pizza was inconsistently cut into 10 pieces. Some very large pieces, some standard size pieces, and some very small pieces. The entire pie was soggy. The cardboard plate that the pie rested on was soaked wet on both sides of the cardboard plate. Letting us know that the pizza had been sitting for quite some time and had not been freshly baked, as it should have been. We always order from Uno Pizzaria and Grill in Newtown Square. After paying $36.00 for the pizza, with online service fees, tax and delivery charges our bill totaled $56.45. for bad service, an inferior product, that was poorly executed. It will be a long time before we try this location again, if ever. Takaway - no value, lack of quality, poor service. After contacting Uno, they responded politely, and apologized for the inadequate service. They stated that a refund for the total amount paid, would be made, and it would take 3 to 7 business days for complete processing. Shortly after the call we received an email from DoorDash, who stated we would receive a "Credit" in the amount of $56.45, to be used on our next DoorDash delivery order. ADDEDUM: July 11, 2026, In short UNO Pizzeria and Grill did not issue a refund. Today when we attempted to use the $56.45 credit for an online purchase to be delivered by Door Dash, we were unable to do so. We called Door Dash for a confirmation of the credit and was told that their records do not show a delivery to us from UNO Pizzeria, nor does the records show that they committed to offering us a "Credit in the amount of $56.45. Despite the fact that we have 3 separate emails from Door Dash, to the contrary (one is attached). To say this was a bad experience, is an understatement. Would we recommend Uno Pizzeria & Grill? One thing people often don't know about is they will make you a FRESH pizza you can take home, UNBAKED, which you can cook at home. It is a lovely restaurant but sometimes you just don't have time to eat the pizza there: kids, weather, sickness, just too tired...and with a fresh pizza your pizza at home, on your own schedule. Had an awesome girls night out get together on, Wednesday, June 3rd at UNO Pizzeria in Newtown Sq, Pa. The food was delicious, but the real standout was the service. We met the manager, (John?) and waitress in training (Sophia?) and her coworker trainer. Had a couple glasses of wine so hope I got the names right. Our ski club celebrated our 80th year Thursday night at UNO's and it could not have been more perfect. The food was great! Another reason it was so successful was because Dan listened to all our needs. Had some family in from out of town, but nobody was up for cooking. My elderly dad really likes deep dish pizza, so we got take out from this location. I'm a chef and my sister is from Manhattan, so we weren't expecting much, but everything was really good! The salad had fresh greens and berries and the dressing was yummy. We got a bbq chicken pizza and the kids got the chick and sticks which is 2 chicken strips, 3 mozerella sticks, and steak fries. Pizza was good and the kids meal is pretty basic. Stand alone restaurant with lots of parking. This seems like a good place for groups. Kids eat free on Tuesdays. Decent options on the kids menu and it comes with a drink. Low expectations and great flavor from the mushrooms and onions probably helped. It came on a traditional roll that did hold up to a lot of liquid. It had a good amount of meat. Decent amount of well melted cheese. Everything on this cheesesteak spent a very good amount of time together on the grill blending flavors. It was well made and balanced. Very nice bartender. Since we both retired a number of years ago, I've been meeting my friend Jim (who also used to be my boss) at Uno in Newtown Square on a regular basis. Over a cold beer and warm lunch, we usually grouse about national and local news and engage in "friendly" debates about our favorite sports teams. Jim is a "transplant" from Chicago and a fiercely loyal (but sadly misguided) fan of the Cubs and the Bears! The Uno lunch special menu has always been good, for its reasonable pricing and the selection as well as the quality and quantity of the food. We also like the variety of craft beer choices on the frequently updated menu. While we miss the lunchtime self-serve, no-limit soup refill option that went away with the pandemic, we understand the reasons why it hasn't been restored. While we've always enjoyed our meals, another reason we keep coming back to Uno is the friendly staff and excellent service we've received, especially from our usual server, Brianna. While we often vary our menu selections, her memory of our favorite main choices and sides is even better than our own. For that, as well as her often witty comments and consistently exemplary service, Brianna deserves to be included among the reasons for our five-star rating of Uno. read more

I still wonder if Uno's prices are worth what they offer (the answer is definitely no in the desserts) but the portions they offer and the quality and consistency of the food is pretty great. A crazy good burger in a pizza place! What the hell! I've been coming here for a while now specifically for the great craft beer selection. It is awesome! It certainly helps that the bartenders are almost always beautiful. I have had their sliders several times. It's not often that you can get sliders cooked the way you want them. The patties are so small that they are usually just gray. Here I order them medium and they are actually medium and delicious. I think I've had three burgers here now. One of the things I hate is burger rolls that are too big. If I get a burger served on a giant Kaiser role I am seriously pissed. It's just too much bread! Here the burgers are served on a grilled artisan challah roll. Notice I said grilled. I love it when my roll is grilled! It's not too big and matches the burger beautifully. Speaking of burgers mine is always cooked just the way I like it. The toppings here are the basics except for the cheese. You can order Yancey's spicy Buffalo Cheddar which is amazing. For a chain, this place is pretty cozy inside. The pizza is okay, I got thin crust cheese and my cousins got kids make your own pizza kits. They seem to love uno. This was my first time and it was good but the pizza lacked a bit of flavor. I only eat cheese pizza and this one just wasn't salty enough or something. But I'd come back. I love thin crust. Update: I had previously given Uno's in Newtown Square five starts for dine-in. These days, it's all take out, of course. I've had a craving for deep dish Chicago style pizza, but being leery of ordering ANY take out, I held off, but finally got some on Friday night. I placed an on-line order at about 4:15 for a 6:00 pick up. I got there at about 5:55, figuring that maybe it would be ready a few minutes early. No such luck. Ten minutes passed, then twenty. Finally, at 6:20, I asked the guy who was bringing people their orders if he could check on mine. He politely said "sure, what's the name," then never returned. As 6:35, I called. I was sharply told that there was an hour wait for pizzas. I said that I had ordered on line for a 6:00 pick up, and that if I had known I would wait an hour past 6:00, I would have ordered for 5:00! They had 1:45 to make up my order. Finally, at 6:45, a young woman appeared with my order. I covered it with a blanket to keep it warm and drove the five minutes home. I got home to find that the pizzas were no more than sort of warm and that the cheese had congealed. They were not at all appetizing. I commented to the location via their FB page, and to the company via Twitter, and have received a response to neither. I like their pizza when dining in, and may go back again when they re-open, but I will NEVER AGAIN order take out from them. read more

Uno may be a chain restaurant located almost everywhere you go, this one located in Newtown Sq. is tops in my opinion. I do go to the one in Norristown also, seeing it is 30 seconds from my job when I need that after work drink or two. Out of the two I make frequent trips to, again this is number 1 in my opinion. They also have a 2 for $12 meal choice as well. I chose a Caesar Salad and some Cheeseburger Sliders for $7.99. The salad was obivously fresh as the lettuce was nice and crisp. The dressing was tasty as well. The 2 Cheeseburger sliders were cooked just I requested. My friend had a Chicken Caesar Salad and the Cheese Ravioli. She was happy and satisfied with her meal as well. All of the options on the menu looked great. The restaurant looked on the newer side and was kept reasonably clean. Last evening my Wife and ordered a new menu item, cheese steak. First of all a good cheese steak starts with the roll. UNO uses a local bakery, and the rolls were fresh. The second is the steak, the steak was cooked properly with grilled onions and the American cheese was proportional to the size of the sandwich. Visited Uno's Pizzeria today for some take-out. The interior is absolutely delightful. I've never been here before but I was really impressed with the bar. My fiancé and I almost wanted to pop in for a drink! However, our food was ready and we were hungry so we left. As for the food, everything was pretty good. The boneless wings were a little bit dry and could have used more sauce, but the chicken was fantastic. The hamburger was also great. My fiancé loved the deep dish pizza. However, my biggest compliant was the nachos. They covered the nachos in salsa. Which made them very soggy by the time we ate them. Frustrating and wished the salsa had been served on the side for a to go order. Overall, it wasn't terrible take-out. It did the job of curing our hunger. I frequent this UNO's often because it is close to my home. The General Manager (Dan) met me curbside to grab my online order from inside the restaurant. I immediately asked him about a $10 coupon I received during my last visit which I was unable to use online as the code was not valid. He assured me that although he couldn't take the $10 off my current order because I pre-paid online. He asked me to keep the card and use it for a future purchase but to call, ask for him and he'll remove the $10 off my order. The card was due to expire in two weeks but he said he would honor it just ask for him. I received a free pizza with the current promo and got two pizza's and some shrimp/crab dip all for $20. We have gotten dinner here a few times now and for a chain, I really like it. They have a lot of options on there menu and the prices are pretty reasonable. They have a decent amount of cocktails, and the ones I have had in the past here I remember being good. Weirdly enough, I am not a big fan of their pizza. It isn't bad at all, i'm just not really into the deep dish style. My favorite thing they have here is the fireball whiskey BBQ chicken melt. I usually end up getting this whenever we go, because I just like it so much and know it will be delicious. I have also had the buffalo chicken quesadilla and that is also great. The most recent time we came here, we got the cookie skillet sundae for dessert which was really good, although it didn't come with enough ice cream to go with the cookie. Service here has always been fine, no issues. If you sign up for their email list, they will send you coupons a lot. I have also seen promotions about them having half priced appetizers in the bar area at a certain time, although I have never been able to figure out when exactly this is. Pleasantly surprised. The parking lot appeared crowded, but we were seated immediately. The food arrived promptly and our waitress was very helpful and polite. They have a huge selection of beer. All our food was served hot, and was very fresh, unlike my experiences with other restaurants similar to this, i.e. Applebees, ruby Tuesday's etc. They have a large bar with 3 huge flat screens and 5 other normal sized tvs. There is a nice double sided fireplace where you may sit and eat your meal. Every time I've been here my experience was good. The staff was always ready to greet me at the door and get me and whoever I was with seated. Had a smile on their face and were willing to answer every question whether it was what are the soups of the day? Or can I have a side of barbecue sauce and ranch? They had good music playing and the crowd was a very comfortable mix of ages. On my previous visit I went to their bar and that was also a great experience friendly people and drinks whenever I needed a refill. Usually when I'm talking to people about places to eat around here I don't hear UNO's very often but it's definitely a hidden gem in the area they have a great selection from burgers to soup and salad lunch specials. read more

We haven't really gone out since Covid but the weather was so nice Friday we decided to take the kids for pizza and sit outside. Worst experience ever! All picnic tables lined up against parked cars with drunk staff hanging out doing shots and taking their shirts off and smoking and cursing. Gross but whatever. We ordered 2 cocktails but salt was placed on the wrong drink and sugar placed on one that was asked to be plain. Waiter went back to bar to bring a salted rim. He proceeded to grab my garnish with bare hands, palm of his hand and all and throw it inside my glass. He went to pour my drink over the mauled fruit but I stopped him. I asked him to just get me a plain glass and asked if this was common practice to handle people's food with bare hands, particularly during Covid times. He said they ALL DO IT EVERYDAY, behind the bar!!!!! Be warned if you choose this establishment that not only do they take very little precaution around Covid, they will literally maul your food and drinks with bare hands and think it's perfectly okay!!!! The server was actually annoyed at me and went and told his "pals" that were boozing it up at the other table. They were giving me dirty looks to the point that when one of the female servers left, she made a point to turn her nose up at me and make a very direct pointed gesture towards me from her vehicle. Nice experience for a first time out at a very classless establishment on the "main line." Loser staff who could have obviously handled this much better to earn a much better tip in such hard times. The manager was made aware and he did take some items off the bill but wasn't overly appalled either. PS: the pizza was raw and nearly soup along with the RAW cookie dessert!
