Love the space and ambiance! Service was a bit slow, but the vibe was amazing! I highly recommend for a party of 4 or less.

The Up Room at The Robey is a comfy spot for a drink and a view. We were staying at The Robey and went to the Up Room to check it out. There was an event underway outside on one side, which limited outdoor seating. Our hostess took our order and told us she'd let us know when a space opened up outside. That was very kind of her. I ordered a Grotto Smash - Reyka Vodka, Blackberry, Mint, Lime. Oh my, it was tasty! I had a few more! They made NA versions of the same drink for Mark. How cool is that? We spend a lot of time outside taking pictures. I think we may have been outside when the server let us know there was a space for us to sit outside. Fabulous! It was a nice evening.

This place was a perfect date spot to pop into after dinner and before a comedy show at the den. It is so dang cute and swanky feeling. The little private room outside is a fun touch for a group. LOVED my cocktail

My friend brought us here as we visited Chicago and it was wonderful! It had beautiful views all around and the drinks were delicious. I definitely recommend coming here, especially if you are visiting the city.

The UP Room is visually so stunning. Perfectly quiet, dimly lit, high up. Vibes are so great however their drinks were so bad. We had 2 matcha martinis and they were -1947393902/10 bad. Dirty martini was horrible also. Such a shame cuz the place is so pretty.

Robey Rooftop: We came here for a private event and it was wonderful! Views: The views are beautiful. It is cool to be able to look at the city in a different angle and appreciate the beauty of it. Drinks: The espresso martini and skinny margarita was delicious. The bartenders working the event were so patient and very professional (even when they could have easily been very overwhelmed). Food: Their focaccia like bread, veggie sandwich, and hummus were a personal favorite. I can't wait to come back and try out the cafe and other parts of the hotel!

New obsession, a must try if visiting Chicago or just need a place to hang with friends after a long day at work. It's welcoming, the drinks are fantastic. Staff are incredibly kind and the view is fabulous!

this place is perfecttt. the best place to savor the summer sunset with near panoramic views!! make sure to come cute or the servers might out-dress you lol. the drinks are creative and not outrageously priced considering it (averaging $17). honey heights was exceptional and sweet, as was secret garden. great date or girls night spot but also makes for a swanky group or corporate event space.

I would recommend this place solely on the view. This bar is such a cool spot to go to during the warmer months. The drinks were good and the service was nice. You are able to take the elevator directly to the top floor. The bar is not the biggest area, so I recommend coming early to get a seat outside to enjoy the view.

So funny story, every time I am in the Wicker Park area, I make an attempt to walk-in to this place but was always unfortunate, however, for the first time on a Friday night, we got lucky and I could finally visit this cocktail bar! (with a large party?!) Up room was the final stop on our food and drinks crawl experience and we loved it! They do not have a lot of tables inside however they have a pretty huge patio. We also found out an enclosed space where our party could relax and enjoy good conversations. The enclosed space was heated so we could enjoy it even on a cold wintery night. My friend and I tried Chai me to the Moon and Sky High cocktails and they were amazing! I'll definitely come back to try more cocktails. The view is beautiful and you can see the entire Chicago skyline on a clear night! Overall, a nice cocktail bar you should check out if you are in the neighborhood.

After several failed attempts to get a table at the Up Room in the past, we finally got a table. The space is relatively small in terms of seating, but the patio is huge. There is also an enclosed seating space which very few know about. We tried the chai me to the moon and the Sky High cocktails, both of which were great. The service was fast and the server was attentive. The view is just breathtaking and was definitely the main highlight! They have an unobstructed view of the whole downtown skyline and it is a treat to the eyes.

13th Floor! The Up Room located in the Robey Hotel in the Wicker Park area. A Very cozy intimate and beautiful rooftop. Views from the rooftop were breathtaking! The nightlife in Chicago is something different I tell ya! Stopped in for drinks after a great dinner, decided to try out a cute rooftop! Perfect for the winter moments as they have a cute warming shack. They also have a dope rooftop pool that sits on the other side of the bar which is great for summer months. They also have a cute cocktail menu with plenty of options. Our server was great, he served us with grace. Check em out!

Enjoyed after dinner drinks at Up Room recently. Up Room is a rooftop bar atop the Robey Hotel. It has a modern, sleek vibe and is surrounded by windows on 2 of its 3 sides. Service was very good. They allowed us to choose our table, and we chose indoors because it was so windy. I ordered a glass of wine (extensive wine list to choose from) and my daughter selected a cocktail that she enjoyed. The real draw is exploring the patio outside. It's 2 sides of a triangle with amazing views of downtown. Definitely a place for a photo op with your friends or family!

The Old Fashion wasn't anything special, just your typical old fashioned. On to axe throwing, the space where you axe throw was well lit, and we appreciated the guy who worked there, coming by to show us how to axe throw since it was our first time! There are chalkboards to keep track of your score. Just remember that the drinks can't be kept in the area where you axe throw, which I wish was better communicated to us. Overall, the Groupon was a great deal. We had some issues scheduling a time, so I had to email a contact there to have a time reserved. We were pretty surprised to see how few people were there on a Friday night, so it was pretty easy to play the different games scattered in the main room. There were also a few cute places for photo-ops.

We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

My sister missed a step on their staircase because the bar is very dimly lit. The manager witnessed this misstep and immediately asked her to leave, claiming she was "over served." She had yet to purchase a drink at this bar because she spent the first 30+ minutes waiting in line for the women's restroom. 2. The women's restroom line was extremely long, and several women were aggressively using the men's restroom instead. One of my guy friends was in a stall and had women banging on the door and yelling that he was taking too long. 3. I saw a woman walk in with a full backpack hidden under her coat. When security asked what was in it, she said "chips," and they allowed her in without inspecting the bag. That felt concerning from a safety standpoint. 4. The manager, Calvin, was very dismissive and cold when I tried to have a conversation with him about the events surrounding my sister's dismissal. He continued to insist she was over served and suggested she wait outside in the "nice weather." It was 30° and snowing. Figuring this conversation was going no where, I began chatting with one of the hostesses. I was asking for her recommendations where my group should go next in the area. During this convo I used an adjective that rhymes with duck and the manager, who was listening in, told me I had to leave because he claimed I was "swearing at his staff." No one was swearing at anybody? 5. Added this one last minute, after reading the owner's response to a previous review from another member of my group. I question the validity of his reply to save face. I personally went down to the women's restroom moments before I left, and waited in line with two female staff members who did not mention any closure. Additionally, we were told that The Pearl Club was closed to the public and reserved exclusively for our event. We were on one of the morning trolleys and there were two afternoon trolleys that were scheduled for 4pm and 6pm. Why would the bathrooms be closed to prepare for the public around 3/30pm when there was still multiple trolleys scheduled for the afternoon? It's unfortunate because the space itself is cute and intimate, and the hostesses and wait staff we interacted with were kind. However, the management response and overall experience make it unlikely I would return. I understand bars get busy during St. Patrick's Day weekend, but basic safety, communication, and professionalism should still apply.

The vibe is speakeasy-ish; the entrance is off the street in an alleyway but the interior is very nice, low light, and would be fun for a date night! The staff were attentive and very friendly. My friend got some shots, which were surprisingly good given they were kind of sweet, and I ordered the "mystic lamp" cocktail ($16) which was VERY memorable to me as someone that loves floral drinks -- it was very floral, slightly fruity, and had a lovely chunk of lychee it came with which was delicious! The drink was decent sized too; I've been charged a lot more for much less drink at other speakeasies (those of which I don't plan to visit again any time soon haha). In my opinion, this spot has the perfect combo of great drinks, nice ambiance, cool speakeasy-vibes, but also cheerfulness given the tiki-theme inside. I was excited for the experience having heard how busy it gets, blah blah. These positive reviewers need to seek out other tiki bars. After you negotiate the alley entrance and go down dangerously dark stairs, you are met with crazy boring decor. I kept thinking there had to be more right? The whole point of a tiki bar is to strike a mood, but hanging a very few polynesian masks on the wall, putting up a grass facade over the bar and dressing the servers in vaguely polynesian outfits is sad. I've seen private tiki bars at people's homes that are more exciting. Add to this a comparably boring music selection played far too loud over boomy lo-fi speakers and you'll wonder what's going on here. So what about the food and drink? Completely uninspired for anyone who's had more than a mai tai before in their life. About a dozen extremely common drink choices is all you get!! No specials, that's it. When I asked if this was the whole cocktail menu, the server said it was but they have a full bar so you can get anything you want. Well, I could get that service at just about any bar in the world, so big deal. Maybe it would be better if you sat at the bar and chatted up the bartender. One could also go taste their rum selections and other cocktails in the Bamboo Room, but I hate that kind of elitist nonsense. That's never been what tiki bars were about. The drinks we sampled were okay at best. Even the namesake 3 Dots and A Dash cocktail was lackluster and used cheap cherries for the dots instead of classic Luxardos. (If you know, you know) The appetizers were okay, but way overpriced. 5 tiny spring rolls for $18. Come on guys, enough already. I'd rather go to the bar at the Polynesian Hotel at Disney than return here. This place is a hard pass.

The Berkshire Room is one of my favorite speakeasies in Chicago. While they offer a fantastic…read morecocktail menu and a full bar, I almost always order The Dealer's Choice. You simply choose your preferred spirit, flavor profile, and glassware, then let the mixologist create something just for you. It's one of my favorite cocktail experiences in the city, and they've never steered me wrong. What I especially appreciate is how knowledgeable the bartenders are. They're always happy to offer recommendations if you're unsure what to order, but they're equally excited to create something completely unique if you're feeling adventurous. Watching them craft each drink is part of the experience. I've even hosted a birthday gathering here in their private side room, where we enjoyed charcuterie boards alongside our cocktails. If you're just stopping in for drinks, though, I'd recommend grabbing dinner beforehand, as the food offerings are fairly limited. More often than not though, you'll find me sitting right at the bar. I love watching the bartenders showcase their craft and chatting with them about the incredible selection of spirits they have on hand. It's a great spot for anyone who genuinely appreciates well-made cocktails and the artistry behind them. I'm also a member of their loyalty program, which is well worth joining. It can be used at The Berkshire Room as well as several other excellent restaurants, making it an easy way to earn rewards while exploring some great dining spots around the city. Whether you're a cocktail enthusiast or simply looking for a sophisticated place to unwind, The Berkshire Room consistently delivers. I'll definitely be back for another Dealer's Choice soon! #YelpEliteSquad

Tucked away in the Acme hotel, the vibe is loungey with plenty of different types of seating. We came around midnight on a Friday and it was packed but we managed to find a cozy corner. For drinks, I've always enjoyed their "Dealer's Choice", which is a fun novelty. However, on my latest visit I decided to try the Frijolito ($18), which was basically a spin on an espresso martini but with mezcal. Wow! Perfectly balanced, unique, and delicious. For food, they offer some "bites" but I've not tried them. Our server was fine, nothing special. I can't remember ever having bad service here.
