I brought my sprinter van to Upgrade Marine to finish out the build/most difficult part (the electrical) and Brian and his crew nailed it!!!!! They did an amazing job and I couldn't be more HAPPY. They know their stuff and they do excellent work. I am so glad that I found Upgrade Marine, I am ready to start my next build and I will be bringing that van to them too.

After listening to the issue via a phone conversation, Fred opened his books and created an appointment. I arrived on time to find Fred unencumbered by other matters-ready to look into the problem. Fred resolved the issue for a reasonable fee and I'm back to hearing some great music! Call ahead for an appointment.

This skill level is only attained slowly over decades, and I enjoyed getting to share a little time with him while he troubleshot my Denon DP-62L turntable. The challenge now is to find the part that was discontinued in the 1980s. But I am determined to find a solution, even if I have to learn how to rewind the transformer myself. I will return with the part to let you replace it as my soldering skills were really last used in 1996. I want this to be done correctly, and I trust will happen at Classic Audio Repair. Thank you for your help. Since he only found the problem, and getting the failed part will be a challenge, if even possible, he charged me only for troubleshooting time, but not even enough for that. His business ethics are very fair! It was an hour of my time well spent. And I do have hope for the ultimate repair of my 42 year old turntable.

Each time, they have delivered swift (as the name implies), high-quality, and honest service. As any repair shop is, prices aren't cheap, but I have found that you get what you pay for (and your devices can be something you shouldn't cheap out on.) Swift repairs deliver services with moderate pricing and great quality. I have also never had a problem with customer service. There is usually only one person working at a time, but that does not hinder me from a great experience. Yesterday, I went in to fix my phone that had water damage. I never asked him his name, but a young gentleman who had longer dark hair had helped me. He told me the pricing of a higher-quality screen versus an aftermarket screen, and what the w might be. As a consumer I greatly appreciate this honesty as I do not feel like I'm being charged and it further helps build my trust with swift repairs. He repaired my phone and literally less than two minutes, which to be fair. I'm sure my screen was an easy fix, but even when I have had more complicated damage, they have always made sure to prioritize and balance my order among plenty of others. All these factors kept in mind has left me overall many great experiences with this store. I highly recommend it for anyone that has any issues with electronics. Thank you!

Then, about a month after the warranty expired, the keyboard stopped working and the whole system would randomly hard crash several times a day. I took the laptop to a highly recommended shop for a diagnostic. They informed me that the keyboard interface card had failed and had damaged the motherboard in the process. They recommended buying a new motherboard, which would have cost about $2K. That wasn't an option. They also said a new keyboard card would cost $89. Since I did all of my software development work with an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard, I limped along for a few more months dealing with the random crashes.  When I finally had enough, in terms of both patience and funds, I ordered a refurbished keyboard card from Parts People for $20 and used Google to search for a shop that could possibly repair the motherboard. Google's AI bot ended up recommending Micro Soldering LAB in Escondido, CA.  After talking to the owner over the phone, I brought my laptop to the shop and left it. The next morning, the owner diagnosed two problems with the motherboard: First, one of the MOSFETs was damaged when the keyboard card failed. Second, unexpectedly, the liquid metal compound on the heat sinks for both the GPU and CPU was no good. He said he could have the MOSFET replaced and a better compound applied by the end of the day. True to his word, I got the laptop back fully repaired within a single day of dropping it off.  I can honestly say the laptop runs better now than when I bought it new. No more crashing during gaming or software development. I guess the GPU was overheating due to a poor initial installation of the thermal compound on the heat sinks. I am incredibly happy with the results and feel a whole lot better about the money I had spent on this laptop. I highly recommend Micro Soldering LAB for serious laptop computer repair.
