Better late than never but a must. I and a few other employees at our place of business paid for a special teeth whitening dental package of which I never got. I did make an appointment, but was told I needed dental work before I can redeem this special package I had paid for. I asked them if they took my insurance, they said yes but it wasn't true because I paid for services out of pocket. When I asked for copies of what I paid for, it was not given to me. Then covid happened and I never got my money back. Other employees who had paid for the package, asked for their money back because it felt like a scam. It was all about money, not honest at all. Never had a dentist spend so much time with my kiddos. Very patient, understanding, loving. A true gem amidst her field.. Norma was amazing at getting my kiddo in on an emergency and she's just ridiculously sweet. Maria is amazing too my kids did amazing with her doing their X-rays. They went out of their way to comfort my kiddos. My kids have never had a positive dental experience, we've kinda avoided the dentist all together the last few years. Today was a breakthrough. I dont know why this place has a high review when the lady is so bad there. The first day i called to ask for an appointment, the lady who is the boss that wears a suit and has a huge ego and power trip, she asks me very aggressively, Who, who referred you!? Who told you about us!? Where did you find us!? on the phone. This was me asking for an appointment. I said, what, do i have to get a referral to make an appointment? The lady said, N-no, Who referred you! I had to lie and say, oh my mom said good things about this place and i wanted to try it. Her tone changed immediately which was creepy. She was like, Awwwwwwww! Reeally? Her ego inflated like Biden handling the economy. Then i asked again. Appointment. She said i had to call her back in one hour to see if anyone cancels and have openings. I was like, what? why? Just check the computer and find whats open. I said, uh, ok. Then she says, oh how about now. I said no. She says, i can get you in tomorrow. We nearly argued over what time i wanted to come in. She refused me coming in 4 or 5, they close at 5:30. So i can tell she dont want to wait for no one. So what happened to me calling in an hour? She found something the next day. I wonder if it was because i stroked her ego by saying my mom said good things, which my mom said she did the same thing to her. Where did you find us! She did the same to my mom when she first found them out but she was in their office. The place is suppose to be a Christian Dentist but she is far from being a Christian. She sounds like a dictator over the phone. She sounds like a Sociopath Narcissist. She refused me requesting anything later than 3pm, and she refused anything that wasnt "tomorrow", basically controlling what i wanted to do instead of me making my own decision in when and what time. The next morning i was having Cardiac issues which i have Angina, and it keeps me from sleeping sometimes and i struggle. I didnt get to sleep until 1pm. I called as soon as they opened at 8:30am, this is the only time window i can give to call ahead of time, and i had a legit reason due to chest pains. I aint going in if my chest hurts and my arm is starting to cramp. She picks up and i told her i need to reschedule. The same lady, she gets me a lecture telling me i need to call ahead of time so she can have places open for people. I got mad and said i had chest pains and idk if i have to go to the ER, i have every damn reason to cancel, and i said i have every right to cancel and reschedule if i need to. She said, noted and i understand that is a concern, ill take note of that. She was about to say something, i cut her off, and i said, i thought this place was a Christian Dentistry? She says, it is. I said, well you dont sound like one, a true Christian doesnt talk to me like this. She didnt say anything, then she says, you can come any time, just call and ill put you back on the appointment. I said, i dont know yet, we'll see. Im not convinced about this place yet, and i hanged up. She didnt ask for my name, she didnt ask for my birthdate to cancel, she didnt try to re-schedule me. She only left it at, give us a call when you are ready to come back. How does she even know who i am for the first time if she were to try to remove the appointment? This was the first time, and this will be the last time. Ive been to other dentists and they never interrogate you in how you found them. Other Dentist companies have no problem changing your appointment, they dont even ask. This company here has a lady that has a power trip. Whoever signed her up should replace her because she is running the place into the ground. If there are compliments, it pats her on the back as if she did it all. She did nothing right. My mom said she made my moms blood pressure spike, and wanted her to do teeth x-rays again after they already did it. Where was the first!? They all freaked out how they tried to handle my moms situation and my mom said she was going through anxiety because of how messy they were handling the mistake and my moms blood pressure. My mom said when she got home she started to feel better. She had to leave that place. I dont know how everyone here is giving this a 5 star but you should share if the lady did the same to you when you first found the place. WHERE DID YOU FIND US!? WHO-WHO REFERRED YOU. She wasnt screaming but she sounded like you found their secret location as if you found Area 51. I will go to a different Dentist. Im a Christian and this place treats you like you are in trouble. I dont like that. I never met a clinic like this. First time ever. If you get the lady demanding you to know where you found them, just hang up or say forget it. It might require you to stroke her ego in order to get taken care of because she from asking you to wait an hour to i got something tomorrow. That means, if you do good for me, ill do good for you. Didn't do proper research, so I ended up at this hyper religious dentistry. Upon entry, I was asked to go to the bathroom and wash my hands before I could fill out my forms. Thought it was a bit weird, but I let it go. The assistant was kind of rough/rude when she was taking pictures of my teeth. When asked about what medications I was taking, the assistant asked "why don't you just exercise and go on a diet?" I tried not to take it too personal, and moved past it. The dentist then asked why I felt the need to use recreational cannabis, and went on a religious lecture that lasted like 10 mins. Overall, I think this place is unprofessional and highly judgmental. TLDR: Quick scheduling for appointment, very friendly staff and doctor, and pain-free procedures. Great! Received a mailer for a free whitening with an exam and cleaning and decided that it was time for a check-up. Called near the end of day and spoke to Norma about setting up an appointment. She was able to get both my husband and me in the next day at 10am. The office is in a nondescript medical building on the second floor, and it's warm and cozy inside (free coffee, which I sadly did not partake in). Norma was present and as wonderful in person as she was on the phone, as were all the staff. Tony took the X-rays (and, since I'm pregnant, checked with my ob for a confirmation) using lots of lots of protection to keep the babies safe. Met the doctor herself, who was GREAT. And the exam itself was easy - filled a couple small cavities, got to see my own pictures and X-rays and have them explained, and most importantly, no pain! It took a couple hours to get through both of us, but we chose to get everything done at once. Overall, really great experience. read more

Dr. Perez is absolutely one of the best dentists I've been to. Unfortunately her office manager is terrible with customer service and pressuring to have dental work done. Norma will act nice and "Godly" to your face but when she is alone and when Dr. Perez is not watching her she's unprofessional, rude and aggressive. She won't allow me to speak to anyone else when I call the office even though I clearly explained to her I'm not comfortable dealing with her. Norma literally laughs at me on the phone in a sarcastic tone whenever I have tried (3 times in the past) make payment arrangements and future appointments. Norma always claims she's the only admin in the office and that she'll get back to me but never does. She knows that all my teeth problems are physically painful but as a sales tactic condescendingly, asks, "oh how is your mouth feeling ?" - Well Norma obviously not good!! It's too bad that Dr. Perez is unaware of this dark overshadowing woman in disguise because I KNOW Dr. Perez is genuine and has a huge heart but this woman Norma will for whatever reason ruin this business. I found Upland Lighthouse Dentistry because my original dentist was always closed when I needed them. They let me in immediately and began x-rays and found problems my original dentist missed. They fixed everything and even took out my wisdom teeth on the spot which is something I've been wanting done for a while but never did because my other dentist wanted to charge me thousands of dollars. I am reviewing this business based on sales of teeth whitening services along with Rapid Resultz market, David Gonzales. The 2 businesses sell services and when you attempt to cash in your whitening kit you are asked for your insurance information. I was not in need if any other dental services since i have my own dentist and visit regularly. I could not receive the kits i purchased without giving them that information. Norma suggested i go in an meet their staff and learn more about them, however, that still did not solve the issue that THEY ARE DOUBLE DIPPING into insurance money.
