This place is the best! I've been lifting my lashes for the past few years and decided to try a new place as my old place raised their pricing so much that I couldn't stomach it any longer. Glad I read through all of these reviews and settled on Mariam; so happy I did. Her place is inside of a cute little salon, her space was impeccably clean and the treatment table was comfy. At the beginning of my treatment I was very clear about how I wanted my lashes to look and boy did she come through. I was in awe of how lifted my poker straight lashes were afterwards that I kept looking in my car mirror. I just couldn't believe the miracle she achieved. I followed her instructions of no water near my eyes for 24 hours and no oily make up removers will help it last longer. I'll follow up this review in two weeks and post on the longevity. There is easy parking in front or any of the side streets. Her pricing is very reasonable for the quality of her work. Maybe I should delete this post and keep her to myself? read more

Great experience. I booked my appointment super late on a Friday night to go in the next day. I received a text confirmation in the morning with parking instructions. I ended up running late due to a family emergency but Mariam was super gracious and patient with me. Super clean and comfortable establishment which is important for me. One of the worst parts about moving to a different city is having to find your new "person" for things like eyebrow waxing/threading. It's like, I'm just supposed to trust some complete stranger with my FACE? Mostly due to location or I didn't like the way the perm came out Anyways, I tried Mariam for a lash lift and have returned a second time and plan to use her as my regular lash perm girl! I'm so glad I found Mariam! I just had my first ever lash lift done and I'm so happy I went with her. The process was very easy and she answered all of my (many) questions with clear advice and instructions. The work itself is AMAZING. My natural lashes aren't too long or too short, but they stick straight out with no curl, so her lash lift artistry worked total magic and made a subtle yet very noticeable difference to my lashes, eyes, and face. When did lash lifting start?! WHEN DID THIS AMAZING THING HAPPEN? So I'm Asian, and the curse of Asian lashes is real with me. They aren't invisible by any means, but they're on the shorter end. Another fact about me is I'm not huge into makeup. Wearing makeup even once a week is a big ordeal for me, but I always thought having my eyelashes curled, sans mascara, would be nice. I used to even buy clear mascara/brow gel to for that reason. So when I came across Uplift, I was so. freaking. excited. I messaged Uplift through Yelp and Miriam responded right away with availability. She also told me what prep I needed to do (clean face) and sent a reminder day of. And when I met her...she is just the sweetest thing. I was very upfront about how I've never done this before, and she walked me through everything she was going to do (then again as she was doing it). She told me that a good percentage of her clients were Asian and knew how to manage my expectations regarding my short Asian lashes (compared to some of these lucky gals on the pictures who have just absolutely stunning lashes). The whole session lasted about 50 minutes and it really did feel shorter than that since she was so personable. She gave me "orders" of what to do and to avoid for 24 hours and the long run (6-8 weeks). At the end of my sessions, my lashes came out beeeautiful. Even on day 9 (today), they still look amazing. After the first 24 hours, I basically returned to my normal routine (including skincare), and have even worn mascara and removed them, and it still looks as good as day 1. I live across the country and have since found another place near me that does lash lifting. And I'm SO GLAD Miriam was my first lash lifting tech so I know how the process should go and what the results should be! read more

My skin has never been this healthy, even, and glowing (I used to have breakouts and acne, though there is no trace of that today). This was my first time getting a lash lift and I was a little nervous about it. Mariam (the specialist) was very nice and thorough about explaining the process to me. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time because the process is about 30-45 min long. As soon as she was finished I was able to see the results immediately. My lashes were lifted and curled for the next 4-8weeks! I loved the way they came out. I wouldn't use mascara because the lift gave me such a boost to my lashes. Mariam also did my eyebrows. I am very picky about my brow shape as it took me a while to regrow them after a bad thread. I had asked her to just clean up and shorten it and that exactly what she did! Mariam changed my whole view on lashes. I came in a mess. I hadn't gone without fake lashes in 3 months straight and the worst part, was that I was trying to leave on the lashes for as long as possible causing extreme damage, loss, and crusting. Awful. Lash lift X Eyebrow Clean Up Miriam was so kind & knowledgeable on the lash lift process and thoroughly explained what was going to happen, and why. (Especially since it was my first time getting a lash lift, she really walked me through the whole thing) She was playing soothing music the whole time and threaded my eyebrows during the process to save some time. The eyebrow shape was beautiful and I am fully satisfied with how it all turned out. $80 is a fairly inexpensive price considering the length of the procedure, the insane difference between before and after, and how long the lift lasts. Last time I went, I was happy with how my eyebrows came out. The first time I went, I was so happy with the results that I received so many compliments, then I went back and they came out so bad. I wish I took a picture of them. Mariam is a sweetheart don't get me wrong, but I went for a brow lamination and she told me how my brows did not grow much, but she proceeded to cut them :( I wanted to cry when I saw that my eyebrows were messed up cause they take a while to grow. Anyways, I won't be back, but if you have really full eyebrows... I think you will be fine here :( I'm giving this place 4 stars cause Miriam is so nice, but I was just not happy with my eyebrows, I paid $100 and sadly, I cried about how my brows looked. (Yes!
