The care was excellent from the ER to CT, from OR to the floor, from food service to custodial...we can't speak highly enough. My wife had an extensive and serious stay several years ago, and HSMC saved her life on multiple occasions. We will forever be indebted to them. No place is ever going to be perfect, but they did a pretty good job in our opinions.

I was okay, there were alot people waited ,some had to leave due no doctor. I waited for ten hours from Sunday 8:25 pm to 6 am. No doctor excepted got called for 2nd blookwork to doublecheck. Oh my god, do not go to this place again! Lucky I was able to see my regular doctor same day and got the treatment. What kind healthcare is this? Even I am Deaf and did ask for ASL interpreger, they did have VRI but I would not go back there again! I saw few moms had kids got in right away while we waited so long!. Do not go back again!

Lucky, everything went smoothly and with the support of staff we felt informed and every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better support system or birth story. We feel so lucky and fortunate! I will say the only thing that wasn't great was the meals, but hey it is a hospital after all.

The staff are friendly, nurses are nice and the doctor and PA are absolutely great and very thorough. The Geisinger and Holy Spirit merger have elevated health care in this system to a new level. The combined resources make for an excellent and efficient system for care, testing, and referrals. I highly recommend this doctors office for a primary care physician.

These…read moretests were suggested by my Cardiologist since I was experiencing some shortness of breath when walking in my neighborhood for exercise recently. I hadn't had any tests done on my heart recently and it seemed like a good idea since I had 3 stents placed in my heart back in 2007. After an Echo cardiogram and the nuclear stress showed some problems, the next step was an appointment for a Heart Catheterization at Ortenzio. It was after this test that Dr. Connelly told me that I would need Heart bypass surgery since that was the best way to remedy the new blockages. Surgery was scheduled for February 18,2025. Every one at Ortenzio was great! Some names I have managed to remember...Dr. Connelly, Erin, Naomi Katey, Eric....and all the rest who took care of me whose names I can't remember a great big THANK YOU! Scheduling prescribed tests or imaging often requires extended hold times of 40 minutes or more, only to learn that appointments are unavailable or delayed for several additional weeks. Specialist appointments are frequently booked out two to four months in advance. The recent transition to a new records system has further complicated patient care. Important medical history and physician notes are often inaccessible, limiting continuity of care and leaving both patients and providers frustrated. This decline in operational performance has real consequences for patients' health and well-being. UPMC urgently needs to address these systemic issues to restore the level of care and efficiency that patients once trusted.
