Peanut Farm is a sports grill that has been around for some time. The building has been through a few renovations with some additions to look like what it is today. It resembles a large log cabin. Peanut Farm is spacious and has several TV screens for sports viewing. There are also some pools tables near the bar. We grabbed a table that had a nice view of Campbell Creek through the window. Peanut Farm has a full menu that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a page showcasing their appetizers and pizza selections. I got the Farm's Grilled Chicken with a cup of New England Clam Chowder. I was able to choose a couple of sides and had to try the corn fritters. I highly recommend them. We had a nice time here and it was a great way to wrap up my first trip to Alaska.

I have visited twice in the last month, and both were some of the worst bar experiences I have ever had (and I've had some baaaad experiences in my life!). I'm not sure what happened to the staff that worked hard to make the Blue Fox a welcome, classic dive with chill and solid vibes, but whatever the mess is that's in place now is....something else. None of the serving staff seemed to know how to do...well...anything. On one visit, I ordered draft beer - pretty basic. After first returning to ask me for a reminder on what drink I ordered, they still brought me the wrong pour, and after what seemed like an excessive amount of time. I was going to order food, but someone at the table next to me leaned over (unsolicited) and told me I'd be better off skipping it. His actual words were "Don't. Save yourself". Yikes. On my other visit, I ordered an old fashioned. Whatever it was that they brought me, it wasn't anything even close, and it was undrinkable. I sent it back, and never saw a server again. On both visits, noone seemed to know how to use the computer system to get me a bill. I will also note that it was very empty there on both occasions. There is nothing I can think of or that I saw to justify or speak to the combination of slow service and level of bumbling chaos that happened. The place was dead. Not sure where the great entertainment guy went - he wasn't there on either visit, and it looked like no fun was being had by anyone. Something changed, folks. I don't know what, but hear me when I say that VIBES ARE OFF big time. In the words of the fella at the table next to me that night: Don't. Save yourself.

They changed the trivia company and all new staff. We were told 2 hour wait for food. The place was half empty. What takes so long to fry something or cook a burger? The sandwich was very dry. The trivia format sucks and the emcee was unfunny. Our group of 7 that went every other week will be a group of 0 moving forward. Bummer because it was a perfect place for a casual night of fun trivia. Now we would rather go home and do nothing if we can't find a new place we like.

We also had the meatloaf sandwich which is still really good. We ended up splitting this as a meal and it was plenty for two people. We subbed the fries for onion rings which I didn't care for. The onion rings have a fish taste to them, so I assume they're in the same fryer as the fish and chips. My only complaint is when you get the tablet to pay, the minimum tip is defaulted to 20% and the other options are 25% and 28%. I do believe the tipping culture is a little out of control.

Our table had the following: 6 oysters Rockefeller, 1 fried calamari, a half size blackened halibut Cesar salad, a grilled ribeye steak and an Alaskan halibut fish and chips. Food notes: the oysters were super fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked so that they were only broiled on top and still almost rare below. However the toppings could've been improved with better bacon, and maybe a touch more spinach. Even a small dollop of Béarnaise sauce would've been better than the Parmesan. Nevertheless this was probably my favorite bite of the night. The halibut on the fish & chips was also fresh flaky and really tender. The chips were like thin steak fries that had been battered but were still under seasoned. They weren't great, and no one ate them even our toddler who loves fries. The blackened halibut on the salad was tougher, and dry. There were too many store-bought croutons and the salad dressing was possibly store-bought too and bland for a Cesar. The ribeye was totally sad. It was quite thin and unimpressive especially for the cost. It came with more of those dismal fries and some plain broccolini. Our steak-loving dinner companion only ate about half and didn't care to doggy-bag the rest so it went to waste. Calamari was average, and came with two oily amateur-chef looking sauces, one mayo flavored and one somewhat spicer was basically the same as the first. Our excellent waiter mixed up a cocktail sauce himself that blew the other sauces out of the water. Bravo to him. He was the best while waiting on us also, quick to refill a water or retrieve more drinks from the bar. Good thing the Rockefeller was great, I'd be back for that alone ($6/per oyster) but otherwise I don't think I'd rush back to Fletcher's. Many other eateries in the area that are tastier, with equally difficult parking.

When the restaurant first opens, there is only one single server tasked with handling every single order, delivering food, and busing tables for dozens of patrons. To expect one person to carry the weight of an entire airport morning rush is entirely unacceptable. SHAME ON MANAGEMENT for allowing this operational failure. In a high-volume airport environment, management should be active, visible, and on duty during opening hours--not off duty or being visible. Furthermore, on top of juggling orders, delivery, and busing, this lone server is forced to police the bar area because it doesn't open until 8:00 AM. Travelers naturally sit down at the empty stools, forcing the busy server to repeatedly stop what they are doing to turn people away. This is a fixable logistics issue. Management should have signs clearly posted and the bar stools physically marked off or blocked until 8:00 AM so the staff doesn't have to bear that extra burden. A note to Fellow Travelers. If you are coming in early, please be incredibly patient with the staff. They are working their absolute hardest under unfair conditions. To the management team: Fix your scheduling, get on the floor to support your people, and put up proper signage. Your staff deserves better, and so do your paying customers.
