I'm so glad to see that 49th State Brewing opened an airport location. I had a chance to stop by before my flight and was not disappointed. I got my all-time favorite pretzel and my favorite "Smok" beer to-go, which was such a nice treat before traveling. The service was a bit slow when I was there, but to be fair, compared to many other airport restaurants, it really wasn't too bad. Overall, it was a great airport stop, and I'm happy to see one of my favorite local breweries available there.

It's at an airport, so my expectations were extremely modest. I ordered the Smōk'd pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun and a beer flight (four 4-ounce glasses). The sandwich was quite good, no skimping on the pork. The portions were not huge, but then i didn't want leftovers to take on my flight. The beer flight was truly sublime! I enjoy a good IPA, but mixed it up with other varieties. All four were excellent, but the Most Coast pilsner and Raspberry Blonde were remarkable. Service was decent, reasonably attentive for a busy and crowded airport location, and the upscale Alaskan brew pub ambiance almost allowed me to forget I was marking time until boarding my flight. Prices were not unreasonable, comparable to outside restaurants. The only drawback was that several of the beers listed on the menu were sold out, but there were many left to choose from. 49th State Brewing will absolutely be on my must-visit list should I ever return to Alaska.

    The crispiest!

I love this Alaskan chain. They always have good vibes and great food. They let us chill here for a few hours before our flight. The chicken tenders ($13.99) were literally some of the crispiest tenders I've ever had. Lots of seating and clean too. Quick, attentive, and efficient service.

This was a fine little airport restaurant/bar; I had a bit of time to clean, so decided to get a bite to eat and some local cider. I truly just got the pretzel and cheese and it was fine...I was hoping for more of a traditional beer cheese, since this is a brewery, but it was fine and hit the spot. Service was attentive, which I always appreciate in an airport setting - let people enjoy their meal and catch that flight!

Listen, if you're anywhere near 49th Brewing Company and you don't stop in, you're basically committing a personal crime against your own taste buds. First off, Felicia deserves a medal, a trophy, and maybe her own holiday. I don't know what kind of customer service vitamins she takes, but she was out here delivering five-star energy like she's on a mission from the hospitality gods. Now let's talk food, because I was not ready. The Elk Burger? Off. The. Hook. I'm talking "call your mom and apologize for every bad burger you've ever eaten" levels of good. The wings? On point like they went to college, graduated early, and got a job before their friends. Perfectly cooked, sauced just right, and absolutely capable of converting wing-skeptics into believers. And if you're grabbing a beer don't play games get the Frequent Fire. That thing goes down smoother than a toddler sliding down a staircase of butter. It's flavorful, it's bold, and after two sips you'll be questioning why every other beer in your life has disappointed you. On top of all that, it's Thanksgiving, everything in town is closed, and these legends are staying open later. That alone makes them heroes. The place is clean, the vibe is inviting, the service is top-tier, and honestly... it felt like a blessing from the universe. If you need good food, good beer, and a good laugh in a place that treats you right, 49th Brewing Company is the move.

Food was good especially for what is to be expected at an airport restaurant. Everything came pretty quickly.

Solid option for a quick meal before catching a flight! Came by for dinner and ate at the bar to watch Monday night football. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Ordered the halibut and chips and it was delicious. The location in town (by the Hilton) is better but for airport food this is an excellent option!

Hello Travelers, If you happen to be flying out of Anchorage airport, this restaurant is a good option to get a drink and some food. The food quality is okay nothing to be impressed by. Prices are a bit high compared to the quality. Service fine not very friendly on that particular time. Everyone can have a bad day. Family friendly ambiance. Check it out and safe travels.

What more can you say. Digesting an epic Alaskan trip while sitting in the Ted Stevens International Airport drinking some 49th state beers. Service and ambience is fantastic in this bustling environment. Alaska is the final frontier.

    Korean chicken sandwich

We sat down and waited about 10min until a waitress came by. Its pretty slow, we got in around 715pm or so from Kodiak. The table tops are very high from sitting. I had to raise my arms up to eat my chicken sandwich. My husband id 6'1" and he even says its freakishly high. Weird design choice. The korean chicken sandwich was underwhelming. The chicken patty seemed very freezer burnt and the crispness is gone. The sauce didnt seem korean at all. The fries were good up until I started chewing on dirt fries. At first I thought it was from the fry sauce but it wasn't. The fry I ate literally tasted like dirt. After a couple more fries that didnt taste like dirt, I came across another one, spit it out and had to stop eating altogether. The 49th state burger was good. Overcooked but the patty was beefy. The horseradish pickles were thick and juicy. Good flavor. Didn't get to try beer this time around.

This place serves bar food and beer. They also have a gift shop. They serve reindeer hotdogs, elk smash burgers, halibut fish and chips. Service is quick, nice ambience . Save your time and forgo the Norton Seafood restaurant in the terminal and come here instead.

I stopped at 49th State Brewing - Airport at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport for a quick bite before my flight. Service was great -- my server, Mina, was friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated, especially in a busy airport setting. I ordered the Frequent Flyer BLT ($16.99) and a Diet Coke ($4.29). The sandwich itself was decent but a bit disappointing -- it really lacked enough bacon to live up to the BLT name. The flavors were fine, but for nearly $17, I expected a little more substance. Prices are definitely on the higher side, though that's typical for airport dining. After a 4% service charge and a tip, my total came to about $26. Overall, good service and a nice atmosphere, but the food didn't quite deliver for the price.

    Alaska 8 star lager.

Midnight Sun Brewing is one of the Alaskan ones I tried a while back and I felt that the beer I had was very solid and enjoyable. In fact Alaska in general thus far I have enjoyed the breweries there considerably. The beer I had from this brewery was the Panty Peeler which is a Belgian Tripel. A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. The beer goes down smooth and is light bodied. A good beer to start for me with this brewery. I'd loved to try more of their beer options. Love the brewery's swag and have a t-shirt or two and would love to score a hoodie that I had my eye on but it was out of stock so I'll try back later.

We started eating within 2-3 minutes of walking out the door, but it was practically inedible. The fish and fries were incredibly laden with oil; just heavy, greasy, and completely unseasoned. Ratio of breading to fish was 50/50, so you get a little gipped on the actual fish. Everything desperately needed salt at minimum. To make matters worse, they send it with their berry tartar sauce, which is an absolute crime in all 50 states. We specifically requested regular tartar sauce and were given plain mayonnaise instead. None of our other requested condiments, like ketchup, were supplied either. Service for the limited time I interacted with her, was average. She was easy going, but not particularly warm or engaging. While the portions were fine, $35 for a meal that we tossed out after 2-3 bites is incredibly frustrating. I hate wasting money and fresh seafood, but it was just that bad.

It took a little bit for her to engage and warm up with us, but once she did, she was attentive, friendly, and made the experience feel much more welcoming. Food-wise, we were impressed. Two of us ordered the burger and it was honestly excellent--made with a blend of ribeye and tenderloin, and you could taste the difference. Really well constructed and flavorful. I went with the mushroom soup and a Caesar salad, and both were solid choices; fresh, satisfying, and better than your average "safe" menu items. The cocktail selection was also strong, but the smoked old fashioned was way too sweet. It needed to be toned down on the sugar to let the bourbon and smoke shine through. Overall: great food, great drinks selection, and a good bar atmosphere.. just be prepared for a slower start on service during peak nights.
