Love the atmosphere! Intrigued by the wildlife. Just what I should see in Alaska. I was not a fan of the waiter. He was hard to understand and lacked personality. Doggone I didn't get his name. I had the Italian Baked Sub. Fabulous! I loved that it was pizza crust and not traditional bread. If I lived here this would be a regular place for me

We were excited to give this restaurant a try even though it had mix reviews. We ordered salmon and steak. Boy was it awful. The salmon was chewy and so was the steak. I couldn't even eat it. The baked potato was over done and the butter had red onions in it, it was awful all around. I was hungry and again, i just couldn't even eat it. After we were done, we literally walked over to Starbucks to get something else to get that taste out of our mouths. Sadly it was very disappointing . The service was okay. The guy was nice it's just the food was not good. Bummer, the name, menu and the deco were nice.

It's very difficult to address the restaurant. I believe the beautiful restaurant caters to a lot of tourists and the servers could be more genuine with their customers. From the servers to the expediters did not show sincerity or interaction with the patrons. I requested a full slab of rubs half dry and half wet. I was informed this isn't possible as only offered as an add on to a meal. The problem is simple, it could be resolved with 1/2 and 1/2 since there are people who order 1/2 a portion as an add on and leaves 1/2. The food was well prepared but the onion rings had too much batter (fried/oily) and took away the taste from the actual onion rings. The wet ribs were very good . The fish and chips (halibut) was good and the chicken pasta was satisfying. Strive to please the customer not only as a local but as a tourist. This starts with management to instill the change in hospitality to make the difference. I asked the manager about the 1/2 and 1/2 ribs and was stomped and was going to ask the chef. Always strive for perfection as your customer could be someone who makes or breaks the restaurant.

We haven't been here in a while and decided to give this place a go. The pretzel and cheese as an appetizer was SO good! I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use but it was delicious! We also had the meatloaf sandwich which is still really good. We ended up splitting this as a meal and it was plenty for two people. We subbed the fries for onion rings which I didn't care for. The onion rings have a fish taste to them, so I assume they're in the same fryer as the fish and chips. My only complaint is when you get the tablet to pay, the minimum tip is defaulted to 20% and the other options are 25% and 28%. I do believe the tipping culture is a little out of control.

They definitely nailed the rustic Alaskan lodge theme with the decor. Plenty of animal heads and skins adorn the walls. The service is fast and friendly. Our meals were standard and the drinks were good. It's a good spot to grab some decent pub fare.

The atmosphere was awesome and the decor was great. I had the blueberry ale and it was really good. The food was okay but lacking a little bit in flavor. But it did come out super quickly.

Excellent place to go! Beer was great and the blackened salmon sandwich was the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommend.

I got when I ordered my steak medium. It was 32$ plus an extra 20% min Tip. The manager didn't even comp the meal.

I ordered this steak medium for my wife and she's it's not even rare this is "blue" the manager should have never charged me for this. I had to buy a desert to Make it up to my wife and the manger made me pay for the desert too. I did get a discount on the steak half off. All I'm saying is they don't know how to make steak and I should either get the steak off my bill or the desert free. This steak is "blue" not even rare or med rare aka almost raw still mooing!

We've eaten here enough times that I understand why their star reviews range from 1 to 5. They really are all over the map. Because it's literally around the corner from where I work and it's been a rough week and their drinks are ALWAYS amazing, we decided to take our chances. I'm so glad we did. It was a 5 star experience this time. The ambiance is the Alaskan vibe locals and tourists love. All the animals and Alaskan stuff that is warm and inviting. The restaurant was packed and we were seated and waited on right away. Our waitress, Cher, was the highlight. She's one of those people I will make a point of asking for in the future because she was so awesome. I got the Paloma and the bartender used a heavy hand. Wowser. It was next level. Our maple Brussel sprout app was AMAZING. My husband couldn't finish his humongous Carnivore burger. Nor could I finish my perfect chicken and Waffles. The hand dipped chicken was fried to perfection. We'll be and be sure to ask for Cher who works at the end of the week.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, over 31 tap beers to try. I had the Alaskan salmon with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Not bad an all!

We are staying at the Hilton across the parking lot and coworkers had recommend to check this spot. We were starving and came over after checking into the hotel. We came in through the pickup door without realizing it. The staff in general were super friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was very patient and gave us suggestions with the menu. The reindeer sausage jalapeño poppers were AMAZING! All of the food was great! I liked the ribs better with the rub since the bbq sauce was ok. It had like a mustard flavour to it. The pizza was very tasty and the salmon had good flavour. The only thing about the salmon is that it was a bit too cooked for me. I typically like it a bit medium rare in the middle and not well done. The ambiance is unique with a cabin outdoors feel to it. They have plenty of beers on tap. We will probably be back before we leave.

We really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. The service was very friendly. I enjoyed my salmon dinner. My mom needed to eat something bland and the kitchen was able to make substitutions to the dish so she could enjoy it. My brother enjoyed his burger.

Hey there friends! We had an amazing dinner at the Glacier Brew house. Before I start, I will say…read morethat it didn't start off on the right foot due to some issues with the people at the front reception. Besides this, everything else was great so I did not deduct any stars. Let me explain. We were a party of 4 and just arriving from NY, we were hungry. We walked in at about 4:30-4:45. We asked for a table for 4. We were told the wait will be over an hour. They asked if we would like to sit at the bar area, same food and probably would get service quicker. I said sure. We both want to look for a table and there were none, so I just told the staff that we will go to the bar area and wait while having a drink. We were given a buzzer. We came across a Maria bar table with a nice couple sitting there, and 2 open seats. I asked if we could sit there and they said of course. They then Deb moved over 2 seats arguing gave us 4 seats. I was do thankful for them being so nice that I picked up their bar tab. I noticed that the dining area has at least 5 open tables for 4 and 1 for 6+. I went up to the desk and told them this. I was told they were fit reservations and I couldn't have a table. Long story short, 45 min went guy and there were still open tables, I E's not happy and let them know. By this time though, our waiter Marco cans over to us and said he would take care of us, which he did. I told the front desk to forget our table and have them the buzzer back. ** My review starts*** Marco was a great waiter taking excellent care of us. We had a great time with Marco and our new friends next to us. I ordered the halibut stuffed with crab which was outstanding. My wife ordered the salmon which was delicious as well, I particularly enjoyed the crispy skin of the salmon, yum!!! Our friends ordered the fried calamari which he enjoyed and his wife had the salmon over a Ceaser salad. To finish it off, I had to get the lava cake for dessert.....hey, why not, I'm in vacation lol! Everything was great, the food delicious, Super Marco s the best!!! Great service and a great time. Just a shame it didn't start off on the right foot. Lesson: make a reservation!!!!!

These are the real slow cooked grits not the out of a box quickie grits. Shrimp, slivers of andouille, and an egg (it says with bacon but I did not notice any). Marvelous flavors. Will do again. Carolyn had the brick oven tomato and mozzarella cheese pizza and love it. The bar had a little trouble with my drink, a Rusty Nail, but in they got it right Food is good and well prepared. Service can be a bit slow but then it was very busy. Lots of staff just busy. Great rustic interior with wood beams and open floor plan. Booths on the left for the restaurant (Reservations highly suggested). Bar and seating on the right with tables and some small booths. One TV (thank you), it was turned to a poker competition.

1 star (0 if possible)…read more My family is from Alaska, and this was our first time trying this restaurant while celebrating my brother's college graduation. Unfortunately, the experience was so rude and disorganized that we ended up leaving before ever getting to eat. When we arrived, we were greeted by a man in a black shirt who was immediately rude and kept interrupting my mom while she was trying to ask about a table for five. We were told there would be a wait, which was fine, but from that point on the service only got worse. We sat waiting for about 20 to 30 minutes and were never given menus or any updates, while other parties around us who were also waiting were being helped, given drinks, given menus, and kept informed about their table times. While we were waiting, we overheard what I assume was a manager, a man in a maroon shirt with tattoos, updating another party about their reservation. He told them that their reservation had been messed up: instead of having one table for six as requested, the restaurant had them down for a table for four and a separate table for two. If they wanted to actually be seated together at a table for six, they would have to wait another hour, plus an additional 40 minutes for food. Hearing that made it pretty clear that the lack of organization and communication wasn't just happening to us. After we had already been waiting, the man in the black shirt finally came back over. Instead of seating us, he told us it would actually be another 45 minutes to an hour before we would even be seated and receive food. I asked if that included the time we had already spent waiting, and he responded to me in a very dismissive and demeaning way, saying that we would not even be seated for another 45 minutes. At that point, my mom and stepdad decided we should just go somewhere else. My mom asked if the drinks could be comped given the poor communication and how the situation had been handled. His response was basically, "You'll have to take it up with them," referring to the bar. When I asked if the bar was a separate business, he ignored the question and walked away. My stepdad then had to go up to the bar and pay for four drinks, which took another 10 minutes despite there being two bartenders and very few people waiting. I can't review the food because we never got the chance to try it. We came in hoping to have a nice dinner to celebrate a college graduation, and instead we got rude service, poor communication, and a complete waste of time. We would have gladly come back another day if the staff had simply been honest, respectful, and organized from the start, but after this experience, we won't be returning.
