I'm mixed on this place. It was pretty busy at times, and although they have lines, it's kind of all over the place. I will say it is clean inside, and they had ample staff who were friendly for the most part. I went twice. The first time, I got the Egg Sandwich with Bacon on a garlic bagel. It was pretty good, with an old-school bagel taste, which I enjoyed. The egg wasn't my favorite but wasn't bad. The only complaint was the bacon being salty, but that's bacon; it was cooked well and crispy. The second time, I got the Egg Sandwich with Sausage on a garlic bagel. I wasn't a fan. The egg tasted bland, the bagel itself was soggy, and the sausage had no flavor. It feels like they microwave the eggs now that I'm thinking about it, especially since they aren't fried and thick. Each visit was $6.17. Not really worth it in my opinion. I was going to try one last time and try their cream cheese, but I would rather go to Liz Sue in Norwalk, which is way better in my opinion. Also, parking is difficult here during rush hour, weekends, and lunchtime.

The BLT on a plain bagel was incredible! The bagel was perfectly toasted and soft in the middle. The bacon was crisp to perfection and lettuce was crunchy. Just a great sandwich. I also go an iced cappuccino and an almond croissant that was superb as well!

No crowds. No reason to get our orders wrong each time.

100% wrong each order so far. Ordered Day at the Beach Turkey on a Salt Bagel toasted without cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. Even asked the manager if there was dairy in the Russian dressing and he said no; only ketchup and mayo. Ate through half the bagel only to see Swiss cheese on half the sandwich. -1 Star. Day at the Beach = Day of Diarrhea. Went back and ordered an Onion Bagel toasted with Peanut Butter and Butter for my wife. I ordered the Beach Bum toasted on Salt Bagel because I love Turkey, Bacon and Onions. We arrived home and the Onion Bagel was not toasted with cold butter and peanut butter. -1 Star. The Beach Bum sandwich had no Bacon on it but I was hungry and ate it anyway. -1 Star. Batting 100 so far for bad service. My wife demanded we return to ucbc because who wants to eat a cold bagel with cold butter and peanut butter? We drove back and informed the employee ( kid ) at the counter that they got our orders wrong. He begrudgingly toasts another onion bagel with peanut butter and butter. He hands me the toasted onion bagel. I asked if they were out of bacon and he responds with a resounding "no, we have bacon." I mention to him again that I ordered the Beach Bum sandwich but there was no bacon on it and he just looked at me In silence without a response. -1 Star. No apologies. No attempt at correcting the errors. Just open contempt towards a customer. -1 Star.

Everything bagel with cream cheese and lox. Ample spread but the lox is sorely lacking on this bagel.

I can't say this place has weak bagels because they are tried and true delicious. The low rating is preparation and safety during this pandemic. I put the blame on the age of those working at the store, who, with masks, appear to be under 30. There is no social distancing here, no places marked to stand safely 6 feet apart, no monitoring of who is wearing a mask properly. For the bagels themselves, the bread was great as usual but for the NYC prices, I expected NYC portions. Every few months I go for the specialty sandwich hoping management reads a review and speaks to the preparers. Alas, for now, and certainly through this pandemic, I'll stick to ordering on line, paying on line (and this is key as the shop is not following health guidelines), and picking up out-of-doors the reliable, easy favorite of a bagel toasted with cream cheese or butter.

I have ordered from this place 2 times and the second time was it looks and tastes the same as a child play toy.

very mediocre. airline quality food. Nice people. Sloppy, horrible decor. They are lucky they have no one else selling bagels.

Really good for bagels outside New York City. The shop is a little tacky, but clean. The people are friendly and helpful.

Delicious bagels. The shop is fresh, clean and lots of variety. Service is a bit slow.

Stopped in this morning to pick up two sandwiches and a bagel for a 5 hour car ride…read more I should have know better.... I knew better, but got a bagel anyway since I didn't want to drive to the bagel shop for another stop. Asked for the bagel not toasted with butter - since I asked if they were fresh delivered this morning. This bagel was like what you'd get at the airport in the Midwest. It was like white bread with a smear of melted butter. Crap bagel. Ok again I knew better. That's on me Two hours into the ride, it's time for a sandwich - Italian combo, no lettuce. What wasn't listed on the sandwich ingredient list was mold. The provolone was moldy. How did he not see this when making it. I guess he didn't care since he was using all pre-sliced meats at 9:00 am. I get you need to be efficient in a deli, but you should be slicing fresh every day. How old was this provolone that it had mold on it? The other sandwich was made with freshly sliced prosciutto. It was supposed to have pesto on it - little evidence of that. (Although maybe the mold on my sandwich confused the guy thinking he already added green to the sandwiches). Ok. Snide remark but I'm pissed that I spent $35 for two sandwiches and a bagel ;and 2 of the three were inedible. When Corbos was across the street this deli was great. Now not so much. Pass on this place. I couldn't go tell the owner that there was a problem because I was now 2 hours away.

Great quality food, quick service and friendly staff…read more I ordered the Cajun Chicken Cutlet Caprese wrap and the Eatalian sandwich on a roll. Both very good, ingredients taste very fresh and it was filling. One time we ordered one item and since they didn't have it, they included a sorry note and included some alternatives. Would highly recommend.
