The two bagel sandwiches we picked up today were about the biggest bagel sandwiches I ever saw. They were about the same circumference as a hard roll and just as thick. We picked up a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese breakfast bagel and a Turkey Club bagel today. Both sandwiches cost us $17.50 total. The BEC was for my nephew, and I can assure you he made short work of it in record time. My wife and I split the Turkey Club, and if you check out the photo, you'll see how loaded with turkey it was. Half of that sandwich was plenty for each of us. And check out the gigantic slices of cheese pizza they sell. I'm not sure I've ever seen pizza slices that large. Thank God we also bought cream cheese in the rye bagel shop because when we got to Maine my husband took two bites of his bagel with veggie cream cheese and we realized the cream cheese was spoiled. Love this place! They're local, prices are fair, and bagels are always delicious. Their service is very quick and easy, they write the order right on the bag so it's very difficult to mess up. Above average bagel spot with your classic bagel spot menu. The place can get busy but service is fast and they're always looking out to make sure you get your order in and food in a timely manner. Best bagel I've found in CT and definitely in Stamford. My go-to is a toasted everything or egg bagel with chive cream cheese. Jalapeño cheddar cream cheese is great too. If i could give 0 stars i would. I remember going in here one day and one of the cooks (chunkiest cook they got) was literally talking down on me saying i looked like a clown & a bunch of other f'd up things about me to his other coworkers, all because my hair was dyed red. Mind you he was talking in Spanish assuming I wasnt going to understand what he was saying. If i was in one of my moods things wouldve ended differently that day but im better than that. To this day i tell all my friends and family not to go there cause who would want that type of customer service. Its ridiculous what people think they can get away with nowadays. Came to the Stamford location. Located in the Bulls Head Shopping Center. It's small inside, no seating inside available and there was a line but they moved quickly. I had a Turkey egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Hot, fresh and heavenly. It was delicious the bagel was lightly toasted to perfection with the inside being soft. The cheese was so gooey, eggs were made great and the Turkey layered on top perfectly. Definitely recommend stopping in for a bagel with anything inside or just a bagel. Also tons of parking even though it's shared with the other businesses in this plaza and there is an area to eat outside. read more

This place makes the worst BEC I've ever had. The eggs are microwaved in a plastic container, not cooked on a grill. They overloaded the sandwich with terrible bacon that tasted off (either poor quality or near expiration). I took one bite and immediately threw it away. read more

Down right sad.... Is there still a health department in Stamford? Went in for a pumpernickel bagel got a bagel that was the color of a brown paper bag. No flavor to it. I went back to check with staff if it was indeed a pumpernickel, they said it was. Another customer agreed - they don't even resemble pumpernickel (see the pic). The staff also needs to make up their mind - mask on or mask off. Not in between hanging off the face. Haven't been there in decades seems they haven't cleaned since. The line is long, and you're guaranteed to wait for a good amount of time for bagels on the weekend. Once inside, the place is a bit cruddy, disorganized, and just not appealing. I was wondering if I was in the right place. The staff is efficient, friendly, and right on top of one another. There's a lot of reheating here - are those microwaves? Not sure if my egg was made fresh or not? I just left the place feeling like are these going to be worth the 20 min wait? The bagels are good, not great. I found them more gummy than I like. Not chewy, gummy, like they needed a min more in the water. We had the lox bagel advertised and promoted by hand-written signs. It was ok. I have ordered various bagels and sandwiches; maybe a baker's dozen of times. This is an average bagel place relative to either nyc or mtl. Are they as good...absolutely NOT. However, it will do in a pinch especially when no other competitors exists. If you're not a fan of heavy amounts of cream cheese, make sure they are aware. They are quite generous even when asking for one side (they still give you enough spread for both). Eggs are microwave in a plastic container that doesn't appeal to me, however, it seems not to bother most patrons. The selection of bagels and cream cheese are the best in the area so far. Success seems to be similar to other establishments in the area; based on tradition, bubble life, or lack of competition. The staff is always friendly and efficient given the crowds. read more

Good bagels. Some of the only good bagels in town. Only get bagels... Buyer BEWARE... the egg Sammie's are cracked eggs into a plastic container that they then microwave! The container is used multiple times. Basically eating a plastic leeching sandwich.. gross! This has to be some sort of health violation... even Dunkin uses ovens! So glad they have a gluten free option for me!!! Usually bagel places have frozen store bought gluten free bagels :( BUT here, they have fresh! I got a gluten free bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, & egg whites. The only downside is that they're microwaved which everyone knows :( but it didn't affect the taste much! Another issue I had, my boyfriend got an egg & cheese but they clearly cross contaminated & he had cream cheese & lox from my sandwich smeared on his. Probably used the same knife. What if he was allergic to smoked salmon or something? Sandwiches got out in a timely manner but maybe they should slow down & not cross contaminate LOL. But the gluten free bagel was really good, had a croissant buttery flavor, a bit small but still filling & best gluten free bagel I've tried so far. The salmon was fresh too! read more
