    Sandwich number five

I can't say enough good things about Village Bagels in Norwalk--what a fantastic spot! I stopped in recently and was blown away by the quality and care they put into their food. I started with an iced chai tea, which was perfectly spiced, not too sweet, and incredibly refreshing on a warm day. Then came the bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox--honestly, one of the best I've ever had. The bagel was fresh, perfectly toasted, and piled high with creamy, flavorful scallion cream cheese and generous slices of silky lox. I also ordered the Number 5 sandwich from their menu, and wow, it was a game-changer. It was absolutely stuffed with meat, fresh veggies, and all the fixings, making every bite hearty and delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their craft. The atmosphere here is so cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to grab a quick bite, enjoy a leisurely lunch, or even just sip a coffee while catching up with a friend. And don't sleep on their muffins! The pistachio muffin was a dream for a nut lover like me, with such a rich, authentic flavor. I also tried the cornbread muffin, and it was pure comfort food--moist, slightly sweet, and just like homemade. Village Bagels is consistent, welcoming, and clearly a local favorite for a reason. Whether you're craving a healthy sandwich, a classic bagel, or a sweet treat, this place has it all. I'll be back soon and recommend it to everyone in Norwalk or any neighboring cities or towns! ---Ubdate---- I just visited Village Bagels again and was blown away by their iced coffee--it was absolutely phenomenal! The addition of nutmeg elevated the flavor to a whole new level, delivering a rich, aromatic experience that was both unique and delightful. You can tell the coffee was freshly brewed with high-quality ingredients; unlike many places nearby, it wasn't diluted or lackluster in the slightest. The atmosphere at Village Bagels is equally inviting, with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes every visit enjoyable. The staff truly stands out--they're attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about their customers. Plus, the cleanliness of the location is impeccable, reflecting their commitment to excellence. I can't recommend Village Bagels enough for a top-tier coffee and a fantastic overall experience!

Village Bagels are you guys throwing in 24k karat gold edible gold flakes in the food? I mean for God's sake what in the world are you guys trying to do with these insanely inflated ridiculous prices? I paid nearly $3.00 for a bagel with butter. Are you kidding me? For one bagel with tad of butter? I will definitely be looking for another local bagel shop nearby and will not be going back to Village Bagel nor will I recommend my friends. Lunch will probably cost around two arms and a leg? What a travesty to have a tiny bagel shop charging prices as if it were a fine dining restaurant. Take another good look at your prices and reconsidered making some serious changes.

Good menu with a hint of kitsch. :)

All around yum! We found this on our way back from a family visit, and it hit the spot. If you can't decide between a bagel or an egg and cheese, you're in the right spot at Village Bagels, who know adults need a good bagel but kids deserve a fun bagel too. The line to the door was a little intimidating (and it was out the door when I was leaving), but the selection was great. Though not every bagel place has jalapeño bagels, Village does, and the scallion cream cheese was nicely balanced. The lox on my sesame bagel wasn't stingy, and the little one's rainbow bagel (which every bagel place nowadays should have) was that colorful. The atmosphere isn't glamorous but if you're eating a bagel, down to earth is perfect. That, and there's a few tables available if you don't want onion smell in your car. I'm giving the bagels 4 1/2 stars. The line to/out the door wasn't too long, and the folks behind the deli were friendly despite the line, so five stars to them! Let's make it six stars since they're a local spot: the lady behind the counter correctly knew the coffee order of my fellow customer before he ordered/confirmed it. In all, good find!

Ordered a salad, cold cut wrap and smoothie. Specifically asked if the chicken in the salad was warm... It wasn't. Definitely not the best food. Probably won't be ordering again. The fruit smoothie was not made with fresh fruits either.

The staff was super friendly, and I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. It was made on a Brioche roll with a fried egg. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the egg or the sandwich overall. It was okay, probably a three-star kind of thing. Next time I went back, I tried the Calise sandwich, which has chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because I know everyone makes it differently. I get that it can be bitter, but some places make it taste amazing without the bitterness, so I wanted it on the side. The sandwich was really good, so I'd give it four stars, especially since the breakfast one was just three in my book. Sometimes you gotta visit a place a couple of times to really get a feel for their food. I wasn't really a fan of the broccoli rabe--it was a bit too bitter for me. But the sandwich itself was tasty, with well-seasoned chicken and really fresh mozzarella. Not sure if they make the mozzarella in-house, but it's delicious. It tasted just like you'd expect from an authentic Italian deli. Very good. Third time I went, I tried the Mother Clucker, which has a chicken cutlet, Russian dressing, cheddar cheese, and bacon. I wanted to try it because I'd seen it being made during my last visit and it looked awesome. It took about ten minutes to get ready. When I opened it up, I realized it had melted cheddar, not sliced like I thought, but it was all good. The sandwich was tasty, but a bit over the top with the bacon and melted cheddar--almost too much. I think using sliced cheddar would bring everything together better. The melted cheese kinda takes away from it, in my opinion. The bacon was crispy even with the cheesy sauce on top, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. I definitely plan to come back and try the Chopped Italian Combo. The staff's always friendly and welcoming, and it's a solid spot if you're looking for breakfast, with plenty of breakfast platters and other menu items that might catch your eye.

While in the area, I was looking for something to eat for lunch. I spotted this place while driving by and decided to stop in. I was greeted as I walked in and ordered the number 13, known as the Seth Combo Wrap: chicken cutlet, arugula, long hots, tomato, jalapeños, cheddar, mayo, and balsamic on your choice of wrap. I asked to switch the wrap to a grinder and removed the jalapeños and long hots since I don't like spicy food. The sandwich was ready in about ten minutes. It turned out to be really good and incredibly fresh. The arugula added a bold, peppery, slightly spicy flavor with a nutty, sharp bite. I especially loved the balsamic vinegar, which gave the sandwich a rich, sweet, and tangy kick. The chicken was crispy and tasty, though it could have been a bit more seasoned. Overall, it was a solid sandwich -- fresh and satisfying. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely be back to try more items from the menu.

I asked for hot peppers because I was gonna put them on the slice that was mine I opened the box and I noticed that the person placed the slices on top of one another??? since when do you place a hot slice of pizza on top of a hot slice of pizza. The cheese is going to come off of the bottom slice of pizza and it's ruined (it's pizza bread). I then asked the person for foil or something so I could separate and salvage what was left of the slice? A persons with excellent customer service would have apologized and given me another slice or better yet never done it. The person already had such an attitude about giving me something to separate the slices since the box wasn't large enough, I didn't know that the box wasn't large enough to fit the two slices until I opened it to put crushed red peppers on one of the slices. Nevertheless, he ended up giving me another box and told me I should've told him that they both weren't for me. I was flabbergasted. Why should I have told him that he shouldn't have put two slices of pizza on top of one another. That should've been common sense. I've been ordering slices of pizza for many many years and this is the first time that someone has ever done something so stupid and blame the customer.
