Like Michelle M said back in '08, their BBQ chicken is worth the visit alone. For the last 14 years, whenever my daughter and I have had a craving for pizza, this is it. On whole wheat. Finally found a good pizza place in Vista! Prices are reasonable. Pizza is great with very generous toppings. Love the pizza. Salads are ok. The antipasto is skimpy with the meats as noted in other reviews. I think the greens have a preservative on them as I got a severe gut ache the one time I had the salad and never again with pizza only. (My stomach is a reliable lettuce preservative detector.) So, Skip the salad and enjoy the pizza. It's great! read more

Lunch specials are unbeatable. Food is great and consistent. Staff is always friendly. LOVE THEIR CALZONES (special # 4. comes with salad and a drink for $6 and change). Their pizza dough is amazing. This place has been a family favorite for YEARS, their Hot stuff sandwiches and cold subs are the best sandwiches you can get in my opinion! Their salads are freaking delicious! This is a great neighborhood type of pizza place with no fancy pants and shirts required. The pizza and calzone are great and reasonably priced. Salads are plentiful and dressing more than adequate. The nostalgia factor is more what brings me back here than anything. I grew up playing Little League and some of our pizza parties were held here. That and soccer and other sports. It was also the closest pizza place to home so that brought us there more often than not too. The cheese has always been stringy and melty, which is good of course. But little things like dirty tables and a hoarder's mentallity for condiments and beverages leaves a foul taste in my mouth at the end every time. It feels like they nickel and dime you to death. They need to update the arcade too. I know they're not as popular as they once were, but at least if you're going to mix classic with new, make them good classics and good new ones. Instead they have a few mediocre ones that you play just to kill time. read more

Ive got to say Im a yelper, and based on the reviews I went and was expecting good pizza. The pizza was average. I would rather go to Little Ceaser's next time and pay 5$ for the quality pizza you get from this place. One thing that was good was the ranch dressing. read more

Really good pizza. Decent enough beer selection. There are three kinds of wine. White, red or pink. All are drinkable. Fun family atmosphere. Always full of little league families having a party. Quick service. Easy parking. A tad more expensive then we expected. But this will be a regular spot for us when we take the kids out for a meal. read more

Well it looks like I found a pizza I can eat on a regular basis. I have been trying to find a pizza place that made a pizza that both my wife and I enjoyed and Upper Crust is it. Fresh toppings, great crust and it warms up great the next day. Two thumbs up. I would like if they had a better beer selection but the pizza is what counts. They have a great selection of hot sandwiches as well which I intend to try the next time. I recommend you try this place out if you haven't done so already. Prices are reasonable. read more

I remember I came here for a pizza & salad. I know the have a lunch special from a certain time. It ends at 3 & I came in a minute too late. I didn't care too much though. I asked the girl, "Can I get a pizza, salad & drink?" And she said "We stopped the specials 1 minute ago at 3pm." Again I asked, "Can I just have a pizza, salad & drink?" That's all I wanted. GREAT food! Have been coming here for years. They have awesome lunch specials and you can even get them on Saturdays. The salad is very good with the excellent Italian dressing. I also use it to douse my cold sandwiches, yum. Calzones, hot sandwiches, pizza....you know everything I've tried here has been just great and that is why I keep coming back and visiting this restaurant about once a week. I love this place. I have yet to have one of their pizzas because their hot sandwiches are awesome. My friend and I go there for lunch at least once a week. I order a roast beef and pepperoni with everything and my friend orders a pastrami sandwich with no cheese. The sandwiches come with a salad and a soda. the sandwiches are amazing. They are hot and the condiments make it awesome. The only other thing I have tried is the cheese bread appetizer that comes with ranch dressing. It's really a pizza size dish. It is amazing as well. The staff is always friendly and cordial. It is a family style restaurant with big screen TV's and a small game room for the kids. I love this place. read more

I never write reviews. I just want to say first of all this place makes THE best sandwiches. I only get one every now and then when my husband works near Upper Crust. Today we were in the area so stopped and ordered 2 and when we got home (We live a distance so it's a treat) and one sandwich was all wrong (the other was perfect). So I called and spoke with the "manager" whom ended up being an owner, and she was so incredibly gracious. Of course she apologized, but the fact that she actually listened is what mattered to me. Definitely a quality Restaraunt, owned by quality people :-) we will be back for sure when in the area..not to mention her insistence on a gift card for next time, which I honestly tried to decline:-) pretty awesome!
