Been coming to Anjolie since a year ago when I came in for my first session. I've come in for follow up appointments and the annual touch up. She's moved locations and she's now located in a bigger plaza next to McDonald's and Canabru. I'm always excited to come get my brows done. She's very personable and easy to get along with. She makes sure you're comfortable and asks you multiple times throughout the procedure if you're in pain. She applies 2 types of numbing cream, one before your skin has been broken and then another one after she's started. She'll add more if you say you're in pain. Overall, Anjolie is the best! I have a woman's nightmare brows. I have bald spots where hair no longer grows, one brow has more hair in places that the other doesn't, there's no tail end, it peaks and grows in three different directions, etc. I did my research for a few months before committing and while there are other professionals that do microblading, I'm confident that I made an excellent decision and the right choice by getting them done by Anjolie! For the longest time, I've been thinking about getting my brows microbladed. My brows were a mess & needed some help. I just got the microblading, no shading just yet, we talked about it and decided to see what the microblading looks like after it heals before we make a decision on whether or not to do shading. When she mapped out my new brow shape she explained from tip, to arch, to tail where my natural brows were doing me a disservice and how she intended on correcting them. I've been wanting to get my brows done for a while now since drawing them in every morning was so time consuming. I blame my middle school self where I was way too generous with a tweezer. My brows would sweat off by the end of the day even when I drew them on and used primer underneath. I inquired with a couple of places before making an appointment with Anjolie. I liked how fast her response was and even when I wasn't sure yet, she sent a highly informative packet covering every question/ concern I had. And it also had a before and after care instruction, which was prefect for me to read thoroughly. On the day of my appointment which was actually last night, Anjolie couldn't have been more friendly and nice. She made me feel so comfortable, like I was talking to my friend and seriously put my mind at ease. Her studio was clean and had such calming vibe. We started with my shape of course, she asked me what I wanted while still offering her professional input. I wanted as natural as possible while still thicker than what I usually draw in. Anjolie made sure to assess and make sure my brows were symmetrical as my left brow is higher than my right. The actual procedure didn't hurt at all, it just felt like a tiny scrape that was lightly on my skin. I even dozed off while The Weekend was playing in the background! I was beyond excited to win Upright Beauty's contest for a free eyebrow microblading & touchup session! Anjolie is extremely nice and made the whole process really relaxing. She is very experienced and goes over the whole process and what to expect. At the first session she drew the eyebrows first to make sure it's what I wanted. It was perfect. We decided on a eyebrow color shade that would be close to my natural color. The procedure itself isn't painful just weird feeling. The noise the tool makes in your ears is the weirdest part. There are a few places on the eyebrow I could feel more than others but again I wouldn't call it painful just uncomfortable/irritating. She puts on a local anesthetic to numb the area prior to the procedure and then another once she gets going. The 2nd application has a slight sting when being applied but helps to minimize pain. Anjolie really has a passion for perfecting brows and it shows in her work. I felt confident I would love my brows based on her portfolio of photos and videos posted on Instagram. I was right! I love them. It has drastically reduced my time in the morning and now I will save money not having to keep buying an Anastasia brow wiz pencil every couple of months! The healing process wasn't bad at all. The brows appear a lot darker at the beginning which I didn't really mind - they looked on point but more dramatic. ;) By week 4 they matched my eyebrow color perfectly and had a very natural appearance. There were a few strokes that faded so that's where the touchup comes in. I have slightly oily skin and was worried about the stroke lines but they healed nicely and it wasn't a problem at all. Had an overall great experience. I will definitely be returning as a paying client for touchups. I'll say that I like my eyebrows, but I don't love them. Keep in mind that if you have combo/ oily skin the pigment won't heal as crisp, giving that hair like appearance. I feel like my strokes became blurred if that makes sense. Though I was told they healed perfectly. Your eyebrows will not look exactly how you left your first appointment or touch-up appointment. So I'm just okay with it, not sure if I'll get them done again in 9ish months, guess it depends how they look by then. read more

From her work to her customer service to just her over-all personality, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Anjolie. I had e-mailed her a few months ago (during her introductory period) to inquire about microblading. She e-mailed me back with all the information I needed. She was quick to respond to all e-mails thereafter and even followed up when she didn't hear from me for a few days. Unfortunately, I was not a candidate then because of some skin issues I was working out & I was still nursing my 1 year old. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when it was the perfect time to invest in some brows, which never seemed to recover from the damage I did to them in high school. I gave her a call and finally setup an appointment. She even recommended me an eyebrow waxer (which she didn't need to) to help prepare my brows for our appointment. The actual microblading appointment was smooth and a much more enjoyable experience than I could have imagined. It took about an hour and half, from start to finish. Her studio is incredibly clean. She explained everything. What's awesome was that when she completed her work and I sat up, she noticed a teensy tiny spot that needed to be filled and didn't hesitate to fix it. I didn't even notice it but the fact that she didn't hesitate to open up another kit (after she had cleaned up) shows how much a perfectionist she is. And I appreciated it. She never pressured me into doing something I didn't want to. And she really emphasizes doing a natural look/your own brows versus what is "in style" right now. Fleeky eyebrows just won't work for everyone (myself included). Oh and did it hurt? NOT. AT. ALL. I'm so happy with the results. Like many other older millennials, my younger 1990s self did not treat my brows very well. Had I only realized that some periodic maintenance was all that was needed to keep them looking fly...
