Thai caesar salad and focaccia pizza slice
    Audrey K.

Love this place!! I went with a large group of 10 and they had seating options to fit us all. I haven't had a menu item I haven't enjoyed. The focaccia pizza slice was soft and fluffy, perfectly paired with the Thai Caesar!

To call this place just a bakery is the understatement of the year. It has it all... excellent coffee, great sandwiches, excellent baked goods, tasty salads, delicious dessert plus lots of college town cafe vibes! Counter service in the back with food delivery at your table. What we ordered: - Cuban with house salad (4.5/5): Very untraditional Cuban, but it had tons of unique flavor. Orders the 1/2 and 1/2 and the portions were great! Onions, Pablano peppers and spicy aioli was a great add. House salad had fresh spring mix and a wonderful honey mustard. Addictive croutons too. GET THIS - blt (4/5): the bread and the tasty bacon make this sandwich. Very good. - roasted veggie sandwich (4.5/5): Flavors worked incredibly well. GET THIS! - Mexican mocha: yum and delicious! Check this place out!

Came back to show friends this bakery - also for the red pepper and egg croissant. Unfortunately their menu was not updated for the day and they were out of a lot of breakfast items by the time we arrived (around 10:00). I got a slice of pepper jack quiche and it was phenomenal! $11 is a lot for a slice, or it feels like a lot compared to other items on the menu, but it was quite filling. The employees are always nice and patient with us, as it took awhile to decide what to get.

This place does it all - one of my favorite lunch spots in como!! Besides offering lunch, they also open early for breakfast and coffee & are open at night as a bar. They have lots of sandwich options, salads, soups & pastries. You order at the counter so it's the perfect place for a grab & go coffee/breakfast or a casual lunch. I love this place because I feel like they have something for everyone on their menu. Very casual & great outside seating. I love coming here on a nice day to sit outside and get some homework done. All their bread is homemade & they have homemade bakery items too like cookies and granola. The bread is so soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The best roll/bread to get is the rosemary olive oil. All of their bread is available to buy a full loaf of, so I love buying their sourdough to use at home for sandwiches or toast. Everything I've had from here is so delicious. My favorite is any of their soups, the hummus plate or the thai caesar salad. There's not great parking, but there is a parking garage across the street. If you're in need of a great latte before work, a drink on the weekend or a wholesome lunch - this is your place!!!

    Cherry oat scone

This review is based only on the breads and coffee drink that we had yesterday morning, but they were well encouraging enough that I would go back and eat anything on the menu. The scone was everything it should have been, it held together, was moist, and was a beautiful mix of oats and big pieces of cherries. My friend got the orange-cranberry muffin (pretty sure it was cranberry, I didn't pay attention before I shoved it in my mouth), but it was definitely orange, and was soft and delicious. I also didn't pay attention (oops) to what my friend got for his coffee, but I believe it was the frosted mocha. I would not think that mint and coffee would go together, but I enjoyed how this tasted very much. We also got a loaf of their Columbia Sourdough, and it was one amazing loaf of bread. The crust was just like it should be, a little stong and chewy, the inside smelled so deliciously sour, and was soft, springy and just really wonderful. Made the best toast later in the day! The whole place was really cute, clean, the bathroom was clean, it was easy to get to, and I would definitely go back next time I am in the area.

I usually pick up bread and treats from Uprise at the weekly Farmers Market. So it was nice to go into their brick and mortar store! Ordered: Sausage biscuit Mexican mocha Chocolate croissant The service was amazing! They brought my pastry and coffee to me when it was ready. This place has great indoor and outdoor seating. This is great especially as the weather is allowing for more outdoor activities. The biscuit was so moist and a great breakfast item! They also had ham and cheese croissant, bagels and cream cheese for breakfast. The croissant was so flaky and delicious. I'll definitely be back just for the croissant. They also have a variety of other pastries like cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies. I love when coffee shops take a spin on Mexican mocha. This is the first time that I've tried one and it had a kick. Beware they add paprika or chili powder to the coffee. It's good but it may not be what you're used to. I loved it!

Visiting my cousin in Columbia for a house warming bash.... It's been 22 years since I've been in town. I wanted to avoid French fries and this spot looked inviting with the bread baking and good looking sandwiches for lunch. It's a 2 screen theater and a bakery, attached to a record store. It's pretty amazing. All the better if you want some adult drinks and like to mingle with eclectic people. We enjoyed the pleasant service, my waitresses worked together to bring all my party's food out at once. I had the banh mi sandwich and I was very happy with it. I tried my son's grilled cheese and and it was also great! My wife's Cuban also tasted very very good ( I did indeed have a bite). The bread. Sooo good. I wanted to go back the next day. If I went to MU, I would be there a lot.

Uprise, in my opinion, is the best sandwich spot in CoMo. Fresh baked bread, a nice variety of sandwiches on the menu that are very well done, and a great selection of pastries. Can't really beat that. The pulled pork cuban is my favorite. I love Cubans so seeing that they put their own spin on it by adding some heat and putting it on ciabatta got me curious. It is absolutely amazing!

I didn't want anything heavy, so I just went with an appetizer and a cocktail. For my cocktail I choose, 11Eleven Old Fashioned. My birthday is 11-11 and one of my favorite cocktails is a Old Fashioned, so it just seemed right. It was refreshing and helped me relax before heading out to my party. As a child, I was not a fan of Brussels Sprouts. Now that I am an adult, I order them all the time as an appetizer. These were flash fried and then tossed with honey, mustard, bacon and parmesan. They hit the spot, and gave me something in my tummy before heading over to Logboat. It actually, was rather filling. I could have it as an entree and be satisfied. My server was sweet and friendly. She touched base with me often, which is good customer service. If you stay at, The Broadway, 11Eleven would be a quick and easy meal.

The place was extremely lively, which I kind of expect for a brunch place, but there was some serious energy here. The wait staff was buzzing around and I was particularly impressed that what I assume was management was also helping out on the service side pretty heavily. Anyways, I opted for some biscuits and gravy (solid A), scrambled eggs (B+), and breakfast potatoes (A-). I also needed to try the sweet/spicy chicken biscuit deal and while it was incredibly messy, it as very good (solid A). The menus are... overwhelming, the descriptions are complex, the print barely visible, but absurdly high prices for breakfast fare... $17 for a BLT biscuit???? I chose simple with the JoJo's special of just eggs, potatoes and gravy biscuit. The eggs were cooked well and to my liking, but the potatoes had a very off flavor that I just could not take, and did not finish them (nor even take them to go). The gravy biscuit was... okay. Still had some kind of herb either in the gravy or in the biscuit that wasn't very appealing. My wife chose the "avocado" toast which was piled very high with mixed salad greens? Then a very light spread of avocado hiding underneath. For $17... At least the coffee was piping hot and flavorful. I'm afraid this is a once and done. I do not recommend this place at all.
