This review is for UPS in general. But my package strange route started here. We sent a package international, we paid $100 (it is usually $200, but for first users, ii was 50% off). We chose the 2 day delivery service. Here we are 4 days in, and they have no idea where the package is. According to 2 customer service guys, the tracking info is not where the package is physically. Who knows what that means! Our last tracking update said: We left your package on the plane, so now it is back to where it started." Really??? This morning, the package had gone back and forward between South America and Miami, Fl 3 times. Here we are after 5 days, the package finally got the final destination of Bogotá, Colombia. Louis (Louie) is absolutely wonderful and saved my weekend. I was expecting an important package for my first day of work. The delivery estimate online said that I had to be home to sign for the package 9-11am. After some delays the window changed to be 11am-7pm. I waited for hours not sure when I could step out. Of course with my luck when I walked my dogs, the driver missed me by 5 minutes. Normally I would just wait until Monday to get my package but I was flying out to New York and needed the package urgently. It was close to closing hours on a Friday but Louis was extremely helpful and kind. He went out of his way to make sure I got my package in time and explained every step clearly. I have used this Service Center four times to ship small arms ammunition to the rightful owner. Shipping ammunition is complicated. USPS and Fed-Ex will not accept it for shipping. When my friend moved, the moving company also refused to accept his ammunition. The people at this office were so helpful. I don't usually ship anything. They made it simple. So this is very much a shipping hub that also has basically a customer pickup desk. Don't expect any frills, just some UPS staff that looks like they are pretty busy but will help locate your parcel if its has been held there. Its open from 10am to 6pm Mon-Fri. There is a note saying they can be open from 7:30pm to 8pm by appointment but there is no number listed to call and make that appointment. read more

horrible service, my package has been out for delivery since Friday October 20. It said they attempted to make a delivery, which wasn't true as i was home the entire time. The delivery was rescheduled to today Monday the 23rd. This time I had the option to see where the truck was at, it was around my house but they never attempted to make the delivery. I got an email saying my delivery was rescheduled to tomorrow which makes no sense because they were down the street from my house. UPS, needs to work on bettering their service. I came in today for the first time looking for a package that was being held. The gentleman even helped me put it into my car because it was too heavy for me to carry. No problems this time-- printed out my UPS label at home thanks to Amazon emailing it. Dropped it off at this location to make sure that it got scanned in after my issue last time.... Previously, I shipped my old iPhone 6s via UPS back to T-mobile corporate located in Texas from California. The phone was lost in shipping for nearly 3 months. T-mobile forced me to continue making payments until the phone was eventually found because UPS did not give me a receipt at the time of the drop off. This place is definitely less than perfect. I'll start with my customer center experiences - the gentlemen in the morning were helpful but still had some kind of attitude, and the evening people seem to be the reverse - not as helpful as kind. But that's ok. The hours are crazy - 10-12, 4-6, 7:30-8? That doesn't make any sense for somewhere like a facility to run. The employees were super helpful. Even at closing, the employee worked with me and had customer service on the phone to ensure my package was being sent properly. He even let another gal in after the doors were locked because she seemed to need to get that package out (overheard her saying she needed to get that package to a bride by the following day for her wedding). Unfortunately, I wasn't told I needed to provide an Exporter or Employer Identification Number because I was sending more than $2500 in goods outside the USA. After spending $700 on shipping, $250 to insure the package, and $15 to pay for someone at UPS to complete the appropriate customs documents, a week later I get the call stating they need this info. It was supposed to arrive in Hong Kong yesterday, and instead it's still in California. So now I have to find out from the IRS if I'll be taxed on this. read more

This company is shady and needs to be investigated. I sell through Amazon. Shipping my last three packages was a nightmare. Two of the packages were going to Washington. One was going to Maine. After we shipped the package, we checked the tracking the next morning, it says that the packages got to their destination and were refused by the customers. I live in Orange County, CA. So, according to UPS, my packages teleported and were able to travel thousand of miles within minutes. We contacted the customers and of course they said they never refused anything and they were actually waiting for their packages. Three days later, the packages were returned to us. UPS Reason: Receiver did not order. For the past two weeks I have spent countless hours with their useless customer service. I think the ones in Egypt are cyborgs. Half bots half human. All they say is don't worry. We will handle it. Yeah right, nothing gets handled. The catch is, now we are asking for our money back since the packages never left California, and we're returned back to us. UPS is refusing to give us back our money. Their reason- customer refused the package. I am baffled on how this company is publicly traded. Honestly, they are shady and I am surprised they weren't hit with a class action lawsuit based on their shady practices. I mean if it happened to me three times in a Month, how many others has this happened to? Went into this location just to drop off a package. For whatever reason this location is still on Covid lockdown. Stickers on the floor, want you to wear a mask, and only allowing 6 people in at a time. None of their computers are working so you have to wait for someone. Only 1 individual working inside the location. Come on UPS you have to do better, this location has always been subpar. But even worse now with no staff and still enforcing masks. Get over the Covid thing already it's been 2 years. Wake up and get things back to normal and add additional staff. So individuals that do decide to use this location can be in and out. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER RECEIVED!! I ordered a perishable item that tracked to arrive to me on 1/11/19. When the package didnt arrive that day I tracked it and was told the address was incorrect. I called on the 11th and corrected the address and was told it would arrive to me on Monday. I called back the next day to find out if I could just pick it up and the lady put me on hold and hung up on me. I called back immediately & the next woman told me it was already on a truck and I would receive it today. When the package didn't arrive yet again I called and they told me it was still at the facility in aliso and would arrive mo day, mind you this is a perishable iteM that I was supposed to receive Friday. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes with no information. I called back immediately and asked immediately to speak to a supervisor, they preceded to put me on hold again for over 5 minutes with no information... I then called on another phone and asked to speak to a supervisor. Now at this point I am on hold on 2 phones waiting to speak to a supervisor. Finally a supervisor came on and told me this is my fault for not continuously tracking my items every day. Even though I was told it would be there the 11th. Now my perishable package has been sitting in Aliso Viejo for 3 days and I keep being told I'll get it monDay the 14th. Finally they admit they received it on the 8th and destroyed the package that day. Do the 8 other times I called between the 11th-12th they over and over again lied to me telling me they had it when they had already destroyed it 4 days earlier. Unbelievable & so disappointed in their service, or better yet lack there of! If your package gets stuck there get a refund immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!! And don't expect any help! The company is known for their brown delivery trucks and workers in the brown uniforms. One of their large distribution centers is conveniently located off of Brookline Drive and Aliso Creek Road in Aliso Viejo, California. I was able to easily locate them with my GPS. I was very pleased at how quick and painless the entire process was. They have a large parking lot in front of their warehouse, but I was able to pull into a stall immediately in front of their doors. I then had an over-sized almost hundred pound shipment to mail out within the United States and was able to get one of their workers to help me with it from my car, onto their scale and off for shipment. He gave me the form to fill out and I was quickly on my way. Something that I was expecting to be a nightmare was made as simple and painless as possible by their helpful gentleman worker. I would definitely consider doing business with this company again. read more

This UPS Customer Center is actually the Aliso Viejo Hub for South OC. I'm so happy I live right by it. I remember way back when I lived in Irvine and had to pick something up from here. I thought it was so far away. Fast forward, years later and I actually live by it. Whenever I have a package that I can't personally sign for, I have it sent here to pick up on my way home. It's convenient and has plentiful parking. They are open until 7 pm on the weekdays and they have Saturday hours as well. The lines are generally short but they are only staffed with 2 in the front so your wait time can vary. When picking up your package, bring your ID. I've seen people turned away because they don't have proper identification. Why in the world would you drive here without your license? It boggles the mind. Anyway, be prepared and you'll walk out with your package in a short amount of time. The attitude of the staff can also vary but they deal with people all day, so think about how you'd feel in their shoes. read more

The packages arrived today. No signature was required and there were no problems with the address. They need to meet their commitments and be truthful when delivery is not made. Order item from Amazon for 2 day shipping on Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving. On Friday I get an email stating "Delivery attempted" - I call as soon as I saw the email (about 2 hour after email was sent). The UPS representative told me that due to the holiday they could not deliver the item until Monday - he never answer my question about WHY it said delivery attempted, when nobody try to deliver anything ( it is my office address, and there is always somebody from 7:00 am til 6:00 pm). Now forward to Wednesday (a little over a week since I purchase item) and still a NO SHOW. BAD Business practice UPS !!! This location is straight garbage. I paid for 2 day shipping on a perishable item. Waited all day at home with the door open to receive said package. When I checked the tracking information again at 3pm, it said delivery was attempted at 12:26 pm and receiver was not available. That they would try again on Monday (4 days after the seller shipped). Not so much as a yellow slip because the driver in fact did not attempt to deliver. Called the 800 number. UPS sent two messages, one on Saturday and one an hour ago, to the hub to contact me on Monday at 10. It's currently 11:46 and I haven't been contacted. I wasn't home for a 'must be signed for' delivery and they tracked down the truck it was on, let me know when it would be back to the center. I returned and sure enough there was my package. An incorrect house number on a package I was expecting today led me to the UPS in Aliso Viejo. If this was just a package I would have waited for re-delivery, but this was no ordinary package. It was my daughter's wedding dress. Louis was exceptional. The other gentleman there was equally amazing. They tracked down the driver twice to keep us informed of the progress. Customer Service was closing but these two stayed on the task. Louis assured me I would go home with the dress. He was true to his word. He stayed late and delivered to my car as soon as it came in. I hope he knows how much my daughter and I appreciate his efforts. Both Louis and the other gentleman are fantastic Employees and people. read more
