Once again, the Durham UPS Customer Delivery Center is not reliable. I have had several packages get lost in their processing center. The latest mess involves a medical/post surgical product that has been sitting in the Durham processing center for more than 24 hours. It seems likely that it is lost. UPS refuses to allow customer service feedback or inquiries, and has no accountability for lost, misplaced, or mis-directed packages. Medical necessities should NOT be sent via UPS in the Raleigh, Durham area. I have never had a problem with FedEx, a highly efficient and well managed delivery service. read more

I ordered some repair parts from a supplier in Texas to ship to my location in North Carolina. It's just a few discrete electrical components of no great value. Tracking shows the package arrived at the Raleigh Hub on June 6, 2022, then apparently my parts just vanished. How do packages just simply disappear? This Customer Care center is a convenient spot if you know you need to sign for a package and you won't be home, you can reroute it to Will Call here. I was able to reroute it online and got an email notifying me it was ready to pick up and I had a week to pick it up before they sent it back. The process was seamless and I was happy not to miss my wine delivery. They also have computer if you want to print out a label and print something. This is their Customer Center and not a retail store so don't expect them to pack and do everything for you like the UPS shops do. The woman manning the counter was friendly and tried to get everyone taken care of as quickly as she could. read more

This place is populated with liars and thieves! They all lie after they steal your stuff. September 12th, 2018. Hurricane Florence is planning to make Wilmington her home for a few days. I ordered a very good generator to be delivered a day prior to the storm's landfall. It never arrived. We were left with nothing and had to stay in the car for a night with three scared cats and a shaking dog, with chips and a couple of cans of soup. Our survival plan was solid. We just needed that generator to survive. We lost everything in the fridge. No bathroom, nothing. The next day we were lucky to find a crappy hotel room, which was already flooded, but UPS was fine with it. Dirtbags. I used the Amazon tracking and found it had been diverted to Columbia, SC that day. After the storm passed I called Amazon to ask what had happened. They said someone at the Raleigh Distribution Center sent them - and get a load this criminality - a "return to shipper" notice! Degenerate thieves and criminals. The gentleman at Amazon followed up with me a DAY later and said, "Yea, they stole it. But there's nothing we can do about it. That station has a terrible history of theft, we won't use them. But your product was shipped from the seller, which uses them. I can't really say any more about it." And then he sent me a complete path of my generator and a paper trail of the theft there - telling all the things he couldn't over The phone. The people at the Atlantic Ave UPS center are nothing short of criminals, liars and managers who cover up and abed the criminality rampant under their brain dead - and get fully complicit noses. The reason I am giving this one star is in order to provide a review. I saw another review STRIKINGLY similar. No straight story from UPS about a mirror on plywood that was missing from its box. They have changed the story multiple times, the fact is it is in their system and they have PROOF of what happened, but are being cagey because someone or people at UPS are pilfering. They go through boxes and find things they think are valuable and they take them. Seller nice guy will get 100.00 for his 500.00+ mirror. Very nice item. So literally, if you ship with UPS you are paying them for potentially taking your items, and guaranteeing no recourse. I will never buy from another seller who ships UPS. I will never again ship UPS. They literally steal from you and collude to protect themselves and their thieving employees. Except once, they always delivered my time-sensitive medication to my home without requiring a signature. My account has 'no signature required' as my default. The sender always sends it without requiring a signature. After the first mishap, UPS said that it would never happen again. Well, it did. I called UPS and they wouldn't admit their mistake, insisting it always said "signature required." I read them the email that notified me of an upcoming delivery where it said "no signature required." I offered to email it to the representative and she refused. Then she said I'd just have to wait 4 days for it to be delivered so I could sign for it. I explained that this is time-sensitive medication and if it's not here on day 4 there could be serious medical consequences. She said that she would call back within an hour to let me know if they could do something about it. No call. So I called them again. I asked them if they could drop it at a local UPS Store so I could get it. They wouldn't do that. I asked if I could pick it up at the distribution center the next day. They wouldn't do that. They wouldn't even guarantee that "no signature required" would be honored in the future, but for this delivery, it was updated to "no signature required." On that 4th day, I got an alert for a delivery between 2:15a and 6:15p. They tried to deliver at 9:30a. I wasn't home and they still "required a signature." Complete and utter incompetence. I called the pharmacy that shipped my medication and let them know what UPS did. They immediately sent a courier two cities over to personally hand me the medication. So, you know, that I won't die. My pharmacy also mentioned that UPS never showed up today to pick up over 300 prescriptions for delivery. Hopefully this huge pharmacy switches to a carrier that cares. And starts doing the reason they even exist: deliver packages. UPS: never using them again. Ever. They don't follow their own protocols and when you offer to bend over backward to get the package they messed up delivering they don't care. Even when your life is at stake. read more

Consistently damaging products delivered, especially if over a few lbs. We ship commercial and residential and unless it's an overnight package where you pay $$$ we get damage more as a rule than an exception. We also deal with, late shipments and lost packages but not as often. This week a shipment was delivered to the hub in Raleigh. It was a 64 lb package so we opted to pick it up at the service center at 4000 Atlantic vs. rumbling around in the delivery van till 6 PM. The package has been sitting in tractor trailer for two days with no movement. It's literally across the street from the customer center but they can't seem to get it there. read more

Kept repeating the same tired lines over and over without any solutions. Went back to site and re-registered, still no luck. Virtual assistant refered me to sites that did not help. Package is 5 days late without explanation and noone to speak to it about. My local distribution center referred me to Raleigh saying that the package was there and I should call to find out why it had not been shipped out before now, but I can't get any answers besides same canned answers from robot - not helpful and beyond frustrating. Another issue with UPS and their customer service. I had my order diverted to the customer center, was called and told it had arrived and is ready for pick up. I went to the center to find out it was there and they couldn't tell me where my package was. After waiting 45 min they finally told me and the other dozen people waiting for similar packages that our packages were likely across the street in the distribution centers office and they might try to deliver tomorrow (a Saturday). It was closing time and they would be closed tomorrow, open again Monday. They seemed annoyed we were all asking where our packages were and kept saying we can come back Monday. I called customer service and they kept telling me the package was at the center and I would have to go back Monday. No one seems to know anything or unwilling to find it. read more

I literally just walked in at 5:15 PM on March 2, 2022 with 3 pre-labeled packages I needed to return. No one else was in the store except the young, thin, light skinned girl with green eyes and braids abs a hat on. I haven't been to this location in a while but I haven't seen her before. I said hello plain as day as soon as I walked through the door and she just looked at me and looked away. I put the packages on the counter and told her they were all returns. She proceeded to scan each package, print out a receipt and hand it to me. I said thank you when I took the receipt and she never said a word. Typically I would've asked her if she speaks, if she's able to speak and I would've called her out on it, but I was in too good of a mood to bother. Unless abs is deaf and mute, someone at this location needs to speak with her. If she's having a bad day, she could still speak to customers when they come in. I know this location is not in the very best part of town, but certain levels of customer service should be expected regardless of location. read more

Searched high and low to find the local phone number to give them a call. It took forever to find a photo of her cover but once I did that I called cover nobody answered. It turns out that it is next to impossible to speak did you have at this location unless you go there a person. September and Mr. Holt were amazing!!! They were both very polite, and in my opinion, went above and beyond their job requirements! I missed a delivery that I needed to sign for so I submitted a request to go pick it up. The recording said I would get a call within the hour. Less than 20 minutes later, I received a call from September. She said Mr. Holt was on the way to my house to make another attempt to deliver my package. So, as I was already headed to UPS to pick up my package, I turned around and went back to my house. September said he would probably get there before I would (just a few minutes) and she would ask him to wait. How awesome is that! When I got to my house, Mr. Holt was there with my package. Wow! Doris at the customer center totally went out of her way to help me with a package and it was no fault of UPS that this delivery couldn't be completed. The sender didn't put my unit number on the package so when it arrived at my building the driver had no idea where it should be delivered. I received an email via the tracking system letting me know that the package was being routed to the customer center and I would get a call. I called the 800 # immediately and selected the option to pick up my package at that Raleigh site. The automated system said I would receive a call within the hour (I was sweating bullets at this point b/c it was almost time for UPS to close). I got a call from Doris in about 10 minutes letting me know I could pick up my package the following day. I told her I had a very early flight the next morning and the package contained about $8,000 worth of Disney Park Hopper Tickets for a group event being held in Orlando. She told me as soon as the driver returned to the warehouse she would intercept my package and arrange for me to get it that night. I got the tickets from Doris just a few hours later. I would love to be able not to give this place any type of star, but since I am force to do so, one is what they're getting. That is FAR more generous than they deserve. We were told our package arrived at our apartment, but since no one could sign for it, the driver took it back with them. This "mysterious" driver was supposed to show up at this customer center at 7:55p. Apparently, they never arrived. Yet they scanned "a package label" that was associated with our package, which placed our package in the building, despite it never arriving there. We went to this inept customer care center 15 minutes before the truck was supposed to arrive. The truck never shows up, and we waited an additional 20 minutes after they closed for this truck. For 2 days, no one at this center knows where this package is, despite it being scanned in that it is in that building. We called the UPS customer service line, which is an 800 number, and even they couldn't locate it! Through divine intervention, the package wound up being found. Apparently, it was "stored in a location where packages don't usually go". The customer service at this location is shoddy at best. No one is ever informed of what's going on, the customer service people at this store move UNNECESSARILY AND DELIBERATELY SLOW, and they don't offer any kind of seating for customers (we were one of 5 people standing around in their office waiting on them to find our packages). My complaint is with UPS Customer Service over all. You can't even leave your own complaint about the service. The customer service center OVER THE PHONE takes down your complaint for you. I strongly recommend you never use UPS. Use USPS, or at least FedEx. Save yourselves. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. We paid extra money for the Next Day Air with a delivery commitment of 10:30am, not only is it now Tuesday (was ordered Thursday) yesterday the package was "Out for delivery" all day. I tracked it with the map and watched as the UPS driver drove all around our house, even stopping at our neighbors and never delivered ours. I have tried contacting customer service for the second time and for the second time they have said they will have someone call me back. Not likely. This is a very important package that requires a signature therefor I wasted an entire day sitting at home waiting yesterday and will have to do the same today.
