I went in for a pedi and wanted one with a really good massage...I was left extremely happy after getting the green tea pedi. I wish I got the nail techs name because I plan on going back for another visit. The pedi itself was relaxing...it included massage oil...hot stone massage...paraffin treatment...it was to die for! HIS EXCUSE WAS "I don't want you to mess up your nails." I did not even get my brows because that was not included in payment because he was so busy trying to make sure I paid for services. For the price that they charge, I would expect much better. I too have had issues with ingrown toenails after pedicures here. I've gotten simple mani/pedi as well as solar nail sets; the polish on the mani pedi was streaky, not covering the nail completely. I can do better with my left hand :/ Then when I tried the solar nails, the 'full set' looked beautiful, but the subsequent (2) fills were not satisfactory. I asked for rounded nails, i got square with just the edges rounded off. Even after asking several times, no change at all. The salon is very pretty, aesthetically, but the overall experience and value leave me searching for another, better salon. read more

I loved the massage chairs and the options they had for pedicures so after my first experience was horrible (cracks in my 'dip nails' and rude employees) I tried it again and they did a good job...so then I went again. Horrible. I have found this salon does not work well when it's busy. I was left sitting the pedicure chair for 45mins. The water got cold, a lot of people around me had the same issue. Just visited this store to do nails for me, my daughter, and my mother-in-law. When they messed up my daughter's nails, I asked that they fix it. Instead of apologizing and fixing the mess, the manager (Lee) said that he will never do the nails for my daughter ever again. How rude! How can someone be so insensitive and say such rude things not only to a paying customer, but also to a 10-year-old girl? I would never recommend anyone to ever go to this store. This has always been my "Go To" nail salon but lately I've been very disappointed with the service. Unfortunately, the last 3 times have been a not so satisfying experience for the amount of money I spend here. I've been overlooked twice where others have come in after me (no appointment) and have been seated way before me. For as long as I have been coming here you would think they would have better customer service!! Today, I'm writing this review as I sit here with my feet in the water and waiting on a tech. It's been literally 25 minutes...just sitting here with my feet getting all prune-e. If I am going to have to wait that long they should at least have the curtesy to tell you there is a wait...wouldn't you agree?! A woman by the name of Hardin H just left a review to this place and said that they called her a stupid little girl. Which is a HUGE LIE. I was sitting in the nail area when she came in and started complaining about her toes. She had obviously messed them up and she tried to blame them. She wanted a full refund for paint that was messed up. First of all she had a pedicure. Which was a massage, cutting cuticles and removal of old nail polish. The paint you can get from a dollar store just like she did her fake "$200 Sandals". She kept complaining that she couldn't stay but stayed ten minutes to argue. They offered her three times to redo her toes and she refused and just wanted a refund. She threatened to tell everyone she knows that they are horrible. I finally got fed up with her statements and handed her $20 out of my own pocket. She took it and i sat back down. I spoke allowed saying that she paid for a service of not only nail polish and to ask for a full refund was rude. She then came over to my nail desk and said she wasn't a rude person and put my $20 down on the table next to me and walked out. She actually IS a rude person if she is going to lie and say that they called her names and didn't try and fix the problem. They offered everything they could but she just wanted her money back out of greed or trying to get a service for free. Upscale is a FABULOUS nail salon and they treat all customers like family! I haven't been in a bit and as soon as i walked in they all yelled out that they missed me! By name! You can't find a better salon with such great prices! The first 2 experiences were okay, the guys were rude, and seemed like they didn't want to do anyones nails and rushed them. I shrugged it off, now the last time I went, the lady cut me 2 times and she said sorry but it didn't seem like she really meant it. I told her the shape I wanted and how long, she failed to make it shorter the way I wanted it and the shape wasn't even close to the way I wanted even after I showed her the picture 4 times. When I complained the next day because of my finger continuing to hurt, the manager barely cared, they "fixed" my nails but were so rude about it and when they were "done" the guy asked me "Are you happy now?" I've tried Upscale 3x now. Your experience differs depending on who helps you and how busy they are. One time was slow and I felt I was better taken care of and then the other two times they were busy and I was rushed and now real happy with how my nails looked. All 3 visits I had a mani and pedi done. Communication is pretty much impossible - none of them speak english very well. I've noticed some patrons were offered drinks - one time I was, the other two times they didn't. They aren't consistent with anything. My last visit I decided not to come back - the nail tech was on her cell phone the entire time she did my pedi cure and the girl doing my mani talked to the girl at the next station the whole time. There are too many salons out there that I'd rather give my money to and feel like I was being cared for. read more

This has been the best pedicure I have ever had in my life!! The massage chairs are amazing .... and the pedicure was top notch. Highly recommend the green tea pedicure , it is $45 and comes with hot towels, hot stones, and paraffin wax. The massage pedicure part lasted about an hour and the painting part took about 5 minutes. He is very meticulous, and my nails always last at least 2 weeks. He is also very personable. The wine and margaritas are a nice touch also. I'm torn. Best set of nails I've ever had, but I too had a pedi done with my daughter while in there. We went in a Saturday and it was very, very busy. I watched as one after another customer left the pedi bowls and they went uncleaned. There was an older gentleman who walked around and would spray the bowl down with some water. He then filled the bowl back up and put a couple of pumps of soap in. The next customer would sit down as Im sure I did, unaware. I really think someone needs to inspect this place. My mom and I have been going to this salon for almost 2 yrs now and we love it! I go to Stephanie, my Mom goes to Simon and we won't go anywhere else. Their pedis are wonderful!! They are very busy at times but what do you expect when you go in on the weekends? Of course during the spring and summer they're going to be busy with mainly pedis so we always schedule our appts on weeknights. I feel they are reasonably priced and am just happy to finally find a salon that I don't have any problems with and/or feel are overpriced. Their deluxe pedi is just as good as the $55 ones and if you're on a timelimit, they'll do your mani/fills right there at the pedi chair at the same time...and they still come out as great as if you sat up front at the stations. read more

AWFUL!!!! I got an acrylic fill with gel polish yesterday and it's SO bad!! There are indentions and bumps all over the Polish, the Polish looks dull, the filing was horrific, and today 3 of my nails have cracks in them. And they charged me $45!! I'm definitely willing to pay for good job but this wasn't worth a penny! I've gotten my nails done continuously for years and I've never had a job this bad. I won't go back. Communication is an issue. Very little English is spoken here. The main/pedi was just below average. It took me 1 1/2 hours to get out of there. And that was for the no frills package. The tech insisted I give her a cash tip and I was to use the ATM. This was an insult. The ATM charges a fee to get cash and then my bank would charge a fee. I told her no I would put it all on my card. She said she did not want to pay taxes on the credit card??? I said fine. No tip and walked out. I won't go back. This place really let me down today. I go here often but tonight I went using the remainder of a gift card I got for Christmas. I had 52 left on the card and my service was 45. I couldn't understand why it kept declining so I had to call the TFN on the back of the card. Turns out they automatically charge 20% on top of your services which means if you tip in cash you're over tipping because they've already charged you at checkout. I always wondered why they didn't have a space where I could leave a tip when I paid, now I know why. Make sure you're paying what you intend to and if you're okay with a 20% tip don't tip on top of that. That's messed up. I'll be back but better believe I'm not "tipping" anymore. I got a gel manicure and a eyebrow and lip wax. The guy who did my nails was very patient and told me to take my time in picking my color and even let me change right before he painted them. I go to this salon pretty religiously every 2 weeks and have done so for many years. I find all of their nail technicians to be extremely good and courteous. The chairs are comfy (they just put in new ones) and the selection of different pedis like milk chocolate, cappuccino, tropical, green tea, lavender, etc. is amazing. They have a wide selection of organic pedis, too! They will do your nails and toes at the same time when they can (which is almost always). I have not made an appointment in years and get a seat pretty quickly. I love the owners, and all the folks that work there! read more

I just walked out of this place after sitting with my feet in the water for 30 minutes. My mother and I got there and a party of five arrived right behind us in a limo. She listened to my concerns from the past with other nail techs and gave me the color powder nail overlay perfectly the way I have been asking all other nail techs all along. I like getting the coffin shaped nails and I don't like putting a tip on my real nails. She is the only nail tech that delivered exactly what I needed and I didn't have to change a thing or ask her to fix anything! I won't be going anywhere else for my nails now. I only spent $35 on my nails where other places that I have been to that aren't to my standard have charged me $45. Nice atmosphere, GREAT massage chairs (this coming from a person who could usually care less about massage chairs, they usually do nothing for me).
