Really disappointed in my nails. To start, the nail tech took over 2 hours to do my nails & i'm not sure she regularly does nails there. My friend with me got the exact same thing done & she was done in around an hour with her tech. 3 nails have already broken off and it's been LESS than a week. I am not rough with them at all, 2 literally broke off in my sleep. My friends are still all intact. It is also cash only, and they have an atm in store but you can only take out in 20's. Wife & I was looking for another nearby Nailshop as the one I normally go to was booked for the day and appointments were not made ahead of time. I jumped on yelp and seen some good reviews so I said why not try this place. I was in need of a full set my wife only wanted a pedi. I went in with a certain way I wanted my nails to turn out and even though it wasnt exactly like the picture they still came out cute thank you Kevin he took his time and didn't do a rushed job even though it was quite busy. My Wife had a great experience her margarita was good, water was nice and hot and she was allowed time for her feet to soak and she gave kudos to the massage she received on her feet. I stopped by this nail salon for a fill and a pedicure. When I walked in, I asked for a price list. I was shown a brochure with prices but the nail artist informed me that the prices were wrong. The brochure stated that a fill was $25 but the nail artist said that it was actually $40. For clarity, I repeated $40 for a fill?!?! The cost of the fill was confirmed and I walked out. I would give this a 0 if I could. Walking in my friend and I got wine and the lady asked for our age which we are over age. Then the owner walks by starts speaking in Vietnamese about how I was lying about my age not knowing that I am Vietnamese. All they needed to do was ask for my id and they would had known. I went to Upscale Spa and Nails to have my nexgen nails removed, but I will not be going back! I thought this would be painless and quick, but not so much. My nail technician soaked my nails in a bowl of nail remover, that got my fingers stuck together multiple times, and would not remove the powder from my nails, so the technician preceded to try and POP off my nails!! I told her I had never seen anyone, but myself try and do that before. After working on my nails for 25 MINUTES, I asked if we could do the foil packets because that has worked well on my nails in the past. The nail technician replied, "but that would take longer"! I said, " I know, but since this is taking so long and my nails are thick , this usually works ". She got up, annoyed, and tried to find the foil packets. She sat back down with a couple of pieces of foil and grabbed a piece of cotton from another table. She then proceeded to take the one piece of cotton, and dip it in the bowl with the nail polish remover! She then rubbed it on top of each individual nail She then told me 5 more minutes of putting my nails back inside the bowl! After that, she proceeded AGAIN to POP off my nails when the dremel alone wasn't working. I told her to please not pop off my nails and that I had an appointment at 5. I had come in at 4 and it was now 4:30, she then decided to rush and started actually using the dremel in which all, but one of my tips broke off. The one last tip that just wouldn't come off, she, AGAIN POPPED off! The tip popped off the real finger nail, along with part of the skin!! I was furious!!! I was then expected to pay the full $10 on my way out. I was told that I should have mentioned I wanted the foil packets at the beginning when I walked in. Apparently, the way my nails were done, it takes time to soak them and take the polish off. I can't expect them to do this in 10-15 minutes. Really? The nail technician wasn't thrilled with the way my nails were done previously and kept saying that I had too many coats and I shouldn't do that! I like my nails that way and have always done my nails this way before and have never had a problem with this. I have also never had this much trouble getting my nails removed before by any nail technician or had it take over 45 minutes! Disaster, money and time wasted! read more

Like my previous reviews stated I have been going there a long time. I am no longer going to this nail salon. 3 times they double booked Tom and left me waiting for 20 mins plus, when I had an appt. They do not seem as interested in customer service anymore. I am not one to get simple nails like your basic pink and whites. I always want something different and unique. Don is my go to nail technician! He always above and beyond to give me fantastic nails! I am visiting Texas from Florida and I would definitely come here again if I come back to Texas! I just took off my acrylic nails and then I went here to have a gel French manicure done. She evened out my nails, lightly drilled, kept my length and did a really nice gel French on my brittle nail. She was very delicate but amazing! I am so happy I went here! I've had manicures (gel), pedicures, and waxing here...every time I have been pleased. Week days are slower but don't have any issues on the weekends just very busy!! I have been going to this nail salon since it opened last year. The interior is very nice and the staff mostly pleasant to deal with. But there have been some issues. I seem to be getting a lot of ingrown toenails after their pedicures. I have never had this issue before. Many times, communicating with your manicurist/pedicurist can difficult. And they can be very rough when handling me for nails or a pedicure. I think after this last session I will find a new spa. My big toe was injured and I am begining to worry about infection. Updated 7-18-09: Unfortunately, my big toe did get infected. I spent $400 dollars at the doctors office and pharmacy for a $45 pedicure. I have always been under the assumption that when you ask for a basic pedicure, they are supposed to leave your feet smooth, and that means using the proper tools. The salon wanted to charge me $5 to scrub my feet with a cheese grater. Are you kidding me? So I sat back and watched her do a halfway decent job after I told her no thank you and it ran me hot. This is my mother in law, sister in law and oldest sisters favorite nail place. I've been a few times and usually have gotten the chocolate pedicure. Usually I feel akward getting anything done to my nails and after another spa cutting my fingers I still refuse to get manacures anywhere. The staff is usually nice and they do a good job but I think the last time I went everyone who talked to me just was trying up sale or extra sale me. This is my favorite place to go to near Bedford. Granted, I've only tried about three other salons since moving here, but I was very satisfied once I found this place and have stopped looking. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the consistency. I always get french tips for my manicure and they get the thickness just right every time. I usually go in the evening and they always have enough techs to do my mani and pedi at the same time. If you go in the middle of the day on an afternoon you may wait a little bit. But this usually doesn't happen in my experience. One downside is that they don't allow you to tip on your card. You have to bring cash or use the ATM in the store, which doesn't charge any fees, but my bank still does. Seems kinda sketchy like they don't want to have to claim their tips. Who knows, service is still good. read more
