I had my family walk 9 miles today and so they were pretty tired after a full day of walking and sightseeing. Once we crashed back at the hotel, tired and starving, I knew I would have to find something close because I wasn't going to get them to walk anywhere else! I noticed this food hall next door to our hotel and so we decided to pop in and see if it was enticing to us. Really cool concept, different types of vendors offered great menus that included Asian, Mexican, Pizza, burgers, sushi, sandwiches and cocktails. My family mostly gravitated to the dumpling vendor, Tiger Dumplings. The dumplings were an awesome standout but the noodles and fried rice was also very good. I also tried a slice of pizza because it looked too good to pass up. Prices were fair for the portions received and the food came out fairly quick. There were plenty of tables and seating available both inside and outside. We picked to sit on the beautiful patio that overlooked the neighborhood. Everything was high quality and we had a fun night out. Now they just need to add a good soft serve ice cream to the hall and thwy would be whole :) Really cool place and a really cool concept located right in the center of Rosslyn. read more

Lots of variety here! Seems I thought it was a touristy spot but mostly locals and day work come here. It is conveniently located above the Rosslyn Metro stop but so easy to walk right past it. There are enough signs to guide up upstairs and there are enough places to sit even if you bring your own snacks to enjoy. It was done quickly although the pickup area is on the other side of the food hall. I appreciate that it's packaged in an insulated bag along with all the utensils you would need. Photos don't really do the food justice... I've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's never incredibly crowded, staff members are always efficient, and the food is consistently hot and generously portioned. Stopped by on Saturday right before 11am (when breakfast ends) for a latte, coffee, breakfast sandwich, burrito, and tots. $30? It's a steal. The food is hot and fresh. Lightning coffee staff could be friendlier (or offer the ceramic mugs when you specially say you're staying here...) butttt the coffee is great and affordable compared to nearby alternatives. I love the option to use the QR code at your table or head to the kiosk. They have SO many seating options. And the cold water tap - sparkling or flat - is a massive perk. I think they had a bit of a rough start but now this spot is certainly underrated. read more

I feel like food halls are the next best thing in urban cities. Compared to other food halls, however, I was left disappointed. The food options here were just okay... can't say much beyond the food quality was just alright. I will say the service was extremely fast - I think I got my drink 10 seconds upon ordering. While each food establishment tries its best to shine among their counterparts, it's hard to take notice how when the crowds aren't there, there's no incentive to try any of these businesses. What a great food hall! Stumbled upon this en route to the metro and I'm so glad I did! You can sit anywhere and scan the QR code to order from any place and they'll deliver it to where you're sitting. This was perfect for our group, as each of us were craving different things. Food is mediocre and wildly overpriced. Plant based options are pretty darn sad. I wanted to like it but always left disappointed, especially given the crazy amount I had to spend to cobble together a decent meal. One of our favorite happy hour spots as well. Love when it's nice enough to sit outside on their patio as well. Quick service by ordering from your table from any of the menus/restaurants. Self service water station that offers still or sparking water with bottles to fill and bring to your table. French onion soup hit the spot, better than I expected. Tater tots were a good size and good flavor with crispy outside and soft inside. Build your own burger was good, though we didn't love the fries. Soft serve was a nice ending though they were out of chocolate when we went, so we ended up with strawberry and vanilla swirl instead. read more

I've been to many food courts, but this had some unique qualities. First, it wasn't super crowded and there were plenty of open tables. Second, there's a QR code on each table. You can order from any restaurant in the building and put it on one tab! I loved this feature. All our food came out within 10 mins of ordering and was delivered to our table. read more

One of the better food courts I've been to. We live above a newly opened Wonder and that place is a disaster. I only recently visited Upside and was pretty impressed by how cozy and clean the seating areas were. On top of that, there's a Tony Baloney's! I lived near Hoboken NJ for a while and this was all the rave during Covid with all the innovative dish items they came up with. The oui oui is the best cheesesteak we've ever had in our lives - and this is after we just got back from a quick Philly trip. The French onion flavor was absolutely spectacular. The bar inside is a nice touch. We sat there while having our cheesesteak and some mutz sticks. There was a birthday party being set up (for an adult) which was tacky ah. It ruins the mood for everyone else. At least do it in the very back. I'll be back for the dumplings - we usually get them delivered from the same place but from their main restaurant (also in Arlington). What a nice option to have for those days when we just want to pig out while dressed as hobos. I'll be bringing our fur baby here soon - since the outdoor seating area is pretty awesome too. I'm a fan of food halls but this one needs a bit more variety. They have a couple of vendors making a handful of dishes but nothing really stood out, at least not in the 30-45 mins I spent going through the menus. I went with some of the apps from the pizza place - 2 small arancini for $9 on the happy hour menu and the meatball appetizer. Not bad, but not great either. The QR codes at the table make ordering easy and I appreciated the water stations with full size cups. The patio is also very nice. It's a great space overall, it's just the food that falls short. read more

Just an okay food hall. You can sit and order by QR code, and someone brings water, glasses, and your food. Plenty of comfortable seating available. When you order there is a mandatory service fee, and a fee for paying with credit cards (is there another option?) The food is mostly over priced for what you get (even before the fees), but I did enjoy my dumplings from Little Tiger Dumplings. Service was quick for some vendors but slow for others. I even got a text that an order was nearly ready when it wasn't. Overall not the greatest experience, but might come back because of the convenience of being able to order a variety of different options at once. read more

My son and I went to celebrate Chinese New Year with Little Tiger Dumpling and it was amazing! I loved the service from each small eatery there. The performance was spectacular and I'm excited I got to take my youngest with me who enjoys Asian culture. My son received lots of red envelopes with some goodies. We recently went back to use some of the gift cards. Now back to Little Tiger Dumpling the food was sooo great I spent a lot of money ! I also went to the bar and got a drink which was ok. I didn't really want it but wanted to support. I did recently visit and got a mocktail and it was good. While visiting they had small business in a room where they were selling amazing items. I forgot the name of the business I got a brownie from but it was tooooooo good. During our recently visit at upside on Moore we discovered that they had a rooftop and the views are amazing. A fully renovated and revitalized food court that's more airy and modern than the sad old Rosslyn mall. We came here for the night market, lion dance, and the grand opening of Little Tiger Dumplings. We also bought chocolate at a stand in the "night market" (a small room consisting of 6 stalls mostly selling crafts). You scan the QR code on the table and they deliver food to the table. Very efficient. You can also eat at the counter and watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen. The scallion pancakes are the highlight of the Little Tiger Dumplings. Nicely presented on a plat that was leaf shaped. Thin and crispy. Love the pink pickled radish on the side. Their Teibei pork chop noodle which was delicious. Their dumplings are as tender as well! They have a small menu of Taiwanese bubble teas. Nice touch. Chocolates from Just Ron Chocolate were very unique: among the flavors were yuzu, blueberry and herb. Majestic lion dance and really fun. I got the margarita pizza and dollar oysters. The ambiance was "panera bread" vibes I guess, there were lots of different seating options and I was comfortable. Food halls are trendy, and so is this location. But it has good variety, speedy service, and pricing is somewhere in between DC and VA. You order either at the kiosks or with the QR codes at the tables for dine-in service, and at the central kiosks (vs. individual vendors) for takeout, which you then pick up at the central stand (vs. individual vendors). You can review all the menus at the kiosks, or at the individual vendors' corners. I was happy to find Hawaiian fare, and tried the tuna tartar which was good, but the portion size/sides were rather small. The bar is good for happy hour: tons of seating, no reservations needed, food and bev minimum for reservations. read more

If you want take out, you order at the screens at the vendor. If you want to dine in, you find a table and order using the QR code. Tip well - they bring you water and your food! Stellina Pizza - Margherita pizza was so good! Pepperoni pizza was so good! Pepperoni pizza was a bit doughy and not very hot. The crust is somewhere between Detroit style and Sicilian. Kam & 46 - garlic shrimp over rice! Omg - so good! Order this and you'll be happy. Had a small side green salad and Mac salad. Reminds me of Giovanni's Shrimp Truck in Oahu. Such happy memories! Since they just opened, managers were walking around making sure everything was okay. The servers seemed a bit confused, but they did just open. They have QR codes on the table. You use those to order from whichever vendor(s) you want and they bring the food to the table. Dumplings and cannoli were really good. The burger was good but I'm not the biggest fan of potato buns. Loved visiting Assembly so was excited to see the new restaurants at the Upside. My Mom and I ordered from Kam and 46. We got Lumpia (this is regular sized, not Shanghai), Loco Moco, Pulehu Chicken, and Tropical Cake. Highly recommend the chicken and cake. The lumpia was good but tasted like a typing spring roll. You get 2 for $6.95. The Loco Moco was too salty and I prefer the version with hamburger and gravy. This had short ribs and very little sauce. The chicken was amazing! Fresh from the BBQ, it took longer than the other food but was worth the wait! The cake was also fabulous! It's a tiny piece but it's so flavorful that you don't need more than one for two people. The macaroni salad that comes with the dishes was perfect. Kam and 46 is a great addition to Rosslyn! I hope they change up their dishes periodically so we can try new things. read more

Always a good spot to stop by for happy hour. The sushi is very reasonably priced. My girlfriend and I have visited frequently during the week. Above the Rosslyn Metro, they offer free parking after 6 p.m. on weekdays even if you park before 6 p.m. Otherwise, find it through the glass doors right outside of the Rosslyn Metro exit. It's on the second floor with a rooftop terrace, lots of seating, bar seating, free wifi, murals, and outlets. It's a perfect place to work. The food options are superb. There's Lightning Coffee with a Spanish latte made with sweetened condensed milk. There's Ghostburger, Stellina Pizzeria, Laoban Dumplings, and more. Expensive (just under $16) for the tiny portions. The burger was smaller than the palm of my small hand. I could count the number of fries they give (20 individual fries some nubs). I actually choked on the orange chicken because of how hard it is because it was overcooked. I think it would have been better if they cut them into smaller pieces. The rice was hard and undercooked as you notice there were solid pieces of rice grain. The egg roll is good. When I went to pay on the app, it rounded up without giving me a choice, so that's weird. Overall, the location is clean and staff is nice. While I will try other places in this food hall since they have a variety of other food places, I would skip this. read more

What a fun spot! We have been wanting to come here for a while mainly for the pinball basement but for the food as well. So before pinball we ordered from Kam & 46, La Michoacána, and Little Tiger Dumpling. Everyone was very full and happy after having Kalamansi Fried Chicken, a steak, chicken birria, chorizo and octopus tacos, Tiger Signature Dumplings, Chicken Shiitake Dumplings and an onion pancake. Everything was very good! Lili was our food runner and she was fantastic! Made sure we had extra plates and napkins for sharing around the table and also snagged us a Togo box for our leftovers. 3.5 / 5 I really want to like this food hall but there's something a bit off about it. It is confusing to find upside because of lack of signage when coming from certain directions. Once inside you need to go up another level from a newly renovated but empty floor. I do like the mix of vendors and the ability to order through kiosks. Unfortunately this means that most orders are packaged to-go by default which increases materials used, including plastic straws. I tried Kam+46 and was slightly disappointed. The drink was refreshingly bitter and sweet. The spam musubi is made to order but because the rice is warm the seaweed becomes chewy and soggy. The Mac salad is underdressed and underseasoned. This meal was nearly $20, which is steep for the amount of food and the lackluster delivery. I think it may be a result of their location though since I have visited their food truck in the past and everything was much better. read more

This place it's a mess not like before! I work remotely very early here..always ordering breakfast. First: there it's no one at ghostburger never, having a breakfast sandwich it's a dilema, I always have to wait 15 or more for a simple sandwich. No one on the kitchen. No one runs it. Second: there is a lady with long hair and she use glasses, always passing eating and drinking coffee. I guess she is the runner? When she leave me the breakfast always gives me an attitude and show me faces. if I want something like more sauce..I realize she's talking with the Stellina lady or she is sitting on ghostburger. Funny. Third: every morning the restaurant it's dirty and not clean, why you have someone early to not clean and do his/her job? Terrible service, ambiance, and food! Not my work space anymore.
