Tiger Dumplings' Lunch Combo to go - Lamb Dumpling, side salad, and miso soup
    Staci S.

I came back again for Tiger Dumplings' Lunch Combo - my choice of Lamb Dumpling, side salad, and miso soup. This time I ordered it for pickup. It was done quickly although the pickup area is on the other side of the food hall. I appreciate that it's packaged in an insulated bag along with all the utensils you would need. Everything tasted good as usual. The food hall is always clean and there was seating at both the tables (indoor and outdoor) as well as at the counter.

Photos don't really do the food justice... I've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's never incredibly crowded, staff members are always efficient, and the food is consistently hot and generously portioned. Stopped by on Saturday right before 11am (when breakfast ends) for a latte, coffee, breakfast sandwich, burrito, and tots. $30? It's a steal. The food is hot and fresh. Lightning coffee staff could be friendlier (or offer the ceramic mugs when you specially say you're staying here...) butttt the coffee is great and affordable compared to nearby alternatives. I love the option to use the QR code at your table or head to the kiosk. They have SO many seating options. And the cold water tap - sparkling or flat - is a massive perk. I think they had a bit of a rough start but now this spot is certainly underrated.

I feel like food halls are the next best thing in urban cities. Compared to other food halls, however, I was left disappointed. The food options here were just okay... can't say much beyond the food quality was just alright. I will say the service was extremely fast - I think I got my drink 10 seconds upon ordering. While each food establishment tries its best to shine among their counterparts, it's hard to take notice how when the crowds aren't there, there's no incentive to try any of these businesses. I will probably return back due to the proximity of corporate offices, but I would not go for personal reasons

What a great food hall! Stumbled upon this en route to the metro and I'm so glad I did! You can sit anywhere and scan the QR code to order from any place and they'll deliver it to where you're sitting. This was perfect for our group, as each of us were craving different things. We sat at the bar and had some tasty cocktails while we waited for our food to arrive. The burger was so good I didn't take a picture (I was hungrier than the phone this time so it didn't eat first LOL). The servings were shareable honestly and I would definitely go back!

I'm a fan of food halls but this one needs a bit more variety. They have a couple of vendors making a handful of dishes but nothing really stood out, at least not in the 30-45 mins I spent going through the menus. I went with some of the apps from the pizza place - 2 small arancini for $9 on the happy hour menu and the meatball appetizer. Not bad, but not great either. The QR codes at the table make ordering easy and I appreciated the water stations with full size cups. The patio is also very nice. It's a great space overall, it's just the food that falls short.

One of the better food courts I've been to. We live above a newly opened Wonder and that place is a disaster. I only recently visited Upside and was pretty impressed by how cozy and clean the seating areas were. On top of that, there's a Tony Baloney's! I lived near Hoboken NJ for a while and this was all the rave during Covid with all the innovative dish items they came up with. The oui oui is the best cheesesteak we've ever had in our lives - and this is after we just got back from a quick Philly trip. The French onion flavor was absolutely spectacular. The bar inside is a nice touch. We sat there while having our cheesesteak and some mutz sticks. There was a birthday party being set up (for an adult) which was tacky ah. It ruins the mood for everyone else. At least do it in the very back. I'll be back for the dumplings - we usually get them delivered from the same place but from their main restaurant (also in Arlington). What a nice option to have for those days when we just want to pig out while dressed as hobos. I'll be bringing our fur baby here soon - since the outdoor seating area is pretty awesome too. Edit: as per the business' comment- only service animals are allowed. Lucky for us, ours is an actual service dog (not an ESA). Thanks for the reminder!

Love this little food court! They've got great variety and wonderful interior. VERY clean and well kept. Free water is available, very kind service workers bring to the table. Ordering is extra easy because they have QR codes on all the tables.

My son and I went to celebrate Chinese New Year with Little Tiger Dumpling and it was amazing! I loved the service from each small eatery there. The performance was spectacular and I'm excited I got to take my youngest with me who enjoys Asian culture. My son received lots of red envelopes with some goodies. We recently went back to use some of the gift cards. Now back to Little Tiger Dumpling the food was sooo great I spent a lot of money ! I also went to the bar and got a drink which was ok. I didn't really want it but wanted to support. I did recently visit and got a mocktail and it was good. While visiting they had small business in a room where they were selling amazing items. I forgot the name of the business I got a brownie from but it was tooooooo good. During our recently visit at upside on Moore we discovered that they had a rooftop and the views are amazing. We set watching the planes fly over the tall buildings and just people watching from the roof! I love this place!

A fully renovated and revitalized food court that's more airy and modern than the sad old Rosslyn mall. We came here for the night market, lion dance, and the grand opening of Little Tiger Dumplings. We also bought chocolate at a stand in the "night market" (a small room consisting of 6 stalls mostly selling crafts). You scan the QR code on the table and they deliver food to the table. Very efficient. You can also eat at the counter and watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen. The scallion pancakes are the highlight of the Little Tiger Dumplings. Nicely presented on a plat that was leaf shaped. Thin and crispy. Love the pink pickled radish on the side. Their Teibei pork chop noodle which was delicious. Their dumplings are as tender as well! They have a small menu of Taiwanese bubble teas. Nice touch. Chocolates from Just Ron Chocolate were very unique: among the flavors were yuzu, blueberry and herb. Majestic lion dance and really fun. It was fully interactive (see my photos).

Good spot in Arlington to use the free wifi, work on your laptop, and try all the diverse food options! The service was really good and my water was always full. I got the margarita pizza and dollar oysters. The ambiance was "panera bread" vibes I guess, there were lots of different seating options and I was comfortable. There were multiple other restaurants inside that I really wanted to try but I can only eat so much, lol next time!

Upside on Moore is a good spot for groups, which is often why I come here with coworkers. They have QR codes which is good for group orders. Tables are plentiful, and the menu has a lot of options given the various restaurants. Food quality and timing depends on the restaurant you order from so keep that in mind.

Great place. I love how everyone consider at one table and order from the restaurant of their choice. They bring it over to you.

I've only seen the area from the highways that are tree lined. I am quite amazed by how out of touch I was for this area. This mall is quite expansive. The one thing I love about the DMV area is that the malls are still thriving. Not to the point where every single store is filled, but no where near dead mall territory. I had some time to kill before I had to head back home and wanting to pick up some items. Parking here had me. I wasn't sure where would be the best place to park. I ended up in the outdoor lots and didn't even want to mess with the parking structure. As a note, early here means you will encounter a slew of parents with their children in tow. Be careful and mindful in the parking lot as they will be everywhere. The mall had a bit of everything in here. The typical anchors and national chains you would expect to find in a mall. Food court area was jammed with eateries and customers. I opted to not eat here. Would definitely come back. Especially on a lazy day. Good people watching, enough stores to grab whatever you might be thinking of getting, and ample parking.

Several stall doors were broken or wouldn't lock, and one restroom appeared to be used for storage with boxes blocking access. The downstairs area was dirty, with storage boxes stacked throughout the hallways and even a freezer sitting in a public walkway. It gave the impression that back-of-house storage had spilled into customer areas. Another concerning issue was that there was an equipment/server rack sitting wide open outside the restroom, which didn't seem appropriate or safe in a public space. One thing that surprised me was the food hall concept. While it appears to have multiple vendors, they all seem to share the same kitchen, many of the same employees, and much of the same menu. It felt less like independent food stalls and more like a single restaurant operating under different brand names, where you simply order at different windows. The overall atmosphere felt neglected. Many of the employees appeared unorganized and unsure of the ordering process, and the service reflected that. The idea has potential, but the facility needs much better upkeep and organization. Cleaner common areas, properly maintained restrooms, and a more polished operation would go a long way toward making this a place worth returning to.

The food was quick to get and decent quality, although a little overpriced considering how low key the place is. I visited on a Thursday around 6 PM. The place has a bar and bakery near the front, which I didn't check out. In the back are ~5 food stalls and each has signs for different vendors, but in reality it didn't seem like all the vendors were still operating. It was hard to tell because all the stalls share the same menu and you order from the same place (two tablets near the front). Tonkotsu Ramen (~$16) and Scallion Pancakes with Beef (~$11). They were prepared quickly. I expected the pancakes to be twice as large for the price. They tasted fine, I liked them. The ramen was served with broth on the side and came with pork, eggs, corn, bean sprouts, and a few other bits. It was pretty good but nothing special.

I think what happens is that I mindlessly walk through here as I use it as a passageway. I need to start paying attention to what is in here and keep note of it. Basically this is a mall. Like every mall just about everywhere, they are without some businesses. But, I will say this about the DMV area, even with some shops being empty, the malls still know how to draw people in. Even if it is just for the food options. This place has a ton of food options and some of the places in here are the only place in DC to find them, or at least a place where it is fairly easy to get to in order to visit the business. They got the run of the chains you would see in almost any food court. Charleys, Five Guys, Jamba Juice, Moe's, Panda Express, Starbucks, Subway, etc. But there are a lot of mom and pop stands mixed in. You can definitely find something for your lunch or a quick snack. This is one of the only places I have seen a Church's Chicken in the city. It can be a maze walking through here, especially if you arrive via Metro. But like I said, it is a great passageway to get yourself to areas without having to be outside. With the Spy Museum on the one end it's a great place to spend a day in the city. The Wharf not too far either. There are a few shops throughout as well. Mostly open during daylight hours if you need to grab a thing or two.
