Instead of handling the situation politely or offering any kind of reasonable explanation, I was treated like I had done something wrong simply for living in the area. As a paying customer, being turned away simply because of where I live was frustrating, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable. Policies like this should be clearly stated up front instead of surprising guests at the front desk after they've already made plans. Because of this experience, I will never rent a room from a Best Western again--even when I'm traveling on the road. Customer service and transparency clearly aren't a priority here.

The AC unit made some weird sounds but we were tired enough we all fell asleep ok. They offer a complimentary breakfast which makes it super easy and quick with the kids. They had the usual offerings- fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, eggs, sausage, croissant breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, pastries and waffles. First off, I was in the cleaning industry for over 25 years and I know the difference between a clean room and a dirty one within seconds. So, I took the liberty to fully inspect the room and I made notes for this review. We spent over $200 for one night and it's honestly top five of the nastiest rooms I've ever stayed in. Upon walking into the room, the air in the room even felt dirty so, I knew I was going to have a bad night. There was a fly infestation in our bottom level hotel room, we killed at least 12 flies in the room on the one night that we stayed there. We came in from dinner and I saw multiple rooms with their doors wide open, the tenants were smoking in the doorways of their rooms, and they had their crusty clothes drying on the railings, not a good look. The hotel felt very unsafe, type of hotel you don't want to walk around at night. Sheets were musty and not fresh. Towels were rough and stained. Shower curtain was moldy. Three extremely long black straight hairs were all over the shower chair. Crusted blue soap on the shower soap dish and shower hose. Hair all over the shower floor. Poop crusted in the toilet bowl. Blood on the comforter. Stains all over the furniture. Dusty tables. Dirty refrigerator with food particles all in it. But, what made me the most upset was the dirty floor. There was no carpet in the room, so the main flooring was vinyl. It was never vacuumed or mopped before we checked in. I know this because, I made three passes in my white socks from the bathroom area to the couch to move our luggage and my socks turned black with dirt and grime immediately. After the kids took their showers they walked from the bathroom to their bed and their feet were black with dirt. Thankful I always bring towels from home so, we used the spare hotel towels to make a pathway for them to walk on to the bathroom. The level of filthiness in this hotel room could have made my family and I extremely sick. We were so turned off by our stay here that we didn't even eat at the free breakfast buffet. We had a long drive home, it would have been very annoying to have gotten diarrhea. Needless to say, my family and I will never stay here again. If anyone ever asked me what hotel to avoid in the area, I'll mention yours.

When we arrived, the front desk informed us that the entire building of room had no heat - the heating components were out of order -- and with nighttime temps dipping into the low 40s, that was completely unacceptable. I asked if they had any alternative options, and we were offered a "handicapped king suite with a sofa bed." We accepted, hoping it would at least meet the basic description of what we booked. When we got to the room, we quickly realized the "sofa bed" was not a sofa bed at all. It was a tiny, uncomfortable couch (as pictured below). I went right back to the front desk to explain the issue, only to be told that they don't actually have sofa beds at all -- just couches that "people sleep on." Completely misleading and unacceptable. On top of that, the king bed was extremely soft, sagging, and offered zero support. The entire room felt old, outdated, and neglected. After just 30 minutes of trying to make it work, we checked out and found a different hotel. Save yourself the headache. This place is absolutely not worth your time or money.

This hotel is alright; it is kind of in the middle of nowhere without much to do near it. We stayed here as we wanted to visit the Grand Canyon Caverns near it. Prior to arriving to the hotel, I did not realize it sits directly in front of a train track. A train goes by once every 30 minutes or so. They have a box of ear plugs at the desk if you need them. While the train horns did wake me up, I drifted back to sleep quickly listening to the train on the tracks. Surprisingly we all had a decent night's sleep, but I know some people would absolutely hate the train tracks being right behind their room. Be aware unless you have Verizon or log into the hotel WIFI, your phone WILL NOT work here! We had zero service so we couldn't call or text anyone if we needed to. The hotel does have a small pool and a hot tub which were nice to use. They also have a small gift shop and a restaurant attached. The biscuits and gravy was delicious for breakfast. Breakfast is not included though; you will need to pay for any food you are wanting.

For 36 years I had a professional relationship with our Nation's tribes in Natural Resource Issues; farming, grazing, transportation, forestry, wildland fire, fire rehabilitation, forest and woodland fuels. Tribal business sense and economic development skills have grown, developed and steadily appeared. In 1981, two Traditional Elders of the Yakama and Wanapum Bands of the Columbia River said, "...We're gonna Indianize you chris..." That has happened no matter where my feet landed. Because I was formally introduced to the Baha'i Faith by a Yakama Tribal member, signing my "declaration card" on the Yakama Nation, I have participated in sharing and discussions many of my "Last of the White Guys" co-workers never knew. My views toward "Indian Country" are weighted to the positive side. I see the positive, not so much the negative. I know the distance traveled since my wife's mother was removed from her home, age 7, and trucked to the Truxton Canyon Boarding School, later to the Phoenix Indian School. That is why we booked our stay here on TripAdvisor. We ended up driving more than our planned 6 hours per day, arriving 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May, 23, 2026. We called ahead as the sky darkened. Our room waited, reserved as contracted. What did we expect? Comfortable bed, bathing and brushing, some rest, a morning meal. Be advised, Peach Springs is the source of "The Peach Springs Oscillator." The Pacific Railroad Act of 1862, "An Act to aid in the construction of a railroad and telegraph line from the Missouri river to the Pacific ocean, and to secure to the government the use of the same for postal, military, and other purposes." To sweeten the pot for railroad builders, the U.S. Government granted every other 640 acre, 1 square mile "section" of land five miles either side of the railroad right of way. The route of the 1855 railway survey passed through the Traditional Use Area of the Hualapai People. December 8, 1941, the Hualapai People won their right to their aboriginal lands in the U.S. Supreme Court. https://www.fjc.gov/history/spotlight-judicial-history/hualapai-and-aboriginal-title The flattest part of Hualapai lands are the right of way for the Union Pacific Railroad. In booming rcomomies, a train every 20 minutes. Slowing economies, mote time between trains. Our economy is slowing in 2026 - at least in goods hauled by railroad. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we'd stepped back into the Wild West. The ranch is small, quaint, family-run, and surrounded by the Arizona desert. The sand, cabins, horses, and Western décor make the entire experience feel authentic. What I loved most was that this isn't a huge tourist attraction with hundreds of people running around. There were only seven guests during our stay--and four of them were us! That made everything feel personal and intimate. The family and staff were wonderful. J.P., Trish, Tristan, May, Claire, Theresa, Peggy, and Elvis, the chef, made us feel welcome from beginning to end. They were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to enjoy sharing their ranch with us. And I can't forget the next generation--little Miss Kinsley! She was an absolute delight: friendly, personable, comfortable interacting with the guests, and cute as a button! The family even eats meals with the guests, which makes you feel less like you're staying at a business and more like you've been welcomed into their way of life. The experience is all-inclusive. Our stay included lodging, meals, drinks throughout the day, and activities. You receive dinner on arrival day, breakfast on departure day, and three meals daily during your full days. Sodas and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Activities include horseback riding, wagon rides, mountain biking, archery, horseshoes, billiards, swimming, and more. And we got to SHOOT! The Western-style shooting experience with old-fashioned revolvers and rifles was one of our FAVORITE activities. Nothing says "Welcome to the Wild West" quite like that! Now, did I become a full-fledged cowgirl? Wellllll... let's discuss it. I GOT ON THE HORSE! That deserves recognition! But once I realized there was no steering wheel or brake pedal and I was basically putting my life in the hands--or HOOVES--of this horse, I politely decided horseback riding wasn't for me! I skipped the approximately 45-minute trail ride, but the rest of my birthday squad went and thoroughly enjoyed it. I may not have ridden off into the sunset, but I GOT ON THAT HORSE. We're counting it! Now, THE FOOD! The food was TOP TIER. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was different. We had everything from prime rib to pasta and roasted chicken, along with salads, breads, and other dishes. And Chef Elvis? That man was doing his THING! The food was one of the highlights of our stay, and they were very accommodating with individual dietary requests and preferences. What ultimately pushed Stagecoach Trails from a solid four-star experience to FIVE STARS was the people. Their warmth, hospitality, and personal attention made the experience special. This trip also reminded me that every vacation doesn't have to be a TURN UP. Every trip doesn't need lights, cameras, parties, crowds, and chaos. Sometimes you need desert, horses, good food, good people, and some PEACE AND QUIET! We flew into Las Vegas and drove roughly 2-2 1/2 hours to the ranch. They go out of their way to accomodate their guests, from horseback riding to adventures in military humvees. My 11yo daughter is an experienced rider, but my 7yo son has never ridden, and they planned rides that were fun for everyone. You can do two rides a day if you want, which my daughter and wife did. My son and I chose to ride once and spend the rest of our time finding old military relics with the metal detectors, swimming and trying our hand at archery. My favorite aspect was that it felt like a real ranch. I felt totally comfortable letting my kids explore the ranch with new friends while I relaxed. They do family style meals at 9am, 1pm and 7pm which felt special. We will definitely go back, but next time we'll stay a little longer!
