I must say, her customer service skills are so laughable; I thought I accidentally stumbled into a stand-up comedy show. Leslie's idea of customer interaction seemed to be a poorly rehearsed slapstick routine, complete with eye rolls and sighs that could rival a deflating balloon. But wait, there's more! The real sideshow was witnessing Leslie treat her employees like yesterday's garbage. I half expected a sad trombone to play every time she opened her mouth. The way she barked orders and rolled her eyes at the poor souls working under her made me wonder if I had mistakenly joined a sitcom about dysfunctional retail management. And let's not forget the grand finale - Leslie's leadership style, which is about as effective as juggling flaming bowling pins blindfolded. If being a clown were an Olympic sport, Leslie would be a gold medalist. Unfortunately, this is a clothing store, not the big top, and her antics are more likely to make customers run for the exits than stay for the show. Uptown Cheapskate you should be proud - you've truly outdone yourselves in hiring a manager whose leadership skills are a punchline waiting to happen. They buy most of my items and While you wait for your buy to be done you get to shop and looK at all the newest trends of today! I love shopping here! Such a great selection and if you have the time to look, you can score some amazing deals. I'm in the entertainment industry and I love flashy clothes and I don't like to wear the same thing too often. So this store really affords me to have a huge wardrobe without going bankrupt. I just got a bag full of clothes for the price I pay for 1 or 2 dresses at the boutique. Ooh, and after I wear it a time or two, I can sell it back to the store for a store credit and shop some more. Now, I will say that they don't pay out what you'd expect, but that's how they are able to keep the prices so low. So do keep that in mind. read more

I LOVE this resale Boutique! So much better than the competitors in our area! The wonderful ladies who were working tonight were so sweet, helpful, and super knowledgeable. I was only in the store for 30 mins and each person working asked if I needed any help, answered any and all my questions, and helped my boyfriend when he needed a dressing room. Uptown also has an exceptional selection! Anywhere that has 30 to 40 pieces lululemon all between $14.99 to no more than $50.00 and my boyfriend can find his favorite BKE jeans FOR $21.99 is def. my go to clothing store! The staff are fantastic. They are always very helpful, and have a great sense of humor. For example, tonight some and stranger swiped a favorite pick when I turned around to try on a jacket. When I told the lady that she had grabbed my favorite find of the day, she remarked "awe"- in a too bad so sad manner!!!! the staff and I had a quick chuckle, and went on to close me out. This is my favorite new go-to for clothing thrift shopping! The store is always very neatly organized with clothes by type and SIZE instead of just similar colors thrown together. Everything is marked very clearly. Always a great selection of cute stuff in very good condition. Prices are very reasonable and return policies are a nice bonus. Also a good place to sell your clothing for store credit or cash. Staff is always super nice and helpful. Always a fun adventure going here! read more

great experience! I came in to sell some items and got $31 store credit. I looked around to shop and ended up getting a puffer coat, beanie, jeans, cargo pants, and some leggings. after store credit I only paid $13 for all of that out of pocket. the items are more expensive than plato's but you also get more $ for selling than plato's. I also prefer the ambiance too, the store is organized, clean, and has great fitting rooms! read more

They don't make their 30-day exchange policy clear at all. When I tried to return my item (tags still attached), I was denied and told the policy was printed on the receipt -- but it was in tiny print on the front, almost unreadable. When I asked for a manager, the same young woman said she was the manager. She came across as rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. Experiences like this really hurt customer trust. read more

Uptown Cheapstakes is a perfect place to go to donate your gently used clothes and shop for an outfit or two! I brought in some items to donate and shopped around as I waited for them to look through my items. The decor is unique when you walk in and the staff is very welcoming. Service is great here. They always have the new trends, and as a millennial I surprisingly feel comfortable shopping here. Mothers and daughters can both shop at the same time which is nice. The selection was really good! The young lady that was working the dressing room was so nice, I think her name was Kimmi. My pre teen daughter is between sizes and I was able to find jeans from her fave brands without breaking the bank and found me a few items!
