Dear Urartu, I'm sitting here waiting for my postmates order. I emailed/contacted support to let them know about the substitution, and that it's ready for pickup. I wait, and wait, and even called u guys to update u. Like u said, my order is ready. I email them again. Next thing I know, they cancelled my order. Their automated text message that I received doesn't work. Won't even let me put a note. Anyway, hope Postmates fix the issue. I'm still waiting for my drinks and avocado sandwich since I can't leave my home because i have a newborn. Anyway, I appreciate your customer service. Hopefully this weekend I get to try the said sandwich and drinks. This place is a gem. We just moved in down the street and were looking for a quick cup of coffee. But of course we found something WAY better. The coffee was fresh, hot and delicious and the proprietors were extremely friendly. The food was what took it from a 5 star to 5 star plus. This is family run Old Armenian Boys Coffee joint. The couple who runs this place are a cute pair and both very nice and frequently asking me how I was doing and how my food and coffee were. The Armenian old men get together during the weekday afternoons and just lounge and have coffee outside. Not a bad way to spend a weekday afternoon. Unfortunately, the other side of the street facing the Americans is a bit livelier, which is not a bad feature. This is a cosy shop and the ambiance seems to be missing as there is no music and all you hear the entire time are the legs of chairs moving, fingers pounding on the key board and Armenian chatter from outside. The food and coffee are average, perhaps a bit over priced for what I had. And the prices are confusing because they have special deals if you buy coffee and sandwich or you can order a la carte, and some sandwiches are similar description but vary in price. The owner is such a friendly, personable guy! Very welcoming and super nice. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease, even if you are a newbie like myself. There are lots of regulars that come here too. The owner was shaking just about everybody's hand and saying that it was nice to see them again. I didn't recall anything from Yelp about any outstanding drinks, so I asked him what their most popular drink is. He told me the White Mocha something something and the Caramel Macchiato. I got the latter, medium, $3.75. I think it was quite pricy, which is a negative for little ol' poor me. It tasted very good though, not too sweet, not too hot, so you can drink it right away. Free wi-fi, free 90-minutes parking in the nearby structure (located right behind the row of shops/restaurants on Maryland Ave. I wish it was 2 hours of free parking. I would've stayed longer! I hate paying for parking, as everyone else, I'm sure. There is Top 40 music playing in the background. There are 2 computers in the back corner. I think you can pay to use them/the internet. I came to catch up on reading for class. I was the 3rd or 4th customer in there. By the time I left, the place was full, including the tables outside. It's a popular place! I sat near the middle/back area and it wasn't as bright as I would've liked. It was a tad too dark for my reading, but still doable. It's best to sit up in the front by the windows, but those seats were already taken. Overall, it was a good place to get some work done, with some distraction. So if you need complete silence and no movement, go elsewhere. If you are flexible, this would be a nice place to check out..at least for 90 minutes. read more

We stopped by here on the morning of Christmas Eve. Most places were closed so this place was a lifesaver. The interior is very cozy - bright colors and well decorated. I ordered a ham and veggie scramble. Took about 10-15 min to come out but it was def worth the wait. The scrambles here come inside of a HUGE croissant. Perfect texture, very generous portions... nothing bad to say about it. They make everything fresh on the spot. Eggs were delicious and had the perfect balance of ingredients. Will for sure be back next time we're in the area. The only thing that wasn't that great here was the cold brew that we ordered. It tasted almost powdery... not smooth at all. Really cool low key cafe behind the hustle and bustle of Brand Ave. They blend their juices on site and the carrot/orange juice was really good. Good choice for some extra healthy fuel before or after LA Fitness. Some of the pastries look delicious and I can't wait to try them out again. read more

I almost walked out of this place because it seemed so small and uncomfortable for the time I was planning to be there (at least 3-4 hours) and do work. Within half an hour there with my friend, I was SOLD. We found our "spot" to sit and do work, then came back 2 days later. The service is nice and the sandwiches (Tuna and Italian) are delish! A beautiful little family business with some incredible coffee. Urik at the counter was so amazing and so polite. I also enjoyed talking to everyone else who came from the kitchen in back. Smiles and great attitudes all around. Urik took his time to answer any questions I may have had about their menu. I got an extremely refreshing Iced Vanilla Latte with their wonderful coffee ice cubes for an extra kick of flavor. A great size for the price. The coffee was strong and tasty, wonderful consistency with the milk, ice cubes kept the drink cold with tons of flavor (it was never watered down), and the perfect amount of syrup made this drink amazing - one of the best I've had in this city. Very friendly. Ice tea refreshing, and the turkey sandwich delicious. Clean bathroom. The wifi was very slow that day, impossible to get on, and stay on, or I'd give it 5 stars. The owner reset the modem a few times to help all of us out, but the connection was super slow and unreliable. It's a small cozy place so get there early. This place definitely has a "hometown favorite" type of vibe, with regulars coming in and out and the barista making friendly conversation with each patron.
