I have been wanting to try this place for so long. I finally got the chance to yesterday with my friend Bernadette. I love Chopt, so I was intrigued to see if I would like this place better or not. It's located in Lane Parke so very convenient to me and for those that attend X4 or Ignite Cycle to get food after a workout. Bernadette ordered the Southwestern Bowl. I opted to do a create your own salad as it was cheaper at $9.50 a salad. I made my bowl with kale, quinoa, feta cheese, roasted corn, sweet potatoes, and olives. It was finished off with salt, pepper and cucumber tahini yogurt dressing. It was DELICIOUS! It was one of the best meatless salads I've ever had! I would order this combination over and over again. At $9.50, this is a pretty reasonable price for a salad. I have the Chop n Fresh app so I redeemed my $5 reward. My total after tax and tip was about $5.90. Yay! Now there were a few kinks to the visit. The staff was friendly and helpful towards me. My friend however forgot to scan her app to collect points. They said there was no way for her to earn points, but later on I checked her app and found a way she could contact support. Hopefully we can get her some credit towards her next reward. I'm not sure if this is the way, but I have been able to earn points at Chipotle and Taziki's when I contact support. They also unfortunately forgot to ask either of us if we wanted bread. I didn't realize this till later after we had left. I was looking forward to it! It looked like sour dough in the pictures which I am a sucker for! The falafel salad was like a green salad, with feta, tomatoes, cucumber, hummus, etc. it also had baked falafel crumbled throughout as the name suggests. The Sweet Bowl Alabama had kale, wild rice, sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, chicken, along with a few other ingredients. They mix the salad in a large bowl for you before serving so that each bite has a good ratio of toppings to lettuce. Over all it was very tasty, but also quite pricey. For the 1st time in my life, I ate an entire huge salad sans dressing! Found myself deciding between interesting establishments in a area last night. Walked into an extremely clean Chopped and was helped by a staff member. Ordered the Cobb Salad and added a few extras to the tune of $16. Ranch on the side since I was taking it home. The salad was absolutely delicious so I didn't add extra calories of the extra dressing I requested. The employee was so helpful I felt bad for not tipping at the awful Apple payment center I dislike. Actually it's cashiers requests for tips when they aren't a server getting paid less than minimum wage that I dislike. Anyway, I ordered a Tea so I could tip the employee. Great move because their Black Tea is outstanding even if it's unsweetened. They have Simple Syrup so all is forgiven. What's amazing is their salad is so much better than the $14 excuse of a salad I had a few days ago at The Battery in Homewood that I'm still hot about.
