Crab legs, shrimp, lobster, corn, potatoes and sausage...
    Tyra T.

Ordered online. The online ordering needs to be modified to choose wing flavor or write a note. I got lobster, crab legs, shrimp, lemon pepper wings, and the appetizer trio with fried shrimp, fried oysters and calamari. The seafood boil in the bag was ok. The crab legs were the best. The cajun sauce is not that flavorful and i feel like old bay was missing. The lobster was tough, maybe overcooked. The shrimp were decent. Wings were good and the fried shrimp were great! The fried oysters were a little weirdly breaded and just ok. Overall i would go back for the crab legs and try a a different sauce as well as the fried shrimp. In comparison to crab boss around the corner, I would rather go to crab boss for the crab legs, shrimp and better sauce. Will visit again.

Very very bad not what I expected. The shrimp was over cooked. The urban sauce was good. No full bar. And the supposedly manager turned bartender is the worse. The guy made a lemon drop with triple and vodka and did not fill the glass. Not coming back

When I saw the coming soon sign and the mention of seafood, I knew this would be a spot I have to try! I finally had the chance to order today and absolutely loved my food. I got the snow crab legs, corn, and potatoes in garlic butter. The crab legs are large sized and the seasoning was perfect, not overpowering at all, just delicious. Eventhough I got my food to go, the interior decoration and cleanliness of the dinning area was beyond great. Plenty of space for adequate distancing and comfortable seating. For years, I have tried the overpriced Crab Boss in Brandywine and can say hands down the Urban Crab Shack wins in taste, quality of food, quality of service, and most importantly price. The location is in the shopping center next to Starbucks. I would certainly recommend !

Newly opened spot in Brandywine, Md. I gave it a shot and it was a partial miss. The service was just okay. The waitress had to be flagged down numerous times and WE WERE THE ONLY ONE'S IN THERE. The food was blahhh. My scallops were over cooked, as well as the corn. How do you over cook corn?!? Ask them! Anyhoo, I experienced it one time and that's enough.

I found this place on accident! What a happy accident! It's quite chilly in the inside but once the food comes you forget that your hands and feet are freezing!! Lol Dakarai was my server and did an AWESOME job! His recommendations and honest feedback were great! I got the snow crab legs, shrimp and mussels that came with corn and potato's, with Cajun seasoning. I added a order of sausage as well. They give you PLENTY of food; I ended up leaving with a half of bag!! The only negative is that the crab legs were extremely small. I'm definitely going back!!!!

I was greeted as soon as my foot stepped through the threshold of the doorway. The ambiance is warm, Southern, and it gives the energy of a crab shack. I ordered a shrimp po boy, and the seafood platter which comes with hush puppies, french fries, fried shrimp & catfish. The shrimp po boy was literally chef's kiss! The juicy fried shrimp, coupled with the warm flavors of the romulaude sauce! My my my! The french fries covered in old bay seasoning, and the sweet tinge of ketchup! Man oh man! This meal did not last, a few minutes afterwards my plate was squeaky clean. Now, onto the seafood platter. The catfish transported me to the bayou with its flavor profile! It was juicy, meaty, and seasoned perfectly! The hushpuppies were so smooth and yummy! The fried shrimp were also dynamite!!! The french fries, yeah you already know they were tasty too! This meal warmed my soul on all levels. Let's just say, i'll be back soon! LOL! Cheers to good eats everyone, give this spot a go! You will not regret it.

Yo girl been trying to eat a little healthier and was looking for some baked or grill fish. This restaurant did deliver. The grill tilapia and broccoli was pretty good. The portion size was on point. My son wanted their crab cake burger which I had to taste and it was delicious. They offer mumbo sauce with their fries and it is banging. Got a nice little kick to it. The corn on the cob is so so. Its not bad but I just had better. Its too greasy for corn on the cob too. So confused about that. Any who, I spent $40 for everything which was reasonable for 2 meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cashiers here are super friendly which is always appreciated because its seems like people are losing basic manners. So thanks ladies for your kindness it didnt go unnoticed. Would I recommend this restaurant, yeah I would. Its not spectacular but its pretty good and you get enough food for the price. That itself is worth it. So go and visit so we can keep restaurants like this open in our community.

There are surprising number of chicken options here for a place called, "This Is Seafood", but not quite as many seafood options as I hoped. I was really looking forward to getting an order of fried scallops for lunch and I was a little disappointed they didn't have them on the menu. I decided to get the Combo #4: 3 whole wings, 6 fried shrimp, and my choice of 1 piece of fish and side dish. For my fish, I chose fried catfish and for my side I chose hush puppies. The combo also came with a fountain drink. I decided to mix their house-made lemonade and house-made iced tea and it made the perfect half-and-half. The wait wasn't too bad, as the food was being freshly made. It was piping hot and crispy when I received it. Those shrimp were huge! Some of the biggest fried shrimp I've ever had...And not those butterfly shrimp either. Whole shrimp, and the tail was removed so I didn't have to worry about accidentally crunching on one of the shells. The catfish was delectable! Perfectly seasoned, delightfully crispy, and absolutely melted in my mouth. So good. I'm coming back for the catfish if nothing else. The wings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy, but they were a bit too light on the seasoning for my taste. And the mumbo sauce tasted too similar to barbecue sauce. I did not like that, so I ended up saving the rest of the wings until I got home to put my own mumbo sauce on them. The hush puppies were also really good. I like that they were fried perfectly and weren't greasy... Even after reheating them. Overall, my lunch cost me about $25 and it was enough food for at least two meals. Can't beat that. I'll be back for that catfish.

I was unable to enjoy or finish my 90-minute meal because I did not like the sauce that was served, yet there seemed to be little willingness to accommodate or adjust the dish to my preferences. As a paying customer, I believe there should be more flexibility when a guest is dissatisfied with part of their meal. While the service was pleasant, the strict policies and unwillingness to make reasonable adjustments left me with a disappointing experience. I am not one to say this but I do not recommend this place at ALL. In response to owner: Thank you for the quick reply. I appreciate that you chose not to charge me a waste fee. However, I would like to clarify that this was only my second sauce selection change. My goal was simply to order something without sauce so I could enjoy the remainder of my 90-minute dining experience. Unfortunately, the meal did not meet my expectations and, in my opinion, was not worth the price. As a customer, I believe there should be more flexibility when someone is dissatisfied with an item, especially when reasonable alternatives are available. There are several other restaurants that offer similar dining experiences at a lower price point and without what I feel is an excessive gratuity charge. While I appreciate your response, the overall experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return.

I love a server who doesn't hover but always checks to see if everything is going well. She def rocked! I have been so excited to get on and share how incredible this place is since we left. My husband asked if I wanted to go back, within the week. This is *UNHEARD* of. I don't know if he has ever loved a restaurant so quickly and so MUCH. He's been craving seafood boils for a few days now, so he suggested we go this afternoon. We went around 3-4pm. The crowd was minimal, but still, there were probably 15-20 tables full. It's a nice sized restaurant , about the size of a "pub"/local dive bar. The hostess was really welcoming (no eye rolling or impatience!!). She greeted us with a smile and a kind gesture and promptly sat us in a booth. The entire restaurant was clean, whimsical and smelled like old bay and garlic. Great art and seafood accoutrements all over the walls and booths The music was 2000s R&B and couldn't have been more perfect. Our server was incredible. We were given two very easy to understand menus and a "basket" of popcorn! It tasted like movie theater popcorn , our cups which were paper cups and a paper table cloth which lent to the "crab house" vibe we love so much, "seafood sauce" (mayo based siracha sauce think, with old bay? - it's like a spiced Big Mac sauce), clarified butter, cocktail sauce, gloves, a garbage pail, crab cracker tools and plastic silverware, and wet wipes and bibs (which I used because of course I visited in a white shirt!) After no more than a 10-15 minute wait, we had our boils "Rocked and Tossed" right to the table!! Seasoning 100% covered everything!! We ordered: Freshly brewed, 1/2&1/2 sweet/unsweetened tea. (It was very reminiscent of Chick-Fil-A tea/McDonald's tea...the good kind!) Not overly iced. So delicious!! Husband: 1 combo boil with snow crab legs, sausage and extra corn, (comes with corn and potatoes), garlic seasoning and medium heat. His garlic sauce smelled to die for. Very well rounded, (I tasted it). It had sliced garlic in it and wasn't too salty at all. The medium heat wasn't too hot, but don't take my word for it, get the heat level you like. His crab legs pulled *perfectly*. The sausage was wonderfully Smokey with that crispy/crunchy edge. The corn was tender and juicy, not overly cooked and the potatoes melted like butter. Me: 1 combo boil with snow crabs and crawfish and added hard boiled eggs (also comes with corn and potatoes), "Rocking Bomb" seasoning (old bay, garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun). *I have never had crawfish THIS good in my entire life.* I genuinely cannot describe the euphoria I had with words, but I'll try. They weren't muddy/fishy. They absorbed the flavors so well, yet preserved the firm but tender texture of the meat. They were very easy to break into, just like the crab legs. Nothing got stuck or jammed. The eggs were a balanced addition, soaking up all that awesome flavor. I ate one half way through and the second at the end. Again, nothing was abnormally fishy. Seafood can, at times, taste a little too oceanic. Everything came out piping hot, but not so hot you couldn't tear right into it. Both boils were nice and buttery. We tried using the gloves but ended up tossing them. They have sinks right in the open so it is easy to get up and wash up if you get too messy. (The bathrooms are on the smaller side - with the women being two stalls, and I didn't see any others, so the extra sinks really come in handy). There was a very kind gentleman bussing tables. He was fast and thorough. He was very pleasant to us as we walked by him. Very courteous!!! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Literally nothing was bad. I cannot wait to go back and hope they stay in business for a millennia to come. I believe we found THE best seafood boil restaurant in all of Maryland!!

The first course, the ceviche paired with the "Blazin' Britches" cocktail, was a great start and immediately let me know this 5-course experience was going to be something special. The food and drink pairings were creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented throughout the night. My favorite courses were definitely the earlier ones, especially the shrimp stack and cocktails. The atmosphere felt fun and social, and overall the event felt worth the price. There were only two things I personally was not a fan of: the sea bass and the Espresso-Chino cocktail. The sea bass just wasn't for me, and unfortunately two of my friends got sick after eating it, one that same night and the other the next day after reheating leftovers. I only had a small bite myself because I didn't really enjoy the taste. The Espresso-Chino was also very strong, and I couldn't finish it. Even with those issues, I would definitely come back for another pairing dinner or special event.
