We moved away from the wall and partition until the manager came. By the time he got there it was by our table, the manager asked me to move so he could see and kill it. He then proceeded to go to the table that pointed out the roach and apologized profusely. He comped their meals, offered dessert, and even two double shots of Jack Daniels...and then walked off. I didn't really care about the comps, but a quick, "hey, sorry that happened" would have been nice to our table, since I had to move to let him observe and kill the roach. We finished up sitting away from the wall area in case the roaches friends wanted to come out and play too. Hopefully it's not a more widespread issue.

When he explained to her that all of both plates were cold, she finally came over to talk to us and briefly explained they had a new person in the kitchen. I was thinking, if you have a new person in the kitchen, how bad is it when they can't understand that hot food needs to be cooked in order to be considered "hot"? The second plates they brought out were "warmer" than the previous ones but not by much. It was warm enough to eat and it still tasted good, the meat still fell off the bones and it was filling. The "Texas Toast" is NOT Texas Toast, no matter how you define it. In the end, when a restaurant makes a mistake like that, they usually compensate the patrons for their mistake.
