I love this spot! Consistent and never disappoints! Best crabs spot, near me. The new garlic seafood pasta, is great!

Jumbo blue crabs

I love the crabs this place, jumbo size and fresh steamed. I live in Rockville, not close, but worth the drive.

Look at the claw on that jumbo male crab!

I haven't been to Yummy's since I moved from the area 10 years ago. My honey surprised me with a dozen jumbo male Maryland Blue crabs. As a crab addict, I eat seafood daily and I get steamed crabs weekly. When I tell you that these big boys were absolutely delicious! Meaty, heavy, well seasoned and ummmm, ummmm good! Instead of traveling to the Wharf, I'll be going to Yummy's!

saw a bunch of people out front, wanted to check out what the buzz was about. it's a no frills seafood spot. decided to have the shrimp and the fried croaker. both were really fresh. they give you a generous portion. the shrimp was tender and not overly seasoned and had a good crunch, which i enjoyed. comes with a small cole slaw. the bf opted for the croaker. super crispy as well. we ordered a burger for the road cuz we saw someone eating it and it looked really good. it was a solid cheeseburger. juicy, meaty, cheesy, not dry not overcooked. i appreciated that. just be sure to request ketchup packets. hit the spot even tho this is a seafood place. will return and try the crabs.

I purchased crabs from this place on 4/12/19. They were disgusting! At least 4 crabs out of a dozen were inedible. I found one with what I called BLACK lungs.(picture uploaded) I would not recommend nor eat there again.

Steamed Shrimp (deveined) medium

I was a little skeptical about this place, but my girlfriend said they had good crabs and she was right. We had female medium-sized crabs and they were very meaty/heavy. They were pretty good & very well seasoned. They were so good that I went back the next day & got large & medium-sized crabs & they sent disappoint me. I also tried the 1/2 & 1/2 as someone raved about in a previous post and it was on point. Now, the shrimp were ok and had a hint of lemon taste to them (they were deveined too). Overall, I'll be back for another 1/v2, & 1/2 & crabs. I was told the hush puppies were yummy too, so I'll be trying them next go round.

But because it is close to where I live and it was an Elite even I could finally take a part of I decided to give them a try! And wow was I surprised! The lady at the front was really nice when I walked in I was greeted and she took my order. I'll so glad the food was made fresh so there was a little wait which I didn't mind. I was able to snap a few pictures and grab my mango flavored lemonade which was slightly on the sweet side but still tasty. My order was finished in about 15-20 minutes and I left to get in my car. The bread was slightly sweet must have been a brioche bun which was toasted. The chicken was fried to perfection and the honey butter and coleslaw made the sandwich sweet with a bit of tangiest which made it great. The only thing I didn't like was that the cheese on the sandwich was not melted. So not sure if they just placed it on there right before but other than that it has great flavor. The inside of the establishment could use some updating...but other than that it's a great spot to stop and grab some food. and the hours are open late so if you get the munchies at midnight or even 3am they are open!

Once I arrived home, I checked my food and noticed several pieces of short, black hair in my food. This immediately prompted me to call the restaurant and inquire about next steps. The manager, Dwayne (dark skinned short, male) stated over the phone that there was nothing that they could do about it. Therefore, I went back to the restaurant and asked them to replace this nasty shit with something that was fresh (two everfresh juices). The staff does not know what they are talking about and were unclear on what to do about this issue. The manager did not care and was very dismissive about the food quality and stated that "accidents happen" to which I replied, that the staff should be wearing hairnets and inspecting the food that they send out that people are spending their money on. DO NOT EAT HERE. VERY UNSANITARY PRACTICES. The bathroom and environment inside is disgusting and the food is even worse. This made my partner throw up. Never eating from here again. If I could give 0 stars, I genuinely would.

We started with the **buffalo chicken wings** (crispy, well-seasoned, served with blue cheese and ranch) and the **Korean-style cauliflower bites** tossed in a sweet chili glaze with sesame seeds and scallions easily the table favorite. The **beef short rib egg rolls** were a fun twist, served with two dipping sauces and pickled peppers that gave it a nice kick. For mains, the **bistro steak with chimichurri and frites** was cooked a perfect medium-rare and the herb sauce was bright and punchy. The **shrimp scampi pasta** was creamy and rich with perfectly fried shrimp on top. The **steak Cobb salad** was loaded sliced bistro steak over lettuce with eggs, cherry tomatoes, corn, red onion, and blue cheese crumbles. Generous and satisfying. Don't skip the **skillet cornbread** it arrives in a Lodge cast iron pan, golden and slightly crispy on the edges, with a scoop of whipped honey butter that melts right in. Absolutely worth it. Do I blame the waiter? Only partially. Because with what we experienced as a whole, terrible management and terrible kitchen. Update: I don't know how to respond directly to you Ryan but unfortunately our party of 7 was only in town a few days to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. Truly though, the lack of service couldn't have been lost on our server or your mngmt that evening (unless we were just that ignored and overlooked sitting in the middle of your outdoor space) because it should've been made right that same evening with even a simple apology or explanation for the night as a whole by your manager. Hopefully our experience was a one time deal for you and it'll be lost in sea of 5 star ratings. But no thank you, we won't be coming back.

So, we decided to have breakfast here the following morning. Our waiter, Roderick, did a wonderful job taking care of us. He answered all our questions and made any changes we requested which made our meal more enjoyable. I had the avocado toast and eggs over medium. I loved my meal. But to be honest, if there's a next time I'll order eggs over easy. My husband had the Oat Milk Protein Pancakes short stack. He ordered a side of scrambled eggs. He was kind enough to let me have a bite. The pancakes were full of blueberries and pistachios. They were tender and topped with almond coconut cream. Mmmm. They were great! My nephew had the country scramble. It included sausage and bell peppers. It was all gone in a blink. My niece had buttermilk pancakes and eggs. She enjoyed the pancakes but commented that the eggs were a little over cooked. The restaurant is beautiful and located in the National Harbor area walking distance from our resort. All in all, Vincent knew what he was talking about. We enjoyed our breakfast so much that we'll probably return later this week for dinner. It's open until 11 PM! Y'all should come!

We ordered quickly and got an order of skillet cornbread, a crabcake, and shrimp and grits. Omg- so good. The cornbread was served with honey butter that made it almost desesert like. But the cornbread itself was savory, so there was a perfect balance. So good! The crab cake was unbelievable. So good. (Similar to what you would get at a pappadeaux for context.) Literally a showstopper. The shrimp and grits were really good too. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were sweet and juicy. The grits were good, but personally I like more cheese in them. But adding the crystal hot sauce made up for it. Just an amazing meal! Our server Luna was super friendly, hard working and we so enjoyed her! She is a real asset to this place! My cousin and I stopped by on Friday, June 12, 2026, craving one of our favorites--the pimento burger. As usual, we grabbed two open seats at the bar that had just been vacated. A waiter greeted us and said he would return after cleaning the area. Another staff member brought us water, and we waited to place our order. While waiting, I noticed a couple sit down at the bar near us. To my surprise, the first waiter immediately went over to them, took their order, and prepared their drinks while my cousin and I continued to sit there without any acknowledgment. I eventually asked the waiter if he was assigned to our section, and he confirmed that he was. I then asked why the couple had been served before us when we had arrived first. His flippant response was, "Because they're regulars." I replied that, with good customer service, I could become a regular too. He then shrugged and said, "They know management." Thinking I must have misunderstood, I asked him to repeat himself. He again said, "They know management." What bothered me most was not that regular customers were recognized. Great hospitality includes making loyal guests feel appreciated. The problem was the message that seemed to be conveyed--that some customers are more deserving of attention than others because of who they know. When I expressed concern, the waiter appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing it. Instead of clarifying or apologizing, he repeated the same explanation and shrugged off our concerns. At that point, my cousin looked at me and asked, "Are you ready?" We got up and left without ordering anything. This experience was especially disappointing because it was so different from the positive visits I've had here before. We came expecting good food and a welcoming atmosphere, but instead left feeling ignored and undervalued. I hope management takes customer service seriously and addresses situations like this. Every guest should feel welcomed and respected, whether they are a first-time visitor, a regular, or someone who knows management. Unfortunately, this experience makes me reluctant to return anytime soon. I can't say that I wouldn't recommend Succotash National Harbor, as I've enjoyed many good meals there in the past, but this visit left a lasting negative impression. To make matters worse, my cousin and I never even got the chance to order the pimento burger we came for .
