I went to this Urban Outfitters with my daughter yesterday and picked out some gum from the little bins while waiting in the check-out line. The gum is called Jawliner Gum. Well, when we got to ringing up our items, the gum rung up at $25.00 a pack!! I had two packs. When I saw that $50 on the screen & none of the clothes, I said, "wait a minute, that gum is $25?"! The lady must have been new or something because she had a problem ringing up the gum in the first place and had to get assistance from the guy working there. Well, I told her to put that gum back. It would be a cold day in hell before I spend $25 on a pack of gum. I can just go to the grocery store. So, when I finally got home I was curious about this gum and why would it cost so much. So I looked it up on Urban Outfitters website. That gum had a price of $3.50 per pack on the site!!!!! Atlanta will never out live the scammer city allegations!!!! I tell you!!! I'm glad it was me checking out instead of my daughter. She would have just swiped and kept it moving, lol. I say all this, to say ... check your receipts. Customer service was still great, beautiful store set up and all that. I just couldn't believe the lady was going to let me pay $50 for gum that came out the bins where everything is usually under $10. Thanks for letting me rant. read more

UO is a go to for gifts for me. I love their games and random unique stuffs. The employees are always kind and the dressing rooms are clean. Their sale section is sizable and their mannequin styling is always on point - I can never leave without something on a mannequin catching my eye. read more

Yesterday was my first time at this location, and I was pretty impressed with the selection of clothes! Everything was neatly organized and easy to find. The workers even asked if I needed help and assisted me with getting a fitting room. I loved the location of this store because there was lots to do around it, and free parking right out front. read more

Where else can I get everything from a Jem and The Holograms screen-printed tee to funny gift books, or cute throw pillows to Havaianas (the Best Flip Flops Ever!)?? I found my awesome pink horn-shaped jewelry holder at this UO, right after they opened. I love the more airy spaciousness of this store over the Lenox outpost. You almost feel like you're not at an uber-chain when shopping here. Nice staff, decent parking. A little weird to have a big store name like this in the Poncey-Highlands area, but with sales racks like they always have and the random goodies you're almost guaranteed to find on any visit, it's all good by me. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Urban Outfitters (UO). Coming intown from East Cobb when I was 18, I was surprised to see happy good looking people not wearing American Eagle or its snobby slutty older sister, Abercrombie and Fitch. In fact, the alternative options in Marietta were limited to Gadzooks, and Hot Topic--and it was clear that this was for the not-so-well adjusted and 'trying to make a statement' bunch. Anyway, I was immediately in love with UO until I realized that it was essentially neatly packaged thrift store knock-offs with a twist and a 700% mark up. So what to expect? The typical guy outfit here is Chuck Taylors, skinny jeans, screen-printed tee, sports jacket (sometimes with elbow patches) and topped off with a driver cap or if you're super stylish, a fedora. The typical ladies garb of the season is a summer ruffled shirt dress in a variety of colors and patterns with a vest on top and tights with cowboy boots. The concept of pre-packaged eclecticism is a little strange to me, but they're doing something right. And I won't lie; I actually do shop here when I get a windfall. I just can't resist the convenience. Now, the star rating of clothing shops for me will be based on service, layout and concept execution. I went the other day and said to a floor attendant, "Hi, can you help me find the tank top on this mannequin?" The lady looked around unenthusiastically for a while and then came back to the display. Hidden somewhere on the rack behind it, she finally found one and said to me, "If it's on the mannequin, it's usually BY the mannequin." Heh, thanks. This sort of service here is about 40%, but they're getting better. Last time I went, I was asked if I needed help twice, was greeted at the door, and told to have a nice day by the cashier! WOW! This location is neat, and well organized. The fitting room attendants are attentive, and while the women's sale section isn't as abundant as the Lenox Square location's, it's tidier and better-lit. They have a really nice home decor section it's big and FULL of clearance items. So even though when I heard that UO was coming to Ponce I did the exaggerated eye-roll at the thought of the new generation of East Cobb transplants (like I once was) and a groan at the rise of the already frustrating traffic at that corner, I'm ok with it...and hey, I can't resist the convenience. read more

Hmmm, what to say, what to say........... This location is new and huuuuge!!! I can honestly say i've never been to an Urban Outfitters store before but I was impressed while at the same time being disappointed. Impressed because of the size of the store and variety in clothing as well as shoes and little nick nacks they offered. The clothes and shoes honestly did not impress me. I mean so you have a pinstriped vest or a printed tee. Ehhh you can find that anywhere but I wouldn't pay $60 for a vest or a scarf for that matter. Such a small piece of fabric for a more than humble price which you could find at a more reasonabe price somewhere else. I did however enjoy the nick nacks, pictures, and other wall art they offered here. When I say nick nacks I mean a variety of books about the quirkiest things, faux parking tickets (I'm going to have to get these to scare my coworkers. I'm horrible I know but I get bored at work. lol) a gift box for you penis (yes I said a gift box for your penis. lol) and lots more. ...O oo the remote control for how to control your man/ woman. The instructions read 1) Point remote at partner 2) Press button to whatever command you'd like them to do and 3) Hope for the best. lol They also have great colorful items for your home and since i've got a musical theme at home they also offer framed posters of bands including the Police, Suzie and the Banshees, and so on. This is definitely a store i'd go back to to grab a great gag gift or an interesting piece of reading material or something for my home, but I doubt i'd buy anything to wear here. As much as I hate that this UO took over the old Plaza drugs, I can't help but admit that it's a convenient location for me. An easy spot to pop in and see what's new, or do a quick scan to see if they have that thing that I saw online and fell in love with. Luckily for my checkbook, often what I fell in love with online looks cheap and lackluster in person. I rarely, if ever, find pieces of quality here. Instead, it's a good spot to scan the sale racks to see if I can find something to trend-up my wardrobe for the season. Also a great spot for trendy accessories, although I hate how they're spread throughout the store. If I want a new pair of earrings, I don't want to have to check every mannequin to see if they're displaying anything cool. No matter, the service here is friendly despite the hipster appeal and while I certainly miss having a true local business in this architectural gem of a spot, I'm glad UO is here instead of another CVS. read more

Nothing ground-breakingly different going on within this four walls. Over the past year, I've been in several times for odd ends, weird shirts, headbands for my wife, and the ever-popular gag gift. Urban Outfitters is not only one of my preferred purveyors of heather gray v-neck shirts, but also keychain fart machines. Service is par for the course. Some friendlier than others, some more disinterested in helping than their swooping haircuts would care to communicate. Hey, I love Urban. My betrothed returned everything I bought him for Christmas at Urban Outfitters. Surprisingly, he was happiest with a $15 hoodie from Old Navy and a pair of industrial-strength earplugs from Sears. While I clearly never should purchase clothes independently for him again, he likes to ask for my opinion on items that he approves; we make a good wardrobe team. Luckily he found some things to use up the sizable store credit he earned - a couple pairs of slim Levi's in gray and black, along with a candy cane-striped henley and a black and red checked woodsman button-up. Everything on the sale rack had been reduced to an additional 50% off, but I still left empty-handed - all in an effort to change my lifestyle. Fortunately, I am not into the frump look that frequents the racks of so many overpriced stores. Still, I had a hard time not buying a warm gray coat with a faux fur-lined hood and a fuchsia silk lining bespackled with evergreen trees and squirrels. I've never gone crazy over U.O.'s clothes, but I dig the socks and accessories. Top lifetime U.O. purchases include a rotating earring tree with a bird on top (duh) and a snake bracelet on clearance for $5. read more

Dear Urban Outfitters, Please get out of my neighborhood. You are ruining it. Suburban teens and lazy pseudo hipsters and their moms clog the parking lots, the streets, the way to Publix and the RR. I commend you on your ability to mass produce clothing based on a genre of people who would never be caught dead shopping with you, and the 400% markup for the clueless. However, you are overpriced, of poor quality, and attempt to market individuality via a mainstream clothing store featured in malls. Complete contradiction. Hopefully, one day your shoppers will realize style, if they desire it in this manner, is better found at vintage stores, boutiques, Goodwill and even Vogue. Hopefully one day people will understand paying $35 for a mass marketed "vintage tee" is retarded and they should just go to the Salvation Army and get a real one of less moronic nature for $4. One hopes that in time, women will realize empire waist anything is not flattering, men will realize they should not wear taper leg jeans, and both genders will stop cuffing them and paying $75 for "looks kinda like vintage" clothing that is probably manufactured in sweatshops for teens around the globe. I have a love/hate relationship with UO. I'll get into that later though. With this store, I love the layout and how they keep this place relatively clean and organized, despite urban's reputation of looking like a total hot mess (see Forever 21). They also keep a pretty good amount of stock and sizes available. The staff here is really friendly and actually greet and try to help you out, which is a nice change from other stores I have been to where the workers are as dainty and lifeless as the models in their catalogue. Typically I hate the hipster vibes, the peculiar smell in every store, the super high prices for sheer, cheap materials, etc. But what I hate the most is that I can never wane myself off this place. I'm trying, but living right down the street from this location has not helped my addiction, especially when they had a 50% off sale items on Black Friday. I was able to get in and out of the store in 30 minutes and roll right back into bed. Ugh, I'll outwardly talk shit about this place and hate on it plenty, but even as I type this, I still have a UO tab open on my browser. Rehab will just have to wait. read more

I wasn't even sure what it was but NOW I understand where hipster Art Executives for major conglomerate companies buy their 50's style clothing. Funny, I was STALKING my kid's Instagram account and came across a picture of his friend that was wearing an AWESOME dress. Now I don't give 2 cents about the age difference, I was getting this dress! After commenting on the pic, she told me that she had gotten it from Urban Outfitters. Lone behold on my way to Decatur I saw the Urban Outfitters on the right side of the road. I jammed on my breaks and made a sharp turn in. I was giddy with excitement! When I walked in I was not greeted by an employee. Actually, It wasn't until about 10 minutes in when I walked in the back and ran into an employee that said hello. I went through the entire womens section and could not find the dress. Although they did have some super cute outfits at medium prices ($39.00 - $69.00). They had a sale area in the back that consisted of winter attire and some other pieces, but still no dress! All in all I think that Urban Outfitters is a pretty cool place. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to one of these stores but If in the area I would stop in and check out the sitch! My issue is the service. Not one person really willing to help me or even talk to me. I did have a couple extra bucks that could have been spent on some of the hip outfits. read more

I have frequented this particular urban outfitters several times just to "look." The last thing I bought here was a mini swiss army knife for my nephew. I don't know why I keep going back, the last two times may be my last due to bizarre and unsettling circumstances. Well actually the first was more humorous than unsettling. They let this lady come in with her pug. The dog was just running around the store and no staff seemed to mind. Until it shit all over the floor. I'm still trying to figure out why they let somebody in with their dog. It took a while for some staff member to actually get the nerve to clean the stench up. It was really funny watching the scene unfold, like they weren't really sure how to go about it, kind of gingerly walking around the turd pile trying to figure out the best way to go about getting that crap up. Now for the sort of unsettling part. The last time I went there,about t 5 cop cars were parked right in front of the store. Apparently a teenager tried to shoplift. I saw her pleading with the cops as they searched her wallet, "but I have receipts for everything." as her friends kind of stood there going "what got into you girl!" I felt sorry for her for being on display like that but shoplifting is shoplifting, even in urban outfitters. I have to say that I have a love/hate relationship with this place, it's so ridiculously hipster but they just have some cute ass shoes. This is a HUGE Urban Outfitters! It's a great location, right next to the Righteous Room and the Majestic. They have tons of home stuff, which I LOVE. Don't bother going in if you don't have time to look around. They have a huge sale area and tons of stuff on clearance! This one is so much better than the mall. read more

I heart Urban Outfitters and lucky for me...this location is close to my house. This makes it very convenient for me to stop on by, which I do often. Love their clothes (obviously), but their accessories (sun glasses, jewelry, purses, shoes, scarves) are fabulous. They also have a huge section full of funny books and goofy gifts to buy friends. There's never a time when I go into this store and not walk out with several new items I can't wait to wear. They do a fantastic job with keeping this location clean. Some Urban Outfitter's are super packed, especially in their sale section with clothes all over the place. This location has order and I appreciate it. The same goes for the dressing rooms. They're some things that I really love about Urban Outfitters, and some things that really piss me off. I love their display windows, and how they dress the manikins in cute outfits with the perfect accessories. I love their creative details, their graphic T's, perfectly patterned dresses and military styled jackets. Their store is fairly well organized and clean, and their current staff is friendly and helpful. Saying all this I rarely give Urban Outfitters my hard earned cash for 3 very important reasons: 1). They're usually WAY over priced for what they are. I mean really, who's going to pay $70 for a thin cotton dress with a basic print on it? It's just cotton after all. I can get something very similar somewhere else for 1/4 the price...which leads into my next complaint... 2). Their clothing is VERY cheaply made (well most of it anyways) many of the pieces on the racks have beads and buttons falling off. Many of the dresses have threads loose, and most of the materials are as cheap as they come, yet they smack top dollar prices on falling apart items. I bought a brown skirt here once, and the first day I wore it, the seeming completely came undone, the zipper broke, and the button on the top came loose. The skirt wasn't tight on me, I hadn't washed it, and I PAID 40 BUCKS FOR IT! Grrrrrrrr........... 3). Hm...how do I say this? Well they don't make clothing for... um... big boobed girls at all. I realize that most of the people wearing their clothing are between 15 and 25...but some women in that age group have boobs bigger than cup size C... and feel sad when their dresses don't fit over their boobs. Dear Urban Outfitters, There are these things called breasts, and they are generally on women, who would like to be able to wear your clothing, so you should design you clothing accordingly.. I am mad about this store. It's also super-close to my loft so I have found myself running there for the "little things"--layering shirts, a dress for a night out, a piece of jewlery, cool coasters, whatever. Let's get this out of the way first. The address listed on this entry is wrong, but it's the one the rocket surgeons at corporate seem to have provided on the website. If you go to this address, you'll probably end up in the parking lot of a church. Look up the Righteous Room on yelp if you, should you feel the need to go here. It's next door. And you can only make a right and not a left turn onto Highland Ave from there either, so don't even try it--unlike the last 2 dyslexic idiots I saw leave this store. Anyway my much younger girlfriend dragged me here. She was driving; I was not. And so it came to pass that I stepped foot in the Ponce Urban Outfitter and lo, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth. There were also overpriced t-shirts, stripey button ups (I guess snaps are SO 2007), and cardigans a-plenty. The books that aren't merely quickie lists of shocktertainment are good, if only because several of them are already in my bookcase. The toys and knick knacks are kind of cute, a Spenser's Gifts for the 21st Century. The t-shirts are knockoffs of '80s paraphernalia that would've gotten your ass kicked if you had actually worn them in the 80s. (This passes for "irony," these days.) A thrift store find is one thing; however buying mass produced knockoffs is the very opposite of said irony, unless these kids are going for some sort of meta-ironic statement organized through a FaceSpace group of which I'm unaware. And if that's truly the case, then I for one, will most gladly and most assuredly eat a bag of dicks. In all fairness, I'm so far out of this store's target demographic that they might as well be trying to sell me velour tube tops in Esperanto, but my aged self can still spot self-congratulatory smugness when I see it or, in this case, bludgeoned over the head repeatedly with it. Look, you may not identify yourself with that tribal tat wearing, spray tan, xTreMe sports lovin' douche bag on The Real World because you count Pylon as one of your favorite bands (and tell people you saw them early on, even though you weren't even born yet), but you may very well be the OTHER Real World Emo archetype that they cast on the show in order to get into fights with the aforemtioned douche bag. So get off your damn, hipster high horse and recognize, my brotha! And while you're at it, kids, off the lawn! I don't want your Chuck Taylors and your suede Pumas messin' up my grass! A newer, bigger Urban Outfitters...plus it's not in the mall! I purchase about 40% for my clothes at Urban, so a new location is definitely a good thing. With products comparable to those in the mall location, this store brings the joy of Urban without that headache of mall crowds. Well, what can be said about a chain store. Hmmm, it seems pretty much the same as every other Urban Outfitters I've ever been to. They have the same fake vintage shirts, paisley stretch paints, fringed whatevers and coffee table books. The main difference is that this one isn't in a mall. So when I have to buy a gift for my teenage relatives I don't have dread going to a mall, I can just come here. Another upside? The Righteous Room is next door. So after dealing with going to an Urban Outfitters I can get a drink afterwards. read more

First of all I really like shopping in Urban Outfitters. This location itself has won me over. I stopped by during the holiday season and I spent 3 hours in here. The sales were ridiculous! Or maybe this one is just THAT awesome to have dazzled & kept me entertained in its glorious walls for 2 hours. Great, unique, fun & useful items everwhere. I only wish I werent Christmas shopping then I could splurge on everything I loved in this store -which is alot. Also, the staff is pretty great. Megan is awesome, patient & sinfully helpful! If you're near midtown or Little 5 and want a calm yet rugged, artsy place to shop, shop here. I wasn't a fan at all. This was my second time in an Urban Outfitters and expected great things. I found a whole bunch of "cheap" summer dresses ($29.99 sales) and hoped I would even fit into ONE of them. Forget zipping up anything. If I even got something to zip up, it would hang shapelessly. Everything was extremely unflattering. I loved their BDG pants though. They fit wonderfully (SUPER confusing - anatomically, pants are the worst for me to find because of my generous rear) but were a little too low rise and the colors were way too neon. I'm not 18 anymore, so didn't think I could pull those off. They carried a variety of sizes, but I found that many of their tops/dresses were not flattering for busty women with hips. Additional things that I was confused about - $30 plain cardigans that were obvi made poorly, polyester items with no stretch, shorts that ended right below the buttocks. read more
