The Cranberry chutney is made to perfection & pairs perfectly with the Brie & turkey. I absolutely love the Soda Fountain. They have Batch Craft soda. Been thoroughly enjoying urbane for a fast healthy meal the last few weeks as my families schedule has been crazy. I order online for pick up or delivery and it's always ready on time or early. They have a deal right now after 4pm where you can get to bowls for $20 which is a great deal and perfect for me and the hubs Only complaint is shrinkflation, they definitely had fuller bowls a few years ago but with the bowl and the bread and the special deals it's still worth it in my opinion read more

I forgot to take photos but I would come back! When I first got here, it was only one other person but once I got my food and finished up, it got busy! I ordered the Mediterranean bowl and added chicken ($4). I do feel like there should be more chicken but overall the bowl was good. Only thing I would change is the tomato cucumber salad. For a sandwich shop, I was surprised that Urbane Cafe had such a delicious Tofu Banh Mi sandwich with a side salad (homemade balsamic dressing) at an affordable price. Came for lunch since the Everbowl is SADLY closed down. It's very nice inside, very very clean. The cashier cleans up everything quickly when someone is done eating in. Customer service was eh. Stopped by Urbane Cafe on our way home from Las Vegas around lunchtime (noon-ish). The parking lot was packed and super busy, but once we got inside it actually wasn't too crowded and there was no long wait, which was a nice surprise. I ordered the turkey club sandwich with a side of tortilla soup, and both were really good. The soup especially stood out it was full of flavor, not just broth, and loaded with meat and veggies. Definitely felt hearty and homemade. The sandwich was just as solid fresh and tasty. The service was great, and the dining area was very clean. I had never heard of this place before, so I'm glad we gave it a try. It kind of reminded me of Panera Bread, but fresher and a bit more modern. Absolutely love this place as a fresh and healthy option to your typical fast food place. It's always fresh with robust flavors and made specifically for you when you order. We came a couple of years back and then recently for a Yelp event and have been coming every week is so since that event. The place is very calming with low level relaxing music and the perfect temperature for me (a little cold for the wife). These sandwiches are best eaten fresh, however, their catering options are great for offices and other events. The rotating specialty lemonades are delicious, and the cookies are worth trying. This place is awesome! I have been eyeballing Urban Cafe for sometime now and I finally got to try them for lunch. Dropped by around 2:30pm and they were not busy at all. I was helped right away but their friendly staff and recommended I try the Pastrami sandwich. Their recommendation did not dissapoint! Their sandwiches are freshly crafted and it shows. Great quality sandwiches served with a really great side salad. Honestly I loved it! Would have to rate my meal a 9/10. Got a chocolate chip cookie to go with it and I loved how soft and warm it was! Cookie was a 10/10. Resteraunt was super clean when I went in and I loved the decor of the resteraunt. Super modern. Overall, can't wait to come back and try something else! I definitely have a love for The menu & selection @ Urbane Cafe. I actually eat there more than any human would like to admit. Cannot go wrong with the roasted turkey club and mandarin salad. Im literally obsessed with the dressing and quite honestly... no other balsamic measures up to it. (Please bottle for us that would love to enjoy on ALL salad!) and the Keto Cobb Salad is another BIG favorite of mine. Not on a Keto Diet.. it's just the perfect Cobb salad! Period! Don't sleep on the soup & salad either! The tomato bisque with a full sized mandarin salad is such a great healthy option for quick & on the go. Just learned about rewards program. Cannot WAIT to take advantage of that, especially with this being part of my dietary routine at least 3-4 times per week. The inside is very chill, relaxing, ambient lighting. The employee (Rosie) I had pleasure of dealing with on my last trip there was Such a sweetheart!?! I'm pretty sure I "checked in" at the one on California but I was at the one on Mt. Vernon I think? The focaccia was so soft and fresh, the sandwhich was so tasty. Tasted like a light Thanksgiving sandwhich. The arugula was fresh and the cranberry was a perfect blend of sweet and tart. We ordered the fish sandwich and it didn't disappoint. It consisted of baked barramundi, crispy onions, housemade apple coleslaw, pickled onions, tartar sauce. Served with Urbane side salad. Everything tasted fresh and paired well. The Urbane side salad was my favorite part of the meal. Dressed perfectly and would definitely order a full salad next time. The other sandwich ordered was the Pastrami Tri Tip pastrami tri tip, swiss cheese, remoulade aioli, housemade apple coleslaw, bread and butter pickles. Served with a side of Golden Mustard and the Urbane side salad. The sandwich was very flavorful and meat was tender. I preferred this sandwich over the fish sandwich. The bread was very soft on both sandwiches; ingredients were fresh and of good quality. We also ordered cookies with our meal. The cranberry white chocolate was our absolute favorite. Cookies were served warm. Crisp edges with soft centers, perfect. We also sampled the chocolate cookie, it was delicious but not my favorite. Restaurant was very clean and organized. I really like this place, Clean location, generally quiet inside with a great soda bar and drink area and plenty of seating inside and out , Food : I had the turkey cranberry Brie sandwich, and my kid had the Fish sandwich and both were very good. Honestly, it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time, turkey was warm on my sandwich. I haven't had that in a while, easily comparable to my favorite spots back in the day in Bakersfield. The sandwiches were the highlight, but then I discovered the craft soda bar and the selection of cookies. If I am being picky.. I personally prefer a chopped salad, the leaves in the salad were too big for my liking (I guess I could have cut it more myself) but that's more work anyway moving on. The sandwich and side salad meal was big enough that I didn't, my bad (couldn't) eat the cookie so I waited until I got home about 2 hours later to eat the cookie, when I tell you warming up the cookie in the air fryer 450 for 2 minutes or microwave ( 12 -15 seconds on high ) was a game-changer. It would do you well to go pay them a visit & take a friend. Urbane Cafe has officially become my new go-to sandwich spot whenever I'm in the area. read more

A great night not to cook. Our sandwiches were delicious. I ordered the Pesto & Sundried Tomato made of roasted chicken, basil pesto, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, arugula, vegenaise. My husband ordered the Southwest which was marinated southwest chicken, avocado, corn & black bean salsa, pepper jack cheese, chipotle aioli. Our service was great and all the employees were super friendly. The young lady who was working the dining area was pleasant to talk with. She was telling us about the owner and how he came to owning the business and the new things he's trying to introduce. The California Ave. location seemed to be a lot bigger than the others. It was very clean and seating was comfortable. Beware the parking lot. Be patient when looking for a spot. Definitely not Urbane's fault. We have an urbane in Las Vegas and this one in Bakersfield did NOT disappoint! We got the chimichurri steak sandwich and I got my free birthday cookie!! (Chocolate chip) Super flavorful sandwich.. I LOVE the house salad (they have my fave dressing) and their cookies are served WARM! Yum!! Definitely a great place to stop for quality food. They make everything in house, the service was fast and friendly, and the inside was super clean! They also have an outdoor patio which I wish the Henderson (Vegas) one would have. I love this place and the food is never a miss. My only issue is with the staff. Most are friendly but there are a few women who work here and probably shouldn't. When you walk in, and two women are standing behind the counter talking, both look at you and then return to their conversation... that's not good. I've had to stand there waiting for 5 minutes until someone else (who was actually busy working) finally came to take my order. Customer service should be part of every employees responsibility. There seems to be a bit of a "that's not MY job!" kind of attitude happening when it comes to acknowledging/talking to/helping customers. This isn't a one-off. I'm only finally writing this after it happened for about the tenth time. (I eat here about 3X a week). I've attended a few Yelp events with Urbane, but I held my review because of something that happened a little bit ago, I know it's super stupid and I should have just put my honest opinion forth. Urbane is a local business that has branched out to Valencia and I think somewhere in Southern California now. I'm so glad, I waited a few years to write a review so I can give my full and honest review. When I think of a sandwich or salad, this is one of the first places I think of. They have a good variety of choices on salads, sandwiches and soups. This is my youngest son's favorite sandwich place. I have probably tried everything on their menu. I don't have a favorite sandwich, everything I have tried is delicious. The focaccia bread is the best! Anytime I eat Urbane, the food doesn't feel like a sandwich shop, it feels like a homemade healthy meal and let's not forget the homemade amazing cookies also! Anytime I have visited, the staff has been excellent. They are always friendly and they actually look like they love working there. I visit this location the most and it's always super clean, they play good music. There's tons of tables to sit at and they are usually pretty fast. You can also order ahead just to make sure you beat time. If you haven't visited Urbane, you need to! Their homemade focaccia bread will make you change sandwich shops! :-) read more

I always go to the Mount Vernon location but stopped by California Avenue to get my usual kids turkey sandwich and the bread was so salty on top that I couldn't eat it and it was sloppily made didn't have any mayonnaise on it and they were very slow to take my order also. The bread was so over baked that it was crunchy so that means that the employees were not paying attention to win the bread needs to come out of the oven because it's baked every 20 minutes. Got a salmon bowl asked for extra sweet potatoes instead I got bowl not full with definitely no extra that I paid for also picked up a fish sandwich which like NOTHING like the picture. We actually measured the piece of fish and it was 1 inch by 2 inches and thin. Called and asked if we came back with the food if they would rectify the problem problem and were told " no sorry the food comes pre packaged.
