When I walked into Sofra Tavern, the first thing I noticed was how warm and welcoming it felt. The windows had these beautiful floral designs on them that immediately caught my eye and gave the place a really charming touch. Inside, the walls were painted in this soft burnt color that made the whole space feel cozy and relaxed. The tea was also so cute when it came out. It was one of those drinks that's basically made for an Instagram picture before you even take a sip. Everything just looked so pretty and thoughtfully presented. For dessert, the baklava ice cream was such a fun combination. It had this smooth, melty texture but still had that nice crunch from the baklava pieces. My absolute favorite though was the baklava cheesecake. It was rich, sweet, and had the perfect balance of creamy and crispy textures. Definitely something I'd go back for again. The main course that I totally forgot to mention was the chicken sharwanna (totally butchered the name) the wrap was good as well. The best part was that the fries were fried in beef tallow.

    Qebapa w fries. 10/10.

The ambiance just what I needed after coming from the nail salon. Service is great. I ordered the Qebapa it comes with fries and is delicious. I can't wait to try them again.

Best hidden gem! My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out where to eat that was near us. Found on yelp with 4.8 stars. We decided to check it out. WOW! The ambience was beautiful. Lovely owner and her family I believe was sitting in the corner. All greeted with smiles and a warm hello. The place was empty and honestly don't know why! Because I believe my boyfriend and I found our go to spot here in the southwest! I wanted to gate keep but they definitely deserve to get recognition. Anyways I also don't write many reviews but I couldn't believe how delicious everything we ordered was. And... we ordered to go. Our order: Chicken shawarma Sofra Kabob (I got steak) And Pizza (chicken shawarma) We asked the toppings for the pizza & my boyfriend and I don't eat pork so pepperoni couldn't be an option. The owner I believe, suggested chicken and how it's not yet on the menu and that it would be similar to the chicken shawarma (I hope I'm not mistaken with the culture) but it was incredible! The smell of the fresh bread and I don't know if there's olive oil but I could taste the quality of oil and love you put. Literally you could smell ALL the ingredients on that pizza. The chicken shawarma my go to along with pizza The kabob and pilaf with veggies the pilaf was also nostalgic definitely so fresh! The fresh flowers on the tables and little details is well thought out. Again you'll be seeing us very soon! Definitely recommending to my friends & family! Thank you for being SO hospitable! Can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

My first time recording I ate here. I love this place and Rita (owner) is so nice. The food was amazing and she introduced a new breakfast/dessert dish. Looks likes donuts holes but they are so light. You eat with feta cheese and maple syrup. OMFG so good! Come by if you want quality food with a great staff!

    Gullash, with mash potatoes.

The food is so fresh, just like homemade, Rita the owner bakes her own bread for the Gullash. The relaxing atmosphere, looking at the mountains, just takes you to another place. The service is just what you expect it to be.

We love neighborhood local eating, and this new restaurant did not disappoint! I love that we can bike or walk here from home for breakfast, lunch or dinner! We walked in for lunch, and ordered the feta fondue which was warm and delicious! We then moved on to a skewer plate which we could mix and match 1 chicken and 1 steak. I don't usually order skewers because they're usually dry. These were juicy and cooked to perfection! It came with salad and rice that was so great even though it sounds The coffee is expectedly amazing, as the also own Alchemy Coffee- another hidden gem in our Summerlin South neighborhood. The owner is so sweet, and you can tell she put so much thought into the ambiance. We will be here often!

    Mediterranean burger so good!!!

Great food, beautiful decor and an amazing owner, it was like I was eating at my mom's house again! The service makes you feel right at home :)

You have to get your own sodas at the fountain area, so refills are available whenever you need more or top off your drinks. They also have water there if you do not want the soda. We ordered the classic apps: 1. Avgolemono soup (Lemon & chicken soup). It comes with 4 wedges of pita bread and it was tasty. 2. Spanakopita (spinach and feta cheese in phyllo dough). 2 in an order and each is individually wrapped and not in a pie shape like traditionally. They were good too. 3. Taverna cheese (fried cheese). I was hoping it would be like saganaki style and 1 big piece of cheese like i was used to in Chicago Greek restaurants but these are cheese sticks. They were good but wasn't what I expected. Served with a lemon wedge and hot honey on the side. We are it without the honey and they were light, not greasy at all. For our main entrees, we ordered 2 1 beef gyros, 1 is a combo and we picked fries as our choice. The gyro is huge! And they are ver generous with the fries, which were lightly breaded and not greasy at all so they were yummy, aling with the loaded gyros! They were delicious! The staff is friendly. We definitely will come back again to try their grill items!

It feels like a place that actually cares about presentation, comfort, and the overall dining experience. The owner herself is honestly one of the highlights of the entire visit. She is incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely present, checking in on guests and making sure everything is perfect without ever feeling intrusive. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it completely changes the energy of the meal in the best way possible. Unfortunately the tzatziki was so thick, more like cream cheese, so inedible to dip the crisp veggies in...yes I showed and shared with our server, but he never said anything further. Sautéed Diver Scallops were perfect and every bite was savored! Potato "Fries" were delicious and I remember these from last time. It could easily have fed 4 persons. The person sitting next to us ordered their baklava cheesecake. He polished it off his plate. I ordered and split a slice with my dinner companion. We absolutely loved it and ate every morsel! I would order this again! I did have to ask for more water twice. Though other hostesses did check on us a couple of times which I really appreciated. Great Greek Hamburger, But Spanakopita? Opa, No!…read more Review: So The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill popped up practically in my backyard--right there next to Whole Foods on Sahara and Town Center. How could I not try it? Now, I'll be honest: my favorite Greek spot is Meráki, and when we go there, we're known for ordering--wait for it--a hamburger. Yes, a Greek hamburger! Meráki's is amazing, and turns out, The Great Greek's burger is also a flavor bomb. Whatever Greek seasoning magic they sprinkle on that meat patty gives it a char-grilled punch that hits the spot. We rounded out our takeout with a Greek salad--nothing groundbreaking, but fresh, crisp, and just what you'd expect. The Greek rice? Meh, a bit underwhelming--fine, but won't be stealing the show at any Greek wedding. Now, the spanakopita... oof. Imagine one giant puff pastry with not much spinach or feta flavor--it was a one-and-done situation. Service-wise, it's a fast-casual setup: order at the counter, grab a seat if you like, but it's not aiming for ambiance. Think more quick bite than Mediterranean getaway. Overall, would I return? Probably not when Meráki is just 10 minutes down the road. But if I'm craving that Greek burger and I'm in a pinch, well... I know where to go!
