The highest excellence in food and service. This is the second inception of this restaurant! On both occasions we were invited here for a special Yelp event. On every occasion we always return . Now we have one here on this side of town ! Are you looking to eat better? The food here is delicious and most think! Hmm, that's not good for thee! Actually it is. The bread is just unbelievably! For those looking for that extra carb intake look no further. The menu is pretty simple! It's geared towards impressing most individuals. They have something for everyone. Bring the fam! Actually the kids, even though they are grown still enjoy the kids cheese pizza here. For the grown up kids you will be two. Let's highly encourage the staff they are so warm and welcoming. The order gets placed and most of the time you take the number to the table and they bring the food to you . Smiles all around as the food arrives, from the staff delivering it too. What a lovely surprise? Now that you have your food, it's time to have something to drink. The soda choices here make an excellent substitute for all that sugary other stuff . They have a Shirley Temple on tap! Wow! Plus other great choices you will like too! Now that we have our food and Shirley Temples all around it's time to eat! The staff were so amazing. We are always impressed to be a guest here . Thank you for creating a wonderful atmosphere and dining experience with delicious eats . Until next time!

Different story today: We've been coming to Urbane for a long time because their salads are usually excellent. The portions have always been generous, with plenty of fresh ingredients, a good amount of grilled chicken, and a warm, freshly baked piece of bread on the side. That's exactly why we keep coming back. Unfortunately, today's visit was very disappointing. My salad looked like it was made with much smaller portions and was carelessly put together. The grilled chicken, which is usually generous, was reduced to about five very thin strips, which felt like a joke for the price. The bread was another letdown. Instead of being warm and fresh, it was cold and stale. I asked if I could have a fresh piece, but the replacement was just as stale. I'm not sure what changed today. It almost seemed like a different person prepared the food because the quality was nowhere near what we've consistently experienced in the past. I hope this was just an off day, because Urbane has always been one of our favorite places for salads. However, if this is the new standard and this is what we can expect the next time we come in, we will unfortunately have to take our business elsewhere. It's disappointing to see a place we've enjoyed so much lose the quality and consistency that kept us coming back.

Very very good for the price point and portion you get, however I ordered prior to the start of a huge rush and got my food after 35 minutes which was supposed to be a portabella mushroom sandwich with melted cheese. After we got the sandwich, we noticed that the cheese was completely cold. There were other people who ordered after us which had bigger orders and receive their food prior to us. The staff didn't seem to be making food very quickly, and I had noticed that there were other tables around us that were not satisfied with their food. Definitely will be giving this place. Another chance as maybe I just came on a bad day.

This is their second location located on S Rainbow Blvd. In front of the Aldi store And it is very spacious, big parking lot. They ONLY use fresh ingredients and also they bake their bread and cookies on the spot all day long!!! Which makes it extremely rare these days for the restaurant to make it everything from the scratch and everything is fresh- nothing frozen EVER!!! They use local ingredients and make healthy delicious sandwiches, bowls and farm fresh salads. They have a great selection of hearty meals , including vegetarian options too. The side salads served with those sandwiches are pretty decent as well. The real treat are their cookies ( available in several different flavors - my suggestion " white chocolate cranberry " MUST TRY ) and of course baked fresh daily and served warm and so soft and delicious! Honestly the best cookie that I've ever had! They also have a healthier version of fountain drinks " CRAFT BATCH SODAS " and they are even tastier than regular Coke or Pepsi products. We had their sandwiches and they were delicious, freshly made and served warm. Yummy The menu is diverse with a lot of delicious choices, whatever you choose from the menu is great, so you can't go wrong. The staff is awesome, very friendly and kind, providing excellent service always with a smile. The restaurant is very nice and clean, extremely inviting. Overall we had a delightful experience ! Great healthy food, wonderful staff and welcoming atmosphere!

I was originally invited to check this place out through the Yelp Elite experience. I had a great visit and came back with my kids a few weeks after. The service was still amazing, the cookies (my favorite) are warm and our sandwiches and side salads is absolutely fresh and delicious. They're made to order and portion size is big. My youngest was excited that there's Shirley Temple on tap! I think that alone will have her asking me to come here at least once a week.

I stopped by Urbane Cafe and tried both the Tri-Tip Sandwich and the Chimichurri, and wow, let me just say, the chimichurri sandwich absolutely stole the show. The moment I took the first bite, I literally paused because of how juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned it was. The chimichurri sauce is bright, herby, and super fresh, it soaks into the warm bread just enough without making it soggy. The meat was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and had that perfect balance of savory and citrusy notes. Every bite had that "wow, I need another one" feeling. The tri tip sandwich was good too, solid flavor and well cooked- but the chimichurri? On a whole different level. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you immediately want to come back the next day. If you're debating what to get, get the chimichurri. Trust me.

My husband and I were out doing some shopping and decided we needed a quick bite. Stopped in not long after they opened and was pleasantly surprised how may healthy options they have. There are sandwiches, salads, and bowls. I opted for a sandwich meal that came with a side salad as well as a drink and a cookie. I had such a hard time deciding but ended up with the so cal. Chicken, avocado, pepper jack, lettuce, salsa and a Chipotle aioli. I did learn that they also fresh bake their bread and it shows. The meal was so tasty and I didn't feel so guilty eating it because it was quite healthy as well. The portions are huge and food came out in a timely manner. I also love the fact they have such a huge drink option. From pure sugar cane sodas to chili limeade. I don't live in the area but if so I'll definitely be back. So delicious!

Excellent! On arrival, my Togo order was ready and packed very nicely. I also ordered another sandwich to go when I was there and both ladies working were extremely friendly. The food is bomb! I got the turkey and cranberry sandwich, the turkey club and the Cobb salad with tri-tip added. The flavors and quality of everything is top notch. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The blue cheese dressing is soooo good and not thick. The white cookie... wow! Location is in a busy area, maybe bring one to Summerlin in the future?! :)

Great lunch spot with healthy options and plenty for a vegan lifestyle. The space is bright, clean, and open, with easy ordering through kiosks or at the counter. The cashier was very friendly and told us about their fresh daily focaccia. We ordered the salmon bowl with a cranberry white chocolate chip cookie and the enchilada soup. Both came with focaccia and were delicious. The salmon bowl was fresh and flavorful with generous toppings, and the soup was served at the perfect temperature. I liked the miso sauce on top of the salmon. They also have a nice variety of drinks, including craft sodas, dragon fruit Fresca, and lemonade. It does get busy around noon, so keep that in mind if you're coming with a larger group.

Food was overall good although the service was very rushed. Rushed in the way of shrugging customers off when being asked a quick question not in the sense of the food. Food took about 45 minutes, they seemed extremely short staffed. I'll still go back and try it again, maybe a different location.

This is the place to go if you're craving a healthy and appropriately portion meal. They offer a selection of sandwiches, bowls and salads in a variety of different flavors, from barbecue to Mediterranean to Mexican/southwestern. With almost every order you'll get to try their freshly baked focaccia bread, which is a delicious addition to any meal. Convenient takeout options or order inside at the kiosk.

Ordered their Chicken Banh Mi and it was delicious. They use Focaccia bread instead of the typical French baguette used for Banh Mis. It was pretty interesting to me. Also, It comes with a side salad and Balsamic vinaigrette. read more

This was my first time at this establishment and it really made a good impression on me. All the food looked delicious and the place was clean. I got the pastrami sandwich and it really is one of the better pastrami sandwiches in Vegas.The menu looks great and some options for my vegan sister can't wait to recommend to her. The best part was the service the worker was really nice and accommodating. She really did a great job. I wish I caught her name but it was a lady working front of house at the rainbow location at around 11:30am. Will return read more

My friend wanted to eat something a little healthier so she suggested Urbane Cafe. I would have never considered eating here but I am so glad I went. The chimichurri steak sandwich wasn't too healthy so that's what I ordered. To my surprise, this was one of the most flavorful sandwich I've had in a long time. The meat was very tender too. I was so happy to see that a location opened up here after having tried this restaurant in California last year. My sister and I split the Chimichurri Steak and the Pastrami Tri Tip. Both were so good but the Chimichurri Steak was definitely my favorite. The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant looks small from the outside but it's actually pretty spacious inside and very clean. This location was built in a new shopping center with a bunch of other good businesses so I can see myself coming here quite often in the future. read more

Went today for lunch as we've been super excited one is closer to home after loving it in San Diego for so lunch! Food was delicious, well flavored, and filling. We tried Urbane Cafe out for lunch yesterday after a co-worker raved about a San Diego location. I ordered through the app which was a bit glitchy but not bad, and picked up curbside. Pick up was easy and all of our orders were correct. Everyone seemed to like their meals and my cilantro chicken sandwich was yummy. I'm really picky about the quality and texture of chicken on sandwiches and this chicken seemed to be roasted and sliced; it was really good! I chose the side salad with my sandwich as did my three co-workers and we were pretty underwhelmed. The flavor was great and we loved that the salad dressing was in a separate container. There was a very small amount of lettuce though, with one speck of feta cheese, and one piece of a mandarin orange. The prices are a bit on the more expensive side and we expected a true side salad, not a few bits of lettuce. read more

I HIGHLY recommend!!! I got the sweet chili crunch tofu sandwich with a cup of tomato soup. The sandwich was like a party in my mouth. It was wonderful! The Tomato soup was really good too! Please consider opening a restaurant in Seattle, so I can enjoy these sandwiches all the time. I hope to be back before my time here ends. This is my new favorite local spot for awesome food. The reason for me why this is awesome food is the focaccia bread that is wheat based and no dairy. Surprisingly, a lot of other restaurants here in Vegas do not offer any dairy free bread. I tried the chicken Bahn Mi sandwich in the restaurant. I loved that it was completely dairy free! The flavors seemed to mesh well together. I did put a bit of Sriracha sauce for some added heat. Next time I will ask for more spicy peppers. The little side salad that they throw in with the sandwich makes it a healthier meal. I got the bbq tri-tip sandwich minus the pepper jack cheese to go. I loved the to go containers that seemed to be well thought out. That was a delicious sandwich as well. The orders were executed rapidly with the large amount of staff that was working for the opening. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The inside is new, fresh, modern, and very nicely decorated. It's very nice to have this restaurant in the southwest area! read more

came for a late lunch. i refuse to pay $$$$ to eat on the strip. had a nice sandwich and side salad for $16!. i like the order kiosk shows pics of everything and lets you modify/add things if needed. i got the turkey/brie sandwich. i would have liked more cheese/avocado. but deffinitely better than panera. ill come back if im in the area read more

This is one of my go to places for lunch or dinner. I and glad there is one on this side of town. Now I have one by work and near my home! The staff are always friendly and the restaurant clean and inviting. My favorite sandwich is the southwestern chicken. Sooooo good! But I don't think you can go wrong with anything. Go to place for salmon bowl in the area. Comes with rice, kale salad, sweet potatoes, and edamame. Ask for no sweet chili and wipe off the bbq sauce and this is a healthy meal that can be eaten every day. Need more places like this in the area read more

We were so excited to finally try Urbane Cafe at the Rainbow location! We went in for lunch and the service was beyond amazing, the food was very delicious as well. I had the So Cal, which is pretty much a yummy chicken avocado sandwich. My boyfriend tried their chimichurri steak sandwich, which I must say was our favorite! I have had their salmon salad in the past and that is delicious too. Definitely give them a try, you will not be disappointed. P.S : their agua fresca drink is so good! read more

I've given this place a try 4 times now but after today I doubt I'll ever be back. The first time I came I ordered the salmon bowl which was pretty tasty. The second time l came I ordered a salad for pickup and as soon as I opened it up a bug was crawling out of the lettuce. Nasty. I brought it back and the manager refunded my money but at that point my appetite was ruined. My third order was the salmon salad which was pretty brave of me considering what happened the last time. It was ok. Nothing special. Today I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich which I customized and added avocado and of course my sandwich had no avocado, but I still got charged for it. This tells me they don't really pay attention and don't really care about the quality they're putting out there so going forward it's a no for me. read more

We are excited to go to a new place for salad sandwiches and soups that's healthy in town. Walking in we absolutely love the fast casual approach where you order right at the kiosk. It makes it so much easier to get your order correctly and be able to browse all options. My boyfriend got the so cal sandwich and I got the Mediterranean bowl. He said he was fine, but he enjoyed the price point and how affordable it was. Mine was pretty inedible. The marinated kale tasted like dish soap. The hummus was so salty. It was hard to eat, but luckily the rest of the plate was unseasoned so I could mix it around and it was OK. We went home and ate again. Maybe it was the one off bad experience, but we didn't love the food and even though the prices were good it's not worth it when you have to eat again. What we did love was how clean the place was how friendly everyone was and the fast casual atmosphere was really nice. We will come again, especially because you can get healthier options. We were so happy to see an Urbane Cafe in Vegas in Henderson and then hello, this one on Rainbow. Great location, plenty of parking, really easy to access off the highway. The inside was clean and bustling, love that the orders are taken upfront and the machines are spaced out. Food was as expected, fresh and delicious. We got the Seared Ahi Tuna Bowl and the Southwest Sandwich - both winners. I love that the portions are totally filling but reasonably sized while being savory. History

Established in 2003.

It all started in 2003 when owner Tom Holt realized there was a missing niche in the Ventura restaurant scene. He wanted a great sandwich and salad, something different, while still being dedicated to delicious-tasting food. He understood that every great sandwich starts with the freshest of bread, so he designed the cafe around a hearth oven. Working with his friend Pete, they came up with a bread recipe that was soft, delicious and baked fresh, right in front of your eyes. It didn't stop there though, he created a menu centered around locally sourced ingredients, juicy-roasted meats, and crafted sauces to give each creation its own unique flavor. Urbane Cafe loves being the place where friends, family, and communities gather to celebrate and make memories over delicious food. Our passion is to have our guests walk out happy every time and keep them coming back for more.

Meet the Business Owner: Tom H.

Tom Holt is the owner, founder and Chief Bread Head of Urbane Cafe. As a young child Tom developed a love for motocross racing. His first career was at the age of sixteen when he became a professional motocross racer. In 2003, Tom Holt's vision was to bring a great-tasting, healthy, and affordable sandwich and salad restaurant to the friendly people of Ventura, California: a nice, small town where he grew up. Urbane Cafe quickly became the gathering place where people meet to engage, relax and enjoy a great meal at a great value. The success of that first location proved that Tom had struck a chord with the local community. Urbane Cafe is all family owned and has continued to expand since 2003 to multiple locations across California.
