Unfortunately Friday when looking for a new nail home, I had a bad experience due to the excessive and painful cuticle work done by the nail tech Tina. She went over the same cuticle with the dremel tool at a high speed. This caused me to be nicked multiple times on multiple fingers, and caused me to draw blood. Every time I yanked away, she apologized - so I did my best to just get through the service. After the multiple nicks and washing my hands, I let her know that my cuticle was bleeding. She apologized and placed a blue liquid and cotton on the cuticle that burned extremely bad. She had to do this a second time about 10 minutes later due to my cuticle continuing to bleed. Although this seems like the appropriate protocol, I feel that the tools being used are not being appropriately sanitized due to them causing this type of infection. The next morning (Day 2) I woke up to a cuticle looking very red, was swollen, and looked what to be infected. The cuticle only began to get worse (Day 3). Today after going to urgent care, I was told I had an infected cuticle, and am now having to do things to get rid of the infection. read more

SMH! So many of the polishes were old and changing consistency. I'd rather see less colors and better quality. I went to the bathroom first and got stuck. I was beginning to freak out. I went a week ago with a few friends for a pedicure and a refill on my dip nails. The pedicure was nice although it took them a while to get to us. I did like that they took their time on me and my tech did my toes and my dip refill however i am very dissatisfied with my dip. I'm picky and i voiced that. I like my dip thick because i can be rough on my nails after telling him i wanted more than 1 layer of dip color he seemed agitated. He put one more layer of color and finished my nails. They were pretty but within a week i have 4 chipped nails and they are already lifting. My friend also got dip and she has several nails lifting as well. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day but i will probably won't be going back for dip at least. read more

Let me start off by saying every single experience has not been an awful one except for the last one. As soon as my friends and I walked in, we noticed a lady recording with her iPhone trying to not make it obvious. My friend asked her if she was recording us and she said it was for a facebook live. Mind you she had not asked if it was okay or anything. She was literally trying to do it in secret which made it so much more uncomfortable and it never was a facebook live. We checked later that day and it was never posted. Please don't try to be secretive when recording someone, you're not low. I never came back here after this. Another time, I came in to get a fill. I waited over an hour and they then proceeded to tell me it was close to closing time. Mind you I had already been there waiting, but they took me. They asked me who did my nails and I pointed to the lady's desk. I asked why they asked and they said that my nails were already lifting so I would need to get a new set. THE SAME ESTABLISHMENT DID MY ORIGINAL NAILS! I was irritated that they were not capable of properly putting on my nails the first time. Please take your money elsewhere. OH. And they remove acrylics with other nails. Not even caring if it hurts you. They don't remove lashes or nails properly AT ALL. read more

I'm sadly stuck in the middle here. My first time was WONDERFUL. I wanted my toes just the right color for my birthday, and felt so spoiled coming here on a Saturday afternoon. The location is gorgeous, service was prompt and thorough, great color selections... and the wine was pretty good too. Even though they were packed, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to be seated and maybe 5 more for them to start on our pedicures. That time my polish lasted a solid month. Then more recently I went on a weekday afternoon and service was absolutely "meh." I couldn't believe it. I have been telling all my friends about this place! The person who did my pedicure didn't even ask any questions. She didn't do much with my cuticles and just cut my nails in an odd shape that honestly is growing out uncomfortably. The tech I had spoke in broken English followed by "Okay?" with an aggressive head nod to get me to agree to services not included in the price. They don't tell you that a Classic Manicure is $15 but the gel polish they're suggesting is $15 extra. That's ridiculous. You can get a complete mani with gel AND nail art for less than that at Bella Capelli on the south side of OKC. ETA: The manger removed the $30 charge for gel polish once I informed him. It didn't have anything to do with the "other place" not having alcoholic beverages either , they just were VERY subpar. Enough about them, let's talk about URBANE. Complimentary drinks: wine, margaritas, water, soda, & coffee. Some special events they have mimosas. Every year they have an anniversary party and have sushi, egg rolls, fried rice, tons of food and giveaways all day. I don't have a particular person I go to either(pedicures). Since they have opened I have probably had every single one of them give me a pedicure and although some definitely are better than others...not one is bad. Usually not a long wait unless it's their anniversary and then I've been waited maybe 30 min but can't complain because they refilled my drink while I waited! I've been going to urbane for a couple years now and the past few times I've been haven't been the best and it makes me sad to see them go down hill. The dip on my manicure was thin that my nails began to crack and so I decided to only go to get pedicures from now on because I went back the day after my manicure and they tried to argue with me that they didn't see any cracks in my nails and decided that putting another layer on top of my nail was going to fix it. After putting another layer I had to ask them to shape them again because they were going to leave it uneven. Went in another time for a pedicure and the lady was so rough and I'm not one to say anything but I had to tell her that it hurt multiple times. If I could give this facility a rating of zero I would. First off to start I walked in and barely anyone was wearing a mask. very nice of them to serve wine however all masks were off and everyone was drinking wine without any care. Next they finally called me over to the nail booth and the man approached me (I cannot remember his name) but without a mask talking into my face. I politely asked him "sir can you please put on a mask before you do my nails", he responded "oh sure". He proceeded to do my nails with his mask on, however was coughing the entirety of the time. the fact that he thought he was going to do my nails without a mask makes me laugh. Another woman walked in without a mask to get a gift card I was very taken back by the fact they even allowed her in the facility. My normal nail tech was off today so I decided to try a new location after leaving some not so impressive locations I found urbane nails and was pleased with the staff and there location and decided to stay and I'm not yet disappointed! Come check them out ! EDIT : my mother and I decided to treat our selfs and it was quite the opposite. First we where asked to do review upon arrival before Receiving service for 50% off our second services . I came for a polish change and a pedicure so it sounded great , I grabbed a pamphlet and picked my pedicure. they got me right to a chair but then I waited so long my water was cold several times and had to ask them to come heat it up and drain out the excess water . That was my first sign I made a mistake . I then after 45 mins of waiting with raisins toes I was greeted by Mimi Who kindly apologized for the wait and begin my pedicure . I was watching her do my pedicure and her colleague Abby do my mothers pedicure when I noticed that she was skipping steps she never touched the bottom of my feet with anything except for a hot stone but Abby uses all different kinds of tools on my mom . My mother gets pedicures more often than I and her feet are softer so I knew something was odd . we were almost to the end of the pedicure and my mother mentioned something about it and she said she would do it after she painted my toes and then she continued to do the paraffin wax and never touch the bottom of my feet . We had to ask her to go get the stuff and do it correctly. I let that go because at this point my nails and toes are different colors and I need to finish what I came for I was then told to wait I waited for another 20 minutes and then was greeted by Helen . Helen was very rude proceeded to answer her phone while doing my nails She left parts of my nails with no paint on them and was very rude. . She did not ask if I liked my nails she simply got up and walked away for me and proceeded to help someone else so I went to the front desk and spoke with the man that was working the desk whose name I do not know he took the $10 off for my nail polish and charge me $45 for my pedicure I went to my car after having to argue with Helen because he did no charge me and she wanted me to pay . I then waited in my mother to Finnish in my car when he came out to open my door handle and pulled it off . it was already broken but he shouldn't have grabbed my door . I let him take photos he apologized and went back inside and then mimi came and chased me down to tell me they in fact did not charge me for my toe gelpolish only my pedicure and needed to charge me 15 more dollars . I proceed to take back my receipt mark out the 5$ tip replace it with at 15$ tip and end the discussion . So moral of the story it this was the worst experience in a nail salon i have ever had . the concept was great but the experience was terrible read more

OKAY: first off I have been to this place multiple times, and everytime I go in I end up leaving disappointed. I was very direct & clear about what i wanted, I wanted long acrylics. So I made sure to show a picture & everything of what i wanted, the lady starts doing my nails. The color was pretty, it was nice. i see she's doing powder & it's super short. I asked her, "will these be acrylics, long like the picture" & she says yes! So when push comes to shove I didn't get long acrylics I badically got gel powder my nail length. AND, she didn't even clip half of my nails. And to add to that atrocity, the lady cut my cuticles to the point of bleeding l, tried to clean it once then laughed and said oh well & PAINTED OVER THE BLOOD. Super disappointed.
