What a cute cafe!! I didn't know about this place, but decided to stop in last weekend when I had a craving for boba! I got there around 6:45 pm and they close at 7, but the older gentleman welcomed me in and I did not feel rushed at all. I took a while to decide what I wanted before I finally placed my order. I ended up with a Beef Brisket Banh Mi and a Jasmine Green Tea with Sea Salt Foam and boba. The drink wasn't super sweet, but I did like the mild flavor. It was very refreshing and it washed down the banh mi nicely. Urbanh Cafe is located in Chandler directly across from Lee's Sandwiches, so it's in a good spot. Lots of parking, easy to find, friendly service and good prices. You can't beat that! I will be adding this to my regular rotation for sure! read more

Drove by Urban many times on the way to Lee Sandwich near LeLe Supermarket, but finally gave it a try after my son said it's better--and he's right. The bánh mì is a bit smaller than Lee's, but the size is perfect. Fresh bread, great flavor, and well-balanced. Definitely coming back! read more

I've picked up from here a few times for deliveries but I decided to stop in today to get some food for myself. The manager is amazing and very knowledgeable. And they suggested I try the best Vietnamese sandwiches in the state. So I did, and I tried the Pulled Pork BBQ Banh Mi sandwich and it was delicious! I will definitely be back to try more options if the Banh Mi sandwiches. I also got tried the Popcorn Shrimp and the Passionfruit smoothie with Boba and everything was excellent! 4.5 I had a craving for some Vietnamese coffee, and found this spot! They had an order online, pickup in store option through door dash, so I decided to do that. When I arrived, it wasn't very busy. Seating is available indoors and there was a small table outdoors too. The inside was very clean and they had some grab and go beverages. Lots of different options to choose from on their drink menu, and a variety of jellies / add ons. They also had a delicious looking food menu with lots of Banh Mi sandwiches which I can't wait to come back and try! I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee with Crystal boba. Was craving banh mi and pre-ordered our sandwiches online. They were ready for pickup in less than 30 minutes, which was perfect since that's how long it took us to get there. I had the option to select a specific pickup time, but chose ASAP. We ordered two #B8 sandwiches and were able to customize them easily online. I forgot to add extra meat and pâté for my meat lover (it costs extra). At $6.95 each, the sandwiches were a good value as is. There are tables and chairs in the store, so we chose to eat there. First time trying Urbanh Cafe this past weekend. Service was fast and it was easy to place an order. We ordered two grilled pork and one grilled chicken. The bread was served warm and fresh. Not a lot of meat inside. I would prefer a little more pate and butter but overall, pretty good. My kids devoured the grilled chicken with cucumber and were very happy with it. I was extremely disappointed of their tasteless and diluted desserts, but even more mad when I found this in my dessert. It looks like the dishes scrub sponge. This is disgusting! After shopping at Lee Lee International Supermarket, my eldest daughter and I continued our plaza journey over to Urbanh Cafe because we saw an Urbanh Cafe advertisement at the entrance of Lee Lee (great marketing idea to place your advertisement where there is most foot traffic especially when your cafe is all the way at one end of the plaza). I love Vietnamese desserts so I had to pay them a visit. It's a simple and cute cafe with some seating inside and limited seating out in front of the cafe. It has a wall of pretty pictures of the various Vietnamese desserts (another great marketing idea to get your dessert drinks exposed by showing pictures of them). I love avocados so I went with the Avocado Dessert. I didn't get anything else. Unfortunately, the dessert was not sweet at all. I was expecting the coconut milk or cream to have been sweetened. The avocados were good though. I think this was the very first time where I got a Vietnamese dessert drink that was not sweet which was kind of odd. Anyway, the staff was friendly. Prices are quite reasonable. They also sell sandwiches and other savory & sweet desserts. The next time I'm in Chandler, AZ, I'll have to come back here to try their other desserts. Cute little place for Bahn mi and drinks They have a fun selection including a few different che options. I love that they have pics outlining what comes in each of their che drinks making it easier to decide. They also gave a handful of Bahn mi options or you can turn them into a how. We went at the end of the night so thr boba and sesame balls did taste a bit old. The che was very full of items in I and flavorful. Companion, who has never had Vietnamese food before, selected the pork sausage banh mi, and I selected the shrimp banh mi. We both ordered Thai tea as a drink. There are only four tables in the restaurant along with one outside, and fortunately one of the tables was free. In a short amount of time, our food was brought out to us. Perfectly baked French rolls, stuffed with assorted veggies and lots of protein. Of the banh mi sandwiches I have eaten around Phoenix, this was probably the best! Very fresh vegetables, good proteins, and wonderful rolls. We did not have room for dessert, though they list them on the menu with tantalizing pictures. We've been ordering Vietnamese baguettes and drinks at Urbanh since its opening and we have never been disappointed! In fact we love their menu so much that we go every week, sometimes 2-3 times per week. We recommend it to many of our friends and coworker. In addition, we often have their foods and drinks catered to our office nearby! Their baguettes are made fresh daily along with all ingredients The Vietnamese coffee is by far the best! Don't forget to add sea salt foam on top! Their Oolong sea-salt tea (go with 75% sweet) tastes just perfect! We tried this place for Banh Mi for the first time, as we wanted to try a different place other than Lee's Sandwiches across the road. Location is perfect if you are shopping at Lee Lees Supermarket next door. The food was OK or average, but not on the same level as Mekong Sandwiches or Lee's. It seemed like the person making the sandwiches didn't get the balance of ingredients right, the flavor profile was off, one of the sandwiches was missing jalapeños, and there was very little meat - like one thin slice of each. It is quite small too. My wife felt that it seems like a weird fusion place but not really coming close to a true Banh Mi sandwich. I don't leave bad reviews, but I don't think this place is making too much of an effort. It wasn't bad, it was just OK, but I don't think I would come back in the future. Service was nice and friendly, and no-one else was there eating, which probably reflects my thoughts on the food too. Came here again a year later with a che craving! Got the che ba mau again at 50% sugar with ice on the side and it was SO good and SO filling. Definitely worth it for $5 considering so many drink/dessert places charge $6-7 per cup now. We also got a jasmine tea with sea salt cream and it was soooo watery and not sweet at all. My 3rd visit to Urbanh after a year and I have to say I was very disappointed. The prices went up of course but the quality went down drastically. Banh mi was a lot smaller, and the price of the Chè wasn't what was shown on the screens; it was $1 more. I would rate their banh mi 4.5/5 and dessert che 5/5 with excellent chewy pandan jelly and crunchy red tapioca. The bread is truly the Vietnamese style: crispy outside, thin and soft inside, unlike the Lee Sandwich's bread that is sharp and hard and can cut my gums wide open. The banh mi B1 is 4/5: kinda blank in taste. It needs to have more pate and egg butter. Banh mi with grilled pork B3: 5/5. Meat is juicy and flavorful with a hint of lemongrass and five spice powder. Love the sauce. The dessert che is truly authentic. Bomboba in West Valley also has this type of che but at a much higher price. They are usually busy at lunch time. So it is best to call them ahead to order or order online directly from their website. Do not order from Yelp because they charge $1 extra for each item; you can easily compare the prices on Yelp's online menu. read more

Sorry, but the banh mi sandwiches we had last visit were of a pretty uniquely poor quality. Too little pate/meat on any of the bread. I felt like I was eating bread, just bread. There were hardly any vegetables/condiments on the sandwich itself, and the amount of salt poured onto the sandwich was insanely over the top.
