Expected vibrant Thai flavors that wake up your senses. Got a sad bag of frozen vegetables dumped into lukewarm, uninspired sauce. Carrots like pale erasers. Peas that gave up years ago. Broccoli that forgot it was ever fresh. The whole dish tasted like mild regret with rice. If you're craving real Thai that remembers its roots, keep walking. Great neighborhood Thai restaurant which has recently been renovated. They have a separate Vegan menu with lot of options! From the vegan menu we had the Pad See Ew and mixed vegetables with added eggplant. (Their eggplant is awesome). Both dishes also had tofu. Everything was wonderful except for the tofu. It was very overcooked and difficult to chew. Service was wonderful and drink prices were cheap. They just need to take a lighter touch with the tofu. read more

Came here for a quick lunch during our break. The service was really quick. I ordered the kao soi gai, I like spicy and I did Thai hot. I think it was perfectly balanced flavor. However if you like spicy I'd try the crazy Thai hot, as the coconutmilk probably takes the spice down a little bit. The portion was quite big. It was filling, and I had some to go. I felt the onions were cut a little too big and I'd have personally preferred it to be smaller. The service was good. We were a group of six and all our good came on time, was very accommodating as well. Definitely have to go back to try the other dishes as well. read more

I had my car serviced and discount tire company and walked over here for lunch while I waited. The waitress was very kind and welcoming, and I felt no pressure to leave since they accommodated my stay as I waited for my car! I ordered the garlic noodles. Amazing!!! The sauce was definitely garlicky but not overpowering the other flavors. The noodles were cooked to the perfect texture and blended well with the rest of the ingredients. Yum! Definitely top 5 Thai places I've tried in Arizona. We ordered on DoorDash and it came very quickly and was still piping hot. The Crab Rangoons were just okay, I'd try something else next time. The entrees, however, were amazing. The Vegan Pad Thai was by far one of the best I've ever tried. The tofu was crunchy and the sauce was flavorful. The House Fried Rice was seasoned perfectly and the chicken was super fresh and tender. Finally, the Spicy Basil with Chicken was perfect. The food at Royyim Thai Cuisine is the BEST Thai food I have ever had!! We kicked off our meal with a couple of Thai Iced Teas, which were incredible, 10/10, and absolutely worth the price. When it came to choosing my main, I was torn between the Orange Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, and Spicy Lemongrass Chicken. I ultimately went with the Lemongrass Chicken, and let me just say, it did NOT disappoint! The flavor was incredible with a perfect spice level for someone like me who can't even handle Hot Cheetos lol. The zesty citrus flavor from the lemongrass was truly amazing. Tom, our server, made our experience even more delightful with his accommodating and friendly service. The atmosphere of Royyim Thai Cuisine adds to its charm - it feels very family-owned, inviting, and impeccably clean, making it a cozy dining spot. I've been here long time ago.. Wasn't too bad.. Thought I give it another try. Had lunch special beef spicy basil. I ordered hot but it wasn't that hot. Lunch special came with small sore salad.. Dressing was some sort of peanut dressing but it was very thick and clumpy for a dressing. I did not finish the salad because dressing was not that good. My spicy basil dish was pretty good. Wow - just wow. We had the shrimp spring roll which was HUGE. 1 is plenty for 2. Also the pit stickers were delicious! The main meal was the Royyim Chicken Stir Fry with peanut sauce - it was so tasty! To top off desert, mango sticky rice. Could not have been more impressed. Highly recommend this place! read more

It was hard to tell the place was even open from the parking lot. I got pickup. My kid got dumplings which he loved. Wife got the Thai Fried Rice dish which sort of bland. She got the spicy level medium but received a spicy level zero. I got the Pad Thai with beef. It was good. I got spice level hot and man it was HOT. I was disappointed by the small potion of beef I recieved. Overall the food was good. If I ever order from them again we will pass on the rice dish. read more

A great place to come for quality Thai food! I dined in and got their Chicken Pad Thai lunch special. A great Pad Thai has a noodle that has a little chew to it with a prominent taste of tamarind, and Royyim nailed it. That with an abundant amount of peanut, the dish was so good. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, and the employees are very kind. The family atmosphere of the business is perfect for a young family. There's a small handful of Thai restaurants I go to in the valley, and these guys are one of them for sure. read more

Soooooooo frustrating! We have ordered from here several times. The food is good HOWEVER they are SO TIGHT ON THE RICE! Every time we order they give SO LITTLE RICE. Well this recent time NO RICE AT ALL! ?! Over $100 spent and no rice? Inexcusable. The problem is too few employees. Owner tries to do way too much and things are missed.... huge bummer, but how many more times? Worst of all when I called about no rice, I got nothing except, sorry... New favorite Thai food place! Arrived about an hour before closing time, and there were people still coming to dine in. We were told to pick a table and he dropped off the menus. We decided to go for a chicken fried rice, chicken pad thai, and a thai tea. The food came out right away and it was very very hot. The chicken fried rice was cooked perfectly. First you need to know that I am a fanatical Thai food critic. I was practically born and lived most of my life in Thailand so I do know what I am talking about in reference to authentic Thai cuisine. So that being said here is my review No no no! I was so disappointed in this Thai food I ordered 1. Thai chicken and basil. RATE 2 OUT OF 10. I counted 2-3 pieces of basil leaves, it was served with a broth (what?) it had bamboo shoots? I do not understand it at all. 2. Pad Thai RATE 1 OUT OF 10 what the heck it was not cooked well at all and it was too salty as if they put too much soi sauce in it. Also they added egg but you are supposed to cook the egg with the noodles and what they did was cook the egg in a single piece omelette style and place it on the top. 3. Spring roles. RATE 8 OUT OF 10 Because I don't think you can damage spring rolls so that's not saying much TOTAL SCORE: 2.5 out of 10 read more

This is our absolute favorite Thai restaurant.Our typical order consists of spicy fried rice, yellow curry, and their sweet sticky rice dessert with mango. If you like peanuts, the Massaman is something you have to try. It is so good! The Mrs. likes the Thai iced tea. When we eat in the restaurant, we typically take the bowl that has the rice and dump all of the gravy on top when we order the curry. It works out well. If you're looking to save a little bit of money, and have a large family, I suggest ordering as takeout. They do a good job of packing the food well, so you shouldn't have to worry about your food when you take it home. The dining area isn't very large, but it is nice. The service is very good too. If you try it, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do. read more

Updating my review in response to the owner In my opinion, With as many disclaimers as the menu had, I didn't know you could send it back. You almost need a lawyer to read the menu so you don't mess it up. I did eat all of my food as well. With the prices as high as they were, there was no chance I was leaving it. I eat McDonald's too, but I don't claim that to be a "good" burger. My wife did not eat everything and neither did my child. 2 stars was generous. 1 Star is more realistic. I was doing my best to be nice. With that prime location, that place should be packed out! Unfortunately, it wasn't. Not my place for Thai. We were the only ones there on a Saturday night. Everything has a cost to it. They even charge you an extra dollar if you want light or no ice. The pad Thai was unlike any I had ever had before. It was almost like a tomato soup. Seemed to be very pricy and so so with flavor. We were barely seen by the waitress and the only ones there. When the check came, they had suggestions for the tip. There was no 15% option. I know that's where tips start, but it sends the wrong message. Empty at 6pm on a Saturday night speaks to our experience. read more

Ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken for take-out through their website, which was a quick and seamless process. Google told me it would be ready at 7:24, I pulled up at 7:25, and it came out of the kitchen right then! Good timing. The fried rice itself was average. It was a bit too wet for fried rice, and there wasn't any pineapple flavor outside of the pineapple chunks themselves. Overall, it was still good, but it wasn't pineapple fried rice as I traditionally know it, with lots of spices and raisins and an aromatic pineapple fragrance emanating from the whole dish. Have went to this place a few times and had decent experiences with their food- not big portion sizes but good quality. We recently moved to Glendale from Mesa but traveled the distance to Gilbert to get some food from them yesterday. Was excited to eat and payed about $70 for 3 spring rolls, some curry, pad Thai and fried rice. The spring rolls rice paper was harder than usual not soft and sticky, the fried rice was mushy and the vegetables were not cooked all the way, the pad Thai was dry and flavorless, the curry was just alright (usually the favorite dish). I decided to not make a big deal because they are generally really good, but the next day tried the food again and it was just terrible, so I called them up for the first time ever (normally I order online) and the customer service was even worse than the food, I shared I had spent a few hundred dollars over the last month and the rep argued that amount, as if I wasn't a valuable customer, the excuse for the bad food was that it was busy. Unfortunately they've lost a loyal customer in us - and even sadder they don't care. Giving two stars because the other times were decent enough to go back. Would have rated zero stars for this experience. This is so bad and wasted money. read more

Was very excited to try this place the pictures were defiantly deceiving ... I got mild chicken pad Thai and my boyfriend got hot chicken pad Thai. Mine was very bland and a very off taste like something was missing. I don't know if it's standard to always have cabbage with pad Thai which is something I enjoy, this place had no cabbage with the dishes. My boyfriend who got hot they threw allll the spices On top and didn't blend it in so his first bite was just spice which he didn't enjoy at all. A relatively new Thai Bistro nestled like a small hidden gem in Mesa . Been here about 4 times, I love their " fresh rolls" they pack a burst of flavor that only fresh ingredients can bring on . Stop looking because THIS is the best Thai restaurant you'll find in the area. The service is good, restaurant is clean, and the food is straight from the gods. Oh my goodness. The Yellow Curry medium with chicken is what dreams are made of. And the rice that is served with it is perfection. The Pad Thai is delicious too. We can't believe it took us a year of living in the East Valley to find this place but we're so glad we did. Side note they don't currently sell alcohol but they are working on getting the licensing/permits. read more

For starters, I think the quality and the flavor of the food is very good. The yellow curry had a good ratio of chicken to sauce. The tofu pad Thai was delish and cooked perfectly, The chicken Thai fried rice tasted fine. The only minor complaint, food-wise was that the potatoes in the yellow curry were raw and undercooked. We ordered mild but wow this is very mild, almost too sweet! Zero heat factor, At other Thai places, medium will burn your face off and mild has a nice kick to it but here it's a bit different so adjust accordingly. The main reason for the lower score is we ordered yellow curry for pickup and they gave us no rice, no utensils, no napkins. I was gonna eat at the office but had to drive home to cook rice since the restaurant was a bit far... I'm sure this is an oversight and they just forgot, I don't know who would pay $15 for a bowl of curry like this. read more
