I wouldn't recommend this place -- mainly because of how the manager treated us. The food was mediocre at best. Our waitress and bartender were both friendly, but the experience took a nosedive when the bill arrived: $35 for a single shot of Casamigos tequila. On top of that, the sides were $10 each for tiny portions. Solid Mexican meal! The salsa isn't great, mostly watered down. But the food was enjoyable. I had the Mexican Cobb with steak which had very flavorful dressing and the guac was good too! I tried the gingerbread margarita with the suggestion of the helpful waiter we had. I would have liked more of a ginger forward flavor but all in all not bad. read more

I took this dinner and a group of eight on recommendation of a coworker that lives local and I should've trusted the yelp reviews which three stars means three stars not much else to say that didn't have much service going on so there's a long wait it seems like they're too many items on the menu for them to keep up with and keep fresh. There were a couple items that they were out of including chicken wings. The margaritas were OK but not world class. The Mexican and Tex-Mex foods were authentic enough well portioned, but not much spice or flavor. I think they were missing out on some fresh jalapeños and other typical items that give more flavor, including the guacamole, which was mild. If anyone's been to Texas, they would know that this is off, but still worth a visit if this is the only place you got to go in Bethlehem for this type of food. read more

Sad to give such a low rating, place has potential but this was a pass in my book for future food stops. Came with a party of 8 last night. We sat around 7:30. Our waitress took forever to get the drinks to the table. That was an automatic red flag. When we needed another round, it was like pulling teeth. The restaurant was not even busy; so many open tables. Because the drinks came so late and we were in a hurry for our plans afterwards, we skipped appetizers. We ordered our food and that took forever as well. Luckily we had chips and salsa and we were munching on that because of how hungry we were and how long it took to come out. When we got our food, it was warm, like it sat under the heating lamp for a long time. My friend's dish had a small spider that came out of his dish. Turned everyone at the table off, including myself. At this point, I didn't care about the spider on his dish, I just wanted to eat. I got what was a Bandeja Paisa. A traditional Spanish dish that is hard to mess up. But in this case, everything was wrong. Cold, the rice was unseasoned (no butter or salt). Meat also had no seasoning. Disappointing for a Spanish restaurant. Ended up getting the bill because of the long wait until 9:45. Find another local Mexican restaurant. read more

They sat us in the side room- not a dealbreaker but the vibe is different. Waiter was very unfriendly and took forever to welcome us. We ordered guac and drinks, drinks were horrible - spicy marg was not spicy and I couldn't tell the waiter because he didn't come back for a solid 20. After 30, we asked about the guac, he forgot. Ordered 3 bowls. Every single order was wrong. Again, couldn't send it back because we didn't see him for another 40 minutes. It took 3 women, over 3 hours for 2 drinks, guac and 3 rice bowls. Honestly, this place is always subpar and I don't bother leaving a review but this time was just horrific. Never going back. Unfortunately, our dinner at Urbano Mexican Kitchen and Bar was quite disappointing. We ordered 2 Margaritas, Queso Dip, Birria Tacos and Garlic Parm Chicken Wings. The drinks took a while to come out, the restaurant wasn't even that busy, our server apologized which was nice however this was just the beginning of a mediocre experience. The Queso Dip bland & thin, Taco Bells cheese sauce Would be100 percent better. The Chicken wings are breaded & most likely frozen since some of the pieces were just Pieces that do not resemble a wing or a flap. The Chicken was sitting in a pool of the sauce that looked like a thickish Italian dressing that was not appetizing to the eyes. The Birria tacos were meh but that dish was the better of all three which Isn't saying much since the Queso was terrible for the price of $9.00. Heard good things about this place and wanted to try it out. It was a beautiful day out and we sat outside. It was on the earlier side (around 11:30am) and we decided on the Vegetarian nachos. We were looking for something quick to eat so that we could get back to shopping along the main avenue. We waited patiently and finally after about 20 minutes had to ask where our food was. We were told that it was "very slow in the kitchen. The old people in the kitchen are slow". It finally came out and it was tasty but not the best I've ever had. We asked for our check and again had to wait a bit. When we finally saw our waitress she came over and asked if we wanted anything else and I reminded her that we asked for the check. Did take a peek inside to check out the ambiance and it was lovely. Could see having a date night or party there but they need to work on their service levels first. read more

I love when I get to show my family somewhere new to eat! I have always loved to come here with friends and my mom has never gotten the opportunity to go. She absolutely fell in love with it. As soon as you walk in you're transported off of Main Street and into this calm ambient restaurant. It has dim lighting and Spanish music playing. Chips and salsa are given as complimentary, but I'm a guac lover so I also got a guac and both were equally amazing. They each had the right amount of spice in it and the tortillas were brought out warm and fresh. My mom had got a chicken rice bowl. I'd say it was a perfect serving. It's the kind of serving where you'll be full but you won't be overly full, it's just right. I had got my favorite, birria tacos! Ugh this is my favorite place to get them in Bethlehem. Just be careful when getting them they come out very hot so you have to wait a little for it to cool off. Everything has such exceptional taste. read more

Elote street corn as appetizer was good. Vegetarian Fajita consisted of onion, green & red bell pepper, mushroom, onion, zucchini, and cauliflower. And it was very good. Vegetarian Fajita also came with black beans and guacamole, which were both good. Steamed white rice was good with salsa, beans and vegetables, but does not come with meal. We have been loyal urbano customers for 15 years. We stopped in for dinner and waited over an hour for our food (tacos and quesadillas). It was not crowded. One of the entrees was served cold after a long wait. They also changed their menu and our favorite margaritas were absent from the menu, as were the guacamole variations. This was always our favorite restaurant in Bethlehem. After the latest visit we know that something has drastically changed. We will sadly bot be returning to this restaurant or any of the restaurants owned by the owners ( tapas, flying egg, pelican wine bar, etc. ) We were very disappointed. read more

The food was...well, can't tell you. Never got any. Couple next to us warned us that they had been there for an hour and were only able to order chips. I went to the bathroom, came out and my three family members were gone. Found them outside and then the bartender came outside. He seemed surprised we were leaving, but thirty minutes+ for a beer that's on tap is pretty nuts. When would the margaritas have came? And to clarify, the beer never came. The ambiance was cool, but the vibe just brought it down. A lot of people only had waters on their tables and you could feel the tension. Sitting outside would have been even worse despite the nice weather day after a string of high 30s. Waiting forever for your order to be taken can only get worse if you're waiting outside and can't see any of the employees. read more

Love getting a cocktail and some guacamole here. Really enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice! The service has declined the past few times I've visited... I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what's going on, would like to give the benefit of the doubt. We sat outside and it took almost an hour to get our first round of drinks and then another hour to get our food. Luckily we weren't in a rush, but our waitress wasn't apologetic or fazed by the lack of checking in or the length it was taking. Taco tuesdayyyyy. $2 a tacos is a great price! The tacos are decent and going at this prices it's a steal. The carne asada and pollo (more like pulled chicken than chicken chunks) weren't bad but my favorite was definitely the brisket. It probably takes 4 tacos to be full and $8 for a meal is awesome. I got the mango margaritas pitcher - it reminds me of Arizona's mucho mango but in an alcoholic version. It serves about 5 glasses and was pretty tasty not very strong. I would come back just for taco Tuesday not sure if I would for a normal day. Solid Taco Tuesday place ($3 tacos, with some exceptions). The frozen margaritas are yummy and generous. The veggie tacos (falafel, mushroom, and veg) are all good, the plantain on the veg taco is very good (slightly charred and sweet), all made even better with a side of green enchilada sauce. To be fair, I only usually order their veg tacos or bowls. I have tried the veg nachos (pretty good) and enchilada once (I'm good with just once), so I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but I am here quite often for Taco Tuesday:) Nice staff, nice bathrooms. My husband and I were visiting from out of town, our first time in Bethlehem. The sun was shining and the sidewalks were packed! It was a reminder of what life was like pre-COVID. We knew we wanted to sit outside and soak in as many rays as possible, but have a light late lunch knowing we were going to be having dinner in the area as well. Urbano was packed! A constant flow of patrons coming in and out. We were lucky enough to snag the last table outside to enjoy an adult beverage and share some good eats. Our server was very friendly, polite, and attentive. Complimentary salsa and chips to start, fresh guacamole, and a veggie quesadilla - all perfectly washed down with an ice cold beer. The veggie quesadilla was filled with beans and corn, mixed with goat cheese, and topped with a beautiful pineapple salsa. The combination of the creamy tart goat cheese offset by the sweetness of the pineapple was so well balanced. The guacamole had chunks of avocado, which I prefer, and loaded with onions, cilantro and tomato. My only suggestion would be adding some fresh lime juice and a dash of salt to add some acidity. read more

Outside seating with excellent service made our stop into this spot a great experience. The short rib tacos were excellent, as were the carnitas, though they each came with a single corn tortilla that just wasn't up to the mound of ingredients so we had to knife and fork it. I haven't left a review of a place in some time, takes a lot to get me to download an app and type words about my experience. Probably done with Urbanos, taco Tuesday maybe anything else probably not especially not to go. Ordered a califlower bowl and guac and chips. The woman taking my order I believed didn't ask me any questions about my guac which confused me so later I asked the other bartender if I could pay and the guac wasn't on the order. Guac was brown and small got it replaced but honestly don't trust it, looks and smells ok but I just rather not risk it. I have avocados at home they just weren't ripe so I think the universe was punishing my greed. Also got califlower rice bowl and it really was underwhelming like the ingredients were put into the bowl next to each other like on a lunch line at school and not seasoned?! Honestly I'm not sure what I was expecting. You know what's funny, a dog outside barked at me desperately before I went in to order. Was strange the owners comforted the dog but I didn't understand it at first. However, when I left before I had to replace the food the dog was as calm as could be. The damage was done at that point I should have listened to the dog before if went in to order. I later spoke to the dogs owners and their order was wrong as well ?maybe an off night for Urbanos we agreed. My wife and I loved urbano and it my favorite place to go for a margarita. We went in for my birthday to start our afternoon off with a drink and while the person who greeted us was kind and brought us chips and water, no bartender came out to take a drink order and we just sat there for over 5 minutes. We were the only people in the restaurant and it felt as though no one could be bothered to take a drink order or give us the time of day. I was really disappointed and we decided to just leave. Utter disappointment! The dinner started off fine, but the normally decent guacamole was made with overripened avocados and was disgusting. Second, the carne asada tacos arrived, and the steak tasted liked it was cubed and cooked a week ago. Dog kibble tastes better. I told the waitress, and she took it back and offered me another dish. We finished and the bill arrived. The original plate of dog food was never taken off the bill, and she resisted taking it off. The manager came over and double downed on their billing and literally said it was my fault for not knowing it would be twice the cost. Well, that is unethical, and the aggressive, bullying attitude of the manager made me and my wife extremely uncomfortable. So-so. Not dismissing it entirely, as it seems like it would be a fun place to get drunk off margaritas and eat appetizers to soak up the alcohol. But for a midday Saturday lunch the week before Thanksgiving, I was left wanting more and sorta wished we picked another place on Main Street. Our server was friendly but rushed the hell out of us. We just wanted to sit and chat but felt like we were being shooed out the door. I imagine that was due to the crowds from the ever-present bar crawl that seems to descend upon Bethlehem every weekend. I've been to this town twice now and both times every restaurant and bar is mobbed with gaggles of angled bob Karens in search of the next mommy juice and Urbano unfortunately is at the receiving end of this. As for the food, the fresh chips and salsa for the table were nice, but my mushroom tacos were so bland, the zesty avocado crema on top couldn't even salvage them. The other table also got their food before us. when we finally got our food the other table had already received their appetizers and food. My husband's food was incorrect. They offered to remake it but he didn't want to watch me eat. I ordered the churros French toast and it was served cold, although tasty. I went to Urbano yesterday evening with my boyfriend. We were craving Mexican and this resturant was close to my apartment so we decided to check it out. We were really hungry so we wanted to order some apps. We started off with the salsa's trio and the urbano taquitos. Both were delicious, the green sauce in the salsa trio was my favorite and I even put it on top of one of my taquitos. The taquitos were great, packed with flavor and the chicken was perfectly cooked. For our entrees we ordered the chicken quesadilla and the steak rice bowl. Both were great! Although, I did enjoy the rice bowl a bit more. The rice bowl had all fresh tasting ingredients and was delicious. I would highly recommend checking out Urbano if you are in the Bethlehem area!
