This was also on a holiday weekend of nontraditional flower delivery, Memorial Day which worried I'd get old flowers. I've ordered from Urban Stems 3 times now. The quality of Urban Stems is great, but I will say that the personal touches they used to provide have faded. Which was one of the reasons why I loved them so much. During my first two orders, same day delivery was available. You could pick a timeframe/window for delivery. The flowers would be delivered by car or bike messenger. And they would e-mail you a picture, showing the flowers being delivered. This 3rd time, same day was not an option, I could not choose a timeframe, the flowers were delivered by FedEx, so no picture confirmation. Those things really set this shop apart, to me, anyway. All that being said, they still offer free delivery, and as I said, the quality of the arrangements are great. Urban Stems will still be my go-to for sending flowers. read more

A fantastic company! I sent a plant to my wife -- but the delivery person dropped it right in front of her and left. So she was left with a broken plant. UrbanStems is not your ordinary florist, they are an EXTRAordinary, modern-day florist that truly embraces customer service and satisfaction. Today, they took customer satisfaction to another level. To start, their website is very intuitive, easy to use, and mobile device friendly. I have ordered from UrbanStem before without any issues so there wasn't a need to contact customer service. Their arrangements are definitely higher quality than any supermarket or local florist, and there is no charge for delivery. But with any good business, there are occasions when things do not work out just perfectly (customers can be so unreasonably demanding sometimes ;)). They delivered my order to my wife as expected and right on-time. My wife contacted customer service, Russ and Laura, and provided feedback on one of the flowers in the bunch without even telling me. My wife contacted me later in the day and literally teared up when she told me what Russ and Laura did. They sent a replacement and then topped it with additional flowers (better than my original order) and a sweet treat. WOW! I had to send UrbanStems customer service a high-five and thank you email afterwards, and when Russ responded, I was absolutely convinced they are committed to making wonderful experiences for their customers. When I called Urban Stems to ask what could be done, I was told that they could either send a new bouquet or just refund my money. When I asked what would be done to ensure that the replacement bouquet also didn't arrive dead, I was told by the Urban Stems representative that there was nothing more to be done, and I should just get a refund, which I did. I consider this the very least that the company could have done, considering that they completely ruined my mother's gift. Ordered peonies, not one peony in it. They tried again and sent me peonies - ugly (no extra greenery, etc) and they never opened. Ordered a bouquet for my mother for mother's day three weeks in advance yet it arrived the day after mother's day and guess what, none of the flowers ever opened. They arrive with no water and tips very dry. Despite following their directions they never opened on two of the three bouquets. And, haven't been offered a refund. The absurdity of how poorly ordering from these people went still shocks me. The lovely photo from their site is what I ordered, and I placed that order 4 days before Valentine's Day. According to their site, it would be no problem to get them delivered on Valentine's Day. I got my shipping confirmation the night before, and assumed we were going to be all good. Wrong. They didn't make it until the day after, which was bad enough. Then I opened the box, and to my dismay I found the other image inside. The customer service team sent a refund, but I just don't feel that it's enough. My concerns weren't addressed at all, they just basically said here is a refund, now go away. My daughter sent me a bouquet of flowers for Mothers Day from Urbanstems. They arrived on the Saturday before Mothers Day, but arriving on time for the holiday was the only good thing about the order. They were left at my front door in the Florida heat. Luckily, I was home and grabbed them when my Ring doorbell alerted me. I opened up the box and they were sent with no water or moisture pack so they were already wilting. It was a mixture of flowers and wild flowers, but I had to throw the roses out because they were already browned. The vase that they sent was cylinder shaped and it barely fit the stems. That straight a shape to the vase didn't allow the bouquet to spread out and look nice. Major disappointment.... especially when my other daughter presented me with a beautiful bouquet she picked up at the supermarket on her way over! read more

Zero stars this company is the worst. My daughter in Va order me in CA flowers for Mother's Day delivery May 8. It is now May 11 no flowers and after calling not expected the flowers to be delivered until May 13. How fresh do you think they will be lol. Call they will resend the delivery not arriving until May 18, tens days past Mother's Day only I am leaving on a trip the next day. So disappointed in this company. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. Their advertisement of delivery nationwide is not true In a timely manor especially for an important day such as Mother's Day. Truly Disappointed! First of all urbanstems did not deliver my flowers on time. The delivery was supposed to arrive on Valentine's Day. However, it arrived on the 18th of February in horrible condition! Beginning with a rattling sound in the Box. After opening the box, the etiology of the sound stemmed from a broken vase inside!Not only that, the flowers were not fresh at all,in fact petals were falling off , and the flowers were withered! Yes, bubble wrap was inside, however it did not prevent the vases from breaking ! I don't know if it was ups that delivered these flowers to my job or which company they use for delivery... BUT. since urbanstems had to pay them to deliver they should ask for a refund themselves! Because I believe the delivery Parson mishandled the package! Yet that does not explain why I missed out on their slogan promise of "one of the most magical Gifts of all fresh flowers!" . My flowers were not fresh they were dying. That broke my heart! I really was looking forward to having some beautiful flowers delivered to my job from my son-in-law and daughter! I believe urbanstems owes my son-in-law, Shareef McIntosh some type of explanation for this catastrophic event! I was going to post my video of my Flower delivery on Social Media, but instead of seeing a beautiful moment videotaped , It unfolded an unexpected disappointment! IT IS NOT ! I just want to make it clear- We contacted Urban Stems multiple times, before and after this review, and not once did they fulfill any promise they made- not even something as simple as a call back. UrbanStems- if you're reading this- Re-examine the statements you made to WP about why you started your business. You're no longer fixing a problem; you *are* the problem. You're hurting people on your way to dreams of DotCom start-up riches. Updated again- the offer to reach out you see in reply to this review? Another sham. E-mailed, got a canned response. Not even a real person. Either they have so many problems, they can't respond- or they're just paying lip service to make it seem they care. Kinda like their delivery service- over-promise, don't deliver. Update- they 'solved' the problem by not delivering flowers at all. If I wanted flowers not delivered and to make my wife feel like crap, I could've done that myself. Instead I paid $185 for them to do it for me :( Valentine's Day 2020, after having placed my order a week earlier, I received an e-mail addressed to Vanessa (I'm not Vanessa; neither is my wife) saying the flowers I had ordered, confirmed, paid for, and received a notice the night before as being complete and ready for delivery- were no longer available due to quality concerns. The email offered 2 choices- accept the sub-standard quality flowers (no description of issue) or accept a poor substitute. No option was given to make another selection for an extra cost or to cancel the order. After replying to the e-mail and asking for more options, no response was received after waiting an hour. Calling in, I was told there were no other options. Well, they did offer to let my wife watch other ladies get flower deliveries all day with none for her, and they would try and get my original order together for tomorrow. I couldn't even believe they saw that as an option. I was not even given the option to change from the vase my wife already has, to a different one. The 'Happiness Associate' on the phone kept suggesting I delay the delivery until tomorrow! Are you kidding me??? Reading their Bio, they say they are in business to remedy exactly this problem. No, they're in business to bilk people of their money by bait and switch tactics. I ordered the Saturday previous to VD, choosing from their large array of bouquets and ensembles. I monitored the updates they sent and was relieved to receive "We are confirming that your order has been prepped by our team and is ready for delivery tomorrow." at 1:17 PM Thurs afternoon. All for them to bait and switch at the last moment. If this is how they fix problems, they're not for me. It's hard to know whether the whole thing is just a sham- If my order was prepped and ready for delivery yesterday, why did I get an e-mail at 5AM Valentine's Day saying it wasn't ready? If they advertise choice and happiness, why was I given no choice and kept being pressed to select a choice which would obviously not make my wife happy? I guess you can order whatever you want, but you'll get what they decide to give you. Look at the prices- this is not a discount florist!
