So when researching where to go, Urbn Leaf's vibe really seemed like my jam. And luckily, it was. Everyone has been incredibly friendly, and are always willing to help me navigate this new (to me) space. Lines are well-managed and for the most part, pretty quick (except on weekends). They have daily specials for medical patients, but their normal prices also seem pretty competitive. Note that they do not take cards but do have an ATM inside. I went here to get something for medical use. The employee helped me out and I settled on a tincture which was not cheap. Knowing myself and how sensitive I can be to everything even something as natural as what I got, I made sure to find out their return policy. The employee that was helping me assured me that I can get a full refund within 30 days if I kept the receipt and original packaging. No where did this person even mention that I can only get store credit and not an actual refund. It was also the only the time I had ever used something with Cannabidiol in it. I even asked if there was anything I can sample because of this but instead I was told that I would have no problems with this product. So I bought it and decided I would trust their expertise. I ended up getting sick, more anxiety and drowsy. I'm not blaming that particular brand that I bought either. I just figured it is not for me and that everyone reacts differently to these things. I was disappointed it did not help me especially because I was hoping it would for my anxiety. So unfortunately I had to return it. I called them to explain to the employee that I would like to return it and why. I was put on hold so they could talk to their manager. I was thinking I would have no issues because I had the receipt and everything else. I was totally blindsided when they told me I can only return for store credit and I would have to buy something else as well. I tried to tell the manager that I was not told this by the employee that helped me out. I obviously do not want to buy anything else there for store credit if the natural stuff doesn't work for me. I feel really lied to. These people do not care about their customers at all. On top of that, the same employee lied and said they explained the return policy to me. They were also very cold and robotic with their answers almost like it didn't matter what I was saying. If they were just honest with me from the beginning we wouldn't have these issues. All they care about is making money. Do not trust them especially if you have never tried anything like this and don't know how you will react to it. Well I have to say that as a Gen Xer I am old school with my cannabis. That means a plant material that can be stuck in an implement, ignited and smoked now known as flower. I was here a couple of times and was pretty underwhelmed. I expected the kind of quality I'd seen in Amsterdam and Portland and did not get it. These guys are awesome. I went in last night around 8PM and my bud tender was super chill, made me comfortable, and listened to what I wanted. He also sold me a special joint for my bfs birthday coming up and gave me good knowledge about edibles. I left with a $16 special pre-roll (I believe he said it was coated with concentrate), a full gram of concentrate for $28 (ask for the house shatter) and I left with the Fire OG minis 1/8th for $25. When I got home and looked at my receipt I noticed they charged me $40 for the 1/8th instead of $25, which is the price that was on the bag and also what the budtender said it was, so I was confused. I called them today and the guy I spoke to was very helpful even though I lost my receipt (I hid it last night so my bf wouldn't see what I got and I hid it too well). He told me that the bud tender accidentally charged me for the $40 minis not the $25. Honest mistake. Then he asked me if I wanted to keep the flower and I said yes, I was happy with this one, so they credited me the $15 back on my account for me which will go towards my next purchase. I've been seeing signs for this place all over for some time now, and then a friend of mine suggested we check it out. Boy, am I glad I did. This place is incredible. The motif is very modern, clean, and comfortable. Everyone here was extremely helpful and friendly. I got an amazing deal on some flower and a freebie. Overall, this is what I believe the dispensary experience should be and I'm looking forward to coming back. Back after the first and this place still rocks! She tells me a 4hr plus wait for delivery is normal, and acceptable. Then proceeds to berate and belittle me for expressing my grievances. Interrupting me and trying to hush me. It was a nice experience just walking in the door. I do wish they had more topical and cbd products, but I understand that one place can't have everything. I recently moved to OB and heard a lot about urbnleaf and wanted to check it out. The front desk gals were very sweet and helpful. Once I got to the counter, I received very snobbish service almost like I was being an inconvenience to her with asking questions about the different strains. With several passive aggressive comments, I wondered how someone who works in the people business could dislike people so much. The quality of flower was good, but the service was poor. This used to be my go-to dispensary, but they recently changed their online ordering system from Potify to something else, and now the taxes have shot through the roof. For comparison, on a $150 order, I would pay about $173 previously when going through Potify. Now, through UrbnLeaf's new system, that same $150 order is now about $200. Same product with essentially a 20% increase in price. Oh, and they don't offer free delivery anymore. Also they have a "spend $100, get $20 promo" but it excludes 1/2 oz and 1 oz products. Why would that matter? Either I'm spending $100 or not. A bit of a shame b/c I really enjoyed this place, but I can find the same product at cheaper prices elsewhere. PS. Please list the cannabinoid percentages of the products on your website. It's a lot harder for a consumer to make an informed purchase when you don't include this most basic of information regarding the product. It's printed on your labels, so why can't you put that on the website as well? read more

It appeared that in my last purchase, the salesperson was trying to "sell me up", to a more expensive product, not offering me lots cheaper alternatives --but I kept on pushing & finally got the "let me talk to my manager" speech, & voila, came back w/a smaller sized product for a lot less. I am a medical patient, & honestly: we have been thrown under the bus by BIG Pharma, I'd really appreciate the dispensary not falling into this category. This place is one of the most upscale dispensaries in SD. I personally like that there's a security scan. The guards are nice and tell you to have a nice day when you leave. If you have a medical card you can skip the line. The shop itself is very clean and brightly lit and the design is aesthetically pleasing. They have a good selection, especially for vapes, which I like. Their edibles section is a little small right now but they told me that was due to legalization. The staff is very friendly and they are willing to walk you through all their items and give recommendations. I even apologized for taking up so much time but they just smiled and said that's what they were there for. I've already recommended this place to a few people and will continue to do so. read more

It's a cute boutique style shop, very modern and clean. The bud tenders have always patiently answered my questions and given spot on recommendations. I once had to return something due to it being defective and it was accepted with no problem whatsoever. The wait can be long, especially during peak hours. If you go before 11am, you will likely walk right in. The waiting room is super comfortable though. Don't worry about being bored while waiting though. The security guard Theo will make your wait time fly by. He keeps everyone moving to where they need to be but he does it with efficiency and style. Clowning on your football team or genuinely asking you about your day, Theo really adds to the experience. Other security guards should take note. You don't have to control people by being a dick. When you treat everyone with respect, they are more likely to behave and treat you the same way. You're the best Theo! read more

I had heard about this place from a friend and decided to check it out. Had no issues until I was inside the MJ room. I stood in the recreational line for at least 10 minutes while they took all of the express customers ahead of us. Now, I understand that the express customers get to do things faster. It just seemed weird that they only took the express customers and then handled the recreational users instead of taking one customer from the express line and then another from the recreational. Once I got to the budtender, I felt super rushed. I asked her about edibles and flowers, but I guess she just heard the edible and plunked a bag of gummies on the table. I said that they looked good and she just started ringing me up for them. I'll admit that I probably should've spoken up before handing over my money, but I have social anxiety (hence the MJ). Nice selection of weed products, including tinctures, pre-rolls,vape cartridges and edibles. I was a tad disappointed that they were out of the pre-rolls that are covered in kief (awesome!) but, Hey- supply and demand, right? Prices are good for great quality cannabis, especially since the state of California seems hell-bent on taxing weed until it bleeds. So much of the price can be attributed to greedy politicians.
