We arrived about 5pm on a Sunday night and were seated immediately. Service was friendly and our food was tasty. We don't get to Edgewater much so we went for the gusto - burgers, tater tots and . . . loaded fries. The burgers were nicely seasoned and cooked just as requested. I kept it simple and effectively got a classic cheeseburger from the CreateURown menu. My husband took it up a notch and had bacon relish added to his burger. He stuck with plain tater tots and I went wild with loaded fries that included cheese and bacon. The fries really hit the spot and my husband enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast the next morning, with an egg on top. Speaking of breakfast, URBurger serves breakfast too. Overall, I like this place and plan to return with my family when I'm in town. I've had the border burger more than once and I really like it. The fries are great. My wife loved the firecracker shrimp wrap. Service is friendly and attentive. Plenty of space between indoor tables. My one complaint: The waitress with the long fingernails, who was very sweet, brought us the take-home boxes with the vinyl bill wallet firmly inside. Yes, the boxes were open because they were stacked and the black bill wallet was right on top, inside the interior of the top box. That can't be good, germwise. Actually, the table and chairs weren't wiped off either, but I think that's got more to do with timing than anything else. I'm not pointing any of this out to be cruel. Breakfast is simple, delicious, and we'll cooked dinner quality food. As always, the burgers are still great, as is the service. Speaking of service, I have been coming here since they opened. Anyone complaining about the quality of food they received only needs to ask and they will fix it. The one time of my over 20 times eating here when my burger was overcooked, they happily replaced it and comped the cost of the burger for me. This is a great neighborhood restaurant. Stopped in on our way to the water. Hadn't tried a URBurger before, but there weren't many options in the area if we wanted something relatively quick and wanted to avoid the typical fast food joints. We ordered things to go, and walked away with a Hickory, an Avocado, a Border, and a Create Your Own (for our minimalist who likes only cheese, lettuce, onion, and ketchup) burger. All four of us loved them. They were perfectly cooked and the toppings were tasty. This place leave Red Robin-type chains in the dust. The burgers were juicy and tasty. Almost too juicy to eat in the car. The next time we're in the area, we'll sit down and relax . . . and enjoy the place - the ambiance is nice. The only real complaint I had was the long wait for a to-go order. I do regret not getting shakes. While we waited at least 10 other people came in to get takeout. Most of them ordered shakes. Once we saw them, we regretted not getting them. However, we didn't want to add to the wait time. The people behind the counter were very nice and helpful. So I just went Vegan 10 days ago and I was looking for a spot with a good Black Bean Burger! So my helpful Yelp app directed me here. Ms Healy was the young lady that waited on my son and I. I let her know that I just went Vegan and she congratulated them also gave me the honest truth about the Black Bean Burger..... My boyfriend and I were in the area for a college football game and came across URBurger. I love typing "burger" (or "steak" or whatever we're in the mood for - clearly never "veggies") into Yelp when I'm in a new area and looking for a place name I've never heard of with the most/darkest red stars available. For this part of MD, URBurger was it. The restaurant is in a freestanding building. Definitely not a fancy burger spot, but also a few steps above drive-through. They have a carry-out counter in the front and a good sized dining area with seat-yourself tables and a bar. I ordered the Hickory Burger (blackened, blue cheese crumbles (hold this please), sauteed mushrooms and bacon) and the bf ordered the Border (pepper jack, grilled jalapenos, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo). Our burgers were both juicy and cooked to the medium well perfection that we specified. I love when you can taste the freshness of the meat, the grilled and/or blackened char - clearly not prepackaged and frozen. Delicious. My one gripe about the place is that you have to order fries separate which we both did, but let it be known I hate when places do this. Worth it though because the fries were hot and crisp. Ask for a side of the chipotle mayo - it's more chipotle than mayo which is rare but very much appreciated. For a burger place, their menu is a little more extensive than you'd think. They have salads and other sandwiches in case a big beefy patty isn't your thing. Flip their menu over and they have a pretty good list of breakfast items too- eggs, pancakes, stuffed french toast, breakfast burritos and mimosas and bloody marys to boot. For the lunch and dinner crowd, they have boozy adult milkshakes that I will have to look into for next time. But my oreo milkshake to-go was pretty good, though I prefer mine chunkier with bits of cookie to chew on. Fast and friendly service and yummy food. Check their board for daily specials ($5 burgers all day on Wednesdays, Kids eat Free on Mondays and Thursdays, etc). Overall a great place for burgers and (apparently) beyond. read more

Got the Swiss burger and not satisfied. Flavorless. The sweet potato fries and garlic fries were extra greasy. My daughter tried the chicken wings. Lord, the amount of feathers those wings had. Oh I wanted to like my burger, but it was just bad. I got the turkey burger and it looked so processed (perfect circle) and it was grossly chewy. My son got a regular burger and he said it was chewy as well. Unfortunately I would not recommend either of these. Maybe their other foods are better-but it seems like they aren't sure what they want to be: breakfast place, salad, burger, etc. Edgewater needs a great burger joint, they should just focus on having the best burgers. read more

We really liked fried pickles and spices sauce. The coleslaw was pretty good. The Oreo milk shake was the best! Would love to try the adult milkshakes next time. Honestly, I found this spot by searching Yelp randomly and the pictures drew me in. Came in for the cheesesteak and the bartender pointed me to other people there who also got the cheesesteak but as we both looked over, their plates were empty Even though they didn't have them for long. But then the bartender told me they are known for their burgers so I started there instead. The food was excellent, I personally experienced great service on a Sunday evening. The boneless wings, were extremely juicy for white meat. Extremely juicy. The burger was amazing. Definitely got money's worth plus more. Their bread was perfect in the way that it caught all the burger juice without making the bread wet. Seriously, who compliments the bread on a burger review??! The burger didn't last long, their fries were great and the shake was thick, just the way I prefer. I came back the very next day to try other things on their menu, just waiting for the food now. We live in Marlboro Country and food options around here are limited. Found URBurger in our endless quest to find and support decent, locally owned restaurants. It's in Edgewater so it's a bit of a haul, but I love the drive out 214 E, take it over 301 N any day. The place has a wide-open floor plan, nice decor, clean and is seat yourself. Friendly server stopped by immediately, drink orders within first 5 minutes, food order in within 10, and food arrived within about 25-30 minutes of walking in. Their burgers are a solid 4, and the quality of meat and prep blows away any of the chains people in these parts bring up in the context of good burgers. They know how to consistently cook a medium burger, just the right amount of pink, looseness/crumble. Technically Chad's has a better burger, but it can be impossible to get a seat at Chad's on a Friday night this time of year and this place is no slouch. I had the Hickory Burger - a blackened burger with bleu cheese crumbles, mushrooms and bacon. The bleu cheese is not the watered-down stuff - pungent, potent, nostril clearing stank just like it's supposed to be and you better love bleu cheese if you get this one. My son had the build your own. Burgers are Ala Carte. Fries are a good option, not on par with the burger but decent. The tots, yes - they have Tater Tots are great and go well with the burgers. Total bill with tip was $30 even. Everything we ordered was top notch! We have tried different food up and down the menu. The only problem is the distance from home (about 30 miles) to restaurant so we don't get a chance to eat at UR burger unless we are shopping in Annapolis.
