Rufus burger

We got takeout and about half of it was excellent and the other half was very mid. The burgers were great - this is the only place that has ever asked for a temperature on a smash burger, and they made it correctly. The smoked chicken was amazing, the pulled pork (on top of the burger!) was excellent. However, the fries were limp and under-seasoned and the brisket steak and cheese was so dry and overcooked we did not eat it. The restaurant also got our order wrong in multiple ways. Check your bag before you walk out the door.

Steak and shrimp

Great quick service and very friendly. When walk in very clean friendly staff. The smell of the food when walk in is great. The steak is seasoned very good, the mac and cheese very good. The coleslaw and the shrimp good as well. Would recommend trying this place out.

A "medium" smash burger

Unfortunately overpriced. Dry/stale food, not cooked to order. Staff was friendly at least.

Smash burger w/ lettuce and tomatoes added and tater Tots

I stopped in here for lunch while I waited to pick up a bakery order nearby and I am so glad that I did. The place gave me sports bar vibes with plenty of seating. The seating is self serve so I picked my seat and a waitress came to my table quickly with a menu. The menu here is pretty diverse with your typical bar food, burgers, wings, and surprisingly barbecue. I ordered a smash burger well done with lettuce and tomato added with a side of tots and a Pepsi. My food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. My burger, although well done, was not dry had crispy edges and was well seasoned. My tots were hot and crispy. Throughout my lunch, my waitress was very attentive and pleasant. I definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the mood for a burger and I'll be back to try some other things on their menu.

Good service, yummy food, and clean atmosphere - I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty much empty. The restaurant has table service. We were able to order fairly quickly and our food came out hot and fresh in a decent amount of time. I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was good, but I wish it had thick Turkey rather than the thin lunchmeat. The flavors were good and the raspberry sauce was a perfect partner. It was on French toast and the edges tasted better than the center of the pieces of bread. I was excited it was on the menu (because it is rare to find), but probably wouldn't reorder it. The rest of my family was pleased with their burgers (smash burgers). We also order the fried pickles, which were good. Next time I would love to try breakfast and mimosas. I was excited to see $5 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday.

Great lunchtime fast service, good food and nice atmosphere. Delicious...firecracker shrimp wrap w/o the wrap and green beans side.

2.5 pieces of bacon

I've been here twice and each time the food was awesome and plentiful. This time however I ordered a BLT to go and they missed the mark by a mile. I've added min ages of my sand which versus what they have on their site and the difference is amazing. For a $7.00 sandwhich you get 2 1/2 pieces of bacon and enough lettuce to make a salad. 2 of the smallest nastiest tomatoes they could find... and that's what you get for $7.00 now. Seriously... how much is it to add a decent enough of bacon? Recommendation to URBURGER Management .... Please rename the Sandwhich to "Salad Sandwhich with Bacon Bits"..... that would be more appropriate.

Beautiful S.

Just left this place picking up an online order and I will NOT return. I should've asked for my tip back. The heavy hitter aka the short and Humpty Dumpty chick with the blonde hair that was servicing the bar area was rude af. I didn't wanna grab my bag and leave without them knowing. So when she finally came over, I told her my name and she replied with an attitude, "you could've just grabbed it". And then to add insult to injury, none of the food, especially the $10 Smash Burger, was worth it.

Burger was very good. Fries were not greasy like at other businesses. Onion rings were great. Call in order and ready upon arrival.

Having said that, it was pretty well run and after waiting in line I found two registers waiting and was able to order a variety of baked goods and a fresh sandwich, which were prepared for me quite speedily. I wouldn't expect to be in and out immediately at peak times, but for me it was maybe forty-five minutes to wait in line, get food, and eat my sandwich. They offer good options for special dietary needs. The vegan sandwich is based on Old Bay marinated tofu, and they are not kidding about that. It is really, really Old Bay flavored. The tomato and avocado livens things up, but honestly the best part of the sandwich was still the sourdough bread, which is fair enough for a bakery. The spread of pastries I acquired was resplendent in quality and variety, and I will be happy to continue trying out all the Black Market locations to see which one is the most convenient.

The efficiency from start to finish was amazing. The breakfast sandwich was awesome. The sourdough bread was perfect and all of the ingredients were really fresh. The presentation of the assembled and packaged sandwich was a ten. Though so many menu items looked delicious, I had to try the oatmeal cream pie- it was amazing. The cookies were buttery and soft. The cream filling was soft and sweet. I would definitely return for another breakfast sandwich.

I made a takeout order and got the crab cake omelette (w/ a biscuit) $18.29, legendary scone: Blueberry $3, single blueberry pancake $2.89, single maple bacon pancake $2.89, and single cinnamon roll pancake $2.89. - The crab cake omelet was my 2nd favorite as they surprisingly didn't skimp on the crab additions. The biscuit was just alright, but luckily it's best once combined with omlette to make a good sandwich. - The blueberry scone was probably my favorite, as it was pretty good. It was moist, fresh, and well done. - The trifecta of pancakes ranged from just okay to decent, and my ranking would go blueberry, maple bacon, and then cinnamon roll. For some odd reason, the texture of the cinnamon roll pancake was notably inferior to the other 2. Overall, my experience was quite a good one due to the scone and crab omelet delivering the most. -- #issa.cheatday

Sometimes, you let life take you down an unknown street and the journey becomes a treasured trip…read more That is what happened when we decided to try Harper's Waterfront on Turkey Point. We had heard that a new restaurant had opened up there and we were wondering where to eat. A few options drifted through our heads before finally settling on Harper's. Boy, did we find a real gem of a restaurant! The dining room, still decorated for Christmas, was so charming. Modern, a little rustic, but very nice and comfortable. The seats were cozy. The lighting was a bit bright but that's not so bad. And the place was clean, clean, clean - from the hostess table to our dining table to the nicely decorated bathroom and even the floors. Everything was clean! Abbey, our server, was friendly and interesting to talk to. She spent so much time talking to us that we were monopolizing her time. She was well spoken, very attractive, attentive and - simply put - a nice person. Likewise, all the staff seemed friendly and professional. But - it's always about the food, isn't it? The food here was really good. We both started out with the cream of crab soup, a dish that we use as the "canary in the cave" to tell us about a new restaurant. Well, the soup won us over from the 1st slurp. Creamy of course - but luxurious even! No hint of a flour taste at all. Beautifully seasoned with just enough Old Bay! Okay, so maybe there could have been more crab in there but, the crab that was in the soup, was big, lumpy and pure! The flavor of the soup was fantastic! My main course was the rockfish piccata. OMG was I impressed! The size of the fish serving was outrageously big. I actually told Abbey that the piece of fish was too big (but only AFTER I had eaten every bite). The first bite told me that I was going to finish it one way or the other! And I did!!! It was a beautiful piece of fish. It was the largest piece of fish I think I have ever been served. The fish was served "skin on" which I usually do not like but in this case it added to the Chesapeake Bay atmosphere of the restaurant. The piccata sauce was perfect - lemony with lots of capers. Maybe a bit too hard on the salt but that did NOT decrease my enjoyment! I just drank more water and had another Arnold Palmer! My spouse got the crab cake sandwich. He loved it and said it was the real deal (meaning that it's Maryland crab meat). He of course ate the whole thing PLUS - I want to point out - he ate a substantial part of my rockfish and I didn't even notice it was missing!!! I hesitate to write this review because I do not want Harper's to get so crowded that I can't get a table when I want to return (and I WILL return). However, Harper's is a great place to get some great food in a delightful atmosphere with great service! I highly recommend this place!!!

My only real complaint is the hours; they're only open to 1pm (1:30pm mostly, but it was shortened by a half hour during the summer, from what the note said). The food continues to be good, your standard breakfast fare mostly. There are dishes beyond that, but it generally fits the brunch mood. The décor is fine; place is always clean, furnishings look well kempt. The service was also great. We arrived around 12:45 and they sat us without any hesitation. (No calls of "well, we're closing soon...") The prices are very affordable, especially compared to similar sit-down establishments. Plus, you shouldn't be leaving hungry! You get what feels like a field's worth of potatoes per order! LOL! This isn't a complaint, more of a note: the location might be hard to see from the road. It's in the same shopping center as the PetSmart, but it's tucked away in the back. If you can see the PetSmart, you're nearly there, just keep looking towards the far end of that little strip of shops. It's in the second building tucked away in the corner. Again, not a complaint, just a heads up. It's a great alternative to fast food greasy food and the other chains of diner-like offerings. Quaint, cozy, and well worth the value for your breakfast buck.
