After waiting 1.5 hours, I was informed that they had no X-ray tech on site while I was seeing the provider and requested to go to their cedarhurst location. The medical assistant was very rude. Why would an urgent care center hire a someone so completely disinterested in helping people when they are sick. I purposely tried to go here at approx 9:45 pm because hoping it would be less busy so late. I checked the website and the door sign earlier and both stayed open till midnight. When I got there I was told they close at 10pm and weren't taking any more patients. They would not let me in. So I called and asked why all signs and the phone recording said 12. She replied that that they didn't need to change the sign. Then she hung up on me. I was not rude, just in pain and trying to see the doctor. This urgent care is honestly one of the worsts I've ever been to . I've been here about 7 times over the years only because late at night there's not really any other option . Once I went In for chest pains they did and ekg and the doctor told me I had heart disease and that the ekg was very alarming. I was so so worried about it until I finally made an appointment with a cardiologist and they did a bunch of tests and I was totally fine. I am also a 23 year old healthy female with no pre existing heart conditions. Fast forward to today I went in for a rapid covid test which was anything but rapid. If the wait is long I understand that if there's a lot of patients I also understand that but there wasn't that many patients . I got my rapid test which I was told takes only 15 minutes and I was instructed to wait in my car. 15 mins go by 20 mins go by finally at the 35 minute mark I decide to call and I can't get through . I tried 4 times then decided to go in . The receptionist didn't recognize me though I was just in there 40 mins prior. She was extremely rude and just plain nasty to me . Also earlier while I was waiting she was very nasty to this man that had come in, he was rude first to her but it's her job to remain professional. She mocked him in a waiting room full of patients which is never ok. Also this women who had a a language barrier was trying to explain something and she wasn't really able to explain herself that well and the receptionist was so Belittling to her while the other receptionist was actually laughing out loud at that poor women. I don't know who is doing the hiring at this place or where these employees are coming from but they seriously need a big change . I am in the medical field , I have worked many different positions and those receptionist do not deserve to hold those jobs . read more

My ankle was swollen for no apparent reason and I didn't want to wait for an appointment at my doctor nor go to the emergency room. Enter: urgent care. Intake was fast. The lady at the front desk was very nice and even offered bottled water. I was taken to an examination room relatively quickly. Unfortunately after that I waited a while for the doctor to come in. I had to get an x ray taken. That was fast, but it was another long wait before I got the results. All in all I was in there for 2 hours, a bit longer than I thought. It turned out to be nothing, but it's nice to have this option nearby when it's not an emergency but you don't want to wait for your primary doctor. read more

I've come to this location with my toddler several times and had a pretty ok experience. The female doctor on call was patient and attentive to my child so I was grateful for that. The others were also very pleasant to deal with. FAST FORWARD: to today, I'm greeted by a woman name Sueannes at the front desk. She is a complete nightmare! It took everything in me to keep calm. She was extremely rude and condescending. I had to check her in the nicest way possible but she was asking for me to lay her ass out. Not to mention once I asked to speak to the doctor to report her, she started to raise her voice at me! Luckily another woman came from the back and was extremely helpful and nice. We have come here a few times and always had positive experiences. Yesterday, I took my 10 year old son in for an ear ache. The doctor prescribed him amoxicillin as he had an ear infection. She told me she sent the prescription to my pharmacist. I waited about 2 hours to pick it up and when I went there, I was told it was never called in. I tried calling Urgent Care and left messages as nobody was answering the phone. I then used their text service and again, they said someone would call me but I never received one. I continued to call until I finally got someone on the line. I was transferred to a physician and she apologized and said the prescription was sent again. Of course now my pharmacy was closed. I went today after work to pick it up and AGAIN was told there're was no record of my prescription being sent in. I called from the pharmacy and was given the run around. The man on the phone then proceeded to tell me that there was no prescription because my son came in for an x-ray! By now I became angry and told him my son did not have an x-ray done he had an ear infection! He was so confused kept telling me to hold. Then told me he can't authorize the prescription and would need to call me back. I refused to hang up and told him I would like to speak to a manager. By the time she got on she finally was able to resend it, didn't apologize and just hung up! The pharmacists behind the counter couldn't believe what they just witnessed! I can't believe how difficult it was just to get my son's prescription script. It seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. Very disappointed and will not ever return there!!! read more

If i could give this place 1 star i would... From the moment I walked in, until I was taken into the room and upon leaving i felt more uncomfortable than I have ever felt at any office. During the worst times of our lives and a pandemic, almost all employees were without a mask including the technician who called patients in from the waiting area. Nothing was being cleaned, after people were called in- the chairs was not sanitized. There was no hand sanitizer in the place to even use after touching their pens etc. once the assistant had taken me into the room she had already had her gloves on, did not change them nor sanitize her hands after touching the door/computer/chair. I was really taken back and disgusted for her to then touch me and perform a test on me. Its been 6 days since I've been there and still WITHOUT my results. Each time I call i am told they are not in yet. I called quest myself and it took them 15 minutes to even find me in the system. Once they did they told me the results aren't in yet, as the doctor didn't mark it urgent, healthcare workers are the priority. This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. I only came here because all the MD urgent cares had 2+ hour waits. Well.. no wonder why. They are sanitary, they perform the tests correctly, and provide results within 2-3 days hence why everyone goes there and this place had no wait. I will NEVER return here even if i was on my death bed. read more

Absolutey awful. Got here as fast as possible off an international flight to make it before closing. They close at 12 made it at 11:56. My girlfriend has a UTI and desperately needed the medication. 2 women sitting at the desk refused to acknowledge her and wouldnt buzz her into the building. Could see them talking with their head down purposely ignoring her. Pathetic, this is supposed to be serviced based and helping people with emergencies. Instead they all wanted to walk out the door exactly at 12, ignoring my girlfriend who needed a total of about 5 minutes of their help. The entire desk staff should be ashamed of themselves. So my husband fell off a ladder last night went to Urgent MD in Hewlett MISTAKE was that I should have noticed when I said I had no insurance they said that we make sure to pay the bill before leaving, and repeated it a few times. I told her I understood, when we got in the back, they took X-rays and said it's not broken not severely swollen and bruised, advising us to R.I.C.E. at no point did they say to take anything for pain or even attempt to write a prescription. So last night My husband had DISCOMFORT so when I called today I got Juda at the front desk and he advised me Hewlett is closed till 4PM, he would get Dr. Lans who was on staff where he was at to call me back, I was on the phone with him for 26 minutes. I found out that there are people he said I would be surprised that want drugs for pain who don't need them. I told him, in this case, we only need it for discomfort in sleeping. then he transfrerred me to Robert the supervisor so I could let him know my concerns, we got disconnected after 6 minutes, when he called back I was on hold to speak with Dr. Lana, I explained that now for over 40 minutes I was just trying to get my husband something for the discomfort, she right away was like I looked at his Xray and my concern is that if he is in so much pain (which I never said he was in all that pain) he may have compartmental Syndrome and I would need to see him or refer him to the ER. (now mind you I never said anything about how he feels today just the discomfort he had last night.) I said I do not understand how we got to now wanting to see him for this syndrome. I asked if she could call they Dr. who saw him last night and call something in, as we will see how the next few days go. She said I am not understanding her and she would have Dr. Van the medical director call me. (it has now been 40 minutes and no call back) What I am so upset about is the man is a 54-year-old NON-smoker, NON-drinker and NOT a druggie, why all morning I cannot get them to DO THEIR JOB and call in the script!!!!!! so I do not have to have him in discomfort to sleep at night. I have been to this location several times over the past year, and they have been nothing but helpful and very kind. Yes, you wait in the office to see the doctor, but I haven't waited any longer there that I had at any other doctor Ive seen. I was there yesterday for a problem and we had a hiccup with my getting a shot. Not only did they do everything they could to make sure I was taken care of, but after the hiccup everyone made sure that I was ok and apologized for any inconvenience it may have caused. read more

In and out less than 1 hour! Quick, clean, efficient. I came here in the evening 1 week ago. I drove from Elmont, because I couldn't find an urgent care that was open so late. The office was immaculate. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The receptionist took all my info, took about 5 minutes, offered me a bottle of water while I waited. Shortly after all my registration was done, a medical assistant took me in the back where I received my vitals. Within minutes after the medical assistant was with me, a doctor shortly popped in the room. I was offered to have my medication electronically sent to the pharmacy. Absolutely horrible experience, doctor had a rapid strep and flu test done on spot and walked into the room saying I have the flu with no justification as I had absolutely no flu symptoms. Then proceeded to take a completely unnecessary exam that cost 1,000 without even disclosing any information. This was after taking rapid strep and flu which came back negative. This nose swab taken to test for a viral infection of course came back clean because all I had was a common cold. This doctor was just looking to get as much money from my insurance after which I was stuck with a 350 dollar bill. No true care for people , just a rip off. Don't go here! read more

I went to the Hewlet Urgent Care center right before midnight because I injured my hand terribly. The staff was so lovely and took me right in. They did a hand xray and Dr. Frisella stitched my hand up very well. He was so reassuring and made me feel comfortable due to my circumstances. They all had a great sense of humor. The doctor told me to come back for a follow up which I did in the cedarhurst urgent care, which as well the staff was all so lovely. Both urgent cares were very clean and organized. read more

As a medical provider, I can strongly recommend you seek urgent care needs elsewhere. I have never been treated so rudely on the phone by a receptionist, Cheryl - who then transferred me to a "manager" who was also extremely rude with no regard to patient care or continuity of care. If your primary care doctor needs information on the care you received there - judging by what I experienced today - they will not get the info they need. This is a good place to go with a few exceptions. The ease of walking in with a fairly short waiting period is always a plus. Everyone who I met was very nice and accommodating in every way. The drawbacks are two. They keep you shut in a tiny room with the door shut and cite a nonexistent law not to open the door because of HIPA regulations. I imagine they want the door shut so you won't see the doctors lounging around chatting while you are waiting and sick. The other; you don't ever see a doctor! Although the PA I saw was charming and efficient, you are paying and expecting to see a doctor. It's like paying for a lawyer and having a paralegal show up. read more

Went in after a fall. Elbow was swollen Dr on call said X-ray not necessary and sent me home with a tightly wrapped bandage. Arm swelled up overnight and turned blue.
