I love this gourmet donut shops in LA. These donuts are made from scratch every day. That is why they taste fresh with every bite. I love that their donuts are not overly sweet and almost like a cake consistency. Donuts are dense, slightly crisp on the outside, but moist on the inside. Their inventive toppings are what make them stand out from the other donut shops. My favorite flavor is Huckleberry! This donut is packed with huckleberries that give tart flavor from berries but yet sweetness from the cake-like dough. It has all the flavors of sweet, buttery, tangy, and fruity that burst in your mouth with every bite. And these donuts are well deserved to be eaten with their cup of coffee. Highly recommend these donuts to make you smile during your difficult days.

I gotta say they do have a lot of cool flavors to choose from but it's hard to make that choice when the staff is standing there staring at you. Can you give me a moment? lol. Or some guidance would've been welcomed. So I felt too overwhelmed and got their plain glaze donut and a matcha latte. Look, it was good. Would I have had a similar or better experience down the street somewhere half the price? Yes (strictly speaking donuts, not matcha). So I'd say it's a great place to go to gift donuts as they look unique and special, or a good place to go if you simply want an elevated vibe situated in a good location with some outdoor seating. Maybe I'll get to try a super fancy donut one day and update my review, but overall nice spot :)

We ordered a cold brew and a flat white. It took a long time to get them. My flat white was so tiny I had to laugh. The flavor was not desirable to me.

We got there right when they opened last Saturday and got a couple vanilla donuts, a chocolate one, and the Benedict malasada as well as a coffee and a hot chocolate. The donuts were okay but not remarkable, however the Benedict malasada was oddly good! And the donuts are priiiiicey!!! The hot chocolate was delicious tho! The customer service was totally fine and the way they display the donuts is quite appealing, however the barista took a while to make 1 coffee and 1 hot cocoa (and we had been the first in line). They have a small outside seating area, but that was empty at 6:30am when we were there.

Never heard of Sidecar Doughnuts up until they collared with Summer Fridays on the launch of their new pink dew gel cleanser. I purchased the specialty Summer Fridays doughnut Coconut Cloud it was delicious the dough was very soft and buttery. The flavor was also the perfect amount of coconut, I normally don't like cherries but this doughnut did have a cherry drizzle which wasn't bad either. There is a patio with seating available. Plenty of parking in rear of the building. I'll be back to try the house doughnuts, I'm sure they're just as good.

Biscoff Cookie Butter Doughnut (seasonal) 10/10!!!

This Sidecar Doughnuts experience was a 10/10. I love their doughnuts. A friend got me a gift card and since then my life has been forever changed. They have both classic and seasonal flavors. I love their huckleberry doughnut with the berry glaze, it's so fruity and light tasting. More of a cake-y style doughnut. They also have yeasted doughnuts as well if that's more your thing. I have had some absolutely delicious seasonal flavors. In the summer, their passion fruit doughnut was absolutely amazing. This holiday season, I just tried the biscoff Cookie Butter doughnut which was perfect. Nicely spiced doughnut, with Biscoff glaze and fresh, crisp Biscoff cookies. Makes me feel like a kid again. The manager at the store Jason was so so helpful. Helped me pick the right doughnut and went above and beyond to make sure I got good service and was well taken care of. They have the classic tile floors, and I love their marble tables outside. It is such a vibe. Will come soon, I just love trying out their new seasonal flavors. Great place to get a box of doughnuts for loved ones or an office!

Wow, sidecar never ceases to amaze. This is probably my favorite donut store of all time - the donuts here have more of a cake-like texture, and are not like many others which have a fluffy fried texture. They have a large selection of flavors, with seasonal ones too - would recommend the huckleberry, butter & salt, and passionfruit pavlova when they have it. Not much seating as it is mainly to-go. Parking at this location is a little tight, there is a small lot in the back shared by businesses on this block, otherwise only street parking.

Sidecar Doughnuts was a great stop! The inside was very clean, bright, and welcoming, and the donut presentation looked fantastic. The only downside was that there weren't many donut options left when I visited around 11 a.m. I did have to wait a little while they made more., Even then, the donuts I tried were delicious and definitely lived up to the hype. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

One of the best donuts in the city; consistent, good variety, and most importantly delicious. Their butter and salt and old fashion donuts are must-tries.

A fun doughnut venture that's worth at least a 1x try in your life. They certainly have unique flavors that is not found at your common mom & pop doughnut shops. I ordered online and picked up in-person. I did have to wait ~ 5-10 minutes passed my pick-up time, but that didn't bother me too much since I knew they were hard at work making the doughnuts fresh in-house. Parking is street-metered parking. The overall aesthetic gives this "bougie doughnut shop" vibe. I ordered the following mostly to try out a variety of flavors... -6 pack (Huckleberry, Butter & salt, Bourbon Pecan Pie, Pumpkin cheesecake, 2 pumpkin chai protein) -Apple Fritter -Basil Eggs Benedict Minus a MAJOR STAR because when I ordered online, it gave me the option of pumpkin chai protein. However, when I went to pick it up, they auto-subbed it without communicating with me if it was ok with Saigon Cinnamon and another pumpkin cheesecake. I wish they would be more professional and call me or at least inform me in-person when I went to pick up my order that they did not have the pumpkin chai protein flavor (apparently it's only a Thursday item) and ask if I had a preference in what to substitute it with. 1. Butter & Salt (3.5/5) One of their most classic and popular flavors is this old-fashion cake-based donut. It was moist and had a good balance of butteriness and a slight savoriness from the salt. It reminds me of Butterbeer from Harry Potter 2. Huckleberry (4.5/5) Another highly popular flavor is this old-fashion cake-based doughnut that's infused with fruity flavors. You get a subtle tartness from the fruity parts. 3. Saigon Cinnamon (2/5) A cake-based doughnut that is lightly glazed on top and coated in cinnamon powder. Overall, it was not too sweet, had a doughy texture and decent cinnamon flavor. If you like something more simple, this is a good choice. Personally, I didn't find anything special about this flavor and can easily pass on it 4. Pumpkin cheesecake (3/5) A cake-based doughnut that's mixed with a subtle blend of fall pumpkin spice flavor; I feel the flavor was not robust enough. It's then glazed over. I didn't taste the cheesecake flavor at all, but it was extra moist and more doughy than the other donuts, so that's probably what they were trying to get at. I could make do without this 5. Bourbon Pecan Pie (4.25/5) An airy, yeast-based doughnut that's coated/soaked in bourbon/maple syrup. We did not taste any bourbon flavoring at all, but the pecan flavor really stood out nicely. The middle had a decent amount of fresh pecans. It's topped with whip cream sprinkled with pecan bits, which helped to balance out the sweetness from the bourbon syrup. 6. Apple fritter (3.75/5) Heavily glazed, which in my opinion, just made it too sweet. After 1-2 bites, my throat was burning and screaming for milk or cider to wash it down. I guess it would be good with some hot apple cider vinegar for the fall season. Despite it being heavily glazed on the outside, the dough still maintained a good crispy texture. The apple chunks were fresh, but I wish they used green apples instead of red as it would give it more tartness than add even more sweetness. 7. Basil Eggs Benedict (5/5) The STAR of the box of donuts that I got. If I ever come back to SideCars, this is the only thing I would get again. It literally tastes like egg benedict, but in that fried doughnut shell. It was savory from the bacon/salami strip, creamy from the egg and cheese inside and the fried donut shell gives it the old fried dough taste that one can easily reminisce about. Worth every calorie.

We got a combo of a ton of flavors. My absolute favorite was the butter and salt, followed up by strawberry and strawberry matcha. The chocolate was also very tasty. The donuts were super fresh and cakey in a light way that makes me keep wanting to try more

    Callie S.

These donuts got me so confused with cakes!! The texture is more of a cake consistency but they are soooooo delicious! They're on a sweeter side so they are good with coffees. Freshly made every single day and I love their seasonal flavors too. There are some tables around the outside of the store and street parking is usually pretty easy to find.

Taylor and Jeffenette (sorry if I spelled your name wrong)! You both are so lovely and hardworking. Thank you for your great attitudes. I already love Sidecar, and you somehow managed to make my experience even MORE enjoyable. This was my first time at this location. I couldn't resist the call of the Dubai Chocolate donut. Had to eat it with a fork and knife because she hella messy. Oof, I'm full. Also I want to encourage people who visit here to be kind. The workers here know you want your donuts real bad, and they're doing the best they can to get your orders prepared as soon as they can. We like Sidecar for how fresh their donuts are, and with that, sometimes it takes a bit longer for them to get ready (I.e. giving them time to cool when they're taken out of the oven so the frosting doesn't slide all over the place). I want to encourage you to be patient here. They offer 1 hour parking validation if you choose to park in the lot.

These donuts seem to be low in sugar because they are barely sweet. I'm new to Sidecar just recently discovered them so maybe these donuts are lower calorie because of less sugar? When I have a taste for a donut with less sugar, I buy them here.

Are there any vegan donut options available at the moment?

Right now it's coconut chocolate- it's vegan and gluten friendly.

    Do they take Apple pay?

    Yes

What is in the golden latte from Sidecar? I need to know what ingredients this place uses please?

Hi Lauren! Our Golden Turmeric Latte is made using Ora Organic's Good as Gold organic golden milk powder, our signature espresso, and your choice of milk. Hope that helps!

Do they still serve apple fritters?

Not sure as I have not seen an apple fritter the last dozen times at Sidecar. They have a number of specials so it might be available at some point. Blue Star has a fairly good apple fritter if you're not far from one, and they make them daily.

    Are there vegan options?

Yes they currently have a vegan pumpkin chia for October :)
