I decided to give this place a try and will not go back! My pedicure is poorly done. Just no - heed the reviews and warnings from others.

I get my nails done here pretty often and Jenny has been doing my nails for 4 years. She is very kind and she is never trying to force her clients to buy more than what they want. She respects me when I say no. It is simply her job to ask. She always does a great job with my nails. If you are not interested in high prices I wouldn't suggest this nail salon for you. read more

The good - it's a pleasant, clean place and she did a competent job for my $12 manicure and it's lasted about a week. The bad? I had to spend the entire time I was there trying to get upsold (right word?) to a $30 gel manicure that would "last two weeks". When I didn't go for that after 5-6 increasingly annoying attempts to convince me she tried for an eyebrow wax which I also didn't want. Her scowl made her displeasure at my non compliance with her wishes apparent. As the manicure drew to end she made a last ditch effort for me to at least get a gel topcoat. I've never had a good experience here, but went recently and had the strangest experience. No scrub and no lotion for my pedicure, and they soaped up my lower legs with actual soap, then no foot rub. Gel manicure when I asked for powder, they argued with me when I mentioned that I wanted powder, so I just took gel. No hand rub and they clipped only part of my cuticles so I have so many hang nails and raggedy edges on my nails from bad filing. Came out with streaks in the top coat so I asked her to redo and she blamed me for touching things- I hadn't even moved my hands from the UV light. She redid it and I left with bubbles on every part of each nail- I wasn't going to ask them to redo it. Worst part- it cost NINETY FIVE dollars, plus tips, for a basic gel manicure and a basic pedicure that was subpar at best. Would be a zero star if they'd let me. I should have taken this place being empty on a Saturday at 1pm as a sign. The board says $37 for a manicure and pedicure and I was charged $55. I questioned this and she told me it's because I got quick dry top coat. So I said you charged me $18 for quick dry top coat? She actually had the nerve to tell me well it's the "best" one while smirking. This dump must have to overcharge and rip people off to stay in business. Not only are they scammers but also liars. The owner responded to my google review saying I was okay with the price, there were people in the salon and I was lying. YEA OKAY, if you notice he disputes every review they have in an unprofessional manner. How pathetic that he is really trying to justify charging someone $18 for quick dry top coat? If he spent as much time bettering his business as he does attacking honest reviews they would have more customers. Please don't come to this "nail salon" this is by far the worst and I mean WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon! My pedicure took about 10 mins if that long and this is the first salon I have ever been to that didn't put warm towel on your feet after my pedicure. I've always passed by this location but never stopped in. I was in need of a pedicure for an event that evening, so I stopped in around lunch time to get one. I will NEVER return. I had an older man do my pedicure and he did a horrendous job. He cut my toe nails down so low it hurt. When I complained he didn't say a word and then continued to cut my nails extra short. He did a mediocre job of sloughing the bottoms of my feet and I was absolutely DISGUSTED when I saw him take that same slougher he used on my feet and put it back in the container he originally pulled it out of. Never cleaned it, never sterilized it, and I'm sure he was going to use the same instrument on the next person in that chair. Within moments he started applying my nail color and was getting globs of polish all over my toes and toenails. His cell phone rang and he stopped doing my polish and decided to have a 10 minute conversation with a maintenance repair person about a hose or something at his house. ARE YOU SERIOUS??????? When he came back I mentioned that thanks to his phone call, my polish had dried and I needed him to correct the globs and streaks. Without saying a word, he dipped his finger in acetone and used his finger to clean off the excess polish on my toe. When it was time to leave I paid with my debit card and the young lady (I'm assuming his wife) asked if I would be putting a tip on the card, I said no. She asked if I would be paying with cash instead, again I said no. She looked rather annoyed and asked why, to which I responded by saying that I was thoroughly annoyed by the way I was treated and that my pedicure looked like my 5 year old son did it, so no, I would not be leaving a tip. She became very snarky with me, and instead of apologizing, or offering to fix the nail polish, she simply said, "Okay then" and went back to her manicure table. This facility is beyond corrupt. First they over charge. Their prices on the wall don't match up when you pay. On top of overcharging and rushing the time spent there, your not even getting a relaxing experience. I have been coming to the shop for quite a while. Generally just to get my eyebrows waxed and sometimes a pedicure. I went there today with my daughter and we both got pedicures. The pedicure is supposed to be $25. When I went up to the counter they charged me $35 each. When I asked Jenny(the owner) why she told me she added $10 per person for the quick dry nail polish. During the pedicure they asked us if we wanted to use the quick dry on our nails, we asked them why and what are other options. Jenny's husband said "well we use a clear coat top or the quick dry. We said whatever you recommend. He never once mentioned a $10 up charge per person. If he had told us about the $10 charge, we would have just went to the air dryer and dried our nails. When I mentioned this to Jenny she said I should have asked. Completely unprofessional. She told me it was my job to ask that question not their job to tell the customer about any of up charges. She was not the least bit concerned that I said I would not be coming back to their salon. She was very rude to me and did not refund me the $20. While this was happening, another woman was waiting to get her nails done and was so appalled by the way Jenny treated us that she walked out with us. There are many other nail salons within a half a mile radius. I recommend you try one of them. In response to the owner Stevens comments: I did ask you about the quick dry and you simply said "there were several things to choose from and you just ask customers which they prefer". You said nothing about any additional charges. I would have refused the services. At a restaurant they post prices. I know what I am being charged for before I order. You and Jenny have a happy of upcharging and overcharging. 35 for a 15 minute pedicure is ridiculous. No wonder your store is always empty and all the others in the area have plenty of customers. My mother and I wanted to bond together, so we decided to stop by at a nearby salon on our way home to get a gel manicure. Big mistake. On their sign, it states $35 for a gel manicure, so we brought inside $70 cash with us. At the beginning, we chose to do a gel manicure and she asked us what shape we wanted and if we wanted longer nails, neglecting mention ANY upcharge. Then, square nails were rounded in a way that did not even resemble a "square shape". She thickened my nails when I did not even want her to. I just wanted a simple gel manicure and she buffed up and "extended" my nails and I barely can type this message now LOL. With the intent to spend $70 plus tip, my mother and I wasted $140. Instead of having a great girls day out, my mother and I were saddened by our nails. And when my mom was confused as per why the bill was so high, the lady just started to yell that this was her first complaint in 20 years. I wish I checked reviews earlier, because this obviously isn't the case. I got my nails done at a different salon for JProm last year, and they cleared dead skin, massaged my hand, and cleaned the dirt. I got a simple manicure and pedicure (nothing special) which on the board said was around $30 for both, but she charged me $75 and that was after I have her a $5 tip! Horrible service. Owner is not even friendly and so gruff. I asked for clear nail polish manicure and a pedicure. An underaged girl worked on my nails (not even sure she is licensed nail tech and legal age to work) i had remenants of gel nail polish on my thumb nails only and they charged me $5 to remove that. The pedicure started with boiling hot water and no apology or concern issue when i pulled my feet out. My nails had cuticle skin still around my fingers at the end. The lady doing my pedicure *rushed one in 15 mins* asked me if i want a top coat. This is first ive ever been asked and when i said uh is that an extra charge and she said yes $10 ..what the heck?? This is the first ive ever heard any salon to charge for. My total for a shit regular manicure and pedicure (15 mins) came out to $40!!! Insane and so not worth it. Worst Nail Salon I have ever been to. Dirty, unprofessional and a ripoff. There was a reason why the salon was empty when I arrived. The entire time the girl was doing my nails she kept pushing me to get a gel manicure. When I refused she changed her tactic and used a quick dry top coat. Then charged me an additional $13.00. This place is a disaster! My daughter went alone to get a set of nails with acrylic overlay. Well-my daughter came home to show me what was done. The woman sculpted her nails using gel-she did not put tips on first. The job was so horrible. To top it off she charged her $75-yes you read that right.I couldn't believe it. The next day I went back to the salon with my daughter and had to argue as to why I wanted it redone. Looking at her nails I think no one would need an explanation. As she was redoing my daughters nails the woman cut her twice. The second time was really deep in her cuticle. She blamed it on my daughter. Then she started throwing my daughters hand and giving her attitude. I would not recommend going there. I have been going to Glamour Nails for years and Vikki does an excellent job. My nail appointment started at 4:25 for a regular fill she pushed for a pedicure I was completely done by 4:50 in my car with both pedicure and fill. 35 minutes for the worst pedicure I have ever had! The total bill almost $100 dollars! 45 each service 6 dollars for 1 finger nail design she made some abstract colors she made up. No design $96.00 I asked why I had acrylic not gel They told me it was special acrylic! Really. If you need your nails done please do yourself and favor and pass this salon by. You will save yourself time and overall aggravation. They will always make you wait and i fyou have enough patience to wait they will not focus on your. They jump from customer to customer, leaving you to wait some more. If you ask for a fill in they try to remove all of your nails ROUGHLY to charge you for a full set. The owner will then try to convince you that your nails need to be removed actually she argues that your nails need to be removed. The salon is also very dirty inside, they don't have you wash your hands during a nail service. I have also seen the owners let their underage child "help out" while in the salon. read more

This nail salon is located in a run down shopping center off of a main road and close to Issalon. The owner of the place is named Jenny, although she doesn't speak very good English she attempts to get away with her charm as she calls everyone 'honey'. She has a very sweet daughter that is in 6th grade and helps at the salon during the weekend. Although her daughter is not old enough to work, she still orders her daughter around to work on customers. I believe that this is illegal. After going to this salon for over a year, tonight was the last time I will ever go back there. Since I'm a bit upset over what happened tonight I'll attempt to explain my reasons clearly why this salon should be avoided. 1. The prices posted are NOT the prices that they charge. Even if you ask ahead of time for the price there is always an addition charge for something. And when you are surprised about the price she also asks for a tip. 2. If you come in with acrylic nails from another salon she will tell you that you need to get them removed, without telling you cost, and proceed to rip them off your fingers. This is VERY uncomfortable and costly. A new set of nails is $80.00. 3. For a simple filling with polish it will cost you $40.00 and she expects a tip for her service. The board with the prices displayed is prices from 4 years ago. When you question the price she yells at you, seriously she yells at you, and then tells you that you are cheap. I've seen her do it a thousand times. 4. She will try to get you to pay with cash which she just puts in her pocket and doesn't ring in the register. It's always uncomfortable after to see her wait for you to give her a tip. 5. The wax they use is dirty. Ask to see the wax before she uses it on you. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and when I looked in the heated container it was dirty wax. When I asked her about it she said that the 'heat kills anything bad in it'. I declined the wax. Other either don't see the wax or they don't care. 6. Jenny is VERY rude and if you catch her on one of her nights, she will call you cheap and yell at you. 7. There is no discount for paying in cash or bringing your own nail polish. Overall this salon is not a relaxing place. Tonight I asked about getting the acrylic off my nails and just have them painted instead of a fill-in. I told her I had heard about giving your nails a rest and removing the acrylic for a few weeks. She then got very upset with me and told me that I was 'cheap'. This was the last straw in a long list of issues that I have with this salon (see above). Since she was in the middle of painting my nails at this point I couldn't just get up and leave. I attempted to explain to her that on average I spend $45 (not including a tip) every three weeks and that I was disappointed in the matter in which she was treating me. She told me to 'go somewhere else if you thinking I cost too much. You are cheap'. Considering I pay an average of $1,000 a year for her services and I bring own nail polish, she should give better service and not call me 'cheap'. I'm done with this place. I walked into the salon asking for Gel Manicure and regular pedicure woman advised me charge was $60.. I sat down and she told me to put my feet in water. Not nice at all! Man walked in from the back and sat down to do my pedicure and did not even say hi.. By the way there was not ONE person in the nail salon and that should of been my clue!! She hands me the color's and asked me to pick... She starts doing my nails while getting my pedicure done. Which to me is the worst but ok I let her proceed.. She starts on one hand and I turned way for one second to grab my bag and I thought she dumped some old water in bath where I was soaking but was not sure. Man starts cutting my toes and she says to me did you pick a color I said yes, she said do u want the same color on your feet I said yes. She then proceeds to tell me there is additional charge to have the same color on your feet and your hands. I asked her why? She said because you want gel on your hand and not your feet so it won't match perfectly but I will have to charge you extra.. I said I have never heard of such a thing I have been to several nails salons and never charged me to match the color on my feet and my hands.. She finish cutting cuticles on one hand and goes to the next and she dumbs the bowl of the cut cuticles in the bath where e me feet are soaking in them.. I was so grossed out, I asked why she did that and she was so rude and was like why not.. I asked her if she was the owner she said no I am the manager and she said why do you have a problem.. I said yes stop what you are doing I cannot believe you don't find anything wrong with what you just did. I am calling the department of health and I walked out.. I went in for a manicure on a Thursday at lunch time figuring to spend around $15 which includes tip. The nail person asked if I wanted a quick dry and to fix my thumb nail that was breaking. She did not say there was an extra cost for both of these services. Before she started to paint my nails, I said can I pay for my services which is what I usually do, she said "no" you can pay at the end. When she finally told me the price of $25, I told her this was ridiculous and I was totally mislead. They did back down on the price to be $23, which I still cannot figure why it was so expensive. I left without giving a tip and very upset. By Saturday, my nails were chipping and I went back to US Nails on Tuesday to show them what my nails looked like. They still did not apologize for the terrible service and the owner Stephen told me that I was cheap!! How dare he say something like that and then he kicked me out of the store. I will never go back to this place and we not recommend anyone to go there. They are just a money hungry nail salon and do not care about satisfying their customers. Horrible manicure and service! I walked in and was told the wait was half an hour. I asked if I could make an appointment and come back. They said yes then kept me waiting for 15 minutes and went out of their way to scold me when I said I had made an appointment because I needed to be somewhere later. The French manicure was a joke. Uneven white lines from nail to nail, large clumps, my 8 year old could do a better job. Of course, after two days they all chipped. When I returned to ask if they could touch it up a bit, they agreed but said a minute should last only two days! I should have had a gel manicure they said. The touch up is so bad, worse than the manicure, I went right away to another place where I could be treated with respect. This is an abusive place where the work done is poor to horrible.
