My daughter and I needed to get our nails done, so we came in for a gel manicure for both of us. The ladies who worked on our nails were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The cost for a gel manicure was $35 per person (before tip). They did a good job and we were both happy with the results. Next time I would not get the sparkly nail polish because it seemed too thin and did not look like gel, even though it stays on like gel. It has been over 2 weeks and our nails still look nice. We chose a very light color, so it doesn't look too obvious that the nails have grown and there's a gap between the polish and the nail bed. LOL
This is it shop! I found this place while shopping nearby. I was able to walk in and get service! I came in with previous gel-x and Cindy (the owner) was delightful and extremely detailed oriented. She was able to shape my nails the way I asked (almond rounded for reference). She was also kind enough to paint my nails to see if I liked the cat nail design and kindly redesigned them to my liking. Unlike other places, Cindy did not seem upset about my request, she had a pleasant attitude. My first visit was early March. Today, was my second visit (April). I came in for the removal of my gel-x requesting an acrylic dip with my natural nails. This time I was serviced by Nicky. She is also great! Super detail oriented; got all my cuticles taken care of. Nicky is also very calm and pleasant. She asked me several times to check my nails in case anything needed "fixing". The vibe of this place is calm and they play classical music. I would also add that I like their pricing. Overall, my two visits have been splendid. I've visited several other shops near La Jolla and PB but no one left my nails as good as Cindy and Nicky. Thanks again!
REPORTING TO THE BOARD FoR NOT PROPERLY DISINFECTING THEIR TOOLS. I got an INFECTION on my toe after getting a pedicure there. When I asked for a refund, the manager Cindy said I needed a doctors note??? What? No, you take your customers word for it. It was also the most expensive basic pedicure I've ever had. My nails were crooked too. My acrylics were so thick and ugly and alllllll different shapes and sizes. I literally had to go back and ask her to please try and fix them. I knew they wouldn't be great but she filed them. She said I would need to be careful because they were "so thin". Mind you I get very natural acrylic that is far thinner than these all the time! I know how to care for and handle my acrylics. Well two days later one of my nails broke. TWO DAYS!!!! I paid $118 for acrylics and a shit pedicure. Do not go here.
Another great experience with Holly! My nails and cuticles felt great after a mani and pedi. Despite her always taking the time to remove the tough skin, she's never once caused pain. All staff are always nice, acknowledging you with a smile even though they are not providing care for you directly. The shop is small, well lit, with soothing background music and the service and care are the best!

I went to this place because they were very close to my House. The woman who did my nails was disrespectful and did not line up my nails consistently as you can see from the picture. All of my nails are different thickness for the tips and look horrible. read more

Came here to get another gel manicure similar to my French tip but with colored tips & this time, it wasn't as good :( this time I didn't have Hang, I don't even know the name of the manicurist who did my nails today but she sat at the 2nd to last table by the bathroom. My tip lines aren't even on either hands and aren't even on each finger. However, she did a great job at cleaning my cuticle and was very sweet. Her hand massage was ok but I've had better. I even tried to correct her but this was the best she could. She also did my wax which was pretty good. I just wish my nails were as good as the wax. Will probably just come here for pedicures and will need to find another salon to do manicures. With my lip + eyebrow wax and gel nails it totaled $65 and I still tipped $10. I'm just happy u can't tell they're uneven from afar. read more

Cindy is the go to for acrylics and any designs, she'll always try her best to match exactly what you're looking for and takes her time. Nina is the go to for pedicures!! She takes her time and cuts/files the way you want and is super gentle which is a plus! Highly recommended these two ladies! read more

I have no words!! This was my first time here and I'll be coming back! Cindy was amazingly fast and careful throughout the whole process. The shop had a constant flow of customers, but I was out after about 1.5 hours for this set. Really good pricing as well! read more

Had such a great experience with Cindy doing my nails, I am definitely planning to come back for a new nail design! I showed her a picture and she knew exactly what I wanted. Loved how they turned out for my vacation! I also got my pedicure done and I loved the massage! My toes came out so nice and the gel polish was so neat. My first time here and I had a great experience. Other nail salons I used to go to always rush or so rough with my hands. The lady who did my nails was very gentle and very careful with the French tips. Really happy with how my nails out! Also next to my work place, which is very convenient. Will be back soon. read more

I called in around noon and they were able to add me to their 1pm time slot. Nina was friendly and gentle when she was cutting my cuticles and overall nice. My nails came out great and she was really detail oriented (what color I wanted, what shape and length) which I appreciated. I am definitely coming back. read more

Only go on Sundays and Mondays and ask for Dawn! I've been seeing Dawn for 4 years now and she never disappoints. I will follow and support her if she ever changes salons. She has been so great with taking care of my nails, always telling me how to take care of my cuticles, and never steers me wrong when I need help deciding. This is my second time coming in and they've taken me right as I enter! Ladies are quick with their work. They have a huge selection of nail polish but limited selection for shellac/gel. The lady who did my pedicure has gentle hands and was delicate when cleaning my cuticles so that was a plus (Didn't get to catch her name...). The lady who did my fill shaped my nails just how I like them rounded not square - though I wish they had more nude colors (I'm such a nudie) the Reds and purples were nice to choose from! $20 for spa pedicure. $30 for acrylic fill with gel on top. read more

I have a terrible nail chewing problem and my nails are always looking a mess, so I was paranoid about finding a new salon and getting my nails done. My nail tech was Holly and she was so kind and understanding! She made me feel very comfortable! She was also very attentive to my nails and made sure each nail was perfect in shape, color, thickness, etc. whenever I had a correction I wanted, she made me feel listened to! I appreciated her service and artistry very much. I had a great experience at US Nails and will be coming back! This nail salon is in the same plaza as the H Mart, Daiso, and immediately beside Fantastic Sam's. Walked in here for a quick little gel mani while my boyfriend was running some errands nearby. I needed to be in and out within 40 mins and got out of there in roughly an hour. Not bad. I was helped right away by Susan, which was awesome, because sometimes nail salons say they will help you out right away but they really can't due to the other customers. Girls- y'all know exactly what I'm talking about... Susan was so amazing! Perfect amount of conversation + perfect concentration + attention to detail! +PROS+ -Nails painted perfectly on all sides, and close to cuticle. Edges painted as well for the final touch! -1 coat of clear polish to complete the glossy look -Cuticle oil add that extra shine to your nails -Clean UV light machine -Detail-oriented and shaped my nails just how I wanted them automatically bc she was such a pro -ADORABLE maltese puppy (Lola) chillin at the salon greeting customers! -Susan had a positive attitude and seemed to enjoy her job and was so polite and professional -CONS- -There was a rather small selection of gel colors to choose from. Usually you see palettes on palettes of LOTS of colors, but there were only about 30ish colors to choose from, with very few reds & fuschias (which are my go-tos). Couldn't find my usual fuschia sparkle colors here. - I noticed that the gel mani I got here did not last as long as I thought. Saw chips/nails peeling in a week :'( and it was not doing too well in wk 2... OVERALL Wonderfully friendly service & great nail service by Susan! Will definitely come back! read more

Have family members that go to her for mani/pedi's and have always been please so when I found out that she does "dip" I was excited to make an appointment with her. I have been coming to this location for almost a year (October 2017) and have had about 7 trips already. Been wanting to write a review but been so busy with life that now I can finally say what I've been wanting to! First of all, after spending almost 10 years at my old nail spa, I decided it was time to try a new place. They were wonderful and my mani/pedicurist was amazing and so friendly but as years passed I was wanting something better. Found this place on yelp and chose it because it was just around the corner from where I live. When I first walked in (and pretty much all my visits after) I was greeted by a warm welcome by the staff. Atmosphere is beautiful and very clean - and the lighting is perfect. What caught my attention too was the beautiful music they play - songs played by violin which was very calming, relaxing and definitely set the mood. I came in for just a manicure but changed my mind and decided to do the gel. They offer so many color selections to choose from sometimes it's so hard to choose! Cindy, who is the owner is my go to and she's so quick at what she does! She can do my nails 30 min tops! And they turn out so beautiful all the time! Cindy is so friendly and I love the fact she likes to talk to you and get to know you more. Hannah does my pedis and she's on top of everything! I usually get the $30 package (I can't remember the name) and it's a great deal for the spa treatment. The spa chairs are very comfortable and offer limitless massages which I love and definitely enjoy! Hannah takes her time and my pedis always turn out perfect! Also, they last for a long time too! US Nails is a great nail spa and they offer other services like skin care and hair removal. Planning to have a facial done there soon. I would recommend make an appointment ahead of time because they do get busy. Their customer service is beyond exceptional, very friendly and do a job well done. I always leave as a happy customer! I needed a new set of nails and after reading and seeing photos of some good reviews I decided to try this nail salon out. Lots of photos and the nails I liked on yelp was by Cindy , so I had booked an apt with her. All I can say is Cindy is very gentle, and knows what she's doing . She was very nice and friendly & did a great job on my nails! I didn't feel like she rushed like some salons do . As for colors - they have soooo many!!!! Literally was stressing out trying to pick a color . She took off my old set and put new ones - 45$ . For the work she did , I think that price was a great deal . I will definitely be back !!!! Not sure why I haven't posted a review for this place yet. I've been coming here for 2 years now and that's after I tried nearly every other place in Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch. This is the best place to get your nails done. They do such a thorough job with your cuticles and paint your nails with great detail. I usually book an appointment with Holly because I've known her for yeeeeeeears but all the girls here do an amazing job. I've done walk-ins a few times and Holly's been busy so I would get a different girl but I'm telling you that every single one does a great job. Highly recommend! read more

I have been getting my nails down for over 20 years at various places. Until now, if a manicurist left, I just went to someone else else in the shop.BUT NOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED.I called to get my nails done and had a panic attack when I was told that Cindy was no longer there. I followed Cindy from Mission Gorge to her own shop, USA Nails and Spa in Mira Mesa. Did I mention I live in Point Loma? Yes she is that good. Unless I tell people, they don't know I have acrylics. So natural and they never pop off or break. New growth is almost impossible to see. No ridges. Do yourself a favor and check her new place out. I'm not the only client following her. I take in photos or ideas for designs and she makes it happen. YES! SHE IS THAT GOOD! read more
