Always happy when that happens on a Friday. Had two packages to mail out. One large flat rate box ($31) & one medium flat rate box ($21), then being a philatelist I had to check out the new stamps. I got the last block of the 250 years of Carriers for my retired Carrier Dad for Xmas. Perfect. The gentleman happily got it out of the cabinet. I got the Keith Haring set, a SpongeBob set & the special 250 years of Carriers. They were friendly, & helpful with my purchases. Total spent was right at $97. This is not our grandparents postage. But, I'll always be a letter writer. I like the Elemdorf Post Office. Glad it's the closest to me.

This PO is by far the friendliest, most helpful, & the clerks are willing to go the extra step to make the customer happy. They have good hours, they normally have all the stamps I have to have. Watches and removal of all items out of your pocket. The staff at the post office all go to lunch at 2:30pm for an hour, so we had to come back an hour later. The post office is in hallway with the windows along the walls. There are two windows open, but one person working and it's super slow. $0.90 for a wooden postcard from the Alamo. The post office staff said he would have to manually feed into the machine or it will crack the wooden postcard, thus why the postcard costs $0.90 to send it.

It's also the only post office I've ever been to with package pickup lockers. Con: they did not complete an origin scan and the package moved between 2 post offices before it had an in chain of custody scan status. As a marketplace seller this directly impacts our late shipment metric as to the system it looks like it was dropped off late even though I understand what happened because the zip code under this scan was not the zip code of this post office. Again the seller systems don't have any way of knowing this so we still get dinged for it.
