Pro: they have a parcel drop drawer that wasn't full and it's one of the few locations around downtown that 1) even has a parcel lock drawer and 2) has 24/7 lobby access. It's also the only post office I've ever been to with package pickup lockers. Con: they did not complete an origin scan and the package moved between 2 post offices before it had an in chain of custody scan status. As a marketplace seller this directly impacts our late shipment metric as to the system it looks like it was dropped off late even though I understand what happened because the zip code under this scan was not the zip code of this post office. Again the seller systems don't have any way of knowing this so we still get dinged for it. read more

Been a few years since my last review. I am writing to update that, as far as I can tell, the associates that were giving subpar to very negative customer service experiences are no longer employed here. Every time I have been here recently, all the employees have been courteous and some even going above and beyond to keep the banter going while getting through the transactions. The line is often long, yes, but I counter that it only looks long- the line moves surprisingly quickly. They are efficient and with enough employees that they usually have 3-5 out working during the busy hours, you will be next in line before you know it! read more

This is my go to UPS! Parking can be little crazy because it's right off Broadway, but I've always had luck with snagging a spot. Employees are very kind and helpful! I've been a number of times and have had consistent good service. read more

I don't understand why the workers here have to be so rude and races. I live in America 23 years not 3 days. I know what a birth certificates are for my children. As I came in he started yelling where the dad? The dad has to be here. I told him they have no dad. Do you think a child 10 and 7 years old want to hear that when they already live 7 years calling someone a dad. He was so rude. Then later the Supervisor and the passport guy. They all just made my day feel terrible. read more

They can apologize all they want but the fact still remains that the package was damaged. Who knows what it was exposed to? Talk about gross negligence. today at perrin beitel usps office was the worse experience ever. The disrespectful guy who served us was out of line, and very unprofessional. My 20 year old son has to renew his passport in order to get his ID renew and get his learning permit. This is one of learning experienced that I enjoy when teaching my son to be independent and responsible. No need to explain situations or why he is just learning to do stuff. NO ONE BUSINESS. so , gut in post office ask him to be explicit as what he do, and give a pen to my son to write ( we filled up the form on line) my son start writing cursive and this worker get upset, take away the form and told him to do it again in script, in a bad way. so he go and carefully start over again, and we went back. Now guy is asking about his id and old passport and I start giving documents to him and he ask him, for whom is the passport and I say for my son, and hell become real.....He say "Im not talking to you, he is old enought to answer and do things his own" WTF ...my son try to man up, dont know what to say, only, "is my first time doing this" and guy make a comment about his picture id as a kid is ilegal and my son try to explain that cause of covid they renew his id with an old picture, That man dont give a damn and I say that why we need his passport, again, not talking to you. by now Im fumming. try to be respectful... then he ask him has soon he need it and my son look at me, and I say as fast as possible, man again, "he can answer, not you" he sart giving prices and I say the faster, and give us a money order, again "he can decide himself" (DUDE IM THE MOTHER IM PAYING THE F BILL AND I KNOW HOW SOON WE NEED IT) tought to my self.....he give us a money order and say write your name and left to made copies, so I told my son write your full name carefully where it say name and your address where is say address....Guy come back and first thing he does is raise voice and in bad mood say, he say "I diidnt tell you to write adress, you didnt hear me, why you did it" my son "my mom told me" and he lost it and say "You listen to me, you dont listen to your mom, she is wrong and Im right" REALLY? he was very direct saying that He shouldnt listen to me cause I was wrong and he was old enought to be a man.....Excuse me, I was nice enought to not start a fight and give a bad example to my son. but who in the hell this man think he is to tell anyone to be disrespectfull to his mom.? the rest is history, I PAY and we live before I say something I regret. Felix mistreated me at the 10410 Perrin Beitel Rd location & acted like he will get away with it. He was incredibly rude & condescending and his coworkers laughed at me the ruder he became. I asked to renew my passport, he asked my last name & after giving it, he sarcastically asked for first name. I asked him did I upset him somehow, and he rlsaid, "No i'm always this way." I responded."bummer" and then he rudely told me to leave and kicked me out of line. When I asked for his name, he said Felix and said, do you know how to spell it? It's FELIX. Why would he treat me so badly? I was being very nice to him. His coworkers started laughing until I left. They kept on laughing. I guess they all enjoyed the show. This is just wrong. And I wish someone would do something about it. He acted like he will get away with it and he probably will. That was completely uncalled for and no way to treat a customer. Getting a passport on a Saturday? Arrive early -- at 8 a.m. -- because the waiting room gets packed, the wait takes forever, and the experience is very unpleasant. It's like the DMV. Yuck. Glad I can renew by mail! The Saturday walk-in hours are 8-10 a.m. and they pull the sign-in sheet promptly at 10. What's odd, though, is they keep the door open, inviting in people who don't know the center is closed, who then wander around looking for a sign-in sheet. Waiting customers, not the clerks, inform the poor souls they cannot be served because the walk-in timeline has ended. Awkward! The signage is awful. Because there is no signage. The sign-in sheet is on a desk to the right of the door, but it's not clearly marked. So if people's unsupervised kids are standing there blocking the desk, you don't see it. And the clerks will not acknowledge you. So you're on your own to figure everything out. Once you locate the sign-in sheet, prepare to be deceived on your wait time estimation: For every one name listed is a family of *five* needing passports. Ugh. Also, one of the two clerks took her break from 10:30-11:15, so that slowed things down by 50%. They accept credit cards BUT there is a $1.25 fee to convert the payment to a money order. Don't sit by the TV because you'll have to listen to the DVD's looping menu music for the duration of your wait. For the love of god, somebody press Play already! The post office does not have restrooms, so take care of business before arriving. The clerks are knowledgeable and efficient, so once your name is called you'll be out the door lickety split. I heard a customer say the clerk told him that weekday appointments do not require a wait -- you can get in and out -- so if you can schedule your appointment Monday through Friday, you can save some Xanax. This is a large post office in San Antonio (not sure if it is "the main" one or not) but what I love about them is; - self service machines in the lobby and they often have someone there, even after the main lobby closes to help you with stuff - extended hours so if you need to get something out that day, you have until 8PM at this location - generally well staffed if you go through the line which is nice when there is a line, its usually moving pretty fast - I've never used it before, but they have a passport office - large parking lot --although said parking lot can be a little confusing to navigate -- go slow and pay attention to where you turn, many of the ways are only one way - this locations has tons and tons of PO Boxes of all sizes - good location and pretty easy to get to read more

Came on a Saturday to get a passport and made sure I had all of my documents ready to go. Dorothy took care of me and was a pleasure to work with. Knowledgeable, kind and very helpful. They do have a small waiting room (40 ppl occupant) and when full they will not take any additional people so I highly recommend you get there early for passport services. read more

When Staff opened the door to the passort room for us to enter, people just got kind of crowded to be first inside. Staff just let people go inside room instead of letting first ones in line go inside. My youngest has a permanent disability (he was born with a rare syndrome:wears glasses, tracheotomy, afo braces, right shoe elevated). Instead of Staff telling me to seat on chair & my child on my lap, I was told to wait outside of room by front entrance (I wasn't even allowed to wait by Passport Room door entrance). My youngest son got up & an adult male customer from lobby went inside room & took my son's seat. I immediately brought it to the male Staff attention & I was basically told: That's how some people basically are, doggie world! jaja. Really? All 3 Passport applications were almost completely filled out as I forgot to write certain information on 2 of our applications (less than half). I had everything inside a folder & I immediately took everything out as I was called to the desk to get assisted by Lolly (Passport Assistant Staff & Post Office Employee). She immediately started getting fustrated & upset as she noticed 2 of my applications were not fully filled out. She got up from her chair 3 different times (as I sat on her front desk) & stated to people in the room as they sat on their chairs, waiting: Please have all your applications completely filled out before your name gets called!! I signed my kids name when I was supposed to print (I apologized to her about 2-3 times from beginning to end) I stated to her, I only had about 3 hrs. of sleep the previous night & I was not 100% alert. Lolly still continued to give me a rude attittude. I asked her: Can we use white-out so I can print their names? She stated to me: Well! I don't know were you're going to write their names, now! You already signed all over on the space provided!! Lolly, didn't give me my receipt & didn't provided me with inf. on where to track my passport process. Shame on you!! read more

WOW, RUDE AND HOSTILE! I usually have good experiences here except for one teller. Stay away from the teller named Felix. He has been, at best, cold and, at worst, downright hostile to me since I've been going there. Today, I showed up with three parcels, two domestic and one international. While in line, I picked up a Customs form and tried to fill it out. The single pen available on the lobby was dead so I waited until I got to the teller (Felix) because he had pens at his station. I asked him if I could fill out the form there since it is short and he snarnled that I HAVE TO FILL OUT ALL FORMS BEFORE REACHING THE COUNTER and said I had to go home and come back with the finished form. I told him about there being no pens in the lobby and he smarted that there were pens at his station. He then pushed all three packages back at me as if I was to just leave. I angrily told him that I still wanted to mail my two domestic parcels Imagine that! He glowered at me and started begrudgingly working on my other two parcels. He seethed agression so I asked him if there was any reason he was such an ass today. He retorted, "Call me an ass again!" I probably should have just walked away but didn't feel like being bullied any further so I obliged him and called him an ass several more times. He ripped the labels off my packages. I told him I wanted talk to his supervisor when I left. Before I got to the supervisor in the lobby, the other teller ran out to report the awful man (me). They stick together. I almost got to speak with the supervisor before Felix ran out and cut me off. It got worse from there and I was asked to leave. I should have just left when he first got nasty but I made the mistake of engaging and calling him out out. Do yourself a favor and find another location if you can. Evidently, customer service means nothing to them and there is no accountability for nasty customer service. read more

Everyone here is very rude. If you don't completely understand the entirety of the USPS, they treat you like your stupid. The lady that helped me asked if I wanted next day shipping, I said no, and then she proceeded to tell me everything about next day shipping and made me feel dumb for not using it. Then she asked me if there were any perishables, liquids, things of the sort. I said yes, she told me to click yes on the screen, and then she asked me what it was. I told her there was shampoo and liquid food inside. She told me I did it wrong and to go back, I couldn't go back and she got very mad at ME for that? She said "Why would you click yes for shampoo?" I said "because you told me to!" Then, she asked me for the third time if I was doing next day shipping. I said no, again. While I was paying, a lady tried to enter the passport office. The sign on the door said they close at 2, but they already seemed closed so she asked the man at the desk if they were at lunch. He said they were closed for the day. She asked "Why does the door say 2pm and you're closed at 1pm?" He said "We close when we feel like it, which is usually around 11." If online and the sign on the door say you close at 2, YOU CLOSE AT 2. Another woman asked if the lady at the desk if she spoke Spanish and the woman at the desk didn't. Instead of politely saying no, she got offended and refused to help the people at all. I have nothing good to say about this post office. I'll be going to other locations from now on. read more

I am going to the Bahamas in April so I needed to get my passport. The hours on the website said 8:30 to 4:30. I show up a little before noon on a Friday with all my paperwork which I had already filled out. The sign said closed. I saw people in there so I peaked through the door. The guy working inside came out and rudely told me "were closed". I told him The sign said that y'all are open till 430. He once again rudely told me "well we're closed". I asked when they would be open again. He said tomorrow at 8:30. Tomorrow was Saturday and they are obviously closed. If you're going to be a an asshole to me, at least get your days straight. Rudest guy ever at the passport center! USPS disappoints. read more

Lolli Neighbors was rude!!! We were preparing a package in the lobby and did not realize that it was going on 5:30 p.m. A short heavy set woman came out and locked the door, so that no one else could get in. I noticed her and asked if she was closing? She reared her head with a dissatisfied look on her face and said yes!. I responded by saying but we where already here before 5:30 p.m.. She then responded by using her finger by pointing to both places, while talking and saying, "YOU WERE OUT HERE! NOT IN THERE! Then proceeded to turn her face with disgust, without any remorse and walked back in her employee entrance to the receiving area. NOW I understand that I missed my opportunity to get ON THE OTHERSIDE, but you would think that a government employee could say something polite while on duty. Like " I apologize, you need to be on the other side of the door before 5:30.... or there are other post offices open right now, if you really need to mail a package. Oh, and maybe remind me about the services in the lobby, which I forgot because I just got of work myself and with her rudeness making my day a whole lot nicer, I opted to leave home so that I could make this complaint. Thank you United States Postal Service for allowing your employees to be rude. The public should love you over all, not because you have self service machines! It is being returned if appropriate information is available. I called Arceli (210) 590-0345 same # for Christopher ...explain, gave tracking...said not to call her again...she will have supervisor call by end of day or she will call me herself; because she already return all the packages which included mine. No call 4 minutes till closing at 4pm...the internet says OPEN... call Arceli at 3:06pm no answer...call (210)368-1712 at 3:56...no answer-voice msg. call arceli again Christopher -sup answered & said we are closed. (It was 3:57) You will have to call back during open hours-i explain situation about my package in a rush..when i called him on 4/21st...he said office is closed you will have to call back on Monday...(he sounded very upset) I will have to look into it on Monday! I am so frustrated. I have basically lost a package. It has been in San Antonio few a couple weeks and no one can tell me anything. I can't call to talk to anyone. I would like to say that I've been coming to this post office for about two or three years. Every time it's simply to buy stamps or to drop off some letters. However today I had to send a series of packages to some friends around the country. When I got in line one of the clerks instructed me that there was a self-serve machine that can handle package postage and where I could buy stamps. The associate then help me navigate the self-serve Kiosk. It was efficient and time saving and less hassle than waiting in line. I will be back to use these facilities... read more

We were prepared for a long wait and that's exactly what we got when we visited this branch on a Saturday morning to apply for a passport. Website said they opened at 9 am but apparently they open at 8 am. The room was filled when we arrived. The passport application room is filled with signs about what not to do: don't stand, don't move the chairs, don't interrupt the clerks, etc. (ok, ok! I get it. I'll just sit here and be quiet and watch the Finding Nemo video playing on the TV.) When we were finally called up to work on the application, the clerk was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. I just wish there had been more clerks on staff to shorten the wait. read more

This USPS is great, hours are normally good and they have a drop off for mail with labels attached. Today, I went in with a large package. It wasn't too heavy but I was still ready to pay like $50 which is about the price I paid, but..... while I was waiting in line a new employee (I don't know his name) comes out to help at the desk. He doesn't even say "I can help the next in line" he just nods as a gesture that he can help. As I was walking to him he pulls out gum and puts it on the table where I was going to put my box on. And this guy the whole time just makes me feel dumb. He says "where is this going?" I respond "California" then he said "I need the zip code". I tell him and he ask "street name" and I say the street name but he was like "I need the numbers that to with it". Okay sorry ??? Anyways long story short I ask him if there's anyway I can get a "this way up" stick so my box isn't being flipped. He said and I quote "there's no way, it's going to be tossed around". Nice job USPS we all want our packages tossed around. Next time I'll go to FEDEX or UPS. read more

I figured it would be a wait on Saturday morning but OMG 2 1/2 HOURS and we signed in at 8:15!!! They open at 8am and apparently people start lining up at 6am!! Be prepared to stand the majority of your wait as well since the seating is VERY limited. Once we were called it took maybe 15 minutes for everything. Staff is not rude but they definitely aren't friendly either. Think typical government employee attitude. Overall it wasn't AWFUL but I could think of better things to do for 2 hours on a Saturday morning. read more

I have normally had good experiences with the Post office but this time however has made me re-think sending anything through them again!!! On Jan 29th, I called the business that sent me a certified mail letter to confirm that they did infact send us the letter. That is when I got the tracking number, looked it up and noticed that the letter has "departed USPS sort facility" on the 21st and it was now the 29th! So as far as I could tell, my letters been "in transit" for 8 days at that point? I dont think so. I called the 1-800 number and spoke to customer service who said that I could a) go down to the post office & pick it up or b) schedule a re-delivery. Problem #1: If i could go down to the local post office & pick it up, why has no one even attempted to DELIVER it like they should??? Problem#2: So I go ahead a re-schedule a delivery for today (jan 30th). I call customer service to verify that it will infact be sent out today and not left at the "local post office" like it had before. I ask the customer service agent to confirm it & due to her computer being down, I am transferred to a "supervisor". I tell him this story & I just needed to confirm that it would actually come today (since now im stuck at home waititng for it to arrive) and he cut me off in the middle of my sentence and gave me a very RUDE, demeaning "confirmation" that it would be delivered today. Needless to say, I am VERY frustrated with the lack of customer service & urgency to get my mail sent to me in a timely manner. Over a week late is VERY unacceptable! read more

I like this location. This is a general mail facility so it processes a LOT of mail and packages and has a passport area also. (Can't comment on that since I set up an appointment instead of waiting and it works fine - I finished the application interview right at the counter at Henderson Pass in a couple of minutes). With that in mind I have never had a poor experience here - I drop off business mail and packages frequently and pick up boxes stamps and envelopes for priority mail - I find that you tend to get treated like you treat others in this world. The counter is always fast and efficient, moreso than the office on Henderson pass, so I go here instead. I find that the staff has always been friendly and upbeat and helps with my questions which reflects well on the postal service. read more

I went to the Perrin Beitel post office and had the mis fortune of being helped by an older African-American man by the name of Eddy(?). He couldn't be bothered to crack a smile and greet me about the only thing I got was, "next person." He was condescending and unfriendly. I didn't even get a thank you from him. What shameful behavior for a man of his age. If he doesn't like his job, he should get a new one, preferably with no customer contact, maybe mopping floors or cleaning bathrooms, so he can have plenty of alone time. read more

Today, the postal person delivered mail to EVERY wrong address on Cavewood St. This is a ongoing problem and needs to be rectified.
