I have mixed reviews about this location, at times this location is very busy, and the other times you just go in and out. They can be very busy , and you will wait in line for a while. But if you have prepaid package you will be in and out, they have nice drop of box. Staff is always very friendly to me, and very helpful, lobby is definitely outdated and needs improvement. So many issues with the post office. 1. They never answer the phone. 2. The lines are rediculous and they work so slow. 3. Mailman never delivers what they are supposed to. One day they had my package and didnt deliver it because it was still in the car and they were walking. (They drive ur car to my house when you get back to the car!) 4. The 1-800 customer line is rude! Guy over the phone was giving me attitude and when I asked to talk to someone else, he hung up on me. WOW I cannot believe all the bad reviews! I often use this PO in Antioch because I always get such great friendly service. But yesterday the employees went over and beyond to help me. You see I was using their Express Machine in the lobby for multiple transactions when an envelope I placed on the machine ledge fell behind the machine. I panicked because it was a "one of a kind" parcel I was shipping. I went to the counter to ask for help and the young lady immediately went to find a supervisor. When the supervisor came ( I think his name was Juan) he told me he asked the Postmaster to unlock the machine to see if they could reach the package through the machine since there was no way the machine could be moved since it was bolted to the ground, and there was no access from the wall behind. Well the Postmaster came (I think his name was Arnesto) unlocked the machine but could not reach my package. He then called his dad who had some sort of tool which might be of help. His dad came by and gave him the tool to try. Well let me just say the tool was too short so they tried multiple riggings to move the package behind the machine in order to reach it. After one hour and a half and many make-shift tools to try to reach my package, Juan succeeded at getting the package out. A young lady also helped (I think her name was Luticha). I profusely repeated my gratefulness and Juan kept saying "that's what we are here for". All of them went over and beyond the call of duty and I was so appreciative of their help. They didn't have to help me...they could have said "oh well". I went online to see if I could post a "congratulation" on their web site but only the YELP comments appeared. As a thank you I intend to bring them a batch of my homemade cookies on Monday. They are the BEST!!! read more

I'm just trying to figure out why they aren't answering they're phone. I've called twice already. Going on third. Fourth and then fifth

In the last year, I've had two or three mis-delivered packages. It shouldn't be that difficult to check the numbers and make sure you have the correct address. My neighbors shouldn't be getting my mail, and vice versa. I understand common errors occur, but at the volume I've seen, it just appears the employees don't care. I can't even get ahold of anyone on the phone when I call half of the time. I've come to the conclusion that I'll just have to pick my mail up at my PO Box if I want it to remain secure. read more

Customer Service "NOT"! It is one thing to deal with people the "customer" with an attitude. But when the "Worker" is the aggressor in the situation, now that's some bull. The customer is not all ways right. I know I am in the customer service world. I come to this location all of the time for the past 3 years. Something was telling me to go elsewhere. Its 10am, I walk in to an empty lobby, two employees behind the counter. I am the only customer, the workers continued to have a personal conversation. Looked right at me and kept talking, a minute later I was asked, "How can I help you"? I walked up to the counter; the workers are STILL having a conversation. I told the lady what I needed; she was not paying ANY attention to what she was doing! At that point I am like, this is crazy! Transaction goes thought, the worker Yells out "Why didn't you remind me the ATM/Credit card system was down?" The worker said to me our system is down, I can't give you your money order. After I had already put my pin number in the keypad, the transition went thought on my end. I am asking question, she was not helpful at all. No apologies nothing. Something told me to call my bank, the money was withdrawn from my account. I went back in to the same lady. At the point she said the same thing happened to another customer. NO SIGNS WERE POSTED TO INFORMER CUSTOMER!!!!. She told me she was going to get her supervisor. This is my favorite part.... I waited 45 minutes for the supervisor to come out. She had the BIGGEST ATTITUDE!!!! I was cool as a cucumber, I understand systems go down. I get it I have been on the other end. I have a smile on my face, you know. I wanted some answers; to what was going on and how was I going to get my money back. This Lady was soooooooooooo RUDE!!! She said; the system is down I cant see the transaction on her register, so it did not go thought. I said yes it did, I called my bank and your location is on there. The supervisor, you can leave your information "if you want". There is nothing I can do for you. Talk to your bank to get your money back....WOW....I could not say anything; I was just looking at her!!! LIKE LADY YOU ARE TRIPPING!!!! You work for a company, that means you take the good bad and the ugly. I waited 45 minutes for you to come out here, you coming at me like I am out here raising hell. I gave her my information. And asked will you be fallowing up with me? She yelled at me, "For what, I can't do anything for you"! It is out of my hands, talk to your bank. I just walked away. I said a pray for her. She called me 1hr and 1/2 later, still very rude and snob. I asked her, why are YOU being so nasty with me? I have not been disrespectful to you this whole time. You are responsible for what happens; yes you do have to look in to this. At no point in this conversation, you have not apologized for the inconvenience this has caused me. It has been nothing but, Hirable CUSTOMER SERVICE. The supervises said. I am sorry you feel that way (all rude people say that, when they are out of line). I hung up the phone. This happened on a Thursday. I got went back the next day at 12noon. I talked to the lead supervisor. I gave her the run down of what happened. I told her how unprofessional the other supervisor and staff were, and asked to talk to her boss. I talked to the director; He was not censured at all. I had to wait 6 days to get my money back. Customer Service is a lost art. We all have to work for someone. You can be self-employed, you still have to be nice to people. Or you want have a business. Working for a company, you could care less and it shows. You punch a clock do your time and you go home, could give a fart about your job or how you treat people. I have been in customer service for over 16 years; I have worked my way up. I am still nice to people. You never know whom you are talking to. Take the good with the bad. Do your time and go home. Needles to say, I will not go back to this post office. read more

I literally just called the Post Office at 4:40pm. Someone kept picking up the phone without saying hello. When I finally got through again they just put the phone down and wouldn't say anything. Horrible service!! Especially since I really needed the items that I had delivered. read more

I am always amazed at how pleasant the postal workers at the counter are here! I've always been greeted with a warm hello and asked very courteously how they can be of help AND even wish me a nice day at the conclusion of our transaction. Amazing! Perhaps they've benefited from some unique customer service training or there's an incentive system in place at this location. read more

I came in yesterday to ship a priority envelope under 2 lbs. I was processing my postage at the self serve machine in the lobby. Suddenly their employee a short heavy set black woman wearing a short golden wig, interrupted me. I did not need her help nor did I ask for it. She started telling me I chose the wrong package description. I use this machine all the time. I have watched her aggressively interrupt consumers all the time. She has no customer service acumen nor does she offer a smile. I think consumers are afraid to say, "Thank you, but I can do it on my own." As a result I exercised patience by walking away. I haven't actually stepped in here for a few years, as I do all my postage printing online, so the 5 stars isn't for the physical post office. I work from home so have A LOT of packages that go daily. I've been so lucky in our mail carriers. They've all been incredibly nice and helpful and have gone the extra mile to help me out. Our current carrier, Maria, is super friendly. A big plus is that she's a dog lover. One time I found a loose dog without tags near our house and showed her to Maria and Maria immediately knew who she was and where she lived so I could drop her off. Of course, the down side of her dog-loving ways is that she's also come by my house to tell me about loose dogs SHE'S seen en route and then of course, I'm compelled to get in my car to try to go after them. Sometimes I'm afraid to open my door when I see it's her for fear she's spotted another dog she wants me to go after. I love our mail carriers so much that it's one of the reasons I don't want to move--no kidding! Even though the prices have gone up over the years, I still think in general, the post office offers incredibly good prices to deliver packages. I mean, a letter from 1 end of the country to the other end costs less than 50 cents! read more

I had a problem with my package being lost and receiving someone else package. I called the Antioch office and they were fast to solve the matter. 5mins later I received my right package and handed the wrong one to the mailman. My grandma and I went in to get our passports. They said they did not have a copying machine so we had to go to Raleys in order to get our licenses and such copied. What postal office doesn't have a copy machine/let you use their copier? But other than that they were good about helping us with the process. I showed up at 12 to get my passport stuff done and put away before my trip. I called and the recorder said they accept walkins from 10am-2pm monday through friday. When I walk in I see a door that is dedicated to passports and I knock. Well this old white haired lady asked if I am on the list.... I dont see a list.... therefore I ask ... "what list". she then tells me that they only serve about 10 people a day and that the family in the corner was waiting since 930am.... I needed copies of my birth certificate... (i had the original with me)... I asked if I can make a copy and she said she doesnt have a copy machine.... I said ..."its 2017 and you dont have a copy machine in a place of business?".... she then advised me that pittsburg takes walk ins untill 130pm... I am leaving a 5 star yelp review for pittsburg because this woman is whack and told me all sorts of nonsense.... never going back, going back to email, not supporting this person. read more

Whoever our carrier is apparently thinks he or she is 8 years old on the playground where you go up and hit the person you secretly have a crush on. Our idiot carrier just LOVES to leave the mailbox door open so every thief in town can see what we have in there. Does he or she do that to my neighbor whose car blocks the mailboxes? Nope. And they've been told that it isn't our car blocking the mailboxes. He or she needs to stop crushing on us and get into a real relationship with real people. Either that or they need to get laid and get rid of their frustration that way. And oh, it'd be nice if the post office ever answered their damn phones. For the last three days, we have not been getting our mail. Looked at our security cameras and noticed the mail truck driving past our house. I was waiting for a package today. The mail person drove past our house and lied on the online delivery status that he/she left a notice at our door because we were not home. I was home, and saw the mail truck drive by our home without stopping. My cameras again showed the mail person not leaving this imaginary notice that he/she tried to leave a package, and the cameras again caught the mail truck driving past our home like people ramming through WalMart on the day after Thanksgiving. I wonder what he or she is doing with our mail. We are heading to the post office tomorrow to look for our mail, especially our Christmas package. The mail person is now known in our home as the Grinch who stole Christmas. I wonder if lying by a federal employee on a government form is a crime. read more

Horrible service!! I went to submit my passport application here and the guy told me that my photo was damaged and I couldn't find a single thing wrong with my photograph. Secondly the passport section timings are very misleading, the guy told me they work on first come first basis and if there is nobody coming in for some time they just close the passport office for the day even if the schedule says its open until 12. Went to the other location at 3 pm withot appointment and they took my application the way it was !! read more

I would have given this post office no stars if I could've. Their passport section is the worst I have ever come across. The service of this post office is horrible. We have a small business in downtown Antioch and when our carrier Art is on vacation, no one knows how to do his job. Our mail was NEVER delivered yesterday and we need our mail on a daily basis to stay operational. What's worse is someone mailed their lease payment to us. The tracking on it stated it was delivered to our office at 12:30. It was not, our office is locked up between 12 and 1; which has been the standard for the past 16 years.
