The staff is nice HOWEVER, every time I bring in bulk packages to give them, they DONT SCAN the packages so I have a difficult time tracking them. I'm not sure why this KEEPS OCCURRING but I'm chalking it up to laziness and will go elsewhere. This is the 3rd time I've dropped off packages for shipment -and they didn't scan them but just threw them on the truck to the OAKLAND BMC. I'm a seller so I have tons of packages and to continuously not scan packages for whatever reasons is beyond my understanding. I always put my flag out if I need my mail to be picked up and I clip my mail to the mailbox. I even received mail those days and still my mail is not mail picked up. So if I'm doing everything right why won't my postman pick up my mail? I call the post office and they sometimes say my carrier was off that day, but still, come on, it shouldn't happen regardless. If I could give this USPS negative stars I would. I came for the kids passports with confirmation time at 8am. There's a guy that doesn't even want to open the door and is talking to us through the wall on the other side with no door. I pounded the door because he could not hear my knocks. Like open the door and talk to me face-to-face instead of yelling through a wall. Finally, a guy named PREET said that they do not open until 9 AM and it is not USPS fault that I was able to book online for an 8 AM appt. I told him I don't know if I could come back that day because we need to go to work. He told me to come back and just ask for him since I couldn't wait. So, I booked an appointment online just to be safe, but it was a month out. I decided to still come back the next day 9am and ask for PREET. However a guy named FELIPE was there and said because my appointment was not that day they couldn't do it. Mind you, there is nobody else here. We were explaining the situation to him and asked to see PREET. Preet said I should have came back yesterday, but what's the difference between yesterday and the next day? No one else was even there!! He came out with NO BACKBONE and said nothing allowing FELIPE to talk mad sh** to us in front of our kids. He told us "YOU CAN JUST LEAVE" and "IM SORRY... MAYBE I SHOULD JUST DROP EVERYTHING FOR YOU!" "WE ARE NOT GOING TO HELP YOU JUST FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE." what manager allows for his employer to speak to customers like that? Wow!! Stay away from this place. They have terrible moral and ethical values and poor customer service. They are BEYOND RUDE! Their attitude looks like what the place looks like.... We live in a gravel road in Wells Rd and this delivery drivers suck!! They never deliver when there is a puddle on the road even when the residents commute on the daily basis is small cars. Erin the supervisor, has screwed up that post office so bad. Delivery driver plowed her vehicle through my lawn during our rainy season and gouged two giant ruts, almost getting stuck. We approached Erin the supervisor, and told us nothing could be done. 2 days later we noticed we hadn't got mail for three days and it was being sent back to the original address. Called the main office to report, and finally got a call from "ERIN", who said she couldn't identify the problem, but would make sure we'd get our mail delivered from now on. Totatl incompetence on her part. We've lived here 21 yrs, and never had a problem until she came aboard. read more

My wife and I had to bring our kids here to get some last minute passports without an appointment. The folks here were very attentive and were able to take us in for processing. It's not a very big post office, but fine for the small town we live in. There are usually lines, but they move at a reasonable speed. Parking lot is ridiculously small, but it fits the needs of this location. read more

Com'on guys it's the U.S.P.S IE: the post office. What were you guys wanting? This is a cute little office, 4 windows but no more than 3 people seem to be there at any given time. The service is reasonable and quite fast compared to most post offices. The people are very friendly and will help you to no end. After calling multiple times and getting no one to pick up I resorted to calling and trying different extensions until I finally got a representative to answer the phone, I asked if they could deliver my package after our mailboxes were destroyed and was placed on hold for 15 minutes for them to come back and say there is no way for them to deliver without a mail receptacle. So I asked if they could hold the item for me and was informed there was no way they could hold a package no matter of its importance and that it would be sent back to the sender which was in a different state and said I would have to contact them for any sort of resolution. The issue I have is that they have delivered onto my porch directly before and there is no reason that they could not have done so again other than the fact the two people I spoke to were extremely rude and incompetent. Don't use this post office if you have a choice. read more

I submittted one other review for this location a few years ago. In all fairness I must update with a better score as they have improved greatly. Lines are long like any other postoffice but counter service has been very good in general and no longer have so many misdeliveries to my mailbox. Nice to have good service. I have always received great service from my Little Oakley Post office and prefer it to any of the big offices I've used. I have had packages go awry during the pandemic but upon research have found that it was not the error of my local P.O. Cudos to Tony, who goes out of his way to be friendly and learn the names of regular P.O. users. Yes, sometimes the lines can be long and during those times I have found the clerks to sometimes be abrupt. I feel that this is a natural response to trying to get as many disgruntled people served in the shortest time possible. I have read comments that the staff is not helpful, nor friendly. I have also seen the spoiled brat behavior of people who feel entitled to treat postal workers as inept personal servants. You get what you put out people. read more

Despite other reviews, I had a very positive experience. My package was unable to get delivered due to the mailbox being blocked by cars. When I didn't receive the next delivery day I filed a service request. An awesome gal named Erin called me very soon after and informed me that she resolved the issue and she got it on the carriers truck today to be delivered. I missed the arrival of a package and it needed to be signed so it was rerouted back to the post office. I went to the post office and Felipe stated that the route from my address hadn't returned it and that it would most likely return before they closed or the next day. Instead of allowing me to leave right away, he went to double check if the package had arrived but it hadn't. I ended up going back before closing and it was there! Had a 1115am appt, went straight to the window at 1110 to let them know I had an appt. 3 people who were standing in line said they had appts also and didn't realize they could of walked up to the front to tell them they had an appt. So we were told they had to help them because they had earlier appts. It's not my fault they waited in a line without letting people know they were there for an appt. So we weren't seen until 12pm. Then a guy comes in at 12 saying he had an appt at 11:45am and they made him reschedule. WTH you are already behind just see the man. I'm an 11:15am getting seen at 12. Then she measures my photo and sends it off. 90 days later I get a notice saying my passport photo was too large. Why did she measure it if it was wrong, she should of had us take another photo. It was impossible to get an appt in SF to see why my passport was held up. If your passport is taking longer than 9 weeks just know it was probably an error over looked by this facility. read more

If you want a safe place to send your packages go to another post office. When they lose your big expensive packages Pete will give you the run around for months never returning phone calls and then leave you out to dry. This post office is horrible. I've filed so many complaints about them writing pink attempts of delivery without actually attempting. My mail person has a very strong tendency to put the wrong mail in my box and vice versa. I usually return mail to its rightful owners but can't say that the neighbors do the same. I've had to file too many claims this year because of lost packages that my bank probably thinks I'm scamming. The post master is equally incoherent. read more

This is my local post office and is always busy. Every time I come in there is always a line of about 3-4 people. Very rare to fine no line. They have 4 -5 regular tellers that are very friendly and seem to know their customers names. Not mine though :( What I don't like is the fact that I like to buy fun and exciting stamps for my postage. They NEVER have any exciting stamps. Just the plain Liberty forever stamp and all the others with peoples portrait ie: Ronald Regan, Helen Hayes, Gregory Peck, blah blah blah. I wanted the Go Green or Celebrate or The Year of the Rabbit or a few others. They NEVER have anything fun. I always have to order them online. The female clerks are HORRIBLE. They have no regards there's a line formed outside the door. One clerk was helping a customer looking up a package, she be wasting time pacing back and forth but not exactly searching for what she was looking for. Another female clerk with a jabber jaw chit chatting her heart out as if there's no one there. As for me, I encountered an older lady with gray hair, who was assisting me on my Passport appointment. OK, so first, I called Vanity Fair and asked the magazine why I had not gotten their last three issues, since I had two years left on my subscription. They said the March issue had been returned as "Undeliverable." I was upset. I have lived here for nine years and I get all my mail at this address, as well as several magazines. I will never get those issues, but they said they would send magazines to me again. So today, I looked online to see why I had not gotten a book I ordered from Amazon. It said, "package was refused and sent back to seller." Again I called and they said it had been sent via the US Post Office (the one in Oakley, of course). REFUSED??? How can that happen? I have gotten so much mail in the last few years that was not for me. I usually just go and put it where it belongs, even if I do not know the people. Once or twice I have put letters back in my mailbox with "Delivered to wrong address" written on it, so the mail person would know she misdelivered again. I don't know if my book went to someone else, who "refused it," or what happened to my magazines. Absolutely the worst customer service in this office- I came in today after discovering that a package was not delivered as stated. I tried to call but all I got was a busy signal. Already thinking its going to be a madhouse I made the trip down there-- EMPTY with 4 workers chatting. I spoke with Yvonne about my concern that the package might be there. She asks my address and goes I to the back. Comes back and say the carrier was there and says he did deliver to my porch. He has all the houses memorized?? Mind you he is a new person to my route. I was asked to fill out a complaint form. Wouldn't have to do this much work if he'd had the courtesy of ringing my bell quick to alert homeowner there was a package.... why a DVD couldn't fit on my mailbox is mind boggling!!!! They lost my plant mail. Went to post office 5 different days and spoke with supervisors Danny and Mel. They keep promising to get back to me. Nobody ever got back to me. Danny even promised to have my plant there on a Monday after they retrieve it from wherever they delivered it to but when I got there, he was off and still no plant. I even spoke to the lady postmaster who said the same crap that they would call me and let me know what's going on. THIS POST OFFICE IS THE WORST! No one knows what's going on.
